We were recently in town and stopped by Daycamp for our morning coffee. It was a Saturday morning and it was packed (we took this as a good sign)! The line was long but moved fairly quickly and ordering was quick and easy. I had a vanilla latte in a mug and my husband had an americano. Both were great. Nice concrete floors, comfortable couches, good music that's not too loud, an upstairs work/patio/hangout area, benches outside to sit on also, AND they have a back area where you can see and smell all the roasting they do in house!! SO COOL!! Like every coffee shop should have, I got there cold brew!! It was their house blend. They told me the house blend will slightly change at times, and this one was a mix of Guatemalan, Ethiopian, and Columbian beans. I got a 20oz for a VERY good price, and I couldn't put it down. Literally drank it in about 3 min. Smooth, not too heavy, good bite at the end, everything you would want! It's clean, it's got local pastries, it's in a new spot that looks up and coming, and you can buy whole bags of coffee as well! Best coffee shop in Chico I have found. Side note...this place is NOT open on Sundays. Tells me one of 2 things. Either the owners care about their employees and they value them being happy and not being all about the money, or it is a Christian run business. I actually choose option C which is BOTH! Husband & I were looking for a coffee date where we could hang out together. We considered Starbucks but wanted more of an "atmosphere" rather than an in-&-out type coffee shop. Daycamp Coffee definitely hit the mark for us. We walked in to see quite a relaxed vibe with even a 2nd "half floor" balcony with additional seating. The staff were incredibly friendly at each touch point. The menu features your standard coffee & tea drinks, along with a few kids options. They also have a small breakfast menu & a curated selection of pastries. They seem to be dog-friendly, as we saw a couple furry friends visit while we were there. Husband enjoyed his "basic B" drink of an iced chai latte & I enjoyed a hot Chico Fog latte. Both were very flavorful without being overly sweet. I have been here often. It's a nice place and the drinks are good, but the staff is rude and they certainly don't understand what "customer service" is. I've experienced this on most visits, but this time was the last straw. I waited for 20 minutes for my drink. When I asked about it, both baristas were incredibly rude. When I came back to check again ( I was sitting outside) the shorter female barista started telling me that I was giving attitude, and started gaslighting me, not letting me finish my sentences. She was saying they only have one espresso machine ( my drink was a tea) and complaining about how busy they were. Well, I'm going to help them out by not going back. read more

Went this am and ordered my friend's coffee which was a double espresso with vanilla topped with cream. The barista told me they aren't able to pour espresso over ice and then I asked well can you make an iced americano she said yes. Which means they can pour espresso over ice. I've worked in coffee for five years so this was really hard to understand why they couldn't make essential and americano with vanilla topped with cream. I asked for no onions on the lox toast and they gave me no sprouts but just capers and salmon and cream cheese on a tiny toast of bread for 10 dollars. I will never come back, so disappointed. The baristas also continued to talk to each other and then look in my direction making me so uncomfortable. Terrible customer service. read more

First time ordering any type of food from daycamp today and while I've had a few of their matcha lattes before I was excited to try their food for the first time today. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast burrito today during the morning rush and was pleasantly surprised on how quick I received my order, the burrito itself was great in flavor, size, and price. It was generous in avocado, with seasoned potatoes instead of plain, and with fresh egg. The only downside to this item was the fact that there were some egg shells in it, which wasn't to much of a problem until a sharper egg shell caused some gum bleeding. Not to upset that this happened because accidents happen! But overall if you haven't given daycamp a shot then I would recommend, your getting fresh food for a good price and are provided with a great ambiance. read more

Ordered a cold brew for here (16 oz) and def didn't received 16 oz in an ice filled glass. Also ordered a bfast sandwich. Ingredients seemed like a good combo. The person serving me the coffee then exclaims "you got the end of that batch!" Which should I have been a flag for me to say no thanks please use w fresh batch. But didn't... Putrid....I'm a fan of cold brew but no amount of any additions helped save the flavor of this glass of coffee. Waited over 15 min for a bfast sandwich...took it to go at this point...awful. The guy who handed me it runs up to me and then runs off from the kitchen. 1. Sandwich was Cold 2. Dense heavy bread, 3. Avocado so heavy in lemon it ruined the flavor of the rest of the sandwich. The coffee tastes the same as McDonald's. Not to mention this place is over priced AF, might as well just go to stoble. Seriously $8 for a medium coffee???? It was ALL ice!!!!! I Had an americano, and was pleasantly surprised by how they implement a smooth jazz saxophone solo into their shots of espresso. Would go again, the roast of the beans was a bit light for me, but which my wife preferred.There was a quaint nondenominational minimalist but colorful crowd gathered for what I would expect to find in the metaverse. The plants looked basic and healthy. Well done. When I asked the barista for an alternative to bovine dairy, she turned to a man behind her and shouted, "Davis get the milk oats!" I thought she said "milk goats" but Davis brought forth some free range milk oats and proceeded to milk them right before my eyes! Wow! What an immersive experience. It was a first for me to experience unpasteurized & un-homogenized fresh from the Milk Oats milk, straight into my Americano, so sweet, so fresh.
