Avocado Toast With egg
Austin Q.

Really really nice and chill coffee place. They have downstairs and upstairs seating with some couches as well. Really cool. I got avocado toast with egg. It was really yummy but nothin special to write about. I also got a black coffee dark roast which was pleasant as well. The ladies there were very nice and the speed of service was excellent as well.

This is a charming coffee shop with a spacious, inviting atmosphere and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating--perfect for hanging out or getting work done. The menu includes a variety of coffee drinks, lattes, pastries, breakfast items, and house specialties. We tried a vanilla latte with breve (iced), a lemon blueberry muffin, and the Camp Burrito. The muffin was fresh and flavorful, and the burrito was hearty and satisfying. Overall, it's a cute spot with good vibes and solid food, but the pricing on add-ons could definitely be more reasonable.

Coffee run!

Did a pit stop here before driving up to Lassen. Had a great tasting somewhat nutty latte and a very delicious burrito in the morning. Two dog owners came through, so strikes me as a fairly dog friendly place. Looks like it'd be a great place to study in a college town. Service was alright. Came in the morning and didn't get a chance to see how it handles crowded service, but looked like they had enough people in the back to handle a morning rush.

Delicious coffee, great vibes, fun seasonal flavors, ample seating, decent prices! I love Daycamp and can see why everyone else does too. I love stopping by for a quick coffee with friendly service to start my morning off right!

Garden Bowl & Beer

I came to Daycamp during breakfast time to work, ordered a coffee and cronut and ended up staying though lunch, and I ordered a bowl and a beer. I love that I was able to do both. Service was great, and the overall vibe of Daycamp isn't weird and there aren't obnoxious people, however I did have noise cancelling headphones.. 10/10

What a gem! We were looking for a coffee during our trip to Lassen Volcano since I needed my daily dose of "fancy coffee." This place is amazing. Spacious, adorably decorated, and yes, lots of options for fancy coffee . They also serve good selection of tea and food. We tried the latte, the chico fog, and their breakfast burritos. Drinks and food were ready quickly. If you have fur babies, this place is also dog friendly. Will come back whenever we are in the area!

Iced Rose Latte and the Iced Chai Latte

First of all the service and the ambience are stellar! We loved the art and the feel of the place. Also the barista was very kind and served us with a smile. We ordered the Iced Chai Latte and the Rose Latte both were good but a bit watered down.

Lox toast

Revisited a few times since my first time trying this place. The worker let me know the maple almond scones were pretty good and it was definitely one of the better scones I've ever had. Definitely would get again, but they've been out the last few times I've been back. Also tried their lox toast and while I felt it was on the smaller side, it was delicious! Recommend this spot for coffee, pastries, and food.. as well as for studying as there's plenty of seats and wifi.

Coffee: Great. Location: Great. Service: Great. My new bike-able coffee shop. Try it out! --or don't so it's less busy :)

This place and Stoble are the best coffee in Chico hands down. It's definitely worth the trek.

I must have showed up at the right time. Ordered a cortado from the gentleman who made my coffee as well, and took a seat at the window bar. First sips. Pretty good. Nicely balanced espresso. Mild citrus and floral notes with rich chocolate and brown sugar that lingers on the palate. Medium bitterness, but nice. What a great little spot. BUT then... I finished my coffee and politely asked where I could put my dirty cup, as opposed to leave it where I sat. (Welp... don't expect Dutch Bros-in your face, friendly) I asked the girl behind the counter who was annoyed I bothered her. She pointed and said over there. Which was not very apparent. So I went over in that direction and seen an empty counter. I didn't want to just set it there, so I asked an older gentleman and he nodded and pointed. No words necessary I guess. There was a cart tucked in the corner with an empty bus tub. Nothing points or says please put your dirty stuff here. But I'm going to say that's where they go. Why my question was such a bother was unknown. You guys got good coffee. But your personalities are worse than Eeyore.

Seriously disappointing. The staff was friendly enough but super concerned about their personal conversation and not me or the customer behind me. I decided on the Milky Way Mocha which is a standard mocha but with caramel. This honestly tasted like a bad cup of hot chocolate. It literally was straight sugar, I couldn't taste coffee/espresso at all. I ended up throwing half of it out. I also got a slice of lemon poppyseed bread that initially looked like it might've been made in house but after unwrapping it, it seemed more like it came in a loaf from Sam's Club or Costco and was sliced and wrapped in plastic wrap. All that for $9 was not what I would call a great start to my day.

I was smiling before ordering because of the picture in the bathroom! Very small amount of seats (probably 20 at most) and only 2 people working which was all they needed. The baristas were friendly and knowledgable! I needed a nap, so I did NOT go with a cold brew! They had big dispensers of 4 different kinds of coffee, and there decaf house blend was ok. They do have an option to get an iced coffee with frozen coffee cubes in it which is something I love! My small complaint is that back in the hall of the bathroom you could see an open closet with all the cleaning supplies in it. Not the most appetizing thing. They did have a bunch of options of food available, but also were not fresh and wrapped in plastic wrap. I did see a burrito made fresh which was huge and looked good, but not a fan of just a random open closet. Overall if you want a quiet place with friendly staff and a wide array of choices to taste some stuff this is a great place to go. Nothing significant to separate it and get 5 stars, a couple of small things, but for a local coffee shop def worth a visit!! Well done Cal Java!!

Service was fantastic, staff was incredibly friendly and brought our drinks to us outside. I had meant for this to be a pit stop for coffee but the outdoor patio was so nice, we ended up sitting in the shade with the pups and taking our time before our looong drive back to SoCal. Black coffee. The beans were from Kenya, which is not my partner's bean country of choice but he said the coffee was good anyway. Oat milk latte. My incredibly particular mom said this was the best latte she's ever had. Dad and I were shook. Iced cinnabon oat milk latte. Surprisingly balanced. Cinnamon forward, which I like, but not overbearing. Lighter on the maple flavor, which I'm grateful for, as maple can get real heavy, real quick for me. Carrot zucchini bread. This was slightly flour-y to my palette, but overall, not bad. Moist, and not too sweet.

The children that work there, probably should go back to daycare. Fake smiles, fake professionalism, just fake all around. Except for the tall doofus that came to the window, he didn't know how to fake it yet so he was just an unprofessional dumbass.
