My latte is good but I'm not sure about this brick of a blueberry bread I picked up. It is so dense, almost like bread pudding. I didn't like it all. I wonder if they had it delivered by some bakery. I'll come back for lattes, though. Baked goods will require extremely careful considerations next time.

This location has been closed for years. The other Cal Java Roasters are under a different owner and they are awesome!

They do have an option to get an iced coffee with frozen coffee cubes in it which is something I love!

Located a little bit out of the downtown area, this breakfast…read more/ lunch spot is relaxing. The breakfast / brunch offerings are very nice. This trip, we got a breakfast bagel sandwich, a classic breakfast plate and the daily quiche. We all loved our food. The bagel sandwich was huge and great for taking 1/2 for later. There is a nice outdoor seating area as well as indoor seating. We liked our relaxing breakfast.

Might be difficult to navigate for those with mobility issues, though. It seems to be a popular spot with both young and old patrons. There's an area at the back with what looked like art supplies and things to keep folks entertained. Parking is semi-tight right outside but it's doable even with a midsize SUV. I got there around noon on a Wednesday and it was a little busy but I was the only one in line for about 5 minutes before I ordered and while I ordered. It took a little longer than I expected to get the wrap I ordered, but I didn't mind. The Smokin' Veggie wrap was VERY good, especially when I added some hot sauce (they have several options by the water station at the back)! And it was a great portion, too! I only ate half there and ate the other half later for a late lunch part 2. I had hoped to get a pastry, but I was a bit disappointed with the pastry selection -- it seemed to mostly be muffins and croissants from Costco and Safeway or something. I didn't get a drink this time, but maybe next time. But the wrap was delish! Thanks!

We were super hungry after farmers market so we cruised for breakfast. A competitor was more…read morecrowded so my daughter said lemme introduce you to a new one. She drove to The Roost Cafe. I scoured the menu and was excited to find so many hash choices. I was moved by the Irish Burrito, but ordered Linda's omelette; while my daughter went with the eggs Benedict. In a town that takes its breakfast seriously, and where I've probably worked my way through more menus and reviews than I should admit, this one quietly climbed right to the top of my list. My omelette was exactly what you want when you order one. Fluffy without being dry, full of flavor without trying too hard, and cooked like someone in the kitchen actually cares about eggs. The ingredients were balanced and fresh, not just thrown together as filler. The hollandaise sauce was original, I couldn't find a lemon, cheese or any other overwhelming base, it stood out. The hash was perfect. My daughter's eggs Benedict looked like a postcard version of what that dish should be. Perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise that didn't feel heavy, and ham that actually tasted like ham instead of just salt delivery. One of those plates where you steal a bite "just to try it" and immediately understand the decision. The real surprise for me was the potato pancake I picked instead of the usual hashbrowns. Light, airy inside, crispy outside, and seasoned just right. Honestly one of the better breakfast potatoes I've had anywhere. If potatoes had a hall of fame, this one would at least get a nomination. The place itself has a warm, comfortable feel. Wood tones, rooster themes everywhere, a relaxed local energy where people look like regulars and first-timers feel welcome anyway. Service was friendly and efficient without feeling rushed. In a city full of strong breakfast spots, this might actually be my current favorite. That's not something I say lightly.

The interior is cute and clean. Our server was very kind and attentive. We ordered the Corned Beef…read moreHash and eggs plate and the Tuna Melt sandwich with fries and all were tasty.

Perfect ambiance, not overstimulating, and space is nice and airy. It's my own ritual; I always order beignets, and they are consistently good, light and fluffy. This time I ordered the open face toast with bacon (I'm totally butchering what it's actually called), but it was giving eggs benny, and it was so so delicious. Their hollandaise sauce tasted house made so I asked my server (Katie, amazing, 5 stars. Super personable and friendly) and sure enough I learned B Street is a scratch kitchen (absolutely everything is made in-house). IMPRESSIVE. The whole dish was very hearty, exactly what you'd need after a night out and it didn't sit heavy. Thank you B Street, I'll be back soon ;)
