Some of the older ladies working there are so sweet and helpful, especially if you tell them it's your first time, and some of them seem more intimidating and aggressive. After we had already explained that we preferred medium rare and wanted a slower pace, she came over, saw a little pink in the meat, turned the fire back on, and cooked it until it was overdone. She also started putting meat directly onto people's plates without asking first. Everyone at our table had different preferences. Some mainly wanted vegetables, our daughter preferred pieces with more fat on the sides instead of the more pink cuts, and some of us simply weren't ready for more food yet. Since we know everyone's preferences best, it would have made much more sense for us to serve the meat ourselves instead of having it automatically placed onto plates. One suggestion for management: name tags would really help in a restaurant where the staff is actively cooking and interacting with customers.
