Ate there last night for the first time on a recommendation from DiVine Wine Bar. Overall excellent! Chicken Marsala mine, Veal Parm for my wife. Outstanding all around. Great favors, well prepared nicely priced. Decor is funky old ski town which we loved, felt like you were at a friends house. Service was excellent from start to finish. Better than just about any Italian in all of Salt Lake (which thinks Olive Garden is haute cuisine!) definitely plan to come back. read more

Found this place a few years ago & always come back each time I'm town. Love the food & service is always very good.

My husband took me here for a belated birthday dinner, and we both agree that it is probably the best Italian food we've ever had. I love Italian, so we eat out at Italian places semi-often, and I was still totally blown away by this place. The server was super friendly and helpful, and every dish we ordered was delicious. From the crab and artichoke appetizer to the fruit crisp for dessert, we had nothing but good things to say. We had the mussels, and while I didn't enjoy their texture (because I'm weird like that) my husband LOVED them, and I did love dipping bread in the broth they came in. The only drawback to this little place is that it is on the pricey side, which will keep us from going back as often as we'd probably like, but we will definitely be going back for special occasions and to treat ourselves. :) read more

The Sawtooth Relay brought us to Hailey to stay the night before going home. Needed a place to eat dinner. I had eaten here about 15 years ago after a day of fishing the Big Wood, and fondly recall how much it rocked then. So why not give it another try? I was blown away by the lasagne and the bolognese sauce it was cooked in 15 years ago and I still remember that. So obviously I recommended the lasagne. I went for the chicken parm with side of angel hair under a spicy tomato sauce topped with chopped basil. Fresh grated parm on the table to top it with. The lasagne was ordered, too. Both were A+. For starters they brought out a fresh tossed salad with an oil/vinegar dressing and some of the best bread we've ever had. Don't know if baked in-house or brought in, it was fresh and airy and had a crispy crust that crumbled in your mouth. A++ on that. Apple Crisp was on the dessert menu for the night (the fruit varies, I guess) and I can never pass that up. Topped with two scoops of vanilla it was most excellent. Three or four other dessert options that included Tiramisu and mud pie. Fresh brewed iced tea filled my glass about 5 times over. Creaky hardwood floors and booths with a handful of tables make up the inside of this old building. Has a nice charm to it when combined with the touch of elegance given by the place settings and presentations and the laid-back ambiance given by the servers running around in shorts. Our server was very professional, attentive and polite, as were the others we observed. We enjoyed every aspect of our dining experience here and will surly return the next time we're in the area. DaVinci's is a great little Italian Restaurant on the edge of civilization. Two hundred yards away is the edge of town and you can see Elk and Foxes hanging out in a field. Nonetheless, the Italian food, particularly the lasagna is great. We had great calamari as an appetizer, followed by a great salad. The salad came in a large bowl for the table, and we all had seconds! For desert we shared a Blackberry Crisp with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Throw in a couple of Red Hooks, and a nice Cabernet, and the four of us had a great evening. read more

daVinci's was less than desirable. My wife and I went there based on our Hotel recommendation and some reviews. I got the Meat Lasagna it was straight out of the microwave and boiling hot on the outside, I cut into the middle assuming it came from the freezer I was right it was still cold in the middle. The waiter took it back and put it back in the microwave for me to get it to a warmer temperature. People sometimes ask why this matters, its because if they didn't cool it down properly when they reheat it and its not to the right temp bacteria can grow which can cause illness. Back to the meal, the meat seemed like it had been boiled and was a weird texture the sauce wasn't anything special. My wife's Chicken Alfredo was about the same, the chicken was tough wasn't grilled or pan fried maybe even boiled I guess. The salad was swimming in their dressing, they say its endless bread and salad but the waiter never took any time to come by and see if we wanted more. For spending more than $45.00 for the two of our meals and no drinks just water I would expect it to be special but it was less than average and the waiter and no one seemed to care. We've been dining at Da Vinci's since they opened and last night September 10th 2017 couldn't of disappointed us more. My husband made the reservation as it was my 60th birthday and evidently he forgot to leave phone number. When we arrived the gentleman that sat us rushed outside to seat us at a far away table despite my husband being on crutches. I said "we don't want to sit outside" and he became rude about not leaving a phone number. (I usually make the reservation however it was my birthday), the waiter was pleasant however after placing our food down we never saw him again. The same man that sat us collected plates and gave us our check never cracking a smile. The veal masala was the same as always (great) however the portion has been downsized quite a bit and came on a very tired plate. The ravioli was ok but again half of what they use to serve. A large group (s) arrived after us and perhaps that's why we were ignored and treated poorly. read more

Cute little restaurant with simple menu. I got chicken fettuccine Alfredo (called The Leonardo on the menu) the noodle seemed homemade and were delicious and the Alfredo sauce was amazing. The salad that came with the meal had just the right amount of everything in it with really yummy dressing. The fresh homemade bread that came with the meal was also nice and warm and soooo good. My favorite thing was the brownie chocolate fudge sundae. I 10/10 you get that! It's kinda big so you could share it with one other person. Giving this restaurant a 4/5 because our waiter was not attentive and didn't seem present when we would ask for things and never checked in with us. We had to call him over. read more

We were visiting from out of town and found this little gem. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the service was great. The meal started with house salad and fresh bread. My granddaughter ordered the choose your own pasta and thoroughly enjoyed it. The beef tenderloin was phenomenal. We had creme brulee for desert and it was one of the best I've ever had. This is definitely a place we'll return when visiting the area again. Highly recommended!! read more

We've been going to DA Vinci's for decades, and it continues to be one of our favorites in the Sun Valley/Hailey area. It is funky, features terrific Italian food and an endless salad bowl, followed by a giant mud pie for desert, if you're still hungry. My favorites include the chicken parmigiana and piccata, and the lasagna. The nightly Rotolo special is also very good. It is moderately priced with friendly service. Last night I went to dinner here for my 30th birthday with 10 guests. We spent well over $300 plus tip. The owner, Jen, was our server. She was rude the entire time, huffing and puffing, rolling her eyes, and mumbling under her breath because we asked for refills on our water and other typical things. The meal was sub-par for DiVinci's-- I've eaten here hundreds of times over the years and always loved it. We didn't complain about the poor food, however, and politely asked that she split the bill 2 ways, which was clearly laid out (a number of us are servers, so we understand how frustrating splitting a bill can be). Jen again rolled her eyes and made a comment about it being inconvenient. When she returned with the bill, I asked her to please be respectful to us and stop rolling her eyes. She replied that she would be happy if we never returned again! What a shame she is to females, business owners, and and humanity! The prices have doubled since I started eating here and obviously the service is abysmal! Don't waste your time or money on such a horrific woman! read more

We recently dined at daVinci's during a trip from NY/NJ area. Coming from an area rich in excellent Italian food, we were willing to accept less than we were used to. DaVinci's delivered a surprisingly fantastic Italian meal. We actually went back twice in one week. The clams appetizer was REALLY good (don't forget the bread for dunking into the ridiculously good broth), Calamari: perfectly spiced, Rotolo: excellent! Veal Parm: just like home. Bolognaise: best I've ever had. Finish with a heaping slice of mud pie and you can declare perfection. How is it that a small place in Idaho is nailing Italian food!? The owners (Jennifer and Larry) came by and made sure we were happy. They took time out to answer questions about the Hailey area. Believe it or not, i am typically a strict critic of restaurants. My husband and I were looking forward to great Italian dinner- well, not so much... Read some mixed reviews on Urban Spoon but tried it anyway. Hubby had the spaghetti and meatballs - he said you can't go wrong with traditional! Very disappointing - said it tasted like it was out of a can. Server finally appeared with parmesan cheese 15 min after it was served, but even that couldn't help it. I had the veal marsala which was cold, very thin sauce, not much flavor. Angel hair side also cold and tasteless. Ceaser salad mediocre - very old tough romaine. Got a tiramisu to go - horrible! Dry, cardboard-like cake with artificial tasting whipped cream. We took two bites and threw it out! Great atmosphere, but terrible food. Will not go back. read more

I've been going to daVinci's since the early 2000's-always my go-to place for comfort food, and ambiance, and waitstaff, and owners.....it's my second home-always welcoming....Now, I sometimes find myself jonesing for their salad, clams, mussels and up to three times a week, and always pleased.....love this place.....always enjoy the entire experience.
