    Pot pie

Honest review, food is delicious. We were running around Sun Valley to try and find a lunch spot and decided to go to Hailey for a less crowded experience. We asked the bartender/server what to order, she said the pot pie was delicious. And she was correct. The pot pie was home made and nothing like I've had before. My friend ordered the chowder and it did not disappoint! Very good food for the price. You do have to order at the bar and pay at the bar, there are no servers that come to the table. But otherwise drinks and food came out fast. This places gives a homey cabin feel.

Enchilada with crab + cream cheese (friend ordered this... seems like a weird combo but apparently it was good!)

Great service, food, and beer! A great spot especially if you're waiting for a flight at the Hailey airport. Recommend the Oktoberfest lager (:

What a great place in a beautiful little area! Upon landing at the airport in Hailey, ID, we chose to stop at a brewery on our way to our hotel in Ketchum. With that being said, I think we chose the right one! Right away, we were welcomed by a friendly waitress ready to seat us in our preferred location within the restaurant. My group chose to be seated on the outdoor patio in some comfortable patio seating. We did not order any food, but chose to do a beer tasting. The waitress explained that they were able to customize the "flight" to include whichever beers from the menu we wanted. This was great because we were not limited to a certain number of tastings and were able to rule out the kinds of beers we knew were not our favorites. Another thing that is exciting about this brewery is the way they offer different beers depending on the season. This would ensure that the experience is different when potentially visiting again! Overall, the service was great, the beer was delicious, and the seating was very comfortable! What a great way to kick off our trip to Sun Valley, ID!

Great food, good prices, nice brews I was really surprised by the high prices at the restaurants in and around the Hailey, Ketchum, & Sun Valley area. I was told it was because it's a tourist area - but I'm from the DC Metro, I travel a lot, and these prices were higher even than I'm used to! The Sun Valley Brewing Company was a delicious departure from this! They had a nice selection of HUGE salads, reasonable burgers, pizza, and other pubby fare for reasonable (not bargain, mind) prices. I got the Chinese Chicken Salad - with the mandarin oranges on the side. What was interesting, was you could get a large or half salad. But the price diff was only 50¢ but the difference in sizes was significant. Sort of like upgrading of the popcorn at the movies for 50¢. Not to be wasteful and because I'm staying in a hotel, I got the smaller size. It was yummy! My friend Sonja got the chicken alfredo pasta served with garlic toast and it looked yummy! Sitting outside on the patio was lovely! The sun shades helped with the glare and the mountains surrounding the town was a beautiful backdrop! Finding a reasonable place to gnosh in this area is a challenge - the Brewing Company is a terrific tasty joint that won't break your bank!

Had the chicken pot pie. Really awesome!

We were told just take a seat anywhere we'd like. Our waitress came over took our drink order with which she returned promptly and started just chatting with us giving us time to look over the menu. We asked her what some of her favorites were and decided to go with the spinach queso dip for an appetizer. It did not disappoint. Very creamy and served with the perfect portion of chips to scarf it up. Our waitress took into account and times our main course just right as our burgers came out just as we finished the queso. First off the juicy Lucy was super delicious. I gave mine time to cool down just a bit because the cheese is packed inside the burger. My wife and I order the same I had fries with mine and she had the fried cheese curds. This here lemme tell ya was worth the entire trip up there. I think I ate most of her cheese curds. They were so good and delicious but here's the kicker, the standard dipping sauce is ranch but our awesome waitress suggested caramel sauce. My wife and both looked at each other with a perplexed look but decided to go with it. She brought the caramel sauce and reluctantly I tried it. OMG!!! It was like a chewy waffle with buttery maple flavor. It was epic would definitely take a drive up there just for those bad boys.

There is almost always a large crowd gathered out front, which usually tells you everything you need to know--but we finally made a point to stop in for lunch on a beautiful sunny day. The Brews Since it's a public house, the beer list is extensive. I opted for their Pilsner and Lager. Both were exactly what you want on a warm afternoon: light, crisp, and incredibly refreshing. The Food We decided to put their "best in town" claims to the test, and they did not disappoint: * Fish and Chips: They advertise these as some of the best around, and I'm happy to report they aren't exaggerating. The breading was perfectly light--not greasy or heavy--and the fish itself was delicate, flaky, and cooked to perfection. * BLT with Grilled Halloumi: My wife went with this, and the addition of the halloumi was a game-changer. Served on a pretzel bun, it was a unique and delicious twist on a classic. * The Fries: You can't have a pub lunch without good fries. These are those "just right" beer pub fries--crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Easily my favorite style. Verdict The atmosphere was great, the service handled the crowd well, and the food was fantastic. We will definitely be back for lunch on our next trip. If you're in Ketchum, don't just drive by--give it a try.

From the mug club, it seems like this is a local staple. There's trivia on Tuesdays. TVs on the walls. Picnic tables outside, if you're so inclined. Their food was "pub" but the elk burger was handmade and fresh, the pot pie wasn't out of a can thought the veg maybe been frozen not fresh, and some of the store bought stuff like their pretzel seemed better than a defrosted ballpark.
