Well the first time I came here, I had the consultant Marcy. Wow, she was fabulous. Made me feel so special and really listened to what I wanted. I thought I found the dress that day, but said I would have to come back with my mother and she would be in town the following month.
Well last week I was finally able to come back with my mother. I made an appointment online through the special offer that I would receive $50 off my dress. Marcy wasn't working the only day I could come in. Bad mistake. I drove almost two hours to make the appointment. My mother and my 1yr old son walked in and was greeted (if you can call it a greeting) The girls looked through my file of the dresses I Favorited and whispered amongst each other. Made me a little uncomfortable, but oh well. At first I was the only bride in there (i made my appointment for 11am, I ended up arriving at 10:30ish). I told my consultant that after looking at pictures of the dress that I thought was "the one" it was just too heavy not what I wanted for my outdoor wedding. So she gathered up dresses that she wanted me to try, all of which were over $500. After trying on the first few dressed my son started crying. It scared him to see me "disappear" behind the glass doors. I was the only person on that side of the store so I asked to just keep the door opened a little so he could see me. My consultant acted like I was disgusting for wanting that. After about 40 minutes my little one just wasn't having it. So I kindly asked if I could come back at around 2pm, after we have lunch and maybe my son would take a nap. They were slow, so they agreed. When I came back I looked around and found some amazing deals on some beautiful gowns that were exactly what I was looking for. I came during a huge sale, plus I had the additional $50 off for making my appointment online, plus they were offering another $50 off because it was my 2nd appointment. So with all the discounts I could have bought these beautiful dresses for like $100 not including tax. SCORE! Well because my consultant worked off commission, she thought she would deceive me. She brought me all the dresses that were killer deals 2 sizes too small for me, so none of them fit right and she had to use clips; therefore I was really unable to get the full effect of what the dress looked like. I asked her what size the dresses were and she said 16 just like the others. Well I'm not an idiot, I pulled out the tag when she wasn't looking and sure enough, it was a size 12. I looked at the racks my true size was there, she was just trying to get me to purchase the more expensive ones. At that point, I was done. I was so upset that she was being so sneaky. She continued to act like I was just a waste of her time. Pushing me to buy one of the two dresses I ended up really liking. My son became fussy again, and was over it, which was stressing me out. I couldn't think straight because I needed to tend to my little one. I kindly asked if I could think about it and call in an hour or two to purchase the one I decided on. She was so rude and said she wouldn't give me any discounts if I left the store. All I needed was some time to think after I calmed my son down, she she absolutely refused. That was another huge turn off, so I told my mom I wanted to leave. I said this was a sign I'm not suppose to buy my dress from here, they've treated me so badly. I ended up leaving. When I went home I found the EXACT dress I wanted, in my size and brand new on EBAY for $300 cheaper than what I would have paid. A women was selling it that ended up not getting married. Ha! Score for me. I will never go back to this Davids Bridal, EVER. I wish Marcy luck, because she was amazing. But the 2nd consultant I had, Lauren and her supervisor that day was beyond bad. Buying a wedding dress should be an amazing experience and one to remember, this store just can't provide these things.. This wasn't honestly one of the WORST shopping experiences I've ever encountered. Poor, poor, poor service. read more
