I cannot recommend this place more! The people who work here are absolutely amazing incredible individuals. Everyone who I worked with was super sweet from my first appointment to my last appointment. When I first walked in I didn't know what I was looking for and they were able to help me find something that was perfectly me. There are so many different styles and colors it can be overwhelming but their team made the process so painless. After I picked my dress, since it was a short turn around time they made sure that I would be all set for my big day. I really loved my experience at Marcella's- Kait and Marcella were so wonderful to work with and my dress was absolutely stunning. The in-store service was totally 5 stars. Alteration service? 0 stars. I was not impressed with my alterations at all: primarily the bustles but I also felt like the dress was still a little loose in places (Shoulders, chest, etc.) 2 of 3 bustle loops ripped off my dress within half an hour of being bustled; one of which left a pretty substantial hole in the dress (the other is less noticeable). Definitely not something I wanted to deal with at the reception and the sentimental part of me is sad a tangible memory was damaged so drastically because of poor alterations. Again, loved the in-store service but can't recommend Marcella's alterations because of this. read more

On December 29, 2022 my girlfriend and I stopped in to Marcella's without having made an appointment first. We were greeted by Kassi who advised they were appointment based only. My friend and I asked if we could simply look around as we were in town from Montana and that we were planning to leave early next day to return home. Kassi looked at the schedule and was able to fit us in. After trying on several dresses we departed to 'think' about it. Because I thought I had picked the dress I wanted. We returned later that evening, about 15 minutes before closing to give the dress one last try on before paying for it. While we were gone, Kassi continued to look around for additional dresses that I might like. She had me try on a couple more dresses and she was right, the perfect dress was what she had found while we were gone. So not only did Kassi squeeze us in for an appointment earlier in the day, she continued to look for other dresses after we departed AND didn't even comment on how late we had kept her and others after closing. My friends and I stopped by Marcella's bridal in pursuit of 'the dress' while in Spokane. Although we did arrived at the shop without an appointment, the sales staff did not come out from their office for over ten minutes while we and another group were waiting. They claimed the 'ringer' wasn't working, although we could hear it clearly. In the meantime, we could only wait in the 'lobby' as the rest of the store is roped off. The store is pretty inexpensive in comparison to Seattle. The dresses range from 500-1800 dollars, although I never saw a dress close to 1800. They offer a wide variety of dresses and carry a significant amount of 'one of a kind' or clearance dresses. The staff was knowledgeable but seemed unhappy when the idea behind the dress we wanted changed and my friend ended up liking one she had said at the beginning she didn't like. Everything changes when you try it on and after trying on only three dresses, they seemed a bit disinterested. I also believe they discounted us as serious shoppers because of our age and felt they were talking about us. Read: A person in their twenties with a college degree makes more than the average person in Spokane. Also, the final influencing factor in 'our' decision was their no picture policy. They do not allow any pictures to be taken until payment has been exchanged. I agreed that it also seems a bit distrusting of customers, although it isn't the only bridal shop that has that policy. read more

She took the time to get to know me and what I wanted and allowed me to look through the racks with her. I showed her a few photos and she instantly knew my style. The dresses she pulled were perfect. She made me feel so comfortable and really took the time to include my family and my sister who was on FaceTime. Marcella herself was also very involved in my appt. We were brought drinks and snacks and treated like a real VIP! Kassi and Marcella went above and beyond to help me visualize the dress when it comes in my size and preferred color. I felt so comfortable and happy during my appt. I brought my sister in here to try on wedding gowns after an appointment at David's Bridal. We were in town only to shop for a wedding dress. I called on Monday just to see if they had an appt available before we left town. My sister already found a gown she thought she loved at David's Bridal so this was just to keep her options open and to see what else was out there. They had an immediate appointment for her to come right in which was awesome. What a great experience shopping at Marcella's! I am so glad I made that call and got my sister in there. What a great place. The consultant took her time, asked the right questions and took the time to get to know my sister and learn about her wedding before pulling dresses. She was so good that she didn't need to measure my sister in order to pull the right size gowns for her to try on. She made my sister feel so special, beautiful and confident. She knew exactly what type of gowns would look great on her body type and fit with her style and wedding venue. She kept my sisters budget in check and found her a dress under budget that my sister LOVED. It is one of a kind and fit so well that it needs hardly any alterations. This was such a different experience than David's bridal and price wise, she would paid the same for a dress but the gown from Marcella's did not need $300 worth of alterations. The shop has a boutique feel with separate mirrored areas and couches for you and your guests to have a great experience. I can't say enough good things about Marcella's. I am so glad we went there. Seeing my sister cry tears of joy when she found HER DRESS showed me we made the right choice by stopping here. If you're in the Spokane area, looking for a dress, make an appointment at Marcella's. I was encouraged to go to Marcella's by a couple of my bridesmaids after a terrible experience at David's (see that review for explanation). I was wary, as I believed the assumption that boutiques are more expensive and will pressure you to buy. I am definitely a bride on a budget. Unlike at David's, I showed up on time and met with my consultant right away. She sat my girls and me down on a comfy couch while she got all the details from me. Soon, I was in a spacious room putting on beautiful dresses. My consultant was wonderful (I wish I remembered her name!), attentive, and definitely listened to my likes and dislikes. After a while, she brought out an amazing dress, and I couldn't stop smiling as she laced me up. I was so overwhelmed I almost fainted. I never had that awe-inspiring warm fuzzy feeling under the harsh flourescent frenzy at David's. The dress was a one-of-a-kind, the quality was amazing, and it was well within my budget. My Marcella's consultant was supportive without being pushy, and she helped me without making me feel obligated. I am wearing the dress with an heirloom diamond necklace that was my great-grandmother's, so I made an appointment to return the next day with my family and the necklace to make sure the dress was "it." I bought my dress 5 months ago now, and I'm getting ready for my first fitting in a few weeks. I love that Marcella's has held onto it for me. I'm glad I was able to let go of my preconceived notions about boutiques, and now I encourage every newly engaged girl to shop there. read more

I was a bride with a difficult vision to try and explain. I tried on dress after dress, and much to my mother's fear and worry, I picked out a dress I wanted completely altered. I put this dress on, and saw through everything it had potential to be. I had all the jitters, excitement and joy when we purchased it. My wedding was roughly 10 months away at the time, and in that time I had more anxiety over THE DRESS than I ever thought was possible. I sent many e-mails with photos showing what I wanted, describing some and crossing my fingers it would turn out. MARCELLA IS MAGIC! After trying on several beautiful, but just not for me dresses, I showed a picture of a dress I had found online and loved but was too scared to order to the consultant. She showed the picture to Marcella who immediately responded, "I can make that!" I was so nervous to order a dress after only having seen it pinned to me in pieces (and to top it off, the dress she was using as a base for the new dress was 3 sizes too small!) but MARCELLA CAME THROUGH! I can't even begin to express how amazing Marcella is. Her shop is like stepping into a little world where the only thing that matters is you and finding your perfect dress. My sister used Marcella's Bridal for her gown when she got married in 2014, and is still getting told how beautiful it was. I made appointments at other bridal shops when I was trying on dresses to be fair, but scheduled Marcella's last knowing that would be where I would end up at. There's just no comparison, she truly is the best. My gown was an original design by her, and throughout the year between buying it and the wedding, getting to see pieces of my gown come together into one amazing dress was like a dream. I was so impressed with how organized everything was, and the fact that even though I'd go months between fittings, when I showed up it was like our last fitting was a week ago. She had notes on everyone we talked about, remembered everything, and any team member I had worked with remembered me and was just as on top of it as she was. I had the absolute worst experience with Marcella shop. I was a long distance bridesmaid and needed to order over the phone. I gave them the measurements and they would tell me what size dress I needed to buy in that line. I received the dress and it said size 14 on the tag which would have a bust of 40.5'' (mine being 41''); however, the dress actually measured at 35'' physically on the dress. I called them and double checked what measurements they used. They repeated the same numbers I gave them. They basically told me that I had gained weight, despite the fact I took pictures of the bust measuring at 35'' on the dress and sent them pictures to ensure my bust was still 41''. The are SCAMMERS!!! and prey on the fluctuating weight of women. My choices were to buy another dress in a bigger size or pay them a minimum of $80 to alter it. I refused to send the dress back and took it to a wonderful tailor in my area. They pulled the same scam on my now sister-in-law at her last fitting. Telling her that gaining weight is what being in love does to you and scammed her out of over $300 in alterations. She didn't have a choice because it was too close to the wedding. "Luckily" they had fabric for that dress in the store and was able to do the alterations. They are ridiculous and disappointing. read more
