Came in to try on bridesmaid dresses and after scheduling an appointment two days before when we arrived they had no appointment booked for us. After seating us we were told one girl would be helping us who seemed to disappear after telling us she was going to help us. Then we were assigned another girl who zipped up one dress and then later disappeared and started helping another group of girls (when we were there first) we then had to ask for help multiple different times before anyone arrived to assist in clipping dresses. The only woman that actually helped us was a blonde woman who I think was in charge. Wouldn't recommend going here unless you get her to help you (wish I caught her name). After 45 minutes of trying on dresses with every intention of purchasing you'd think they'd provide some decent customer service. read more

My bridesmaids and I went to David's Bridal (on a whim) due to Alfred Angelo ROYALLY screwing up the ordering (1.5 months late), and the sizes (every dress 2 sizes too big). We walked into this location today (luckily an appt went to the wrong location). Tatiana and Kori were AMAZING!!!! We explained the situation and BOTH worked their butts off to make sure we were able to get what each girl wanted (different dresses, different colors, and different lengths....different personalities!!!). Kori was patient w/us and helped us resolve EVERYTHING! We found dresses that fit, and walked out anxiety free and happy smiles all around!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU ladies...you LITERALLY saved the wedding!!!! FYI...it was cheaper to purchase dresses from David's Bridal than it would have been to pay Alfred Angelo for alterations. read more

So this post is specifically for Kori the Assistant Manager at David's Bridal Grossmont. I had to go in there recently because I had a last minute Bridesmaid dress fiasco and she provided me with 5 star customer service. I was completely blown away with how helpful she was and how she made it seem like it was no issue at all. She really saved the day and I would highly recommend this David's Bridal to any looking for a bridesmaid or a wedding dress. They all really care about making sure the customer is happy! Thank you again Kori! read more

oops! i accidentally posted my review on here but it was actually for bridal and veil in mission valley..see other post! sorry..:/

Horrible! Drive to mission valley location instead. My mom made an appointment to try on wedding dresses in advance. 30 min into my moms appointment the consultant started helping another bride, But were never told. We would ask for a different style dress or the price of a dress and the consultant would leave for 15min every time. We finally figured it out. The consultant was double booked and not once did the supervisor on hand do anything about it( yes we brought to her attention). We were waiting as this consultant helped this other bride and my mom at the same time for the 1.5 hrs of my moms appointment . To end our experience , as the bridesmaids were going to purchase their dresses, they rang up higher than the price on the tag. We brought to their attention and the supervisor on hand told us the prices must have changed and the higher price was the "right" price. Keep in my mind we had been in the store at this point for over 3 hrs, had we known earlier we would have left elsewhere . With an attitude the supervisor finally adjusted the price. We got thanked with an eye roll from the supervisor the wrong color dress ordered and a 1.00 charge for a fabric sample on a dress we were going to look elsewhere for as we were told (at the register )they could not order ( per this store). Fyi-mission valley davids bridal was able to correct the dress colors , order this dress la mesa could not and get it in by the wedding date in May. read more

Candis was wonderful, patient, and sweet. I went into my appointment knowing exactly which dresses I wanted to try on and she didn't hesitate to find exactly what I was looking for. After trying on and buying and returning a million dresses I was happy my appointment was with Candis. Wedding dress shopping is stressful as is and with my date quickly approaching I felt at ease ... no pressure when trying on the dresses. She is awesome ... if you are heading over to David's Bridal in La Mesa make sure to book with Candis she will not disappoint!!!! read more

Dulce helped me a lot on deciding my perfect dress, she found the one for me and finally I rang the bell!!!!

I got my beautiful dress at Davids Bridal and got some advice to take it to a tailor for alterations. Unfortunately, the reference I got was bad because the tailor ruined the dress (I mean bad!! torn, unevenly sewn and even burned holes in the tool). I took it back to Davids Bridal to see if they could help me fix it. They were soooo helpful!!! Even though it was the tailors fault they replaces the dress. I would recommend to all brides to go to Davids Bridal!! It is well worth the money to get alterations done here! All the ladies were so great and helped me look my best on my wedding day. Make sure you make room in your budget for alterations and go with David's Bridal it will save you a lot of anxiety and unneeded stress before your wedding because they know what they are doing! read more

If I could give this 0 stars I would! I went in with my mom looking for a wedding dress. There was about 4 employees just hanging out in the front. One rudely asked if I had an appointment I said no I'm just browsing. She asks my mom to sign us in. I go looking for dresses I found 2 to try on. Then 4 ladies in the front just watched me and my mom try to carry these 2 dresses to the front. None of them asked if we needed help or anything. I had to walk up to the counter to ask to try them on. The lady tells me someone will be with me soon. A few minutes later another lady walks up and sets me up in a room. She was not very friendly. I felt rushed and like I was bothering her. There was maybe 1 other customer in the store. I tried both on didn't like them. I told my mom I was done trying stuff on I wanted to leave. I didn't leave because I didn't like the dress I left because of the attitude in that store. I will definitely not be going back to that location. I would rather deal with the traffic to go to the mission valley location then ever come back to this one. read more

I went into David's Bridal at Grossmont Center last night to find a last minute dress for event in 3 days!!! I have put off shopping for months now because I don't really like to shop to begin with and to be honest I felt really bloated. Anyways, I went into the store and Nicole greeted me right away. The store was super busy but she was able to help me find a dress that made me feel good about how I looked in addition to helping everyone else in the store! Once I found the right dress Eleanor immediately started helping me with the alterations. She made the dress even more perfect for me! Eleanor comes with over 40 years of experience and boy does it show. She's so nice, so smart and brilliant at what she does. I can't wait to pick my dress up; I am so excited to see it! THANK YOU Nicole and Eleanor for being good at what you do and for delivering Excellent Customer Service! At the end of the day, you never know how the customer is feeling on the inside. For you to be nice to us really goes a long way! :) read more

Great Dresses, Good Value - My dress was so beautiful, and I was so happy with it! I had a great service woman, and I had so many affordable options. I went somewhere else for alterations, which I now regret. I paid less than DB, but was very unhappy with the outcome, so I'd suggest getting alterations done there too. I bought my shoes from them, along with my bridesmaid's jewelry, my purse, and my slip/bra. Also would recommend the La Mesa location over Camino de la Reina / Mission Center Road (they were a little rude and VERY slow). read more

Mayra is a great manager. After my awful experience earlier this year, Mayra made the best effort just trying to make me and bridal party feel special. She invited us in before opening to tend to us herself to make up for the mistreatment we were subjected to before. My bridal party finally found our original dress and everybody loves it. Thank you Mayra for making our experience so much better. Here's to real customer service. read more

I went in to David's Bridal expecting the worse because I had called ahead to make an appointment but the girl who answered told me she'd call back to confirm the appointment but NEVER DID. I showed up anyways and alas there was no appointment booked. I was kinda sad because it was a 25 minute drive from where I live but I made sure to book an appointment for the following day. I left feeling a little defeated but then I got a surprising phone call from Angie asking me if I could come back because an appointment had cancelled and they could squeeze me in. I was ecstatic. Now, I wasn't really expecting to buy that day but Ayda was so helpful and so patient, I had like 7 printouts of dresses I wanted to try on and she brought them all to me. I ended falling in love with the first dress I tried on and it was on sale too. I purchased my dream vera wang dress, veil, slip, and preservation kit and I didn't pay full price for any of it because of their awesome sale they had going on. There was an issue with the pricing of the dress but they chose to honor the discounted price! The customer service was superb and I was completely and utterly pleased. Angie and Ayda were amazing and I'm still reeling over how gorgeous my dress will be. P.S. I went on Tuesday around 12, by the sheer amount of dressing rooms I can tell they get packed on weekends. Play hookey and book your appointment during the week and in the morning, you'll be glad you did! read more

I wouldn't say anyone was rude but I felt ignored & that customer service was lacking greatly. I brought my friend to help me pick out a bridesmaid dress.i was lucky enough to pick my style as long as it was black & satin. They were very happy to help us when we walked in but then took my name & asked me what I wanted, then said dont take anything off the rack but go again & look around. While we looked 3 people came by to ask if we needed help( this is the 1 star) but didn't help because someone was starting a room for us? When our sales person came I told her I didn't know my size because I haven't bought a dress in a while & I just lost weight she said okay I'll measure you, just pick out 3 dresses. So, I'm picking out dresses guessing a size. I guess a size & I can't find it, she just stands there & never helps look! I find 3 dresses & she stays for the first fitting, we never see her again. We walked out w/ not even 1 of the 5 people saying bye or asking any questions. I did find the dress & I'm going to order online. I know they want to help brides but I'm still spending $200 on a dress, a little help could go a long way. read more

I came from the Imperial Valley to get my dress. I made an appt. at 7pm. We waited for about 20 minutes. We were greeting with a big smile and were encouraged to look around. Then here comes Ayda... She is AMAZING!!!!! She got all the dresses that I put a sticky on (they give you a catalog). She helped me change and was always smiling and laughing with me. Ladies.... You want to have an amazing experience... Ask for Ayda when making your appt. I said YES! To the dress two hours later. She made my dress shopping experience unbelievable! Thanks a million Ayda!!!! read more

Posted how wonderful the La Mesa David's Bridal is before...no comparison to the Mission Valley store (don't let one store sour you.. La Mesa has great people) Wedding this week end and my dress was beautiful... Everyone said the "belt made it".. never would have thought of this without the help of the girl ( and later found out I was her first "bride sale") I hope the company looks at this shop as an example of how the others need to be. Can't say enough about the service, the smiles, and the teamwork...love the alterations lady too--Bustle was PERFECT! read more

I'm getting married in 41 days with no dress and was ready to settle for something that fits and looked decent. After scouring the website with no success, I broke down and made a last minute appointment for the same day with the lowest of expectations. What happened instead was the most moving day... I was met by Maddy and then minutes later Shandra popped over to say hey and see what was going on. The two of them were my dream team. Maddy introduced herself and gave the disclaimer that, "I've had a lot of coffee, so I may be over the top but..." Lol she had me right there! She matched my energy level and by the time my best friend arrived she already had me in what we all thought was 'the' dress. We compared every dress to that one and after about 6 dresses we thought that was the one but she offered to look for a couple more for me. I said why not, then showed her another style I was interested in. She brings back two dresses, one I ruled out immediately and the other she says she thinks is pretty darned close and sounded excited for me to try on. We got it on and when I walked out the BFF and Maddy both gave me the confirmation of what I was feeling when I looked in the mirror. Along came Shandra and a family of 3 that was watching from the sidelines since dress one, everyone shared in my excitement and joy as I shed the tears that I SWORE would not grace my eyes. I shared my journey with her of being a 49 yr old first time bride and what it felt like to finally be blessed to have the life I've always prayed for and our new best sales friend Maddy teared up as well. She and Shandra tag teamed the sale, Maddy made sure everything fit and complimented one another, dress, belt and veil, meanwhile Shandra was on the computer doing everything she could to get my order in as soon as possible, ensuring it was all in stock and would be received weeks in advance. I couldn't have asked for a better day. My BFF and my sales BFF's took care of me and made me feel like my day was beyond worthy of celebration. Thank you David's Bridal. I hope everyone gets the experience of having a Maddy and Shandra in their corner on their special day. Needless to say the appointment ended with lots of hugs and the biggest smile from this lucky bride! Maddy, you're definitely a David's MVP!!! read more

This is one of the two stores that I visited, I brought my wedding party here as well as my mother and grandmother to find their dresses for my wedding. Making a reservation was really easy and the staff there as very kind to me where we showed up to the appointment. The lady there helped pick out a few dresses for everyone and took us to the dressing room. After that the experience was alright, the person who helped us kept leaving and didn't really help much after that. I am not sure if there was another party she was helping but they didn't help us after the initial meeting. The dresser we still amazing and beautiful but the service was just okay. read more

Good luck getting an appointment!! I called 3 times to make an appointment for bridesmaid dresses and wound up hanging up all 3 times after being on hold for WAY too long (about 10 mins of listening to their background music). I talked to at least 3 other bridal salons who were a million times more responsive. read more

After reading some of these horror stories, u can only sit back and sigh in appreciation for my awesome bridal assistant, Steph. She had sooo much patience with me...I am very indecisive. She helped me try on as many gowns as I wanted; I eventually said "yes to the 2nd dress", after trying on about 6 or 7 of them. Steph and Kori stayed late, just to make sure I was COMPLETELY satisfied...This store has a huge selectionb of plus size gowns! That is a plus! This review is over due but I had to tell everyone about the amazing experience I had in December. I was so nervous that I wouldn't find the perfect dress in one day but Cori was absolutely amazing and picked out the perfect dress for me! It was nothing that I had imagined but it was perfect. Every one of the girls that helped me were so sweet and knew what they were doing. I recommend going to David's Bridal in Grossmont for anyone who is looking for a wedding dress. I came to the Grossmont location even though the Mission Valley location was closer. I tried Mission Valley first but there was too much hard selling and it made me uncomfortable. I went in with a specific vision for the style of dress I wanted and thought I would look good in. The associate humored me for a little while but after a few misses, she was honest enough ask me to try on some different styles even if I think they won't work. I let her pick for me and she was right. I ended up with a much different dress than I thought I wanted and it looked way better than my idea. And of course, you can't beat the price here. I got a spectacular dress for under $1K. The only thing I didn't like was that the associates tend to be over-booked. In the middle of my appointment, she often had to leave to help another bride which left me just sitting there in a poofy dress making small talk with other customers while I waited. The usually only book you for an hour and a lot of that hour, I spent standing around. In the end though, I ended up with a beautiful dress. And thanks to their seamstresses, it fit like a glove and was ready to go by a month before the big day. The also offered a generous discount so that my groom could get his suit for a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend David's Bridal - Grossmont. read more

Since the day I went to try on dresses, David's Bridal was by far the best for selection, sizes and customer service! The alterations dept was absolutly fantastic! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! read more

I am not sure why people have been posting such terrible reviews about this location but I couldn't DISAGREE with them more. The staff here has been nothing short of AMAZING every single time I have been in over the past month. I went in on June 13 to pick out my wedding dress. I had previously made an appointment and I was running late that day and needed to push it back. It wasn't a problem. My appointment was moved to the time that I requested and my consultant, Tatiana, was ready for my party shortly after. She devoted ALL of her attention to us and was incredibly helpful throughout the process. Within 5 dresses, I had my wedding dress! It was exactly what I wanted, fit perfectly, and every single person who saw it saw "OH MY GOSH" when I walked out. I have Tatiana to thank for helping me that day. She was so knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. I really appreciated that. I finally got my dress 3 days ago (it had to be ordered). When I put it on, it was too tight! I swear the dress was at least 1 size smaller than what I ordered. I put it on and was so sad that it didn't fit like I had remembered it. But, I had just eaten and I thought maybe that was why. I took the dress home and after awhile, realized that my new found back fat couldn't have been from over-eating that day (as fat doesn't just happen on one's back). So I called Davids Bridal back. They immediately offered to have me come back in and try the dress on so that they could see the problem. I went in the next day and tried the dress on for them. The consultant (I wish I could remember her name - blonde haired lady with blue eyes and soft demeanor) could immediately see that the dress that I ordered was too tight. She then went to the floor and grabbed the dress that I had originally tried on. As we expected, it fit perfectly. Obviously there was a problem. David's Bridal does not accept returns so we thought about the next options. They ended up ordering me a BRAND NEW DRESS AND PUT THE FLOOR MODEL ON "HOLD" for me so that no one else will wear it. If the brand new one fits, I get to keep that one. If it doesn't I get to take the floor model home because it fit so nicely. They are even repairing the "damaged" parts of the floor model (which is just the zipper and a little dirt on the bottom) free of charge and making it perfect for when I possibly pick it up. Seriously, these people have been nothing short of amazing and I am SO HAPPY that I went here to find my wedding dress. I almost want to have a second wedding just so I can go to them again. Amazing Amazing AMAZING customer service. Thank you for caring staff at David's Bridal! You have truly made a possibly crappy situation incredibly positive! read more

Went to the grossmont ctr store to just check out dresses and make an appt for the next day...while looking I came across a couple dresses I liked and asked if I could try them on real quick just to get an idea...(I did not have anyone help me pick them out)...I tried on both and knew I was not ready for this cuz of weight gain and cancelled my appt...my first thought was get your butt moving...I left sad not because of anything at the shop just because I didn't like how I looked in the dresses I picked out...2 weeks later my fiance and I were next door at men's warehouse and as we walked by, I said I want to go in and just take a couple pics of dresses...as I went in I asked about a couple different styles and they said they would get someone to help me and here came the ray of sunshine AYDA together we picked out about 5 dresses, went in and tried on all of them, and every dress I liked!! Came to the 3rd dress and I fell in Love!! AYDA was so helpful and really knew what type of dress would look good on me...I went back about a month later and retried it on and still Love it!! Each time I have been in AYDA comes to save the day!! So cheerful and positive and always smiling...Be sure to go in and meet her, book an appt with her!! You will not be disappointed!! Candis was the biggest reason my experience was so wonderful! I was nervous about getting my wedding dress. My dream dress was only available online, so I made the appointment in hopes of finding out enough information to place that order, or getting a "compromise" dress. I purchased my wedding gown in 2011 paid for alteration. I also purchased my shoes that I never used and still in the box also purchased other items including my daughters dress. When I came to picked up my gown I was told that it was donated. They said they attempted to contact me over an email. Really over an email. They could have attempted to contact me over a phone call or even send me a letter to my address since they had my phone number and my home address. I never received a call or nor was a letter send to my home. They said the had donated my dress. I attempted to talk to a manager and was told that one was not available and that they couldn't do anything for me. They treated me like crap and they did nothing to try to assist me in anything. Of course not. It was a gain to to them after I paid 1,000 for my dress that was donated. I really don't think it was donated it was my lost but their gain. walked out of that place feeling hopeless and was sobbing and they acted like nothing they did was wrong. I will never step a foot in that place ever again nor would I ever tell any of my family members or friends to purchase anything from Davids bridal. This place is a rip off. They will treat you nicely if you purchase but once you do they treat you like if you don't matter. Not worth coming in this place specially after purchasing 2 dresses that were never used and shoes that have never been worn. I'm so disappointed in this place. read more
