She verified when my wedding was given it was only a few months away and before anything, confirmed that we were still in the timeframe of receiving it in time since they were made to order. When you're making a big purchase decision--especially since the dresses are final sale--it's refreshing and reassuring to see a business that encourages you not to rush. It felt honest and thoughtful, not like they were just trying to make a quick sale. The only downside was the fitting room lighting. It isn't very flattering and doesn't show well on camera, which makes it hard if you're FaceTiming family or friends for a second opinion. I'd recommend stepping toward the front of the store near the window for better lighting. As a suggestion to the store, improving the fitting room lighting would make a huge difference and would also allow customers to feel more comfortable without having to walk to the front of the shop or be visible from outside. In the past year, I've visited bridal boutiques like Luv Bridal, Luv Era, Proposal Bridal, and Bellas Posa. In comparison of the boutiques and stylists, I learned good business versus sales business. Many other boutiques have made my bridal journey magical by guiding my direction in finding the "the one" and even sat me down advising if I had hesitations on the dress, look in other places that fit my budget and vision. Now, I realized how poor or lack of attention I was given. Jana Ann Couture didn't personalize my appointment like other boutiques such as a name plaque or complimentary drinks. Worst part, the scam tactics my stylist used to force me to say "Yes to the dress." For example, pretending to call a designer on the phone saying she'll send pictures of me with the dress and sleeves together because "it's a new pairing we put together." She even added, "We can have this dress named after you." She gave discounts and payments plans while I said "not sure yet" in multiple phrases. I felt rushed and pressured, because she added that this dress would not be remade or redesigned because it was brand new and exclusive? Then said, "I can knock off xxx since it'll be off the rack." After a couple weeks after making the deposit, I asked to refund the dress or cancel the payment, and she replied, "Reselling on Still White is a great option." After 8 months, I have resold the dress for it will not fit my wedding theme. P.S. The dressing rooms were horrid. Many other boutiques have bigger rooms and other stylists are professionally trained on how to put on a gown properly. I did not experience the same care and attention at Jana Ann Couture.
