Very professional from start to finish. I thank Friar Tux for taking in our last minute requests for tux rentals. It was difficult to coordinate getting the sizes of all my groomsmen because they live all over the world. However, with some email communication between Cody and I, we were able to get the suits mailed to them. I don't know what kind of sizing tools they use and how they are able to pretty much nail the sizes down for all of us almost on the first try! I especially loved how the pants we rented were stretchy which gives us all some wiggle room, especially if we were to get down on the dance floor or eat too much cake. I really appreciate the timely replies from Cody. Returning the suits were a breeze. I couldn't do it in person but one of my friends dropped it off for me...that was that! Very easy and simple and I received an email confirmation. Suits were comfy, rental process was pretty simple and straightforward, and I love that they send you the suit to try on beforehand. Just make sure that you try it on immediately and communicate if something doesn't fit or needs replacement. This makes it much easier for them to get you a better fitting replacement quicker, which is what happened to me with my suit and pants. Lastly, I would say the price was quite affordable for a suit rental. For 5 suits, $600. Gotta say, to look unique for the wedding, not need to worry about dry cleaning afterwards, and have a comfy good looking suit the entire wedding day for that price, it's pretty darn good! read more

"Zero accountability and misleading sizing." If you have wide feet, BEWARE. I ordered a size 10.5 Wide online for a friend's wedding. What arrived was a standard narrow shoe. When I reached out to customer support expecting a quick fix, they admitted they don't actually carry this shoe in a wide width. Why is it an active selection on their website? They couldn't give me a straight answer. Their "helpful" resolution was to suggest I return the unworn shoes less than 24 hours before the event. That left me with two choices: stand in the wedding with agonizing foot pain, or ruin the groom's wedding photos by wearing unmatching shoes. I reached out nicely to ask for a reasonable accommodation, but customer support made it clear that keeping my $54 was more important than basic honesty or customer satisfaction. Fortunately, the shoes are so cheap they probably won't survive much past the rainy wedding day anyway. Avoid ordering online from this company. read more

I have been to Friar Tux several times before when I was a groomsman to my friend's weddings. This time I went to them for my own wedding. They have a sweet deal where if at least 5 of my groomsmen in my party rent through them, then one of the rentals will be free in which I ended up applying towards my tuxedo rental. We came in as a group for the initial fitting and I took them for a couple rounds of drinks on me at a nearby brewery afterwards and called it a deal. My tuxedo was ready for pick up on a Monday for my wedding day that Saturday which is a perfect amount of time for last minute adjustments. My Brother who lives in Orange County went to their OC location for the initial fitting and pickup and their system was all synced up with the San Diego location without an issue. Only tip I would say is if you're the groom, be sure to stop by in person ahead of time to setup your wedding party and to get in their system, and then schedule the fitting at least 2 months prior to the event date. I must've asked so many silly questions but she was so patient and friendly through out the whole shopping experience. Friar Tux has an amazing Suit selection at an amazing price. The staff when not busy will attend to your needs and match you up with the proper fitting. However the only disappointment with Friar Tux is that they do not the hemming properly. I purchased a suit with them and have only used it twice. The stitching on both of my sleeves came undone ; upon further inspection I realized that they do not hem the suit properly they only anchor the stitching from two sides instead of all around the sleeve. I needed a tux for a black tie event with like a 7 day notice. I started looking on the black tux but was going to have to "rush deliver" my rental and get charged an extra $50 for that. I've had horrible experiences at mens warehouse (both at the one in SD and orange county) so decided to try friar tux. I walked in and was greeted by Guy immediately. He was super helpful and treated me like a human being (don't get that at mens warehouse lol). Got measured and out of there in less than 15 minutes and it only ran me like $200 which I was quite pleased with. They emailed me 3 days later and the tux was ready. Fit perfectly and the ladies were complimenting me all night. 10/10 experience and will definitely be coming back here for all my tux rentals. I would strongly recommend purchasing your tuxedo from a physical store rather than an online retailer like Friar. Tuxedo sizing can be tricky, and if the fit isn't right, the exchange process can be both time-consuming and expensive. In my experience, returns required multiple shipments, and by the second exchange I was charged $10 for shipping each way. Being able to try on and adjust sizing in person can save you money, time, and unnecessary stress. read more

We had an appointment so didn't need to wait, but the check in process was easy. Phillip was extremely helpful as we were browsing and trying on suits, offering suggestions for both my suit and my groomsman. Outstanding service from Cole. We were quickly greeted and instructed to check in via QR. My son walked around while we waited. It's his senior year so he wanted to try something different. It was between a burgundy suit or a velvet suit. Cole asked what my son was looking for and gave his 2 cents. He continually assured my son he wanted his best interest. Cole took my sons measurements. As he was helping my son he did great greeting and assisting other customers. We felt well taken care of. My son decided on the whole package jacket, pants, vest, cuff links, bow tie, and handkerchief. Limited private parking. There are several Other businesses in the area, parking can get tuff.
