When we first learned our daughter wanted to have a quinceanera, we knew we had to start on Third Ave in Chula Vista. It is close to our home and we love the new editions that they have brought to the neighborhood. I have known about this dress shop cause when I was a young girl, I once shopped there with my mother. It was like going down memory lane as we viewed dress shops nearby. Once we walked into Cynderella, we were greeted by a nice young man who knew exactly what we were looking for! Not only were we seen immediately, we were able to book an appt to begin her next chapter. Our daughter found a dress she liked but, knew it would be great in the color she was imagining herself in. When she arrived for her appointment, she tried on maybe 3 dresses. The one she had been looking at was the next dress. As she tried it on, we were reassured that she can get the dress in the color she wanted and she would be the decision maker in all changes to the dress. This made her so happy cause she is preparing to become a fashion designer for college! We said yes to the dress, placed our order and when the dress arrived for final fitting, it was nothing less than PERFECT! We came into the store 5 months (May) before our given pickup date (October 15) and our event date is in November. We had an appointment here at 11 am on a sunday and the store wasn't open until 12. The staff members told us that our order was delayed and the alterations for dresses are a week before the event. We were telling the staff we are not doing alterations here and it was not communicated if our dresses were getting delayed or alterations a week before the eve. The staff members are extremely rude and take the longest time ever to help you (one member named Maddie). We will not be coming back to this store for this poor quality customer service. read more

Searching for the perfect quince dress is probably the most important task in planning a quince. We had been to a few others shops prior to this one. My daughter had already fallen in love with multiple dresses at every shop. This one though, this one had the dress of her dreams. They accommodated us last minute with an appointment. Everyone was always very professional and organized. They even custom made a dress for my her teddy bear to match her dress. I tried to call this dress shop several times to make an appointment for my niece to try on a quince dress and they didn't answer the phone. I should have figured this was a bad sign. I was in the area and went in person to make the appointment. I mentioned this to the person helping me to make the appointment, and he didn't even acknowledge my comment. He then scheduled the appointment for me. Two days before our scheduled appointment, we received a phone call notifying us that they couldn't accommodate our appointment because they would be attending an expo. Horrible customer service. Debated about posting a review but decided I'd share in hopes they can maybe learn from this. I scheduled an appointment to try on quince dresses. I arrive at my appointment and I wait close to 15min without being acknowledged. The upsetting part was the man standing behind the counter is the one who booked my appt. That was the first bad vibe. Second was the man I'm assuming to be the owner seemed to have not wanted anything to do with us. He was snappy at the younger girl working there, it was very uncomfortable and unprofessional as you could see the tension and we seemed to just have been there. The girl was very sweet and nice I just say. The one dress was beautiful I will say that. I had cash in hand to purchase whatever dress my daughter may have chose. The young lady must have picked up on my unsatisfied vibe and offer to give a deal. She said she would try to lower the price. The deal she mentioned was the tiara, free rental of petty coat, hair service. She first needed approval for the man at the counter and waited for him to give me a deal. There was no deal! The dress price was not lowered and she has mentioned she would do AND the man said no the Tiara was not included and tried cleaning it up as "we have a special every month so they change" you could see it was made up. I guess the point of this to be careful how you treat potential customers. I'll spend the same or maybe more somewhere else that shows respect and read more

Worst experience ever. Delivery was late. Customer service is nonexistent. Paid extra for them to add appliqués to my dress and they were literally falling off and also they covered half the back of the dress. Literally couldn't even them out. It looked like a joke. I had to redo everything myself. They cut length but it looked rushed and crooked. I had to do it again and wear shorter heels since they don't know what their are doing. Save yourself time. One day before my wedding they told me my tuxedo modifications would not be ready, that they are sorry and offered a refund, it send me in a mad tuxedo hunt and found a store 3 doors down "Angelos", who turns out they can have them ready withing 2 hours since theres is someone onsite ready to do modifications, i told myself this sounds expensive but i am desperate, to my surprise their price was 35% lower than Cynderellas, the only reason I came to Cynderrella was because about 5 years back they did good for my quinceañera, but something has changed, 2 week wait, $150 tuxedos, only not to have them ready ontime .... compare that with a 2 hr wait, $100 tuxedos that you can walk out with on the spot is no contest. For Tuxedos dont waste your time here, they send any modifications to a factory which causes insane delays. Angelos saved our ass or my wedding would have been a disaster read more

Her dress was so adorable and affordable. So, I decided to get my daughters dress here for her 18th birthday. Osma was fabulous. He made adjustments to the dress as we needed it. I highly recommend this boutique for your next Quinceanera, Wedding, or Prom. They are mostly spanish speaking and this has been a problem for me in the past (I don't speak a word of spanish... and had previously been ignored, blown off and felt... not really welcome.) This week I was shopping for a prom dress and decided to walk through and see what they had to offer. (I love looking at their very pretty Quinceanera dresses!) After being asked by my niece to sponsor her with her Quinceñera dress, I decided to stop by a few shops down the popular 3rd avenue blocks of Chula Vista. Hands down, Cynderella Brides over exceeded our expectations. Not only did the young lady at the store be VERY helpful with my nieces ideas but she was very accomodating by bringing out a few dresses similar to what she had in mind. She brought out a great selection from which we chose one from. They custom modified a few tweaks on the fit AND the design to better fit her wishes. We were already satisfied. Before leaving, Osmar in the front mentioned to me they offer Mens Tux as well. Of course i gave it a shot and tried a fitting. SOLD! I walked out with not only a Quinceñera gown for my niece but a custom FITTED tux for myself that had me looking sharp. Four stars for the customer service and woman who had helped my mother and I. We had came in a couple months ago (this review is long past due) to browse the wedding gowns. This place is located off a main street and near a freeway, so that is a plus. In my opinion, I think this is more a place for quinceñiera/sweet 16 and prom dresses. Not so much for bridal and bridesmaids. They had a small selection of bridesmaids gowns I was shown. Nothing tasteful and nothing of too good quality.l, unfortunately. Everything (and I mean almost everything) else you can look at are in CATALOGS. They have a table for you to sit down at and browse through their many different catalogs, whether it be bridal wear or prom gowns. Here's the problem for me.... I am looking for bridal gowns. My wedding dress is going to be very special to me, I want to choose this dress carefully. Right? Well if it's in a catalog and you have to order it from the catalog without ever trying it on first, you may possibly be in for a huge surprise. I, for one, would rather not take my chances at that. That is the only reason I give a 4 star rating instead of a 5. Everything else was great, especially their customer service. I just don't like the fact that the dresses are almost all only in the catalog. David's bridal has pretty much anything right then and there and you can try it on. I understand that it may be a larger company but geez, it wouldn't hurt to have a sample. We wanna know what we're buying for our special day, right ladies? All in all, if you're comfortable ordering from a catalog then stop by. If not, don't bother. read more

I was shopping around for a veil for my wedding gown and had been visiting several shops in the South Bay in the hopes that I would find something both lovely and affordable. I found that the shop nearest to me was actually the one I should have started out with. I walked into Cynderella one day and was greated by Kim and one other gal (I wish I would have gotten her name). The selection of veils was small, but I was assured that they could order one to my liking and that it would be of good quality. Quality was my primary concern, as I did not want a cheap veil that was very rough and poofy that would be hard to flatten. My first choice was not available from the supplier, so I was ordered one that was similar and told that they would add pearls to it so that it would more closely match the one I had wanted initially. When it came in (and before they had made the requested changes), I went into the shop with a photo of my sash and asked them to match it as closely as they could. I was then called to pick it up when it was ready the following week, and when I went in, I was extremely happy with the job they did on it. Kim even steamed the veil for me while I was there and put it in a box for safe transportation. Cynderella is a small shop, the selection isn't huge, and there won't always be someone in there who speaks English. But for my purposes, they worked out just fine. I got a veil that worked very nicely with my wedding gown, and they even went the extra mile to add pearls to it and steam it at no extra charge. In my book, that's great service. read more

Let me tell my expirence with Cinderella brides! I took my granddaughter for measurements to have a dress ordered for an event. When we got there, the doors were closed. Called the number no answer. Waited half hour no body shows up to open the door. We had to leave due to another commitment. She finally sent the measurements in to have the dress ordered. When it was time to have the dress fitted, nobody in the store spoke English!! My granddaughter speaks a little Spanish and we got that taken care of. I paid the full amount and the dress needed to be altered in length which it was included in the price which was nice. When it was time to pick up dress, her dad went to pick it up and they had no record the dress was paid. After a few calls, they got that straightened up. When she went to try the dress, she found a 3 inch cut that they tried sewing back. What a nightmare! read more
