Came here to try on wedding gowns for the first time.. Camila was there from start to finish. She helped me pick out my dream dress. She was so patient when we decided to look somewhere else and come back the next morning. We got there a little earlier than our appointment time and she came in to work early specifically to help me. I ended up choosing the very FIRST dress I tried on. Prices are great and the dresses are stunning! read more

Wrinkled like crazy! I picked up my dress yesterday from this location. After trying it on I was shocked by how many indents and thick wrinkles were in the dress. I brought this to the attention of the sales associate who agreed it was extremely wrinkled. She then brought out the manager who informed me that the dress was wrinkled because their dresses come in bags. She then told me I would need pay an additional 16 dollars to have the dress steamed. This was a $130 dress. The quality and customer service of this place is poor. I could have gone to ross and recieved better service and probley the same dress which is saying something... dont go here. I now will be waiting another two days for a service that should come free of charge. read more

I showed up for my bridal appointment and they took us in right on time. Having not really a plan or direction of style for the gown I wanted, Candis, my consultant, asked me a few questions, took my measurements and we got stared. After trying on a few gowns, she was able to take the positive and negatives from my comments about the gowns and come up with not one, but two dresses that I couldn't live without. She was kind, courteous, and had a great sense of humor. She made me comfortable despite the fact I am struggling to lose pregnancy weight. I felt beautiful and confident in my choices. read more

The alterations team is amazing! Especially Larissa and Ursula!! I bought my dress on the David's Bridal website. I am really curvy and have a big bust. My dress fit like a glove everywhere but the chest area. I panicked when I went for my dress fitting and the top didnt zip! Ursula and Larissa worked really hard to ensure that my dress looked and fit perfectly! I went in today and they made sure that everything looked and fit appropriately. They really care about their brides and you can tell they truly love what they do. To be honest, the price for alterations was incredibly fair, especially because they do such a fantastic job. Trust me, these girls know what they are doing and will have you looking like a queen the day of your wedding! I highly recommend this David's Bridal alteration team!!!! read more

My daughters and I picked up their dresses from David's Bridal in Grossmont and were helped by Xena. Everyone in the store was super nice and friendly and Xena was awesome in finding the perfect shoes for my two girls to match their dresses. I was honestly dreading the search to find shoes to match my girls' dresses but Xena quickly found the perfect shoes for each girl that not only matched their individual styles but also their dresses. Our experience tonight was wonderful. I would recommend David's Bridals in a heartbeat. read more

Mackenzie is Gods gift to wedding planning like seriously I went in today all flustered and stressed but she helped answer all of my questions and address all of my concerns. Every other staff member was super nice too. Thanks so much for a great experience!! read more

I had an issue with my dress I got from another David's Bridal and called this Alterations department to see if they could help. Urzula squeezed me in right away for the next day. I arrived a little early and they were still prepared to see me! She touched up some spots I hadn't noticed on my dress, offered a fix for my problem, and even will have it ready in a couple of weeks. I was so grateful for her help. She was very knowledgeable and sweet. Definitely would recommend! read more

Ursula is the best!!!! She understood what I wanted in the alterations of my dress, and made it more amazing than it already was! She made me fall in love with my Wedding dress all over again! I had an appointment on 12/11/20. I was NOT expecting to find my dress as this was the first salon I'd be going to. I had no idea what style I wanted. With the amazing help of Melanie and Ashley O. I found my dress that night! They helped me find what I was looking for, asked all the right questions, didn't rush me and really felt like they were my friends going through the process with me. Highly suggest asking for Melanie as a stylist! Ashley O is the Operations Manager but has been super helpful as well with any questions I have. It's a really special moment when you find "the one" and they make you feel like a beautiful bride. It was a great trip and experience. read more

I'm very thankful for the staff at David's Bridal, especially Emma who helped me pick out *THE ONE*! I appreciated that Emma listened to what I envisioned, remained patient, and was positive throughout the whole experience. David's Bridal had a great system going as far as implementing safe protocol for COVID-19. The staff wore masks and gloves the whole time, had packaged waters for our party, and kept other appointments socially distanced. They made me feel right at home and executed great customer service. read more

Wham bam thank you maam! I took my future daughter in law to her appointment with David's Bridal June 29th. When we initially went in we were prompted to go to the right front corner of the store to look at some dresses as her consultant was double booked. We barely looked at 3 when her consultant came over to talk to my future daughter in law. She greeted her just fine but than glanced over at me up and down and did not greet me at all. So I introduced myself to which she continued to talking to my future daughter in law. She ask asked her what type of dress she was looking for and then took off. She showed up with 3 dresses for her to try on and then left us. The dressing rooms were the size of a bathroom. The consultant did not come back to see how we were doing or to offer help with clipping the back of the one dress she tried on. There was a really nice lady there that came to her rescue offering additional dresses and clips to help see what the dress should look like on her. Towards the end of our experience the original consultant showed back up to ask if my future daughter in law had found the dress. She said yes. The consultant missed quoted the price of the dress initially and then came back with another price. We agreed to go ahead and pay for the dress. But the whole experience we were both looking forward to on this say yes moment went right out the door. I can only hope that no one else who is of a large build experiences this behavior. Thank you for all of your time and assistance reading this review. read more

Maddy was great! She was very fun and made my time amazing. 10/10 she made me very comfortable and I was laughing and having fun the whole time! She was very accommodating to me and my party and was very good at pleasing everyone. She put a lot effort in making sure the dress fit so we could see the dresses on even if it meant a little bit of trying to shimmy my butt into dresses! I definitely would recommend Maddy if someone wanted a fun, loving and amazing stylist! read more

Came in today without any expectations. I was amazed by the outstanding customer service. Noelle was amazing. I ended up picking a dress that I never thought I would fall in love with. Noelle was patient and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I never felt pressured into making a decision. Noelle made the appointment about me and my needs. She listened. She supported me. She made me feel comfortable. She complemented my gown with different accessories and completed the look. I am beyond grateful. Noelle and other members of the team helped me and made me feel like a bride. I would highly recommend going to her! Specially if you are a first time bride that's not quite sure on what style works best for you. She will let you try on as many dresses as you want and be fully honest with you. Noelle definitely made this an amazing experience!!! read more

Firstly, I'd like to say that if I was reviewing just Amber, my amazing consultant, this would be five stars, hands down. She was fun, friendly, and someone who was genuinely invested in getting you the dress that fits your style and budget. I had two appointments, a week apart, and she remembered little details of the wedding that I had mentioned, which was really nice to have. She brought up other option davids bridal has, like invites, shoes, jewelry, and such, but when I declined them she didn't get pushy with me, which I really appreciated. I can't say enough good things about her. However. While my first appointment was great, when I returned to my second to try on a couple more and take another look at my favorite from the first (which I ended up getting :D) I arrived a few minutes early to find that the front desk had just assigned a walk in to Amber, so even though I had an appointment, I had to share my time with someone whose wedding was still a year and a half out and was just idling looking at dresses... which sort of defeats the purpose of making an appointment. Considering we were the only two in the shop at the time, and there were at least 3 other consultants standing around, that was a little frustrating. Amber had to work double time, swapping between us, when another consultant should have helped the walk in. Luckily I had lots of free time, so I wasn't in a rush, but if that'd been my first appointment experience I might not have come back. Additionally, another consultant did walk over and without introducing herself, shuffled me into the closet to help me put on a dress... I was fine waiting for Amber since I'd already worked with her, and the girl that tried to help me was a bit pushy, and as soon as I had he dress on I never saw her again. Makes me wonder if commissions get split--I know other people that purposefully help clients that they aren't working with to get a portion of the commission from sales, which is definitely what it felt like. She was short with curly hair, if interested in who it was. She should never have tried to help someone else's (returning!) client, and should have been assigned to the walk in from the get go. Basically, the front desk needs to be more proactive in assigning walk ins, as they knew who I was working with without me saying anything, so obviously they knew Amber had an appointment and still assigned a walk in to her, which is just crummy. Amber herself, however, is brilliant, and gave me a real 10/10 experience, even with the weird mix up of people. read more

Wrote a review of my dissatisfaction with this David's Bridal. Of how the alterations department made my dress unwearable. Long story short, they ordered me a dress a few sizes up because the alterations department "is like magic and will make the dress fit like a glove." Trusting this, I ordered the dress. After five alteration appointments, the dress still did not fit my small frame. If I were to stand up straight, the view would be inappropriate. I had to buy another wedding dress, and, of course, I cannot return the original dress. I feel like I was tricked into just buying a dress so I'd fork up money, even though it was known (not by me) that this dress would never fit. I would encourage people to not get something as important as a wedding dress here, unless it fits you from day one. And, don't expect good customer service, as this was one of the biggest headaches to deal with during planning, one that could have been avoided. read more

I really enjoyed my experience at David's Bridal. Chelsea greeted me and showed me around the store. She took note of a few dresses that appealed to my eye and then took my measurements. She then returned to my room with three dresses. She had a number system that helped me narrow my choices. Inventory was stellar! So many beautiful gowns. I finally made my decision with the help of the loveliest seamstress, Ursula! I can't wait until I go back for alterations. I definitely would recommend David's bridal as a starting point because they have so much to offer and a seamless step by step process to finding a dress. Thank you again Chelsea and Ursula !!! read more

I will never step foot into a David's bridal again because of the experience I received from La Mesa David's Bridal. My friend's wedding is scheduled for Aug. 15th and she sent me a text of the dress. So, I decided to call La Mesa DB and see if I can make an appointment to try it on. When I called I spoke to one of the managers of the store (very unique name and don't remember) she said that the dress needs to have an approval code and that I should come in the store within 2 days. I told her I was going to come in around 3pm the following day. In which she was not there when I came in. The day I come in, Tatiana helped me. She was nice at first, but then after a while seemed a little annoyed. I tried on the dress and it was a little too tight. Then she came out with a DIFFERENT dress and said that it was the same material and they didn't have the same size in the dress that I was supposed to wear. I didn't question her motive because she works there and apparently knows what she is doing. So after I tried on the dress, she said she had to call the corp store and get an authorization code. While waiting for about 20 mins, I told her that I was going to head over to Trader Joes and do a little bit of grocery shopping hoping that she would be done by the time I came back. I came back, the dress was ordered and paid for. Fast forward to 3 weeks later- I came in and was helped by a nice young lady. She asked if I wanted to try on the dress and I said yes. The minute I tried on the dress it was a little on the tight side but still manageable. It was a little difficult to breathe. I told the lady what had happened when I tried on the dress and was given a whole entire DIFFERENT dress to try and Tatiana relied on the size that that dress fit me. So therefore, the outcome of the dress I was supposed to wear was a little tight. The manager LaDonna came around checked it out and said she was going to see if they can order a size up from the dress that I bought. Apparently the dress is SOLD OUT and if I were to order it, it would not come in time for the wedding. They also told me that the dress did not have enough material for it to be taken out, so they brought out the seamstress to check out the dress. She told me that it fit just right and didn't really need to be taken out. She had me sit in a chair to make sure I was still able to breathe. The final thing is that they told me not to gain any weight and juice for the next month. WTH?!?! Are you serious! The WORST customer service ever! I will def. NOT get my wedding dress nor my braidsmaid to buy from David's bridal. Please support the local dress shops in the San Diego area! read more

This place is a joke. I had the worst experience ever. I was basically ignored. I had an appointment today at 6pm (Tuesday 3/29/11), we arrived 15 minutes early. The front desk/sale associate lady greeted us and took my information and then left us waiting because she had to help another associate. She didn't communicate anything to us what so ever. I'm a really patient person, so I just waited. After 15 minutes of waiting we browse the store to see their collections. After another 15 minute of waiting one of the associate told us a consultant will be with us shortly. We waited another 20 minutes (I was still patient because I wanted to try on some dresses today) and still no help. We were getting hungry. We decided to just leave because we feel they didn't want our business. The second associate thought we were walk-ins when I originally told the first lady that I had an appointment at 6pm. (I never saw the first lady after she left to help the other associate). Appointments are meaningless. The employees don't communicate anything to each other and their system is whack! If you have time to waste go there. They didn't seem that busy today. They had 2 brides trying on dresses and people coming in and out picking up dresses and accessories. They do not carry the Vera Wang collection, only the Mission Valley location. I'm debating if I should make an appointment at the Mission Valley location. I don't have another hour to waste and be ignored. I wish I remember the associates name so I can put her on blast. She's rude and wasted my time. Good luck for those that decide to go there. read more

Wow what a wonderful Bridal Store!!! I came into David's Bridal today with no expectations on finding a dress that I would choose on my first day of my fitting. When me and my whole family came in we were greeted by the worker at the door. I had an appointment to try on wedding dresses and it went so smoothly. My stylist was Marina(I recommend her) She was absolutely wonderful..(Shout out to you Marina). She knew exactly what I wanted and how I would like the dress to fit. She picked out the dresses that were saved to my favorites on their online website and found a couple of dresses that she wanted me to try on. She was so helpful with the process from getting my bra corset to my undergarment. I didn't have to do anything I just stood there lifted my arms up as she dressed me with the dress that were picked. The first dressed I did not like. The second was okay. The Third dress, well lets just say this was a 10! The fourth dress was a no go. She helped me put on #3 dress again and my whole family, my aunts, my cousins and I fell in love with the dress. This was the one!!! It was so wonderful I even cried. It brought me so much happiness and tears of joy. Marina was great and all the other ladies were awesome as well. The manager La Donna was super nice and made her store have great service. Im going back to take care of the payments for my dress and I am so excited to see all the ladies again at David's Bridal. If you need a store to pick out dresses and accessories for your wedding, then go to the La Mesa David's Bridal. It was sooooooooooooooo worth it!!:) read more

Went to this location on two different occasions and unfortunately because I was looking for simple and I'm a size 14-16 street size my selection was slim to none and what there was available was very poor quality. I wasn't expecting Chantilly lace, but I don't expect junk for those prices. I did end up leaving not buying anything. The staff didn't seem very well trained on how to help a "plus size" and again I'm a 14-16, I can't imagine what true plus size girls go through. I also did try and help myself online, figuring they'd have more sizing options. To my delight they did, I ordered two different dresses and about a week later they arrived. Immediately disappointed, very poor quality material, sizing was way off. One dress was pictured with a lace over lay didn't actually come that way, I had to order separate. So I paid $350 for a spaghetti strap plain dress. I returned them both, followed the return process per the online instructions, sent them in one box because I had to pay for return shipping even though I bought it with "free shipping" I usually read the fine print, but i'm sure being very busy with planning, I missed it. That was 15 days ago, they received the package, still no refund, after calling customer service and getting the run around, and emailing their online customer service 72 hours ago with still no reply, I am yelping. Sorry to the store in Grossmont, but their isn't a David's Bridal Corporate Yelp that I can find. Just a warning to go in with both eyes open and read EVERY detail. read more

Like some of the other reviewers, I too was skeptical about going to David's Bridal after visiting the Mission Valley location but I am SOOOO HAPPY that I did! The ladies there took such good care of me. Ayda helped me try on several dresses, she was sweet but honest and we were able to find the perfect dress for my wedding. She was attentive, helpful and great at giving advice on not only dresses but undergarments, accessories and veils. I ended up with a gorgeous Vera Wang at a great price and I couldn't be more pleased. Martina who initially greeted me was amazing as well. I felt right at home when I got there and they quickly erased any apprehension I had about shopping at their establishment after my awful treatment at the Mission Valley location. read more

Got my wedding dress here a little over a year ago, I did have some problems: staff is kinda cold, you are so excited of your dress, and your big day and the ladies who work there just have no expression on the face. I did have another problem with returning one dress for another, etc (big story) but at the end it worked out great, I got a beautiful dress and all was right in the world, I would skip buying tiaras, veils or shoes there, too expensive and they are really not even that cute. Also the "alterations" can be done right there with there seamstress, skip it, its not cheap. read more
