Made an appointment at the bridal bazaar and when the day came I went inside and I was greeted right away and I was assigned to Marina.. She was really sweet and we got along really well cuz we are both pretty young!! But she seemed sort of new.. When she had to go start an appointment with someone else, one of the managers, Cori, stepped in!! She definitely knew what she was doing! I absolutely adored her! She was amazing. Anyway I ended up buying the dress that day and they said it would be in around February and they would give me call when it came in. Well anyways, my fiancé and I went in the other day to make a payment and they told me that my dress was in (didn't get a phone call??) but good news is it came in almost 2 months before I expected!! And she also asked me if I wanted to take it that day.. Umm obvi not since my fiancé was with me!!! And then she said well you have to pick it up within 2 weeks of the arrival... Well how am I suppose to know it arrived if I never got a phone call?! Well I ended up picking it up the next day and I believe Callie was the one who helped.. She definitely wasn't the friendliest person.. And she seemed kind of miserable.. Oh well I guess I understand cuz I also work in customer service... Anyways though overall I had a good experience and I will be returning for my bridesmaids dresses!! read more

Came here to shop for my bridesmaids dresses and Lexie Cruz was so sweet and helpful to getting us started even though she had to get off shift soon. She got my girls measured, helped me find what I was looking for based off the ones I saved to my favorites online. We actually found one of the dresses I favorited online and it looked AMAZING on the different body types we came in with! It only took two dresses to try to find the one and it was on sale too! So happy with Lexie's service and how quick and easy it got done. I came in expecting the worst based off of what I've seen in movies but it was actually enjoyable and a relief to find the same dress that looked great on each of my bridesmaids! Payment was easy and now I can get the rest of my bridesmaids their dresses with the confidence in knowing it will look good on them and it will be affordable! I also really appreciate Lexie listening to what I envisioned for my girls and not trying to push a sale but make sure we were all happy and being very attentive. read more

Farrah (or Sarah?), Tracy and Jean were so incredibly helpful in helping me find two flower girl dresses for my daughters. They went out of their way to find the dresses and make sure they could get to me on time. After multiple failed attempts at other David's Bridal, the La Mesa team was able to make it happen. Wonderful team effort that made for exceptional customer service! Thank you very much ladies, your efforts are greatly appreciated! read more

I live in San Francisco, but am having my wedding in my hometown of San Diego. I was torn between purchasing my dress up here in the Bay or down in SD. I had found the dress I wanted up here in the bay and the customer service was excellent (David's Bridal in Comal), granted I went here on a Monday afternoon and was the only customer. Wanting to get the opinion of my mother and sister, I made an appt at DB La Mesa. The person who helped me out just always seemed like she was in a rush to get me to decide...on the dress, when to purchase, what slip to wear. I did end up purchasing my dress here for convenience sake, but I felt like I could have been taken more care of. Granted the workers might be slightly jaded from dealing with brides all day long, but what bride doesn't want to feel special? Additionally, when going in for my last fitting, my matron of honor (sister) went to purchase some pearl earrings. She ended up standing there for 10 minutes waiting for someone to ring her up. And when someone finally came up to the cash register, she signalled to the person behind my sister. This person stated that my sister had been waiting first, but it appeared they were more eager to help someone purchasing a dress. Not cool, a paying customer is a paying customer. When this same person saw that my sister was with me, she proceeded to greet my sister a little too friendly and asked if she needed help. Lame. I will give kudos to the alterations department. Those ladies are sweethearts! read more

I took my bridesmaids here for their dresses for my wedding in October! We found 6 different that we all really liked and had each bridesmaids try on two different ones. Summer helped us and could not have been nicer. I wanted my maid of honor to wear a slightly different dress than the rest of the girls, so when we found a dress we liked, she went and grabbed one with different straps that we hadn't seen and it works perfect! We had a great experience there and can't wait to pick up their dresses in July! Thank you Summer! read more

OMG!! Where do I even begin. 1. NEVER EVER WILL I GO TO MISSION VALLEY (Daniela) is the worst consultant ever, she needs to learn proper English, I had to keep asking her what she was saying, and also would not let me give my own opinion. I purchased my Oleg Cassini dress at David's Bridal, and it was such a great experience!!! I went in a couple months ago with my mom, grandmother, future mother in law, and future sister in law/bridesmaid. I tried on three dresses total, and knew as soon as I put my dress on, it was the one for me! Everyone working there is so nice and attentive. I also purchased my bra, slip, veil, sash, and bridesmaid dresses here. When I went in again for my final fitting, it fit like a glove, so perfect!! I LOVE my dress, and I love David's Bridal!! ALSO, my dress was originally $1,200, but when we purchased it, we got $300 off!! I got my dream dress for under $1K! read more

Tatiana was amazing. The store seemed busy yet I got wonderful one to one service. She helped me select the dresses that I thought would fit me best and made some selections that I should try. I found my dress, had amazing service from the hello at the door to the goodbye as I left. So excited for it to all come in! There is one issue though, I bought a dress with a halter strap which I wanted removed and their alterations department would not remove it as it "alters" the original style of the dress, so I have to find my own alteration place. read more

I got my wedding dress here, bridesmaids got their dresses here, and did my alterations. Pros: The appointment process was easy and everyone we worked with was very nice and friendly. Loved my dress, got it for a great price and oh so many compliments on it Loved the 'yes to the dress' celebration, it made it extra special The gals working went above and beyond to find my dress in white, there was only one in the US and one oversees and they got the one in the US to their store super quick, i was so thankful!!!! The lovely ladies that did my alterations were so friendly and even though it was a long process they made it pleasant. Complaints: The cost for alterations was WAY more than i anticipated. Almost half the cost of the dress, i would of liked to have been given a general quote before (i should of also asked...) had no idea on cost until i went up to pay. I didnt like that my in store orders were not linked with my account... I found my undergarments (same brand) on amazon for a quarter of the price. All in all it was a great experience when it came to customer service, biggest complaint was price on some items... read more

David's Bridal - Best experience ever! This location made me feel so special and helped me find the dress of my dreams! - Bridal Near Me - Santee, California

I was kinda skeptical going here after the horrible experience at the Mission Valley location. The main reason was that I already had eyes on this beautiful Cinderella-style dress that I've tried on about 3 times now. I wasn't sure if it was available anywhere else. As soon as I walked in, the front desk clerk greeted me and got my paperwork going. She was so friendly and attentive, all the while still greeting other guests as they walked in. She did not ignore anyone like the clerks at the Mission Valley location. When Dina was assigned to me, she walked me through the sales section for wedding dresses and asked me detailed questions. She zipped and laced all my dresses during the fitting. What was more important? She did not disappear for 3/4 of the time!!! She was there the whole time. GASP!!! So I got my dress! And to think I would've bought it at the other store, since it was the same exact one I tried on, fell in love, but was rushed out of the store since they were closing, but they couldn't even tend to me on time or give me a moment to make my decision. I love it here! I don't mind driving the extra extra distance for better customer service. read more

First off, I originally ordered my dress through a DB in LA. I had a TERRIBLE experience to say at the least. The girl did not take measurements, she was rushy, did not offer me shoes to try on the dress and also talked me out of ordering extra length on my dress. So, basically I received my dress and tried it on to find out that 1. It was WAY too short when I put heels on and 2. It was too snug in my hips. This is where Davids Bridal LA MESA came into play. I walked in and was warmly welcomed by Stephanie. I told her what was going on and she jumped right in to assisting me. She took measurements, had me try on two different sizes, gave me shoes and was just all around SUPER friendly! She hopped on the phone with corporate to see if they would be able to get the dress to me before the wedding (Jan. 17, 2015) She spoke with Lisa Marie who was also a HUGE help in this process. The two together were going to work on this issue the only down fall was Stephanie's last day was on Saturday and Lisa Marie was off until Sunday SO... I had to wait a couple of days to hear back. I kept in touch with the store Sunday and then Monday Kori the manager called me. I went into the store and Kori took my measurements and discussed what my options were she then took care of my exchange. Her and Lisa Marie worked together so that I now have the dress coming in the right size, right length and it will be here before the wedding! I went into Davids Bridal a "problem customer" and walked out COMPLETELY satisfied! I had such a GREAT experience with the girls of La Mesa. They made this process smooth and painless for me! I would HIGHLY recommend that if you or anyone you know are planning on shopping at David's Bridal you visit the LA MESA location!!! THANK YOU GIRLS FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP AND YOUR EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! read more

1000 STARS!! I made a Yelp account just to leave this review for David's Bridal La Mesa. Let me begin this review by explaining this is the third David's Bridal I have been to and is by far the best. After a terrible experience at the Costa Mesa location and a mediocre time in Mission Valley, I was cautiously optimistic about trying the La Mesa location, but I am ecstatic I did! From the moment I walked in the door, my expectations were exceeded. I was greeted promptly by the associate who asked me what she could help me with. I am sad I forgot her name, but she was clearly a well informed employee. The store was a little busy as I was there on a Sunday evening, but everyone was very polite and did their best to assist me quickly. I was there to try on the dress of my dreams! I had one dress and one dress only in mind and the associate led me right to it and provided me with background information on the designer and even told me how much she personally loved this dress. They had my dream dress in my size and by this time, I was feeling so excited! My experience was made even better... I had the most special and amazing time working with store managers Shandiin Parhm and Kori Merendo. They gave me their undivided attention and Shandiin even worked overtime to make sure I was taken care of. Kori wowed me with help choosing my veil. Kori and I shared a moment where she got chills as I tried on the veil she recommended! I felt truly beautiful and just knew this was my perfect dress! When leaving the store everyone congratulated me and told me how amazing I looked in my dress. The next morning I woke to a sweet email from David's Bridal congratulating me on finding my dream dress. That was truly a nice touch. I could go on and on about how happy I am with my experience at Davids Bridal, but I will conclude this review by saying a huge THANK YOU to all the fabulous employees, especially KORI. She is THE BEST!! Thank you for making my day, week, month and wedding planning experience infinitely better. I was the happiest girl in the whole world on Sunday all thanks to you! When the time comes to purchase your wedding and bridesmaid dresses, save yourself time, trouble and heartache and go straight to the best at DB La Mesa. I get to pick up my dress April 20 and absolutely cannot wait to go back! read more

This is also going out for their manager Megan she was superb i brought in one of my bridesmaids dress in a pickel because i bought it online and it was supposed to be special ordered but it ended up coming from a store in PA which is where their corporate headquarters are and so long story short I showed it to her she said that was an easy fix if we could wait 10 minutes we agreed and then we looked around at shoes to get ideas and then next thing we knew the dress was done and i asked her how much and she said it didn't have to pay anything so i thought i'd pay it forward and give her a glowing review online. Thank you Megan for not letting me stress out more than i needed to 4 months until the wedding :) read more

I had a really great experience at this David's Bridal; an experience that was much different from all other David's Bridal locations I've been to. I've been to the one in Mission Valley, as well as one back in the Chicagoland area, and found that David's Bridal employees can be bitchy for no reason. No idea why. You would think that they would understand that the bridal party is stressed enough, and that they don't need to add on to it. Anyhoo, from the moment I called in to make an appointment and to when I came in to sign in and register, Cindy was very pleasant. I tried on several dresses with Paola, who was very patient with my mom, sister, and me. She made me feel very comfortable when trying on dresses with a complete stranger. I was still weight conscious, but less anxious about whether the dresses were going to fit or not. I think that that was very important because every bride doesn't want to feel fat; every bride wants to feel beautiful. Hope that makes sense. She really took some of the edge off. It's just the way she talks to you: sweet, sisterly, calming tone. She doesn't alienate you from any dresses because of your size. She allowed me to try on whatever I wanted just so I don't feel that I missed out on what could've been "the one". Paola was working with me and another bride at the same time, which was fine with me. It took me a while to decide yes or no on each dress anyway. While Paola was helping the other bride, Martina, a manager at this location brought me a couple dresses that she thought I'd like based on all the others that I had already tried on. She brought me one that I was ogling when I came in, and it ended up being the perfect one. She brought a veil and hair accessories to help me visualize what it would be like altogether. She even had me walk down an aisle of mirrors, and it reaaaaally helped me make a decision on what I want for the wedding. I'm actuallly going back this weekend to put a downpayment on the dress, which by the way, was marked down from $1200 to $799! So awesome. It's a beautiful Oleg Cassini dress that I'm totally obsessed with now. After I tried on the dress that night, they told me that they would it add to my favorites. A couple weeks later, I called in to ask if the dress was still in. I was told that they didn't have my information in the system and that they couldn't figure out which dress I was referring to. Thankfully, I had all the information they needed in order to verify whether it was still available or not. I called back to give them the style#, and they put it on my list. This time, it was for sure on my list! Putting it on your favorites doesn't hold the dress for you, but they do offer layaway and a credit card. Layaway requires you to put a 25% deposit down on your whole purchase. After that, I think you have 2 months to pay it off. Not too bad. Their veils and hair accessories are very expensive, though. I knocked off a star for that, and for the fact that they don't have too many shoe options. They have bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride dresss, as well. Some of them are nice, but can also be overpriced. I might skip on the bridal party's dresses, hair, and shoes from David's Bridal, but I will be back this weekend for that dress. No questions asked. The ladies were very friendly. I'm glad that I came to this one. They exceeded my expectations because walking in, I thought I'd have to deal with bitchy employees again. read more

I brought my bridesmaids here a couple of weeks ago and the process was very easy and quick! I checked out all of the dresses online first. I wrote down the style numbers I liked and made sure they came in the colors I needed. When I came into the store with my girls, I had the list in hand and ranked them in the order that I liked them (incase we didn't get through all of them...there were 12 on my list and I had 5 girls!). This did not seem to phase the girl who helped us. She took down everyones' names and sizes and put them under my "regsitry" with my chosen color. She pulled a few dresses for the girls and we got started. I liked the dressing room area we used because it wasn't out in the open for the rest of the store to see. There were a bunch of rooms and they all had mirrors on the outside (none on the inside I'm told). There was also no one else trying on normal dresses while we were there, so it was kind of like our own private party! (And let's not lie, I really enjoyed that I was brought a chair to sit on while I waited for the girls to come out so I could "judge" them.) The girls tried on all of the dresses from my list, aside from 3 or 4 that they didn't have in the store because they were new styles (one was old and discountinued). This was my only problem. If you're going to put these dresses on the website and mark them as "in store only", you should make sure they get into the stores before they are advertised online. We were in and out of there in about an hour and it was a very painless process. The sales people were helpful. They didn't rush us or mind that there were a bunch of dresses on my list. We made our decision essentially that day. I called back to the store and updated my "registry" with the one dress style we chose. They were helpful in answering my questions about the ordering process, as well as alterations. I have had a very enjoyable experience with them regarding bridesmaids dresses. read more

I don't know who isn't a fan of the spot where they find their wedding dress, but I definitely am. I went in to look at wedding dress and found my dream dress. When I entered, I was quickly greeted by the lady at the front and she gave me a bag of useless junk. Another girl came and handed me a book and had me mark some of my favorite dresses down. I went through the book with my mom and we marked about ten dresses. The girl brought me a slip and a corset type bra thing and I put those on and she came and brought in the first few dresses. I tried those dresses on and was not too pleased. About ten dresses in I found one I liked but I didn't want to buy the first one I liked so my mom and I left for lunch. After we had lunch at the worst Chilis and a trip to another dress shop I was at a loss for what I wanted. I was seeing ruffles and tulle and bows all over, as some people see spots. We went and brought in reinformcement-my future mother-in-law. We returned to David's Bridal without an appointment and a new lady helped me try on my top two contenders. Ultimately I decided on a dress and got to ring the bell. A few months pass and I made an appointment for alterations. My appointment with Ursula went fairly well. At about 12:30, the 1:00 appointment decided to take it upon herself to join us for my appointment. Ursula did her best to appease the lady, but I feel the front desk people should have better control over the customers. Nothing is more awkward than having a stranger stare at you lift up your skirt layers for hemming purposes. That's the docked two stars. Ursula is a rock star and a super friendly lady, which is why I gave them an extra star. I will update my review once I get my dress back but I have full faith that it will look as lovely as I imagine it will. I just wish the cost was less. I'm sure I could have found alterations cheaper elsewhere, but time is money and I surely don't have a lot of time between wedding planning items. read more

The ladies at (Lauren stylist Jean bride guide Ursula in alterations and Marlana manager) David's bridal in La Mesa provided the most warm and thoughtful customer service-EVER. They took their time to help me make a selection and answered all my questions without feeling rushed. They help me even narrow down the dress that I am most identified with because I was confused about the style and look - they helped me Hone in on my vision for myself at my wedding. They truly provided encouragement and support and it felt like being among friends! Lauren Jean and Ursula and alterations were the ladies who provided me support. I was really impressed because at the same time they were actually helping other customers and I was like a sort of walk in and they happen to have an open spot and they let me in. They really went above and beyond and compared to other bridal shops I've been to this one had the most intimate thoughtful feeling. They felt like friends and with no pressure - I don't come by this often and i have to say while I'm kind I'm indecisive and they were so patient. I even cried! They shared my joy earnestly. Seriously this shop deserves recognition and should be the example for others to follow. But at the same time these ladies have HEART and warm spirits!!! My mom and I left very happy and extremely excited. They took a lot of stress off my shoulders! And I left feeling lighter that's a lot! Thank you ladies at David's bridal in La Mesa!!! read more

My fiancé and I have been together for a LONNNNNGGG time. We are in our mid to late 30's... So looking for a bridal dress is something I've been putting off. The whole process of it all makes me feel overwhelmed. While visiting San Diego I decided to make and appointment and go to the DB in Grossmont with my sister. I made an appointment online... which was very easy to do. As we walked in the ladies there at the front counter were extremely nice and welcoming. My bridal consultant lived up to her name JOY. She was truly a joy to help me go through this process That I have been avoiding for so long. I truly felt like I would never feel that moment that you're supposed to feel when you find a dress you love. I thought I'm too old or it's just not going to happen to me. However, she helped me with finding my dress. We laughed and had fun... Which I truly appreciate because I was able to relax and enjoy the moment. I definitely enjoyed my time and most importantly she didn't make me feel like I was just another sale. I found a dress I felt beautiful in... Joy matched the perfect accessories I needed. She understood my needs and wants and I think that's really special to have in a bridal consultant. Thank you so much Joy for making my time there special. For you brides out there that are feeling how I felt... or even overwhelmed with the entire process ask for Joy. I promise you she'll make you feel special. read more

Long story short i bought my dress a few month back slightly snug but i had lost 20lbs and losing more. I broke my leg and gained most that weight back and was absolutely a wreck about fitting into my dress. Until recently they started offering exchanges. I went in no appointment and was paired with Avalon to do the exchange process. I was I sure if i still even loved my dress with it not fitting but we tried it in a bigger size and she was so sweet and supportive and told me i looked beautiful and how perfect my dress was for me. She made up for my past 2 negative experiences. And made it the bridal experience i hoped for and i was only exchanging. So thank you Avalon for making my experience so great tonight and making me feel like a beautiful bride!! read more

We walked in and the girl at the front desk was so rude I almost walked out. All the dresses were super expensive but looked so cheap. Customer service is a big part of this industry and for the price of the dresses you would expect some professionals. You might want to reconsider who's greeting people at the front of your store. Went to Prevue... they had a much better selection. Dressed were beautiful. David's bridal needs to step up their game and keep up with modern times and get some professional staff. read more

I had an appointment to try on bridal gowns. This was my first appointment ever, so I tried to make it at a time when they weren't going to be busy (a Tuesday at 11:30 am). I was greeted immediately upon entering the store with my mom and man-of-honor, and the store looked pretty empty. She let us look around and pick out specific dresses to try on, but asked us not to pull them off the rack ourselves. My stylist was Katie, who came out after a minute or two. She was very sweet, and helped me get in and out of each dress (which is harder than it seems). Although this was my first appointment, I'd spent quite a bit of time looking at dresses online (as you can imagine). She asked what kind of dress I was interested in, and I described it but said I was open to anything. To start, she put me in a long-line bra and mermaid crinoline, since I'd said I liked mermaid dresses. I was nervous going into the appointment, because I am plus-sized (street size 18) and busty (about a 40G). But the bra fit great; the shapewear was more comfortable than I'd predicted and really helped me to see what the dresses looked like. I tried on several dresses during the two-hour appointment, and Katie helped to show me belts, veils, and other accessories to complement each. All of the dresses fit, which I know is not available in all stores! Another stylist came and offered suggestions as well. While I was there, the store remained very calm and quiet. The only drawbacks: there were a few David's Bridal dresses that I'd liked online, but they didn't appear to have them in store, in my size. It also took awhile between trying on gowns, so I had downtime between each dress. This did help to move around in the dress(es) and get an idea for how they'd feel for longer than a few minutes, but I'm also pretty decisive and could tell right away that each one wasn't It. Also, a drawback on my part: since this was my first time trying on gowns, I think I was too hesitant to give them a better idea of what I wanted. Katie was helpful, and paying attention to what I was saying, but some dresses felt like they missed the mark of what I wanted. In this situation, make sure you tell your stylist so they can help you re-direct. You want to make the most of your appointment time! Although I ended up getting my dress somewhere else, I would recommend this store for other brides. If you've already looked at their dresses, it may help to call ahead and see if they have the ones you're interested in stock/in your size. Good luck! read more
