As a plus size Bride I highly recommend David's Bridal, they have a huge selection of plus size sample sizes and incredibly kind and caring staff who genuinely want you to have a beautiful and dignified experience. I went to them last month, my plan was just to do an initial look around and see what caught my eye. They happened to have an appointment available and so I was actually able to look at, and then try on dresses. As a plus size bride I was so nervous about wedding dress shopping. I was afraid I would have to settle for something I did not like and then be unhappy on my wedding day. I was also worried they would not have sample sizes that fit me, or that the staff would be unkind. I was so relied when they assigned Josie to help me. She put all those worries to bed and was so incredibly kind and caring and helpful. Josie showed me the different styles, I took note of the ones I liked and then she pulled them for me to look at. I found out quickly what my sale was and she was instrumental in that process. I found a dress I really liked and I plan to go back soon to see her and get it. I highly recommend this store for all brides, but especially plus size brides. They are kind, have amazing inventory and will help you find exactly what you need. I definitely would ask for Josie when you're booking as she really made the experience so special and wonderful. Tell her Yarrow sent you :) read more

I went to David's Bridal kinda nervous at the fact I thought I wasn't going to be able to find a wedding dress giving I'm plus size. Matthew helped me by picking out beautiful dresses until we found the one in a matter of only trying on three dresses! I got to ring the bell as tears shed from our eyes. Matthew was very helpful, kind and understanding! The staff is also kind and friendly. My wedding was on 03.06.2026 and I couldn't be any more happy with my purchase of my BEAUTIFUL wedding dress. I truly felt like a princess on my big day! My dress was 3k. Not because of my size, because of the type of dress I wanted. So please keep in mind there's plenty of dresses to choose from that will fit your budget! They have an amazing selection of beautiful dresses. Thank you so,so much once again to Matthew for making my special day special! read more

I came in here two weeks before before my wedding needing a last minute dress, and the staff was AMAZING. I tried on every dress they had on the rack and found one that was so cute but was a little too small - they rushed an alterations order to put in a corset back so I could wear the dress just in time for my big day! Their alterations department was amazing working with me to get that done in time, and I was able to marry the love of my life and I love the way the final dress looks in our photos. I loved this location especially and have always had a good experience at David's Bridal overall - highly recommend. read more

regret to inform you that I will not be purchasing the dress I was interested in. The service I received from the staff member was very poor. I have the means to make the purchase, but the way I was treated was unacceptable. It appeared that I was given misleading information simply because I speak Spanish. I am not interested in doing business with personnel who display discriminatory or biased behavior. For that reason, I scheduled an appointment, but I was not attended to as expected. read more

I needed to find a dress for my wedding in February. Looking at the website, I didn't really think that I would find anything that I was into, but I'm glad I found at least 1 dress that made me book an appointment. I went in on a Sunday right before they closed and Oscar (or Onyx, was on his name tag) was my stylist. He was very kind and sweet and helped me jump right in. I commend him for his patience with me because immediately I was overwhelmed with all the options presented. He was also very professional and was very good about considering my budget. In the end, I walked away feeling beautiful and If you need to go dress shopping and come here, Oscar (Onyx) was an absolute dream, and you'd be very lucky to have him helping you! I absolutely loved my experience at David's Bridal! I drove about an hour from the South Bay to this location because all of the David's bridal in our area had shut down. I am so glad that I did, though, because our stylist, Onyx, was an amazing person to have by my side throughout my entire experience. Onyx never pushed or prodded about my budget. I was nervous going into wedding dress shopping because, although I may be able to afford a more expensive wedding dress, it's not something I wanted to spend an arm and a leg for. Onyx understood that and stayed within my preferred budget. He even helped me find a dress for a fraction of the entire budget that I had allocated to wedding dress shopping. I felt no pressure!! Another nerve wracking thing about wedding dress shopping is privacy. Onyx allowed me to get undressed and dressed into each dress without pushing me to have a stylist in the room with me. However, he was there at every beck and call every time I needed to be cinched in or zipped up! He was extremely attentive to every detail, and he was even attentive to my guests that joined me for this experience. I will say that this location gets extremely busy with, not only appointments, but walk-ins too! However, I completely understand why. They have an amazing selection of dresses for weddings, prom, bridesmaid, mother of the bride, and mother of the groom dresses -- all within anyone's budget. If you're struggling to find a place to try on wedding dresses, I wholeheartedly recommend this David's Bridal location. Again, it's a bit of a drive from the South Bay, but it's definitely worth it! Their team is amazing -- from check-in with Aline, to trying on gowns with Onyx, to purchasing the dress with Onyx and Manager, Matt. They all made this dream experience a reality for me, and I am so grateful! Thank you DB Pinole team! read more

She showed me lace samples they could do and let me choose the placement of the lace for my gloves. Faith was so sweet . And truly so helpful , she made my experience yet again feel so special. Update- the dress was beautifully altered, just how my daughter wanted it. The price for the alterations was exactly what they quoted. The local boutique store kept upping the price for every fitting, but David's gives you a clear and obvious written offer. We had a written agreement with the local, and they would argue that we were changing the requirements and thus sending the price upwards. David's was clear, professional and friendly. They were also on time and willing to help with issues, like bustling and unbustling the train. It was a pleasant experience and worked out well read more

I really wanted to try and give a good review for our stylist, but unfortunately I just can't. What was supposed to be a quick 1 hour appointment because I already knew the style, I wanted turned into two hours because the person I was assigned didn't listen to any of my requests. I tried to make it easy by looking up styles I liked beforehand and narrowing it down to 2 that I wanted my bridesmaids to choose from. My vision was that my bridesmaids were going to look uniform for the most part. I told my stylist, I forget her name, but I think it was like avery or alvery or something, and she was short and a little on the heavier side, exactly what I wanted the girls to try on. On top of that I even told her the color I wanted. She pretty much ignored every one of my requests and my bridesmaids request. To start off, she was pulling just whatever style and letting the girls choose from a bunch of a different styles I didn't want. I made it clear I wanted two styles. After some time, I just gave up on having them the same styles. Secondly, I asked her beforehand to show me which dresses came in my color as I didn't want to waste of my girls time. She insisted that all the dresses in my store came in my color. In my head I knew that wasn't completely true because I had looked online, but whatever she's the worker not me. So okay, the girls started pulling all their dresses. A few of them fell in love with what they had. Only to be told by my stylist that it didn't come in my color... disappointment again as I clearly asked to make sure what they were trying on came in my color. Some of my bridesmaids then asked her what came in my color, she said she didn't know, yet she had the ipad with her to be able to see. Are you just lazy at this point? We decided to just look on our own at this point as having her was a waste of our time. My bridesmaids didn't want to order with her and give her the sale because she just wasted all our time, yet they felt pressured to. At the end when one of my girls went to order, she wrote all her info down on a post it to make it easier. The stylist couldn't read as she proceeded to ask my friend multiple times what her name was and how to spell it, it wasn't hard. Her name was Dee. It was also written down. We were better off ordering from azazie or something and exchanging if the dresses didn't fit right. read more

I've had the pleasure of purchasing, resizing, and finally bringing the right one home to the wedding. My first interaction was with Matt on Sunday: 10/6/2024@1:40pm. His energy is contagious, I loved feeling comfortable with his suggestions and also addressing the shall purchase I needed soo effortlessly. He's keeper and deserves a raise. Upon arriving at this location I was greeted from Ms. Illium on Monday: 10/7/2024@5:21pm. Her greeting was kind and generous. She graciously acknowledged my concerns with ease. Her kindness is appreciated. After Ms. Illium's greeting I was introduced to the alterations specialist, her name was Mrs. Zeeny. Mrs. Zeeny professionalism is applauded, I had many doubts and she assured my worries with exquisite duality. I thank her for taking such care pinning each hemming point soo flawlessly. She deserves a raise too! Completing this appointment, I went to meet Ms. Faith for scheduling of alterations (a month prior to the wedding). Ms. Faith was diligent and accurate. On Monday: 1/20/2024 I was running late and Ms. Evelyn was gracious enough to reconfirm the 30 min late eta of arrival with no problem. She was even kind enough to say "take your time, drive safely." Such a delightful soul. Graciously did Ms. Evelyn deserved a billion points to gryfindor with the way she was able to completely pull off the sash in the way I needed it, this meant the world to me. She deserves a bigger raise for real. Throughout the alterations Appontment, Mrs. Cindy was exquisite. Her humor and genuine character allowed for a flawless finish! I respect Ms. Cindy's honesty. She clearly recommended and catered to all my needs and I wouldn't have asked for a better fit once worn to the wedding! She is literally a life saver when making decisions. Especially because I was a Maid of Honor alone and she genuinely made me feel soo comfortable with my body. When I was doubtful, she assured me it would be as perfect as ever and the gown turned out spectacular! Goodness she needs the biggest raise! Moving forward, the bride needed a last minute color change.. Thankfully Ms. Brianna was completely capable of such adjustment and did so in less than 5 minutes on the phone. I thank her efficientcy and accuracy tremendously. I was super worried about not being able to switch the color and Ms. Brianna's assurance was abundantly wholesome. I then was contacted by Ms. Dianna and her recommendations for pre alteration funds was super helpful! I kept asking in her professional opinion how much I would need to bring? Ms. Dianna not only listed each price, she was capable of explaining all details via phone. I dearly appreciate her tender care with these small details. It really allows a client like myself to be prepared for financial matters rather than being blind sighted. (Not that I was, just saying if it's happened*). Finally, Ms. Illium with the cloth bag recommendation is OP. She was a complete diamond, when not wanting to take attention away from the bride. She got exactly what I was thinking in this moment and I just wanted to share how absolutely thankful I am for this store and how much genuine care you ladies display effortlessly. I hope this location remins open foreves!! ttfn & everyone deserves a raise! read more

Huge shout out to Camila Gomez She was our gal helping us out. Not only was she so attentive and helpful, she was SO sweet. I'm the bride and the way she jumped in with answers to questions or just sparked up conversations about shared experiences... it felt like she was just another member of the bridal crew! There was never any pressure, she just wanting me to enjoy the moment. Her exceptional bilingual skills made her even more special, as I would change in and out of dresses I could hear her keeping my mom (primarily Spanish speaking) involved and included as well as the rest of the crew. All I heard were giggles and happy conversations! Something that made it even that much more enjoyable was to know that my crew was having just as much fun as I was! To keep this long happy moment short, I SAID YES TO THE DRESS All thanks to you Camila! P.S. You're mom might be right, you may just have to get it!! It's STUNNING hehe read more

Dresses are pretty affordable for wedding dresses and they have 20 dressing rooms! I feel like their style is more poofy and lacy versus simple and flowy. There were some cute ones though! This is the first time I've ever been to David's Bridal. I made an appointment for the bride and bridesmaids. The parking lot maybe bigger than the store. (Exaggerated). But honestly the store is not that big. Surprisingly the bride said yes to her dress within an hour and I have to say it fit perfectly at the time she tried it on. Since our appointment was right after the bride, our girl Emily started the bridesmaids appointment a little early which worked out perfectly for us. Though Emily exceeded as customer service rep/sales rep, it couldn't make up for the fact that the store didn't have a lot of options for bridesmaids. It was either they didn't have the right in the color or the color in the style we wanted. However, we were able to find our bridesmaid dresses in the end (color, style, and size). FYIs: Once you pick up your dress you are responsible for alterations if needed. There's no chairs for the bridesmaid. And only Two chairs for the bride and her guests. Price: it was affordable. Payment: if you don't purchase at time time of appointment you can't receive the discount later. If you can't pay, you can put a down payment. And you must download their APP. The could be an issue for some people FYI. So I'd bring cash or CC and be ready to purchase. read more

Had my first ever bridal fitting and it was amazing! I was shown how to explore the show room so I can browse and find what styles I liked or wanted to try. Was then greeted by Jocelyn who styled me for an hour and helped me say Yes to the Dress! She paired my top 2 dresses with different veils. And while I loved the first combo, the second dress and veil was the ONE. I had never thought I could feel emotion like what I felt for that dress. She is gorgeous and I cannot wait to wear her on my special day! The value for what that dress was listed as, really sold me! Affordable dresses for any budget and so many styles to choose from! I'm not too sure how I feel about this place. The first time I came to this location, I didn't have an appointment and just started browsing bridesmaid dresses on my own. Within a few minutes, one of the consultants approached me and asked if I needed help. The bride-to-be had a few dresses in mind she wanted the bridesmaids to try, so the consultant helped me find those dresses quickly. I had to sign in and had to wait nearly an hour for a fitting room to try them on. The second time I came, I made sure I had an appointment. The bride-to-be made her final decision on the bridesmaid dress, so I only had one dress to try. I tried it and was ready to make the purchase. I kind of felt rushed at this point. When the consultant finished placing my order, she didn't really provide any details to me. Turned out, she placed the order to deliver to the store. I requested to make the change to deliver to my house instead and she was able to update that. It just would have been nice if I was given the choices. It made the entire process so much longer than I would have liked. read more

My fiancée brought her wedding dress in for alterations. She requested that length be taken off the bottom, which they did, but the dress was still too long and dragged on the floor as a result, so she requested that additional length be taken off. After spending over $500 on alterations they did not provide the alterations requested, even after it was made blatantly clear that the dress was uneven and dragged on the floor. Staff made my fiancée feel rushed and intimidated; they even wrote a very unprofessional note regarding my fiancée calling her "picky", which they left out on my fiancée's paperwork for her to see. Needless to say would not recommend, save your money and go somewhere else if you're looking for a high quality thorough job done by staff who have decent customer service. read more

They have poor customer service. And not a good selection of dresses. They don't even try to help you are on your own.

The employees are rude. Two separate occasions a male employee with a curly top is disgustingly rude. He lacks customer service skills, made me and my friend feel uncomfortable. I didn't even bother getting his name because I was going to ask if he had a problem or why he had attitude when we were just trying on dresses during our appointment times. Do better because it is a lot easier for people to get dresses online and customer service should be the top priority. I would not recommend this place to someone who wants to have a positive experience in all honesty. If I could rate the employee himself it would be a -100 and tell him to go home if he doesn't want to help people. read more

Ok this is my second review of David's in Pinole, CA. This is a review of alterations and specifically Cindy. As a breast cancer survivor (double mastectomy and no reconstruction ) dress alterations come with anxiety. I'm a mom of the bride and Cindy was my seamstress. She was outstanding! I was apprehensive coming here, but as you can see from the stars I gave it, I am very happy. I had been shopping online for a long time. My husband and I eloped last year and we are having our wedding celebration coming up soon, which meant I had to shop for two wedding dresses in the span of a year, and so, I knew all of the places online to get a fairly decent priced wedding dress. (I just don't believe in paying thousands of dollars for a dress you wear once!) For our elopement luckily, my sister-in-law thrifted a beautiful dress. When it came time for the celebration I was stressin' a bit. I ordered one dress, and it was terrible. Then, I ordered another dress and it was a B+. I figured I need to just try these dang dresses in real life instead of buying them online, but I wasn't going to pay thousands at some boutique. And so, I made an appointment at David's Bridal and my SIL and friend came with me. Our stylist (which I don't remember her name unfortunately) was sooo helpful. We had already picked out a few dresses, one of which was a quinceañera dress (which felt super weird because I am 43 year old asian woman) I tried on the dresses, and was trying to decide between two very different styles, this lovely, elegant dress with a slight train, and the quinceañera dress which was white, poofy ball gown with beautiful colorful embroidered flowers! :) I knew I needed to decide and as I was in the fitting room, I had a little pep talk with myself. I know I feel weird about getting a quinceañera dress, but that dress was more ME. The beautiful embroidery just made my heart sing -- so who cares if it's a quinceañera dress. When I came out of the fitting room, my SIL and friend cornered me with the same thoughts. After I decided on the quinceañera dress, our stylist was unable to order it in my size because it was being discontinued (the dress I was wearing was a size smaller). She gave really helpful tips on how to make it work. And since our wedding date was close-ish, we weren't going to be able to use their alternations dept to get it done, so I bought the dress off the rack on the spot, to take it to my local seamstress. I loved how the stylist didn't pressure me at all. She was just being simply helpful the best she could, and made me feel reassured that it was okay that I got a quinceañera dress, as different brides wear all sorts of different styles for their wedding. She made me feel okay for me to be me, which I appreciated. When I bought the dress she told me that she's really glad I went with the one as that felt like the right choice for me. I felt like she was very empathetic to my needs, which I really super appreciated. So yeah! If you need a wedding dress, I think it is worth a drive to Pinole. And as my stylist said, some brides go in wanting a mermaid dress and end up with a ball gown or vice versa. Or you can be like me, and end up with a quinceañera dress! ;) read more

We looked at the David's Bridal website before making the one hour drive - it didn't say that not having an appointment would impact dress selection or anything like that. We walked in, and no one greeted us (not a big deal), and we walked over to a selection of dresses to check stuff out (my sister is getting married and this was her first experience trying on dresses). An associate came up to us and asked if we had an appointment, we said no we weren't aware we needed one. She then said we can't look at anything other than clearance dresses until an appointment opens up. The store manager clarified that certain dresses need assistance, but that they would get us a dressing room to help us out (points I guess). Looking around at the dressing room I saw several walk ins, so I was surprised that they had a mandatory appointment to view "bagged dresses" or dresses that are full price. They offered no assistance, one nice man came over and helped clip one she had on, he was the best part of the visit. She loved dress she tried on but honestly the service, mentality, and overall vibe of the store was so off putting that we ended up walking out without purchasing. The really crazy part of all this is the clearance dress she was looking at was on sale (with damaged accessories) for $1,200. Luckily she kept an appointment I had scheduled for her at Bliss in Petaluma, and she got the whole bridal experience and then some, with a dress that only marginally more. So David's Bridal - if you're trying to change your model to compete with bridal boutiques, the service is key - a boutique was able to offer WAY better service and she was able to get a reasonably priced gown - so future brides, don't feel like you have to use David's bridal from an affordability or quick availability. Get the experience you want as a bride, instead of being treated like an inconvenience, and go to a bridal boutique that will actually take care of you. read more

Who has bought a new dress, from a store, and have it wrinkled? And when you ask to have the wrinkles taken out, they want to charge you for it. I bought a dress from David's Bridal. They didn't have my size in store, so DB ordered my dress and had it shipped. The dress arrived very wrinkled. I asked why are there so many wrinkles? I was told it's because it came from the warehouse. I asked to have the wrinkles taken out. They told me that is considered an alteration and it'll be an additional charge. read more

This was the worst experience ever. We went in to find my already hesitant sister a dress on Monday 1/16/23. We were helped by Alexis (that's what the receipt said, her name tag said lex). Initially everything was amazing. Lex told us the dress my sister picked was a clearance dress and we couldn't get any other size except size 18. I asked if it would be that same dress or a new one simcw the dress tried on was dirty. She said jt would be a new one, she clarified she only had size 18s in the warehouse. She said she would place an order for the dress and usually because it's a wedding dress it arrives fairly quickly she said 2-3 days. We agreed and even ordered additional bridesmaid dresses. We had a wedding dress, two bridesmaid dresses, and a veil that was being ordered. On Friday 1/20 I get a cal stated my items are in. When k went to pick them up they said three items were in. That was weird to me since it should have been 4. I asked the lady but ones the wedding dress right. She said no I only see two bridesmaid dresses and a veil. I was about to lose my shjt. She said let me go to the back and check. She took what felt like forever. And then came back and said sorry it is here. She said lex had steamed it for us as a courtesy. I thought how nice. We went the very next day Saturday 1/21 to get it altered only to discover the wedding dress was dirty. I was like sis isn't this the same one you tried on? I immediately called David's bridal and spoke to Briana. She said let me check. The system showed they sold us a floor model and no one ever told us. I was like no that's not what we agreed on so I went back in to return it and exchange it. I had to drive from San Bruno to Pinole since they closed the one that used to be in colma, and let me add on gas ain't cheap. She said that's fine come on in. But didn't take any ownership or even acknowledged their shady mistake. When we arrived we said we were there for Briana. The girl said let me go get her but I think she's about to leave. Then i overhear someone tell someone else I'm a snarky way "I'm off". As in y'all figure it out not my problem no more. So we were handed off to Tiffany. I mentioned the issue to Tiffany damn near 10 times so y'all think she apologized even once? Do y'all think they tried to explain the mistake? Do y'all think we got anything out of it? No instead we had to pick another dress and they can't even expedite the dress. They said it would take an additional 10days. She said she could try to call and hound them but that's as much as she can do. I said how is it that y'all mess up and now we need to pay for it? Again ignored my comment. This was supposed to be a fun exciting experience for my sister. Now we're left with waiting for a dress till the end of month when the wedding is 2/15. So close to the wedding we should not be having to be worried about a dress. I am shocked that a place that deals with an outfit for a woman's most important day was so wreckless and showed zero remorse about what they did. I've managed a bank for the last five years and you should always acknowledge how the client feels and apologize if you or your staff messed up. I am not surprised no one apologized because if the managers don't take ownership why should the staff. Tiffany, Briana and Alexis y'all need to do better for your clients. And my sisters dress better hurry the fuck up. And we even tipped Alexis the first day. It's frustrating to know we tipped someone who played us. read more
