From start to finish, I had such an excellent experience with Dare and Dazzle…read more * It was the only place that I could find within a few hours drive of me in northern NV that rents dresses and will let you try on that exact dress in-salon. The rental prices are so great, but I feel even the purchase prices are reasonable! I love supporting this woman-owned small business! * Their inventory is online, so I could prepare ahead of time to know what my favorites are and request them to be in-salon ahead of time. Spoiler alert: the dress that was my favorite online ended up being THE ONE! * They had plus-sized (or maybe mid-sized) inventory. It seems that they try to carry all sizes up to 20 for most, if not all, of their dresses. I ended up being a size 20 (I'm an XL or size 14 in regular clothes), so I topped out the size range. I do wish it could be a bit more size-inclusive there. I had gained a little weight after my fitting and before my wedding and had a lot of anxiety about me potentially not being able to fit in it, and there being no larger size. (It ended up fitting, thank you corset!). * I made an appointment online, instead of being forced to call on the phone, which I greatly appreciate as an autistic introvert! On that note too, all communication after my dress purchase in-salon was done via email. I sense the owner may be an introvert too haha! * They really treated my guests (in-person and Facetime!) and me like we were the only ones that mattered and let us try on anything that was picked. The owner, I believe her name is Hien, took her time and walked me through trying on different dress types, to get an idea of the shape I wanted. She left my favorite dress for last, the one I ended up picking! * There is a very sweet and talented hair and makeup artist Alexa that showed up for my appointment who gave me a free consult, even though my wedding was out of state and I wasn't going to be able to use her. I now follow her on social media! Seeing myself in THE DRESS with a quick but beautiful hair and makeup look gave me the whole picture, and made me more confident that I was picking the right dress. * Hien offers tailoring a bustle on and height tailoring based on your heel height, for a very reasonable additional cost. * The shipping to me was perfect, it arrived a few days ahead of when we needed it. The box even had a handle to make carrying it around the venue much easier! * I did have it steamed by professionals a few days before the wedding, and I'd say that's necessary as it does come with a few creases, naturally. * The box it came in had a prepaid shipping label inside, so all I had to do the day after the wedding was put it back inside the box it came in, tape it up, and put it in the mail! The people who steamed it ended up not returning the box, so while they were frantically trying to find it, I emailed Hien that there was a possibility I needed their address to mail it myself, and she responded next day with a new prepaid label. So nice! (The professionals found the original box though). It ended up getting delivered back to them in a week, through the holiday shipping mess. * Most importantly, I got SOOOOO many compliments on the dress, not only from my guests, but also from tens and tens and tens of people that we walked by on our wedding day photo shoot. I felt the most gorgeous I've ever felt in my life, like a glamorous old-school Hollywood movie star, and the dress (Malala) played the biggest role in that. Thank you Hien and Alexa for preparing me for my dream day!

The shop is beautiful and perfectly sized for a private bridal party. I was in awe as soon as I walked in. Its design is well thought out and thoughtfully put together. The ceiling is high, and it feels magical to walk into. Hien is amazing to work with. I felt beautiful in all of her amazing gowns. She listened to what I wanted and was able to pull the dress that ended up being my Yes to the dress! The gowns are made to be rented and have built in bras and corsets that allow the perfect fit for people of all sizes. It was nice to be able to find my dress and know how I would look and feel in it without having to think of alterations. I was able to have a private appointment with 7 of my bridesmaids/family. We brought our own champagne and spent a little over two hours trying on dresses. It was a really fun experience for everyone. A few of my bridesmaids were able to try on some bridesmaids dresses as well. Dare and Dazzle offers a sustainable and affordable wedding gown option. They are a small Asian owned business with a lot to offer to the wedding industry. The gowns are incredibly well made. They are the quality of a $2k+ gown at a fraction of the cost. I can't rave about them enough and I hope more brides can find this shop to rent (or buy) the dress of their dreams!

I ended up being charged more than the quoted amount and had to bring my dress back a few times because she missed some basic things. I don't think the person whos doing alterations there is still there so perhaps this review is quickly outdated, but I would say there's definitely not the kind of attention to detail I would have appreciated being at this price point and for this kind of thing where attention to detail for wedding dresses is so important. Every time I've been there, there's been some brides trying on beautiful gowns, so it seems like they have a good selection of dresses if that's what you're in the market for!

First of all, PLEASE make an appointment with them. They have a small staff, and are quite busy accommodating brides! I was incredibly lucky to be greeted by Seneca, who after listening to my sob story offered to squeeze me in for an afternoon appointment to try a couple sample dresses I'd seen listed on Stillwhite. She was such a sweetheart, and when I returned for my appointment, had the two dresses I'd requested pulled, as well as a few others of the similar style. Although I didn't have a group with me, Seneca was incredibly patient and supportive while I mulled over the dresses, and hyped me up to fall in love with my original vision. Some of the sample dresses being sold are quite affordable for the budget conscious bride which was a huge plus! Additionally, I've seen fantastic reviews about their in house alterations. Highly recommend whether you're lost in your wedding dress search, or if you want an exceptional experience picking exactly what you want!

We initially spoke with several other planners, but after our first call with Kimberly, we knew we wanted her to be the one helping us plan our event this past October in Sonoma. We insisted that Kimberly was our go-to with ASE. ASE has several levels of planning packages depending on what you are looking for. My Husband and I decided to go with the partial planning package and it was the perfect balance for us. We are from the Chicagoland area so having a planner in California where we were getting married was essential. Kimberly is also well-connected in wine country/the wedding industry and has relationships with many of the vendors who ASE has worked with over the years. This is a major perk, since she was able to point us in the direction of some of the best vendors out there! We always felt like we were in the right hands and were provided high quality recommendations by Kimberly. Throughout the past year of planning with Kimberly she was always kind and had such a positive attitude. Aside from being our wedding planner, Kimberly felt like a friend. Not only did we hear from several of our vendors how much they loved working with Kimberly and how organized she was, even several of our friends asked who she was because they noticed how on top of everything she was at the wedding. Everyone tells you how stressful wedding planning can be, especially since our entire planning process was virtual and during covid, but ours was carefree and fun! You also hear "something is going to go wrong the day of" but my husband and I can say that our day was flawless. If something did go wrong, it was nothing made known or visible to either us or any of our guests. When my Husband and I returned to our hotel room at the end of that night, Kimberly and her assistant had already returned all our signs and personal belongings to our room. They laid out my veil on the bed with our welcome sign so beautifully (see pic). Although this was a small gesture, we felt it was so thoughtful to walk back to at the end of what was already the perfect day! One final touch if you will! I have said to my husband on numerous occasions recently that I wish our wedding planning wasn't over and how I want to experience our day all over again and he agrees! Thank you, Kimberly for helping make our wedding one we'll always treasure and never forget! It was more magical than we could have ever envisioned!

My 14 month engagement turned into 26 months and I cannot imagine having gone through the challenges the pandemic and wild fires presented without Kelly. In addition to her gorgeous work, creativity, and connections in the industry, she is as genuine as can be and truly wants the best for her brides, grooms and their families. Not only does Kelly want to make your wedding planning experience as easy and fun as possible, but she also does an incredible job of getting to know you and making the wedding extremely personal. She got to know my husband and me in addition to our story and overall vision for our special day/weekend. Kelly goes above and beyond. For example, Kelly knew mine and my husband's love for Crumbl cookies and it became a shared love between all of us. She had the great idea to pick up Crumbl catering for our Rehearsal Dinner, which was also my husband's birthday, because she knew how special that would be for us. This is just the smallest example of Kelly's thoughtfulness throughout the whole process. Our wedding planning process presented extreme challenges between having to postpone a full year due to the pandemic and having to find a new venue/caterer/other vendors after our original venue burned down, but Kelly had my back every step of the way. She worked tirelessly to give us the best options while still taking our budget and preferences into consideration. The day would not have been possible without her and we are forever grateful for her dedication, her hard work, and her genuine love for what she does. Three months later, anytime we see our friends and family, they still talk about how perfect and absolutely stunning our wedding day and weekend was. I knew our day would be special but it was beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of. Kelly and the ASE team went above and beyond in creating the most special, beautiful, personalized and intimate wedding for us and I will forever be grateful. I could go on for several more paragraphs, but in conclusion, if you are looking for a wedding planning team, you will be in the best hands with A Savvy Event!

Marina at Le Caprice is a lifesaver!…read more I ordered a Vivienne Westwood gown from a very popular bridal shop. When I tried it on during pickup, I knew something was off. It took 3 stylists just to hook the dress together before it could be zipped up. I had not gained any weight since ordering, and the dress felt like it had been ordered a size too small. The stylist who was helping me put on the dress kept reassuring me that the gown had a hard corset, and because it was strapless, it was meant to fit that tightly. Well before my actual wedding, I had my courthouse ceremony... I needed a lot of help to get the dress hooked on, and when it came time to drive to the courthouse, I couldn't even sit up. I had to lean the car seat all the way back in order to make it to the courthouse. The entire afternoon I was so uncomfortable that I didn't even want to drink water. After that experience, I brought my dress to Marina at Le Caprice. She took one look at my back and didn't even bother zipping me up. She assured me that my dress was too small, that it was not just in my head, and offered to remove the zipper and replace it with a corset back! I was nervous because I really loved the top part of my dress and how snatched it made my waist look, but when I received my dress it still looked just as perfect! Not only that, but I was completely comfortable in it when I was sitting and eating at my reception (: Marina was able to complete the alterations super fast at a fair price and I think the corset was elegantly executed. I highly recommend coming to Le Caprice!
