I came to Sylvia on a short timeline with a request to hem my (quite expensive) wedding dress. It may seem simple but the bottom of the dress had at least 7 separate panels of tulle with many, many delicate layers. Sylvia took on the challenge and had the dress ready within a week! The hem looked ten times better than it came from the designer. She kept the shape of the design as intended but made the length wearable. Sylvia even came up with a way to store the dress so it was ready to travel for a destination wedding. I didn't even have to steam the dress on arrival! I highly recommend Sylvia for anyone in the North Bay or San Francisco. On top of all of being an expert, Sylvia is a truly lovely person and joy to work with! She is deserving of your trust!

Sylvia is a true skilled professional. She does extremely fine work and will let you know based on her years of experience and training what will work and won't work. She has a strong personality and reminded me of the Incredibles movie character Edna Mode! I got many compliments on the dress at my event-it fit beautifully and the fabric floated above the floor, hemmed perfectly. Thanks Sylvia-I will definitely be returning for your services!

Sylvia is absolutely incredible! She is certainly talented and made my wedding dress an absolute dream! I am beyond grateful for her skills- of course! But I'm beyond grateful for her dedication to her craft and for her kindness. She is an incredible being who shared her energy and time with me when I needed my wedding dress to be what I imagined it to be. I am so thankful! I highly recommend Sylvia for any and all alterations needed. She truly cares and I appreciate her immensely.

Sylvia's beautiful work - she took in the sides, shortened the train and the straps and added a bustle.

Resell or donate the things you no longer find useful, no longer want, and/or no longer bring you joy. The beauty of being a stylish woman? Someone out there wants the things I don't. They really REALLY do. Create space in your wardrobe and jewelry box, get some cash in your bank account, it's all good. Reaching out to The RealReal to start your consignment has never been easier. Once you contact a representative, they can send someone to you home, send a truck to do a front door pickup, or email you a label to ship the items you want to sell. So convenient! Once they receive the items, you will receive notification. They will have their experts review the items authenticity, photograph them, and list them. You will get a link to watch your items as they launch and sell. The cash lands in the account of your choice. Your beautiful things are now someone elses beautiful things with renewed positive energy. It's all so very wonderful and you saved those things from clogging the landfills and littering the planet. What gave me pause was that one of the bags, priced around $2,000 and described as being in excellent condition, had noticeable discoloration and color bleeding along the top. Quite frankly, if a bag has visible discoloration, it should not be listed as being in excellent condition. Let's be truthful and accurate in how items are represented. Customers rely on those descriptions when making purchasing decisions. Seeing that immediately made me question the inspection process and naturally led me to ask about authentication. The conversation that followed was even more concerning. When I asked what would happen if a bag later turned out not to be authentic, I was told it wouldn't be returnable. That response honestly stunned me. Authenticity is the entire reason many of us choose to shop with a company like The RealReal rather than buying from a private seller. Just as importantly, the person I spoke with seemed unable to clearly explain the authentication process or stand behind it with confidence. Luxury resale is built on trust. Hiring knowledgeable authentication experts and ensuring they can confidently answer customer questions is vital to maintaining that trust. I ended up walking away from a purchase I was fully prepared to make. Not because of the bag itself, but because I no longer felt confident in the process. I wanted to share this feedback because I genuinely like the store and the sales team. Unfortunately, this experience left me disappointed, confused, and questioning whether I could confidently purchase a luxury item there in the future.

Amy and Bishlam have created such a lovely space... they're both so friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. With that insight, and just the great conversation we had, he delivered a cut I absolutely love. Having spent much of my younger "Yeah I'm going out of the house dressed like this, what's the big…read moredeal?" years in NJ - I've developed a strange fascination for short denim shorts. I spied some in the window here the other day and just had to go inside. I've been trying not to spend money on clothes - since my closet literally is overflowing with a wealth of garments that I have yet to wear, but I couldn't help but do some browsing here. As far as clothing - Gala has a hip, nice selection of things. They carry an abundance of Free People clothes, designer jeans, beautiful jewelry and a vast selection of soft cotton shirts, dresses and more.I found alot of the clothes to be fairly muted in color - alot of beiges, blacks, whites, and blues; nice, casual, chic, and wearable - but nothing really popped. That being said - everything felt amazing and high quality to the touch and if I had the space in my closet, and the money in my wallet - I would love to rock any and all of the clothes in Gala. The fourth star is for the friendly woman, working here. She was patient when I was walking around the store, and was more than willing to help - when I had questions about the best place to wait for a cab in the rain. If you're in Larkspur - stop by Gala - if even just to window browse. Their stuff is on the pricier end of things, but it sounds like they rotate their clothes fairly often, and if you're looking for stylish practical wear - they carry a great selection of comfortable and flattering outfits.
