YELP asked me to rate and discuss my experience (I did not volunteer, nor take the initiative). Having decades of experience in customer service, I treated owner Sylvia in a kind, courteous, professional manner. However, the lengthy responses I received from her in return contained multiple alarming "red flags." Unwise to ignore red flags. The upside is I not only dodged a potentially irreparable wedding gown tragedy, but I saved an estimated $800 (a 90% discount) because I "ran" so far, to an adept humble trusted tailor, a 30-minute drive from Marin, where affluent victims are much harder to come by . . . Virtually impossible to put a price on the feeling of being victimized, abused, or treated unfairly. Wiser to try to live without regret by making wiser choices to start with.

We set an appointment with her, and she spent an hour discussing options with us, at the end she suggested a very economical solution to our problem. I wanted her to accept a consultation fee, which she declined! Not often do you find such a kind hearted person. On top of that, she also helped to alter it to fit me much better. She did all this extremely quickly and efficiently! During my two times in her studio in SF, her services seemed to be in high demand, with other brides having appointments before and after mine, even during the lull of the pandemic. The work done was fine, but I had…read moreasked for a rush order to be ready the next day by a certain time which was severely delayed at the time of pickup, and nearly cost me an important opportunity. I arrived 45 minutes after the agreed pick-up time, hoping coming a bit later would give her some extra time in case of any delays. When I arrived I was told my jacket wasn't ready, and to come back in 30 minutes. An hour and 15 minutes delay if I were to pick it up on the day of a rush order, so I left and went back home empty handed. I urgently needed this jacket for that day, and I paid a premium for it to be done by the agreed time. I would've been late by an hour to my appointment had I not a backup suit at home. I asked for a discount at the very least because of this delay, and she applied $8 off.
