He finally convinced me to go in "to just look". I came out with a shirt, hoodie and a skull cap. They run a little small but they are very high quality clothing, the sweats are very thick and soft. The prices are much less than I expected. I actually need to go back because lately I've been wearing my hoodie 2 times a week...I absolutely love it. So warm you can go without a coat. The no pressure customer service was great. I'm only giving 4 stars because my husband would always go in but come out with nothing. They don't carry his size. He's normally a 2x because he's so tall but 3x would fit better when it comes to ism clothing. Honestly, I'm totally out of it when it comes to late teen - 20 something fashion but a lot of the outfits on the mannequins were somewhat ugly and in dubious taste. You can of course sort thru the stuff and create your own outfits but it seems like you'd be working against the current. I thought I'd find outfits better suited for me in the Plus sizes but nope. Prices were very reasonable. I spotted a lot of items between 10-20 bucks. But the material was flimsy. The style would be difficult to wear unless you went up an size and put on lots of underlayers. Corsets and petticoats anyone?

The effort alone was enough to make me want to hug the shit out of the woman behind the counter. While the front of the Butterfly isn't anything out of the ordinary - the window dressing by itself isn't enough to draw someone in, and I had previously assumed it was closed all the time, as there are no hour signs/ lights/ indicators that anyone is in there...I took a blind leap of faith and attempted to open its mysterious unmarked doors last weekend... And what I found, when I opened that unmarked scratched-up glass door, was a little haven from the Ross's, Marshalls, and Kohls, of V-Town. *enter blinding white light and hallelujahs* The Butterfly carries a variety of jewelery, colorful tops, standard and premium denim brands, unique tights, purses, and adorable hats. The thing that struck me about this boutique, was that they had mixed expensive items and brands you'd find at shops in SF, with cheaper articles you'd see somewhere like F21. And they mixed it up well. There was definately a little something for everyone. I'm so happy to see a store like this in historic Vallejo, and I am praying for it's longevity. My advice to you, Butterfly, is to get a damn open/ closed sign and some better lighting! You have to draw the flies to the sweet sweet honey that is your fun filled clothing! After that...Vallejo watch out, because your downtown honies are gonna be dressin' something gorgeous... (and not so much in that hood rat kinda way...) :)

She does carry clothing too. I have 2 daughters that were married in the last 2 years & I found my beaded bags at this shop. The prices for the fancy beaded bags are ones that you would find in high end boutiques out of town. AND, the shop owner is very helpful and friendly. I try to make it a point to stop in when I am in the downtown area. Never know what will catch my eye...
