    The dress with the flutter sleeve option they attached at sale

    DO NOT GET YOUR WEDDING DRESS ALTERATIONS DONE HERE!! So, story time - November of 2024 I go bridal dress shopping. I want a dress with flutter sleeves - just light, fluttering sleeves. None of the dresses here have them, BUT the sales lady says they can easily add them. She brings out a FULL HANGER of little sleeve attachments that are perfect - see the photo below from when I picked my dress? See the little sleeve attachment? PERFECT! The WOMAN FROM THE ALTERATIONS DEPARTMENT comes over and confirms yes, this is an easy change. They tell me to come back three months before my wedding for alterations appointment, I am type A so I come four months before. Right away, red flags. I tell the alterations woman I want fluttering sleeves - she has NO IDEA what I am talking about. They pull in the main women who I talked to last November. NO IDEA what I am talking about. I show her these photos. NOT A CLUE. But they said they can figure it out, okay. Estimating for alterations is $1,600 (when I bought the dress the SAME WOMAN estimated $400, so they will LIE TO YOU to make a sale DO NOT TAKE THIER WORD). So I pay $800 today. The woman charges $8,000 to my card BECAUSE SHE CAN'T COUNT ZEROS I GUESS. It's not that hard, I don't care who is in charge but they need to be able to COUNT?!?!?! What the heck?? I'm supposed to come back in a month. They call me that it won't be done in time. I come back in 6 weeks. The sleeves are AWFUL. THEY ARE TIGHT, COMPRESSING, NO FLUTTER. It's not that hard guys. YOU SHOWED ME OPTIONS AND SAID IT WOULD BE EASY I AM NOT ASKING FOR THE IMPOSSIBLE. I once again explain what I am looking for, the head alterations women is pulled back in because the seamstress cannot understand me. The head alterations woman assures me it will be done in time. I come back in for my final fitting TWO WEEKS BEFORE MY WEDDING DAY and the sleeves are somehow, WORSE. TIGHTER. The cups they added to my corset (which I did not ask for) are pushing my chest up to an impossible level. I START CRYING IN MY DRESS BECAUSE OF HOW AWFUL IT LOOKS. They're all confused, asking what I mean by 'flutter sleeve' I MEAN THE THING YOU PULLED OUT AT THE SALES MEETING AND CONVINCED ME WOULD BE EASY TO DO. I AM NOT A SEAMSTRESS, YOU ARE, AND YOU SAID IT WOULD BE EASY. Anyway, HUGE shoutout to David's Bridal in Pinole because I left Gesinee's in TEARS and drove to David's Bridal. I rush in and say "I need a wedding dress and I'm getting married in TWO WEEKS". In for a fitting, I try on every off the rack dress they have, find a beauty but it's too small. They put a rush on a corset back and a bustle. Then my mom and I sit down and ADD THE FLUTTER SLEEVES OURSELVES. Turns out, it wasn't that hard - cut some tulle in a half oval, apply some appliqués, sew it on. WHY WAS THAT SO HARD?!?! Anyway, I had a beautiful wedding and am now married to the love of my life, and I loved the way the final sleeves and dress looked in the pictures (see the final photo). But all in all, DO NOT GO HERE AT ALL COSTS. If you want to buy a dress and take it somewhere else, that's fine, the front desk people are very nice. BUT THE ALTERATIONS PEOPLE ARE USELESS AND WILL LIE TO YOU TO MAKE A SALE. THEY RUINED MY ENTIRE DRESS EXPERIENCE. THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE TO DEAL WITH THE MONTHS BEFORE MY WEDDING. I can't remember the alterations women's name but she has blond hair and will LIE and not LISTEN TO YOU AT ALL. Look at that first photo, the sales woman brought out a hanger with at least 15 DIFFERENT TYPES OF FLUTTER SLEEVES to attach. The dress was ALMOST PERFECT when I bought it. I go in for my appointment? They don't know what the heck I'm talking about. The alterations department RUINED IT. I spent over $2,000 on a dress so that they could slash it to pieces. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY WEDDING. THEY WILL LIE ABOUT THE PRICE. THEY WILL LIE ABOUT WHAT THEY CAN DO. THEY CANNOT COUNT ZEROS. THEY WILL NOT MEET DEADLINES. THEY WILL MAKE YOUR EXPERIENCE A LIVING NIGHTMARE. I want to save any bride I can - comment if you need more details but also again, LOOK AT THAT PHOTO. THAT IS ALL THAT I WANTED. WHY WAS THAT SO HARD?!?!?! HIRE PEOPLE WHO CAN SEW, HIRE PEOPLE THAT CAN COUNT ZEROS, HIRE PEOPLE THAT DON'T LIE!!! Do what you advertise.

    Came here last weekend, and what a nice selection. I've been looking for a black wedding dress, and they have it all. Amy was super helpful and especially because she was getting married this year with also a black wedding dress. So that was very helpful. I don't think I'll be coming here for a dress as it's over my price range. But I really love the dresses I put on. It helped me figure out what shape and length I like. I definitely recommend this place if you have time. Parking is great too lol

    Amazing and friendliest service! The lady who helped us is named Dylan. She's very sweet and knowledgeable about the dresses. Our bride-to-be had the opportunity to try on a bunch of dresses that were unbelievably under her budget and still looked very beautiful! Dylan told her to rate each dress so that she could narrow down which one she loved the best, and our bride-to-be eventually came to realize her top favorite dress, and said Yes to the Dress! Although there were a lot of options, the process of finding the right one felt easy with the right guidance, especially from Dylan. We can't thank her enough for her guidance. Side note: I really loved how they take care of their dresses. They have them all in a protective bag, unlike other places, they leave the dresses hanging out. I also loved how organized it is-- bride-to-be wanted an off the shoulder style dress, and there was a whole section dedicated to just that. Overall, we enjoyed our time there, it was spacious, lots of dresses to choose from, it was a lot of fun and Dylan was professional. Thank you!

    Wow I am so blown away by the amazing customer service I received here from Dylan and Teresa. Not salesy at all, simply informative, polite, professional and friendly with experienced opinions. Absolutely go here! Whether you find the dream dress or not (you probably will) you will exit those doors feeling delighted, accomplished, and beautiful.

    Want to hear a crazy story? I tried on dresses from five different places and purchased a dress for my big day but then the day before my wedding I realized it was not the one! I called Gesinee's at noon the day before my wedding and Sara answered the phone and said she could pull out some options for me and to not worry they would find me a dress!! AND WE DID!!! Mya was my dress consultant and she put so much care into finding the right dress for me. She was honest and she was helpful. Mya helped me feel calm in a stressful moment. Maria steamed the beautiful veil I picked out so it was ready for the next day. These ladies went ABOVE AND BEYOND! The dresses are gorgeous - I loved them all. But, when I tried this dress, we all knew it was the one. It was exactly what I was looking for. My only regret was not going to Gesinee's sooner.

    Brides! THERE ARE OTHER STORES OUT THERE BETTER THAN THIS!! Had an appointment on the weekend, got there on time for check in and everything no one was ready for me. Me and my bridal party waited 45 minutes and it wasn't until we said we were going to go they got a stylist for us - she apologized, told me she was on lunch and wasn't aware she had an appointment. This really set the tone for the appointment. Dresses were ripped and torn but somehow still available to try one AND the place was FILTHY! like I said ladies, there is better places the this. My MOH actively saw a bees nest inside the store, bees on the windows, AND in the bridal "suite" dead bugs all around where your party sits!!! I'm not kidding I don't ever see myself recommending this place or ever going back here it gives extremely dated, cash grab, and so poorly ran. The dresses are extremely JACKED UP $500+ from retail price and I was told base alterations start at $800-1,000!!

    If you are a bride looking at dresses, this place is a MUST! I came in a little unsure and hesitant because I knew they sold both bridal and prom. I thought this meant they wouldn't have options that suited me or matched my vibe. I was incredibly wrong. Not only was the selection huge and size inclusive, but they had so many familiar brands. Teresa is a literal angel from heaven. Throw out anything you think you want and just let her run the show because one look at me and she knew exactly what I would look good in. If I could pay her to lace me up at my wedding, I would, because she had my waist at Barbie doll proportions. Great experience shopping and really friendly staff.

    Macy's Defective Bed Frames and Terrible Return Experience…read more I purchased two Gaomon Farmhouse Queen Bed Frames from Macy's online on May 29, 2026, for a total of $910.50. The beds were delivered on June 5, 2026, and both began breaking during assembly. The manufactured wood panels cracked, hardware pulled through the material, and parts separated before assembly was completed. The furniture is made from poor-quality particle board and could not withstand normal assembly. Not only did I pay to have the beds assembled, but I also had to pay someone to take both beds apart after they failed. I then spent additional time repackaging four large, heavy boxes for return. The return process has been a nightmare. The seller failed to respond to my June 13, 2026 email. I made several calls to Macy's on different dates seeking assistance. I was told UPS would arrive with shipping labels and pick up the beds. UPS came on Saturday 6/20/26 without labels and rightfully refused to take the four large boxes without labels. I then had to spend another $16.15 to arrange a second pickup. The only positive part of this experience was Wilma Camarillo, a Macy's Customer Care Advocate. After spending 49 minutes on the phone with me on June 9th, I emailed photos of the damage beds per her request, and after reviewing photos of the damage , she was finally able to arrange a UPS pickup. Wilma was professional, patient, and genuinely helpful. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that the purchase was charged to my Macy's credit card. While I am waiting for Macy's and the seller to complete the return process and issue a refund, interest charges continue to accrue on a defective product that arrived damaged and unusable. Customers should not have to pay interest on merchandise that failed during assembly and is being returned. Between the defective furniture, assembly and disassembly costs, repackaging four large boxes, failed pickup attempts, lack of seller communication, multiple phone calls, and ongoing credit card interest charges, this has been one of the worst furniture purchasing experiences I have ever had. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with both the product and the return process. I will never purchase furniture from Macy's again and strongly caution others before purchasing this bed frame.
