I said yes to the dress! I visited here with low expectations to be completely honest. I browsed the website and did not see anything that really caught my attention as I have elsewhere. This location is close to my home and had amazing reviews. I decided to make an appointment to check it out because ya never know. Additionally, everything looks different when you try it on so it was worth a shot. My stylist, Lisha, was absolutely amazing. I went in having very little idea of what I wanted. I didn't have a "vision". I spoke to her about the few things I had in mind and she really hit the nail on the head. Rather than look around, she offered to bring me suggestions based on what we discussed. I opted for that because I'm indecisive and would've been looking around all day knowing myself. She provided me with several options and they were all absolutely beautiful. The 3rd dress I tried was the absolute WOW. She offered two more after just in case but that 3rd one was a no-brainer. I loved that she suggested trying something different because it gave me an idea of how other styles would look. I was grateful for that. All the staff I encountered were great. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The staff were very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Lisha! As an added bonus, she is bilingual (speaks Spanish). 10/10 recommend this location! read more

It's 2025 why are we still shopping at David's bridal ??! There are SO many better options out there. David's bridal's dresses are extremely outdated and not worth the price. I ordered (by force not choice) a bridesmaid dress in March of 2025 and it did not come until mid August (they told me the absolute latest would be June). After my dress arrived they told me I would need to pay a rush fee to get it altered because the wedding is in mid October (which is 3 weeks). I think it's insane that they would charge me a rush fee when the dress delivery kept getting delayed on their end. 6 months to get a basic dress delivered is crazy. I ended up getting my dress altered elsewhere (the alteration took 3 days) and hopefully none of my future friends/family used David's bridal again. read more

For my second bridal appointment with DB, I visited the Paramus location since it's a lot closer to where I live. I saw DB had a few new styles online on their website that I didn't get to try during my visit in November, so I called the store the Friday before my appointment to find out if they had those styles in a size 8 so I could try them on. I was disappointed to learn after I arrived for my appt that one of the dresses they confirmed they had in stock in a size 8 to try on, they didn't! The associate working with me was very pushy. She wanted me to try on a bunch of different things despite me telling her I had already tried most of the styles on last month and they were not flattering. After exhausting options, I decided to purchase one of the little white dresses I liked the most. I tried on the style in a size 6, which was skintight on me - the associate was pushing me to order that size and had the alterations women come by to see as well. I insisted on ordering a size 8, which was the right size for me and needed very minimal alterations. I had no issues with the alterations department, except the fact that you can only go on weekdays for the appointment. They took in the top/chest slightly and sewed in bra cups and that came to $75. DB is quite rigid on dates/timelines. As soon as your dress arrives, they call you and tell you need to get there in 2 weeks to pick it up with an appointment. You can't come on a weekend to pick up your dress either - it has to be a weekday so you can meet with the alterations department. Pretty obnoxious when brides are already taking off all sorts of days for their weddings. The people who call you to make and confirm the appointments are kinda nasty / no enthusiasm. Just listing off a bunch of rules, etc. I also had an issue when I checked out/purchased my dress. I had already created a diamond loyalty account prior to my initial appointment in November. I gave them those details when I was checking out for the dress in December. There was a promotion going on at that time with 10% off little white dresses. Later that night when I reviewed my receipt, I realized they didn't give me the 10% off my order. I had to call back and leave a message and then bring in my receipt at my alterations appt to get the credit adjustment. Shame on me for not double checking it at the register, but shame on them for not honoring store wide sales and being sneaky about it. Lastly, the shopping plaza this store is in is pretty run down. The parking lot has giant pot holes and the actual store itself is quite outdated inside and outside. All in all, I am pleased with the dress and how it turned out for my Caribbean elopement but I am not a fan of this particular DB location. read more

To Whom It May Concern at David's Bridal, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my second visit to your store, which occurred yesterday. My aunt required alterations for her wedding dress, and unfortunately, the experience was significantly worse than our first visit. The customer service was subpar, and the level of incompetence displayed by the staff was alarming. My aunt specifically requested sleeves for her wedding dress, but the items presented to her were not available for purchase in the store, and others were incorrectly sized, being double her size. Furthermore, her veil was sold to her rolled up in a plastic bag without being steamed, which necessitated my intervention to request this service. We made it clear that we intended to make purchases that day, but the sales personnel failed to provide adequate assistance. The sales associate then left for lunch without notification or arranging for another associate to attend to our needs, resulting in my aunt, who was wearing her wedding dress, standing for over 20 minutes without service. I was forced to request the assistance of a manager to receive any form of support. The overall experience was profoundly disappointing, and I will not be returning to David's Bridal in the future. This incident was an opportunity for your store to rectify the poor customer service experienced during our first visit, but unfortunately, it only served to exacerbate the issue. The staff clearly require additional training to bring their competence and customer service skills up to an acceptable standard. In conclusion, we did purchase the necessary sleeves, but we elected to cancel the alterations and take the dress to another establishment for modification, as we could not trust your staff with an item of such value and importance. My sister and I went to David's Bridal Paramus to purchase bridesmaid dresses. For context, we had a extremely pleasant experience at David's Bridal Freehold, NJ, however we could not purchase our dresses due to time constraints. We decided to try David's Bridal Paramus the following day. We were greeted at David's Bridal Paramus extremely rudely. The greeter demanded that we provide personal information simply to try on bridesmaid dresses, when previous patrons had not provided such information. We were also not provided an explanation as to why we were required to provide our information. Unfortunately this left an awful impression and we left within minutes. Horrific & traumatizing experience! DO NOT GO! From start to finish, I was rushed during my dress fitting. It's been 27 days and I purchased a wedding dress on layaway. I have decided that I do not want the dress. I don't live in NJ so I am not able to go into the store again as I live across the country. I was told that I am unable to cancel the order over the phone and that I would need to go into the nearest David's Bridal. It's far and I drove all the way there in LA . Unfortunately that store was not able to make any changes in their system. We were able to get on the phone with the NJ location and the manager or employee was so NASTY! I even told them that I don't care about getting the money back, I just want to cancel my order because I don't want the dress nor am I going to pay for the remainder of it. The quality of the dresses are cheap and I know it's affordable however that energy is not what anyone deserves on their wedding day. The value is not worth it. This 1 star is purely for the alterations department. I bought a very simple tea length dress for my reception at David's bridal. Didn't think I would have issues with the alterations. When I originally went for a fitting, they clipped and pinned the dress in a way that it looked like it would fit perfectly. When I came back to pick up the dress a month later, didn't fit at all. The whole top was coming off and one of cups that was sewn in was sticking out of the dress. They tried to fix the cup on the spot but it didn't make much of a difference. The 'solutions' presented to me for the top not fitting: Take the straps up and the part of the dress under the armpits will be too tight Pay ANOTHER alteration fee for the straps to be taken up then under the armpits to be cut open more Use fashion tape. I ended up taking the dress and running. Found a seamstress locally who is fixing this. She told me that the problem is that I was sold a dress that was a size too small in the first place which is preventing the top from fitting as it's so tight in the middle and keeps riding up. This is interesting as I have not gained 1 lb since I bought the dress. Not sure why alterations didn't pick up on that. read more

We picked up my gown yesterday after the alterations department who put a super rush on it for us. The woman in charge of the alterations department gave us a miracle and agreed they could alter my dress right away. Just amazing women at this store, my personal seamstress was Safiye (beautiful woman in gray t shirt) she shortened the gown as well as did an intricate bustle in the back. She is the kindest, sweetest woman. She truly made us ( a much more mature couple) feel like young excited kids again! So welcoming and warm. Everyone here made us enjoy this much awaited experience! We can't say enough nice things about how this has worked out for us and the joy of the entire process. I had the most wonderful experience at David's Bridal Paramus location. I originally thought I would wear a simple dress to my court house wedding. I had just had a baby 3 months prior to my wedding, and had my board certification test two days prior to the wedding, so I really just assumed one of the four dresses I ordered online from other retailers would fit me and look flattering. This sadly turned out to not be the case. And also for a various number of reasons my family wasn't able to help me get ready for the wedding. So the day before my wedding I tried on the dresses and they all made me look and feel horrible. So that afternoon I made an emergency run to David's Bridal. I thought I would have to comb through the racks myself to find something I felt would work. But to my surprise they actually hooked me up with a stylist, Mollie. I actually entered the store crying out of stress and she was absolutely amazing, she helped me pick out the perfect dress in one try. My dress was sparkly and poofy. I felt like a true bride. I didn't expect that at all. It felt like a dream. I couldn't have been more happy. read more

I went to David's Bridal back in December for bridesmaid dress fittings and the associates were incredibly unhelpful. I made reservations for 9AM and when I showed up, there were about 4 girls ahead of me on line. Some were there for wedding dress fittings but most were there for bridesmaid dresses. When I finally get to sign in, the receptionist tells me to wait for my stylist/associate. 5min goes by and no associate. So the receptionist tells me to browse through the dresses and informs me that the associate will be there with me shortly. 30min goes by and no associate. By this time I am holding all the dresses i want to try on. I go back to the receptionist and she tells me to continue browsing and my associate will be with me shortly. There were many associates without a client on the floor but apparently no one could help me. Another 10min goes by and I finished browsing and I have atleast 5 dresses in my arms. I still have no one helping me so i go to the fitting room by myself and a staff member puts my clothes in a room and leaves. There were about 2 girls in the fitting room and they both had their stylists/associates helping them out with the fit, clips, and dresses. I tried on my dresses and they were obviously too big and one of the stylist helps me with clips but that was about all the help I received. I honestly don't know why I wasn't helped. It wouldn't make sense that they were short staffed because they require reservations. I also couldn't tell if it was because I was the only person of color at the store. The customer experience was horrible and I would never recommend this place to anyone. They made me feel invisible and it made me wonder why they would treat me so differently when I had the same goal as every other customer. Tried to call them back ten minutes later and was hung up on. Called back and the girl who picked up didn't have a clue. Confirmation email says I can come early and pick out the things needed for my dress. Rude lady on the voicemail tells me that I need to be there on time with all items in tow. Since the girl who picked up the phone didn't know anything, I asked to speak to a manager. Who just relayed a message and wouldn't get on the phone. Came here recently with my Maid of Honor to look at dresses for our bridal party after making a reservation through their website. Due to covid restrictions I couldn't have my entire group with me but it was no big deal. I really did not know what to expect because I have heard mixed reviews about this place. The reviews pretty much saying that you a treated different depending on how much you were willing to spend. Well this didn't happen to us, in fact, we had a great experience! Upon entering the store, we were told to start browsing and someone would be right with us. We were then introduced to Donna and started giving her ideas of what I wanted. I mentioned I wanted to keep the price low for my bridesmaids and that my group of women are all different sizes and needed a dress that works for everyone. She happily started giving me options towards what I was looking for. I was not crazy about the material of the cheaper dresses and that's when Donna brought us over to the Vera Wang section which was more of what I envisioned. Right away, she pulled out a stunning dress which was exactly the color and style I was looking for. Throughout the entire appointment she was really friendly, fun, genuine and she was fantastic with giving us amazing advice. Her customer service was second to none! Thanks to her we were able to say yes to the bridal party dress! The employees were rude, judgmental, and inattentive. 1) No one helped me during my visit, but there were 4 employees idling at the front counter. 2) There were no signs distinguishing between the fitting room and the fitting room for alterations. No one was attending the fitting rooms. I was kicked out of the empty fitting room by a lady from a back room because I was in the incorrect one. So I moved the dresses to the proper fitting room, which was 5 steps away. 3) There are no areas for our loved ones to sit and wait for us to show them the dress we are trying on. I was the most excited about coming here and had dresses already picked out before my appointment which I would've bought had I not been treated the way I was. I was forced to undress completely in front of the stylist when I asked to only have my mom in the room (no problem at my previous appointments) she refused. The woman wouldn't even look away to make me feel comfortable, instead stared straight at me the whole time. When coming out in the dress, she wouldn't adjust the dress at all to show me how it would look and she overall seemed like she hated her job. Came by hoping to find some plus sized options for a wedding dress. (My previous stop didn't have anything larger than a size 6.) Here they had plenty of options in terms of sizing, greatly appreciated. My real issues with this place were 1. Its a bit dark, dingy, and dirty. 2. My stylist listened to all of my preferences, but presented me with options that did not fulfill my desires. 3. When I found a dress I really liked, it was a really hard sell. (I understand why.) however, when I put my foot down and said I don't feel ready to make a final decision, the atmosphere completely changed and I was ushered out. Oh, also they put me in a size that was slightly too small and then for a second look at the dress she put me in the same dress just several sizes too big. Why? ‍ There's also a policy where if you are coming back to purchase the dress you can only return on a weekday for that. Why make it so difficult for brides who have made up their minds? I accompanied my cousin yesterday to find a wedding dress, and that's exactly what we did...had a really lovely experience with Maureen her wedding consultant. It was fun watching her try on different styles of dresses and seeing her so excited when she finally found the one!! The mother of the bride found her dress as well and loved loved loved the color, style and most of all the price!! I would definitely recommend brides to be to consider visiting this store...I would recommend David's Bridal to update there store and make the experience for the brides and there entourage a more memorable one. Example: replace those plastic chairs for a comfortable sofa and once the appointment starts greet everyone with a glass of Prosecco or something. Just saying!! read more

Your "corporate policy" is a tragic example of the fleecing of the consumer. I went to the shop to try on dresses for a wedding that had to be in a specific color. I had to try the dress on in a different color for sizing and then ordered the dress. I had to pay $20 more to expedite the shipping of the dress to the store. It came one week later and I picked it up on the same day I was called to say it was in. That Monday morning, (4 days later) I went back to return the dress for a refund explaining that I was going to keep the dress I bought in April from this store instead. Guess What? No refund. Why? Because "corporate policy" states that a refund is available only for seven days. Can we all do the math? I explained it was only four days. Answer? No, it is seven days from the ORDER. How the heck does that work? I didn't have the dress. They placed the order, I picked it up and returned it four days later. I was offered a credit, MINUS the $20 they charged me for expediting the dress. I gave the $119 credit to a lovely lady behind me looking for a dress. WHY? Because I will NEVER purchase another item from a David's Bridal ever again. They are not customer service oriented and it is such a shame. I was a bit nervous because I haven't worn a fancy dress since pre-covid, and she made me feel so comfortable and was so helpful in pointing out dresses that achieved the look I wanted/were super flattering. The appointment didn't feel rushed or pressured at all, and I appreciated that she helped me find a dress that accentuated my curves rather than trying to hide them. There was a much more eclectic selection than I was expecting and I tried on several lovely dresses that had the non-tradional yet elegant look that I was searching for. But the best part of my experience was definitely the amazing sales associate I got to work with, Jannette. She is the best!!! I loved how upbeat and encouraging she was. I want to give my accolades to the alterations department at David's Bridal. Everyone I worked with was so professional, helpful, skilled, and patient with me and my daughter. Azimi did an amazing job doing the actually alterations. Mary and Josten (I hope I recall her name properly) did an amazing job helping us out when we had an unexpected issue while trying on the dress. Something managed to get on the dress fabric, and we couldn't figure out how. Despite this, they quickly and effectively were able to get the spot out without any drama or blame; just pure poise, skill, and customer service. I will not be returning. Donna- the stylist made me entirely too uncomfortable. I came with the rest of the bridal party to try on bridesmaids dresses. We wanted the Vera Wang line, but when we got there it was discontinued. So we have to pick a David's bridal style in a few sizes and then get it in that color. I normally wear a size 8-10. I put on the 8 and thought it fit fine. Donna made sure to point out that it "didn't fit" because my bust was "busting out" of it... I'm non-binary and have gender dysphoria as it is but ok fine, let's try on the 10. I put it on and to me it fits the girls just fine and everywhere else as well. She then point out how it was bunching in the back and said, "can you even sit down in that?" So I sit down... perfectly fine. She asked me to get up and turn around to look in the mirror where she runs her hand down my back and fully cups my buttcheeks and says "see this, this is my concern." I was molested in David's bridal. I am a sexual abuse survivor. I was triggered and embarrassed now because my body doesn't fit the dress... Her argument is that it's a stretched out 10 because it's a sample. She then had me turn around and unzipped my dress in front of the bridal party I was with, a neighboring bridal party sharing the space with us, and another bridal party off to the near side. All are in eye shot of my exposed ass (I was wearing a thong for the fitting) and she says "oh don't worry, nothings showing. You're not exposed." The wind on my cheeks say otherwise. She made me go up another size to "accommodate my hips because the dress shouldn't bunch in the back. It should lay flat." So here I am ordering a bigger size to please the stylist who is clearly offended by my curves. Who publicly shamed me and groped me. And who kept saying how she knows best because she used to own her own bridal salon, so she's seen so much, and know all. This is her expertise... To say that I'm upset is a fucking understatement. Donna should know with all of her years of experience that the dress my be inanimate but the person wearing it is not. If you wanted to show me "the problem" you could have pointed it out or asked if you could touch me. It is 2021 and consent matters. Completely unprofessional. Also, I got my size 12 dress and it is huge on me. I'm drowning in it. I wish I could attach videos to show you how much gapping there is all over the chest area and how guess what, it does not lay flat on my back. It is bunching like crazy. So now I have to spend way more on alterations, which will absolutely be somewhere else, because the tailor will have so much work to do. This is bullshit. read more

This location just went above and beyond for me!!! I bought my bridesmaid dress in April and it's been in my closet. I recently went to this David's Bridal with a friend to look for a wedding dress for her upcoming "big day." Overall, it's a great spot to look at and try on a variety of dresses, although the store looks like it may need a deep clean and a makeover! Not the most glamorous experience, but my friend was able to try on over 15 dresses, and eliminate the styles she didn't like. She didn't end up getting her dress at David's Bridal as the salesgirl was a bit pushy, but overall we had a good experience shopping around. If you are in the market for wedding dresses, I'd say check out David's Bridal for ideas, but set your expectations lower so you aren't disappointed with the whole "experience." You aren't at Kleinfields! Also, they do have a nice selection of bridesmaid dresses in various colors - and they are very reasonable. Their Mother of the Bride / Groom dresses aren't very "trendy," and my mom said they looked dated, but that's just her opinion! read more

We went yesterday with my girlfriend to pick a wedding dress and wanted to look for bridesmaid dresses as well. We had Donna as our stylist and she did an amazing job. She helped with the selection without being pushy or giving us an attitude when we wanted to try on different styles over and over again to compare. We ended up spending more than 3 hours in total and never felt rushed. Donna has an excellent eye for shape and styles and gave us great reviews and advise. Her sense of humor made the appointment super fun and much more pleasant than the previous appointment we had in manhattan. read more

What a terrible experience, and awful customer service from a girl named Jenny. She wasn't one bit helpful. Wasn't asking me questions about my wedding, what type of dress I was looking for, and although I showed her examples of what I was already looking for from the David's bridal site that I had favorited , she still continued to show me princess like/ sweet sixteen looking like dresses when I was clear from the beginning that I was looking for a simple, satin like fitted dress, nothing poofy or party like since I'm having a micro wedding dinner. This was so disappointing. She had poor communication and wasn't helpful at all, I was giving the store a second chance after coming here a few weeks ago with mom and mother in law for dresses for them, and got the same sales person/ stylist Jenny, she was immediately showing elder women clothes to them without asking them what they were looking for, and they're not even elderly. Just don't go here, save your time and money. They absolutely suck, and the dresses are costume like graduation cap and gown like material. If I could give you zero stars I would read more
