This location and the staff were extremely helpful to me. After wanting to avoid them for being the only location in Utah that anyone shops at, I ended up going there. And I'm glad I did. And I can see why it's the most popular place to buy at. I spent a couple appts there figuring out what my body sucked at looking good in, and what it looked ok in. The ladies were patient, and helpful, and respectful of my wishes. I'm a picky brat, and needed to be perfect, and honestly hated trying on dresses that made me feel less than perfect. But they didn't waiver in service, and the photo I posted with the blonde employee made me feel like I was important and that's all I wanted spending as much money as I did there and on this dress. They didn't rush me, which is an important thing because I need to add that I was still trying to decide if I even liked a dress right at closing time. They waited until I was done, and then locked up, never making me feel rushed. I loved my dress, and loved my experience. Also, the times I felt the most stressed while purchasing, was when I brought annoying friends or family. Go by yourself brides! Also, I didn't give 5 stars because of the ridiculous schedule the alterations lady had to work with. I had to take my dress elsewhere because of how limited her schedule was. Couldn't do it in time for my bridals or wedding, despite having my dress a month in advance. Also, it's weird they're closed 1 day of the week. Tuesday's? Really? Experience finding the dress was great. The sales person sold me on some shoes and foot pedals since they were not comfortable shoes. I just got them because I thought I could return them if I decided not to use them. They said that since the event date had passed I couldn't return the shoes or the foot pedals even though they were never opened or used. Wasn't aware of the policy at purchase. I appreciate the work that went into the alterations for my daughter's dress--we needed to add a back and sleeves with a tricky fabric, and the dress turned out just fine. I wish they had included a bustle in the alterations, but for some reason they opted not to-- we had to have a talented family member add it on for us. The most frustrating part of our experience with David's bridal was discovering the night before the wedding that they had lost our daughter's veil when we brought the dress in to be steamed-- the dress had been returned to us without the veil. There was no way to get in touch with the store after hours, and the wedding was scheduled before the store would open again in the morning, so we had to scramble to find a veil to borrow for the wedding. While the David's Bridal staff is friendly enough and the selection of dresses is good, I was not happy with the poor communication on the alterations and the unprofessional handling of the veil. read more

Brought my pregnant daughter in here for a prom dress last year. They treated her like she had some contagious disease. First, they asked us, (in the snootiest voices they could muster), what we were even shopping for. Once we told them that we were looking for a prom dress, they flat out walked away and didn't even talk to us. They did, however, spend some time amongst themselves pointing and talking about us. This store is incredible and my experience was great on so many levels , especially as an out of country bride ( at the time ) I came down hoping to find my perfect dress and only had a short time to find it , I spent all day in the salon and my stylist was amazing she pulled a dress the I swear was made for me , the manager on duty was also a sweetheart !!!!! Pros- Was able to actually get the dress I needed in the end. Cons- Was left to take care of myself by the consultant. Had to ask a few times to get fitted for the correct dress size, and was measured twice, each time the measurements were different. There were 4 customers in the store and 2 consultants, I would've thought they would be able to balance their time more effectively in order to help each customer with what they needed. But instead I was left to pull my own dresses and walk around the store with the back of my dress left open because I had no one to help me, even though the store wasn't busy and there were extra consultants hanging out around the cash register and steaming dresses. read more

Nice people but not terribly competent. First, they tried to sell me the showroom dress that had a giant stain on the front. Then, they called me in to pick up my dress and they had misplaced it, so I had to wait for nearly 45 minutes. Then, the only alteration I needed was the hem and they did it wrong--it's noticeably crooked. Now, I'm waiting for my second fitting and they're running late. read more

I was skeptical at first to go in because I didn't know what to expect. I had scheduled an appointment online so they called me to confirm the appointment and when I went into the store, I worked with Amanda. She was amazing and super patient. She showed me some of the designer gowns and I was worried because there were no price tags on them. My sister found some dresses in the clearance section but none of them really worked. The first dress that Amanda picked out for me was perfect for me. And the price was way below my budget! I had to get some alterations done to it but I decided to go through a friend instead of David's Bridal. Overall though I appreciated Amanda's patience with us when we thought we knew it all. Went in to look at their wedding dresses and their selection was very small. I had a very specific dress in mind and they did not have very many options. (I wanted a mermaid/trumpet style dress.) The person helping me was a young girl that had also recently gotten engaged. She was very friendly but didn't know how to best help me since they didn't have very many dresses that fit the style I was looking for. I would recommend going in with an open mind because their selection is small. They do have a great clearance section I would recommend looking at. Okay, I don't usually write these kind of reviews but I am so so upset about their alteration. They are very unprofessional. I had to go back several times and the work was done so horribly. I don't want to get mad at the people but they were just so unprofessional and it was so stupid. They completely messed up and I asked them to fix it before the date I need it and they said they would and then called me a day after saying that they fixed it, which it didn't work either. So I ended up going back there 3-4 times. Saying that they fixed in a day clearly showed me that they put no efforts and it really ruined my mood and wedding prep. I used to give good feedback because I was satisfied with my dress purchase but now I am not going to recommend this place to anyone anymore. read more

When I came to this Orem location of David's BridalI left as a happy bride! I had found my dream dress at the Salt Lake location but the consultants and people working there were so rude and unprofessional I decided to drive an hour to come to the Orem location to buy my wedding dress. When I got the David's Bridal in Orem, Lauren the consultant helped me find the dress and I tried the dress on again for all of my family and friends to see. The workers here were so kind and really made you feel welcome at this location. They care about keeping the bride happy and satisfied. When I had my dress on, the manager Shanna came along and checked in on me to see how I was doing. Shanna was fabulous and grabbed some veils for me to try on. I left with my Oleg Cassini wedding dress and was a smile from ear to ear. Thank you to Lauren and Shanna for making wedding dress shopping such a positive experience for me. You made me feel beautiful and helped me get everything I needed to look great on my wedding day. I AM SO FRUSTRATED I CAN'T EVEN CALL THEM BACK FOR A REIMBURSEMENT... My fiance was having a great experience with David's Bridal in Orem, UT until she was embarrassed and insulted by the woman who was reviewing her alterations. You would think that paying over $1000 for a dress and $250 for the alterations, you would receive the ultimate level of customer service. However, when we went back for her to try on her dress after they made the necessary alterations, she pointed out that the fabric was bunching up in the low back area. Instead of offering to adjust the alterations (which we would have been okay paying for), the seamstress told my fiance that it was bunching up because of her poor posture. EXCUSE ME?!? Is that supposed to give a bride-to-be confidence in herself a month before her wedding? Clearly they are attempting to remove the responsibility of a poor alteration off of them and onto the customer. So, we end up having pay extra money to take her dress to a local alterations specialist who we trust. I didn't even hear about this whole thing until after we dropped her dress off for round two of alterations and now I'm livid. All David's Bridal is willing to do to make up for this whole mess is a measly $60 reimbursement for the one alteration around the hips that they didn't do correctly. Now I've wasted half my day on the phone, explaining the situation three different times, I'm frustrated, my fiance doesn't want to go back to get it fixed (and with good reason), and now I'm spending more time writing this review because I don't want anyone else to be insulted and out $1000+... read more

Three things potential brides should know about this place: 1) Alterations cost a ton. We're talking $200 on a $500 dress. And they won't talk to you about how much the alterations cost unless you ask about it. When I say "the cost of the alterations pushes me over my budget", their response is: "but if you buy the credit card, you can make easy payments!" So pretend your budget is $200 smaller if you actually understand the definition of the word 'budget'. 2) Don't give them your phone number unless you want them to call at 9:30 am on a Saturday morning trying to sell you stuff. 3) They can take awhile. I was told I couldn't get a dress until July. This was me shopping in January. A six-month turn-around seems excessive. On the plus side, they have a few selections, the bridal consultants are pretty helpful, and you have a nice area for trying stuff on. They don't have many silhouettes other than poofy, so no luck if you don't want to look like a tipped-over ice cream cone. I ended up at Elizabeth Cooper's boutique in American Fork, where I picked up a sample sale dress for $240. Better price, better fit, and no credit card pitches while you're trying stuff on. And it came with the sleeves built in. read more

The sales lady helped me the best she could, but considering they are probably one of the most popular and affordable bridal shops in Utah, I'm not too surprised. I went here this past weekend with my sister and cousin and was very impressed with the experience. Mary Barney was my consultant and she was so sweet, helpful, and really knew her stuff. She obviously knew the stock very well, and when I explained to her what I wanted for my wedding dress she pulled a dress I would have never thought to try. Once trying it on I knew it was perfect. Mary didn't make me feel pressured and continued pulling multiple dresses for me. She also took time to carefully assess what I liked and disliked about each dress. Once trying back on the dress I felt I wanted, she encouraged me to walk to the 3-way mirror to make sure I loved it from all angles. The manager Lisa also helped and checked in on me too and made me feel like my family and I were important and being taken care of. Between the two of these ladies I really couldn't have had a better experience. So pleased with the beautiful dress I bought and the people that helped make it happen! read more

My sister is getting married in September and had an appointment at 11am on a Saturday. The place wasn't packed at all! The layout is great, and spacious. All of the gowns are speared by size, napkin it soooo much easier to search for the perfect dress. Many of the dresses have bright-white and ivory options as well. After just having had a terrible experience at Alysse's bridal at the Shops at Riverwoods, my sister was feeling defeated. Let me just say that Brandi Heiner was an amazing stylist to work with! From the moment we walked in, she was very attentive to my sister. She showed her different styles of dresses, got sizes, went in the fitting room with my sister, helped her get in and out of all the dresses, helped put on shoes, veils, jewelry, etc. Brandi literally ran around the whole time, ensuring that myself, as well as our mom and 4 other family members and a baby didn't have to lift a finger the whole time. After 2 dresses, my sister found her "perfect dress", but tried on 6 more, just to be sure. The stylist was encouraging, having her try on her two favorites multiple times so we could compare. Well, my sister found we the perfect dress, and the price was great! They also have some specials running an got $50 off. We had an amazing experience. I scheduled an appointment with David's Bridal on a friday evening and it was just not the experience I was hoping to have. The girl at the front desk actually laughed out loud when I was telling her about me and my fiance and our experiences when we first met (they were not funny stories) and then made a joke of it when we met with our sales girl. They gave me a huge sales pitch before we even got started, even though right up front I told them I already had bridesmaid dresses and everything. When I told the girl what kind of dress I was looking for she said she had some great ideas but came back with several dresses that were not even close to the syle I had asked for. Not one dress I put on was at all what I was asking for or looking for and I never felt like she was really listening to what I was wanting. Then, every manager in the store came by to tell me how beautiful I looked in every dress which would have been a great compliment except none of it felt sincere. And I know I didn't look great in any of the dresses because none of them were a style that fit my body shape. I felt like a walking dollar sign to everyone in the store instead of a special bride looking for her perfect dress. I walked out of the store rather disappointed with my experience. read more
