I have visited this store twice, once as a bride, and again as a bridesmaid. Unfortunately, it's one of the few choices in the area. The staff have always been very attentive and nice. The last visit we made we were helped by Lesslie, who was incredibly helpful, positive, and really made our experience enjoyable. However, I was disappointed there weren't more options for plus-size women - we only had 4-5 to try on that were a size 24-26, despite all of the promotion for the David's Bridal "Woman" line and tagline that they have dresses for "real-size women." read more

Went here with my mom and sister and it was such a relief after having a really poor experience at another store earlier that day! Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and know what they are doing. Emily is an excellent stylist and so friendly. She was able to hone in on exactly what I wanted and find the PERFECT dress. Thank you Emily!! I didn't end up finding "the one" at Davids but if I were going to get a dress from this company it would have been at this location. Christina was my consultant; she was so personable/professional. She gave just enough space, but kept things moving. When I seemed to like a dress she was right there with a veil to compliment it perfectly. There was another lady walking around to help (manager?) and she had a bunch of sleeve/accessories to try. They even brought the seamstress over to demonstrate bustling. It was a great experience. I've been here three different times and each experiance has been different. I have looked at several different bridal stores in search of bridesmaid dresses and nothing can compare to davids bridals selection. They have a variety of dresses in several sizes to try on and get a feel for instead of just looking at them limp on a hanger. The Staff for the most part at the Eugene, OR store were very helpful. However on my second appointment I had a constultant double book me with a bride, I overheard her tell the bride that she was the main priority (which is understandable) but that we were an inconvinence to her with no appointment, When we clearing had one. read more

I found it very distracting. I was not trying to eavesdrop- I couldn't get away from it. The service was very good though. While they visited they did seem to be still alert to helping the customers. My experience with davids bridal was from July 2017 up to my wedding in April 2018. I started in Beaverton and then transferred to Eugene due to it being closer to my family. Scheduling appointments was easy and I never had a problem with it. Every time I came in for a scheduled appointment there was ALWAYS someone new that was working with us and the previous person "was no longer working there" I felt like I had to repeat myself every time and start fresh with every appointment. I had purchased a beautiful dress and was so excited that this time in my life had finally come. I always felt pressured to buy more and I felt like their main priority was to upsale as much as they could. I never felt like they were sincere in making this experience unforgettable for me. As time went on and we brought up issues we had been having, they always played the blame game and it was always someone else's fault. Then we got to alterations.....please from the bottom of my heart DO NOT have your alterations done with davids bridal....I had three or four appointments with them and I was NEVER satisfied with their work. They always gave me excuses for why they couldn't make simple alterations on my dress, and every time we went in we had to purchase more alterations that were previously promised to us. At one point they took in the right side of my dress and not the left side leaving my dress lopsided. The weekend before my wedding I went to my last alterations appointment....I left in tears and cried the entire way home....my dress looked horrific!!!!!! They had ruined my dress and it no longer looked good!!!! I called my friend and told her about what happened and she recommended a different lady to see if she could fix it last minute. I went to Maggie Ocumpaugh with Romantic Bridal Designs, she looked at my dress and had taken out all of the "alterations" davids bridal did and fixed it for me in about a half hour!!! At that moment I finally had my "yes to the dress" moment and felt like a real bride!!! One try....that's all it took her, she had made the dress look more beautiful than it did when I first put it on!!!!! Davids bridal told me it couldn't be done and gave me excuse after excuse while charging me over and over for the same thing!!! They upsaled me half the price of my dress, and I can't get a refund because "all sales are final". I wasted so much time and money and emotions playing games with davids bridal, and I will never recommend them to anyone!!!! I went here in May to try on a bridesmaid's dress for wedding in September. One of the workers could not find the bride in the store's registry (it turned out that the bride hadn't registered because she wanted to avoid all the emails and whatnot, but I was hesitant to purchase the dress that day, thinking that I may have made a mistake). This worker was insistent that I purchase the dress immediately anyway, because according to her the dress would take 2 months to arrive. This concerned me because if it didn't arrive in the correct style/size/color I would have to re-order it, so I wanted to make sure I had time to do so. The worker also failed to let me know that the sale would be final (nonrefundable) until I asked what would happen if the bride changed her mind and I had to cancel the sale or return the dress. As it turns out, the worker completely made up the shipping timeframe - the dress was available online (on sale) and was shipped in 5 days. The worker basically tried to bullshit me the entire time so that I would purchase the dress in the store that day. Obviously she was not out to help her customers, she was only out to make the sale. Glad I didn't give them my business. Avoid this place!!!! read more

From scheduling the visit, to walking in the door, everything went well. We were greeted by several different staff. We were a very small group in comparison to the other's in the store. The bride to be, the mother and two friends. Tyler H., was very personable and we appreciated her knowledge and assistance. She spent a lot of time with us. If she works on commission, she certainly will not have earned enough. (I, the mom, asked about giving her a tip (to the store manager) and she stated to leave a good review and she would be rewarded that way. After trying on maybe five or six dresses, we all went back to the very first dress! Again, thank you to Tyler H. We would definitely recommend shopping at David's Bridal. Not only do they have a HUGE amount of wedding gowns, but they have probably every thing needed for the entire wedding party. They also have many beautiful gowns that would be appropriate for proms or any other high school or college dances or events. My marriage was 33 years ago, and things have changed! My experience was not fun, was not special, and was not up to any standard I had anticipated going into dress shopping. They apparently split your appointment time with other brides, so one staff member for 2 people. I stood in dresses I hated he second I put them on for the majority of my appointment. Found one I liked. Alterations was a nightmare. They hemmed it too short and obviously crooked. Had to rush a new one which yes they were very on point in doing they definitely saved the day but my additions to the dress were not done well. It looked fine but my mom could have done just fine doing it herself but I trust that they have to do impeccable work since this is what they do all day everyday. Nope. I was so sick of being there I just said it was fine so I could get my dress and be done with it. Not to mention how expensive alterations were, which I have absolutely no problem paying for someone's well deserved work they put into it but it was not great. Some of the staff had such bad BO it was hard to breathe through my nose. Some were very nice. Some talked trash about other employees AND customers while at the front desk with people shopping in the store. Incredibly unprofessional. They don't do anything during your appointment to make you feel special either. It was chaotic and unorganized feeling. She ended up picking a dress I would have never thought of or said yes to on the hanger but after listening to my style and trying on a few she brought me the PERFECT dress! I have ordered at least 10 dresses for my upcoming 25th wedding anniversary party and sent them all back. I was very discouraged and had almost given up. From the moment I walk into David's Bridal, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Tanner, my stylist, helped me pick out a few dresses that he thought would look good on my body type in colors that I hadn't really thought of. They sell your information! My wedding was 1 year ago, I got my dress from David's bridal. Last week they called me and they told me I won 90 minutes facial massage, because I bought the dress from them and I was selected randomly. They asked me to let them know if I'm ganna get my gift, otherwise they are ganna draw another name. I thought that's so cool and It should be very relaxing, so I set an appointment for my gift and I drove 1 hour to their address . Guess what?! when I arrived there were 20 people like me, it wasn't about face or massage. It was 90 minutes of lies to force me and other poor people to purchase a cosmetic package which was at least $300. The package brand was 'Marykay". They told a lot of stories that how Marykay prevent the world from poverty, wars, cancer, addiction and provides shelter for poor women and children!!!!! I still don't understand how they have the right to waste people time like this. It is really ridiculous that police doesn't arrest them for fraud and deceiving people. If you decide to purchase your dress from David's Bridal, never ever provide them your phone number, email or home address. read more

I never planned to go to David's Bridal, as I've only heard bad things. After purchasing a dress at Blush Bridal that I ended up hating, though, I decided to give them a try as I needed some place where I could get a dress off the rack since my wedding is in a month (and honestly, after ordering a dress I liked from Blush and having it come in months later looking AWFUL, I was too scared to order anything again). I'm a tough bride to please dress-wise, very picky. In fact, I was at David's Bridal for 4 HOURS (over 2 days) trying on everything in the store and my consultant, Jordan, never lost patience with me nor did she try and push me to buy anything. I was annoyed with myself, wishing I could find something, but Jordan remained supportive and was determined to find something for me. She ended up finding me a beautiful gown and the quality of the dress is much better than that of the designer one I purchased from Blush, which was surprising. While the dress is nice, I'm really only writing this review because Jordan made my panicked dress search as comfortable as possible and I'm super grateful. read more

This review is only for the EUGENE location, as the store in Happy Valley near Portland was exceptional (where I actually bought my dress). I had a difficult time finding a designer that I liked, until I came across Melissa Sweet on the David's Bridal website. She must have a contract with them because I was unable to find the dress anywhere else. The Eugene store ended up not carrying the designer I wanted, but they did have it in Happy Valley. Eugene was not really willing to find the dress that I wanted, so we had to do the research on our own and call around. Happy valley staff was very friendly and very kind. My dress came in with some loose beading, which was upsetting since it was $1250. I called Eugene and they told me if I had not even tried on my dress and the tags were still attached I could take it down there and they "would see what they could do..." I then called the Happy Valley store who were very kind, apologized for the Eugene stores behavior and sent me a pre-paid shipping label to return the dress to them to have the issue corrected. I then made an alterations appointment at the Eugene location, since that is where I live and with work and family and wedding chaos it was getting difficult to drive two hours to the other location. When I went in the alterations lady was very rude. She seemed annoyed that another worker was not helping her enough or something... I am getting married on the beach and wanted my dress a little long and flowing. As she pinned it myself and my bridesmaids told her it was too short MULTIPLE times and were told she "was the professional and knew what she was doing" and "we should just trust" her. Fast forward three weeks... My dress was not only cut much too short, the line of tulle looked like the hacked it off with an axe and there was extensive beading damage, a bone from the corset not lying flat and sticking out, and one of the appliques was coming off. The alterations manager ended up overnighting me a new dress. When the new dress came in the alterations manager personally did all my measurements and dress work. When I went back in for the final pick up and fitting I was quite upset that the originally alterations person who was terribly rude and ruined my dress was the one to do my fitting. They also used the wrong buttons. We asked for pearls and they used clear. At this point I just wanted to be done with them though so we kept the clear. On top of this nonsense we were not refunded for the alteration fees of $334! or given any compensation at all. Don't waste your time or money going to deal with these completely incompetent people. read more

My experience here was nothing short of the best. I had made an appt a week in advance. When we came in on Saturday morning, they let us know that they accidentally overbooked themselves. We had came in a little early. I had a special situation, I thought I had already found 'the dress' at a different location without my family. But I needed my family there. So when I made my appt I let them know and checked to see if they had that dress in store, which they did. And I let the gal know, when I checked in to keep it hush hush from my family. Since they overbooked we worked with the store manager Christina. She was fantastic to work with. We tried on a dress(which was not the one that I had originally fallen in love with at Tacoma) and we rated it a 9.5. A few dresses later we try on the one from Tacoma. Did not get a wow'd reaction from my family. Put the other one from earlier back on, and that one was the one that we got. We purchased it that day. The purchase process was so easy. Love Christina and love David's bridal in Eugene! Oh and my mother-in-law purchased her mother of groom dress and got 20% off since I had purchased my dress there already. read more

The staff was nice enough, but they seemed to hurry me along although I had an appointment scheduled for an hour and a half. I felt like it wasn't about me at all. Beautiful dresses, horrible customer service. The only reason I'm giving this store 2 stars is for Elizabeth in the alterations department. She was absolutely wonderful! She did a fantastic job altering my dress and she was very personable. When I walked in for my dress appointment, I was greeted with confused faces and an unwelcoming staff. I wanted this day to be special, but instead I felt rushed and not like a bride-to-be. All the other women trying on dresses in the store were given a bell to ring once they found their wedding dress. I never received one. I also felt that the staff helping me were rushing me because the store was busy that day. I did, however, find the perfect dress. I wanted to add a navy blue ribbon to it, but they were out of stock. So they had to order one. The ribbon took 2 months to get to the store, when my dress only took 3 weeks to get in. I had to call multiple times to get an answer as to why a ribbon would take that long to ship. I still don't understand why they couldn't call other stores in the area to see if they had one to ship sooner. There was also mis-communication between the departments in the store. I needed to get my dress altered once it shipped to the store and I had already scheduled an alteration fitting when I ordered it. Once the dress came in, I kept getting phone calls with them asking me to pick up the dress. I kept having to tell them I was getting it altered and that the dress was to remain in the store until my appointment. This store has bad customer service and horrible communication. I do NOT recommend David's Bridal if you're wanting a special experience for find the dress of your dreams. If I could go back in time, I would not give my money to this awful company and I would take my business elsewhere. read more

Diana helped me today and was absolutely amazing! I had a brand new bridesmaid dress from last August that was never worn because the wedding ended up being called off. I tried to return it to a David's Bridal in Portland and they wouldn't allow it. So I've just had this dress hanging in my closet...waste of $160! I'm now in another wedding and have to get another bridesmaid dress from David's Bridal. I went in to this store today hoping they would be a little more understanding than the Portland store and maybe let me exchange it for the new dress I need even though it's been months. Diana was completely accommodating! Looked over the dress and knew it obviously was in perfect condition. She let me exchange it, no problem, and even put the extra $30 on a gift card for me since I was unsure of what else I'd need for the wedding as of now. I had the best experience with her and it made me so much less stressed knowing I didn't have to shell out $130 for another dress. I will definitely be doing any wedding related business with this store! read more

I showed up for my appointment and was helped by Casey who was really sweet and helpful, she actually recommended the dress I ended up choosing and her customer service was great. I did find it odd that after I told her I would come back in a couple days to pay for my dress, her manager was kind of pushing her to get me to get a credit card and made me feel like I was on this deadline to order my dress as quick as possible. I called three days later to pay for and order my dress and was informed none of my appointment information was in their system, they had no idea what dress I chose, my size, nothing. THERE WAS NOTHING SAVED. I was asked if they could try and contact Casey to see if she put my stuff somewhere and they would call me back. I ended up getting online and calling the store back and gave them my dress number and size to order it. I went to the store two days later at 10:45 or so with cash to pay for my dress; the doors were locked and multiple employees saw me try to enter the store and just did nothing. This happened twice before I had to call the store and ask if they were open and have them please come unlock the door. A huge part of me just wanted to leave and go buy a dress somewhere else, another part of me wanted to cry but I had left work to come make sure I ordered my dress so I would have it in time to get alterations done if needed. This whole dress buying experience was already overwhelming for me and my experience with David's Bridal only made it more so. 10/10 grateful I never have to buy a wedding dress again. read more

I had a wonderful time at my appointment, and found a gorgeous designer dress for a great price! The consultant who helped me was fun, friendly and attentive, and she didn't rush me or make me feel bad about myself or my body. I was there for 3 hours, trying on dresses and all kinds of accessories. I found a gorgeous dress that everyone seemed to just adore! Even strangers were telling me how beautiful the dress was, and how beautiful I looked in it! The whole atmosphere was so fun and friendly. The manager joined in and we were all having a great time! If you are plus-sized, or have a limited budget, David's Bridal is a reasonable place to search for your gown. You may be surprised! read more

was trying to give David's Bridal a chance after hearing only negative things about their company...but the chance was taken away as soon as I walked in. I came in as a bridesmaid, without the bride, and they automatically looked at me like I was dumb. I mean, is it NOT okay to shop for a bridesmaild dress without the bride being there? Once they found out I was trying to get an idea of what fit best for my body type, and that I wasn't purchasing that day, the snotty girl helping me didn't help at all. She pulled a couple of dresses for me, and then my mom did the rest. Not only that, but I had to re-hang all of my dresses and basically do everything myself. Why make an appointment with a consultant when she didn't even do anything? Overall attitude of all the employees I encountered was negative, rude, and stuck up. I will GLADLY travel to Portland to find a bridesmaids dress, just as long as I never have to interact with them again. In addition, they are losing all future sales when I get married next year. When I got my bridesmaid dress they didn't have the correct color so I had to wait 2 months to get it. I didn't end up wearing the dress, and when I tried to return it the women who worked there verbally attacked me due trying to return it. The girl at the counter said there were no returns and as I was leaving 2 other girls stopped me and berated me. I had taken no for an answer politely and they wouldn't let it go. Poor customer service. Wasn't acknowledged by staff while I waited for my fiancée to get fit for her dress. There are no chairs in the front of the store which is where my fiancée was. She was taken into a room in the front left part of the store. I just awkwardly stood there, trying to stay out of employees way. There were two registers right in front of the room my fiancée went into with the tailor. Again, no chairs, no acknowledgement from staff, no "it'll probably be like 15 minutes", nothing. So I just decided to lean up against one of the registers and browse my phone. Staff didn't seem to notice and the store wasn't even busy. Finally after hanging out at the register for several minutes I asked one of the employees if there was anywhere to sit. Only then, did they tell me there are chairs at the back of the store next to the dressing rooms. The lack of acknowledgement just gives off the impression of a business that doesn't prioritize customer service. I don't see a reason to do business with a company that doesn't even give acknowledgement to its customers. read more

I'll admit that I had no intention on buying anything here but with the measly selection of Bridal shops in Eugene I went ahead and made an appoint so I could at least get an idea of what I wanted before my appointments at salons in Portland. It was even worse than I expected it to be. The sales people are so unhelpful and the managers are extremely rude. Upon entering the floor manager rudely asked if we had an appointment (which we did!) not that it should have mattered anyway since the place way dead. Obviously you need appointments at nicer salons, but isn't David's the Wal-mart of wedding dress shopping so I would assume they would take walk-ins as well. They actually have a lot of dresses but they are all very similar in style so it doesn't feel like the selection is that big. I felt like they ignored my requests for the type of gown I wanted and just kept bringing me the same style over and over. What I tried on just wasn't my style at all and I wouldn't have even been comfortable wearing them outside let alone at my wedding! The gowns aren't even that well priced everything I tried on was in the thousand dollar range, which and I can and did get a a lot better dress for the money. The worst part was that after my appointment they called me incessantly about future events (which I didn't ask to be called for and obviously wasn't interested in going back there) and would leave rude messages saying that I NEEDED to call them back about the events. Who do they think they are to tell customers that they have to call them back about future sales and bridesmaid dress events? read more

You know, I would have been very skeptical of going to this shop if I'd read the reviews before actually going, and I'm glad I didn't. I went to look for a dress here in November for my wedding in April. The sales people were super friendly and down to earth. They were patient, helpful, attentive, encouraging - had great suggestions, pleasant sense of humor, and my mom, sister and I were all thoroughly impressed. After finding the dress we liked most, one of the seamstresses came out and helped talk about some various options for small alterations / details for the dress, and she, too, was great. Once ordered, the dress arrived in about a month's time (faster than anticipated). They have been super helpful in scheduling (and rescheduling) my fitting. Just wanted to add my 2 cents since my experience has been nothing but 100% positive. read more

My wedding is in 110 days. I went to David's Bridal on May 21st and found the dress that I wanted. I knew I should've gone somewhere else from when they called to confirm 10:30am appointment she told me I had to be moved to a different time because they don't open that early. Well, that's not my fault that your website said differently and allowed me to book the time. The lady who called me ended up calling me back to tell me she was wrong. We ended up getting there and found the dress I wanted however they didn't have it in my size. That's understandable we needed a bigger size. I went and paid for everything in full and asked when my wedding dress would be in, my mother and I were told it should be in around the middle of September. At the end of September I called them to ask where my dress was. They stated there was a delay that it would be in on the 12th of October. We're at the 16th of October and I haven't heard a thing. I called the Eugene Davids Bridal after being on hold for awhile the rep got back on the line and said my dress should be in by the end of the month. No that isn't okay with me at all! So then I call corporate I talk to someone named Jason today. He advised me that my dress isn't in the warehouse or any of the stores. After being on hold for a long period of time he got back on the phone stated he saw where I had purchased the dress but the purchase order was delayed and never got there. Now I'm freaking out have been crying all day thinking that I don't have a dress to wear on my wedding day. This isn't okay and something needs to be done about it ASAP. Needless to say I won't be recommending Davids Bridal to anyone. read more

The sales person told me to get my order in before the Chinese new year because production stops. (I guess at least they let them take a holiday?) I had a wonderful experience at David's Bridal in Eugene. My mom and sister flew out from Massachusetts for a few days to celebrate the engagement and get a head start on wedding planning. Actually we really had no intention of purchasing a dress as the wedding is still 14 months out. Still we made appointments at David's Bridal as well as another Eugene salon. I was blown away at the service we received at David's Bridal. My sister and I are both huge fans of Say Yes to the Dress and kept joking about how clearly those brides don't know you can get similar treatment and selection for a fraction of the price. My consultant Lauren was a delight to work with. All I knew was that I was "having a vintage wedding in a New England farm in October and that I can't pull off a trumpet." And with those instructions she found me the perfect dress. It was the 3rd one I tried on and we all cried. We actually kept the appointment but came back to David's immediately after to compare one we had liked there to the one we loved at David's. Lauren was gone, but the manager Denise was there and was amazing. Dropped whatever she was doing even though we didn't have an appointment. We all agreed this was the dress. Denise even hooked us up with shipping so that it could go to Massachusetts. A couple weeks later when the dress came in, I had to go try it on without my mom and sister before it was shipped east. Denise acted like my stand in family and took pictures. I actually hugged her good-bye. All in all, I highly recommend David's Bridal. i was beyond pleasantly surprised. read more

I went in to help one of my friends pick out a bridesmaids dress for a wedding. Cathie was our stylist and it was a really great experience! We both were able to snag dresses and she really helped my friend feel comfortable with the sizes that she was trying on. I wasn't all that impressed with David's Bridal. On a whim, I looked here to try to find a dress for a town festival. I found a dress that I liked and needed to try it on. While it took a while to finally get a room, they were pretty accommodating and attentive during my visit. However, when I tried the dress on, I discovered that the zipper was broken in such a way that I couldn't zip it all the way up. The dress fit fantastically though, so I knew it was the one. They explained that they would replace the zipper after the dress was purchased at no extra charge and estimated it would take about a week. I agreed and bought the dress. Note that I live in a small town an hour away, so trips to Eugene tend to be a bit of a hassle. They were supposedly going to call me, but never did. I called them the day before I was supposed to pick it up and they said they hadn't even started on it. They never called me back between then and the next day. I came into the store a week after I purchased it, like they said to do. My dress appeared ready, but I decided to try it on again in the store. I'm glad I did, because the zipper was not fixed. Not only did they not replace it like they said they would, but they only made a few stitches near the kink of it in a futile attempt to solve the issue. I talked to a woman from alterations who seemed surprised and upset that someone hadn't fixed the dress when the zipper was, very obviously, still broken. The event I needed it for was the following weekend and, as I said before, it's difficult for me to make trips to Eugene due to living so far away, so I was getting a bit irritated and worried, even though I'm typically a very patient and understanding person. The woman from alterations was very understanding though and promised to have the zipper REPLACED within three days. Thankfully, I had a friend who was in town three days later who was able to pick it up for me. However, the $200+ dress didn't even come with a cover or slip to put over it.. The dress was actually fixed, the zipper was replaced nicely, and it looked beautiful, but it was way too much of an ordeal. In all, the staff was pretty accommodating and understanding, - particularly the seamstress that helped me - but the effort put into repairing the broken dress was awful. In the end, it was altered very nicely, but it shouldn't have been such an ordeal to fix a zipper. I understand that businesses get backed up and busy, but that should not jeopardize the quality of the work, they should not guarantee to do something within a time limit that they cannot do, and they should stick to their word when telling the customer what is to be expected in the outcome of the product (i.e. Agreeing to replace a zipper, but not actually replacing it.).
