Had a great experience here yesterday (Monday Oct 26) and as someone who worked in retail customer service for over 15 years the manager working today was excellent. He helped a gentleman from DC find an outfit his wife wanted him to wear at the same time helping me find a great shirt from a brand I love that is hard to find at retail shop. Thank you Porterhouse for having a retail store where I can try things on from men's brands that are timeless! Please support and buy from your local (or as local as you can get) retail shop! Without retail we have no more try on before you buy! Buy right buy once, harder to do online! Thanks for the experience!

While they are right in saying I didn't read the fine print of the sign, they are not right in assuming I was trying to use their parking lot without going inside. I have always appreciated how they will give you the same pricing as their website, no matter what the sale, and do it with a smile. Not to mention if they don't have your size, they ship you the product for free. I wanted to write this review because of our experience with Lu. When it was time to check out, she greeted us with a smile, asked if we had any questions, and started checking us out. She mentioned there were gift cards that got us an additional $40 off our entire order, and we could purchase and use them that day. This was on top of the store already having 25% off all items. She asked if it was ok, as it would take a few minutes, and we said of course. She kindly chatted with us as the process proceeded and we set up having an item shipped to us they didn't have. She was one of the most pleasant and helpful people we have encounter anywhere. Thank you, Lu, we will be back!

Ever since I had first shopped at a Duluth Trading Company in Colorado on a previous trip, I have…read morebeen wanting to come back to purchase more clothing items (I like to shop in person to try things on, get a feel of the material, etc instead of shopping online). So I was glad to find that there is a Duluth Trading Company in this part of Oregon (there is also a location in Portland). Duluth Trading Company is dog friendly (another reason why I really like this brand). So my husband, our little girl dog and I stopped in a for a visit on a week day night last week. We were greeted immediately when we came in by 2 friendly employees who were putting up Christmas decorations by the front entrance. These 2 employees just loved our little girl and seemed so joyful and delighted when she came in (a normal response that I know others have also experience when they have met our little girl). Then after that, we began browsing the store. My favorite part of the store was the clearance section in the back, by the men's section. I always seem to find things that I like in this section, which is great at the discounted price. And even better than there is no sales tax in Oregon, so I am saving even more (at least that is what I tell myself). Overall, we had a great shopping experience and am sure if I lived in this area, I would shop here more often with our little girl.

And…read moreafter seeing Stephanie's review I made it one of my first stops after I arrived home to visit my family. This is a great store with truly beautiful items. Tatiana, the owner (whose name I hope I didn't misspell but I confess I didn't ask how) is so welcoming, friendly, and passionate about sharing the story of the items she sells. She is eager to help you find the perfect item. Visual merchandising is eye catching and would have made me stop in if I was wandering the area on foot. This store is small but there is a LOT of stuff here: sweaters, ponchos, earrings, little stuffed animals, socks, gloves, a few children's garments, handbags, and more. She mentioned that since the items are handmade, she is unable to give specific/standard sizing, but she's putting in a fitting room area so you can try on. I saw several items that I coveted but I'm fat and they weren't in sizes that would fit me. However, my mom may benefit from the fact that I am unlikely to find something sized for me here, haha. And I did buy her a poncho for starters, which will be a gift from us for Mother's Day. It's so beautiful, and I really think she will love it for those cool but not cold days that we can get here. I'm broad shouldered so the poncho didn't sit on me the way I wanted but I may purchase one at a later time (especially if there are a few that are a tiny bit larger). The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of the garment. I really enjoyed shopping at this store, talking with the owner and meeting her kiddo who was keeping her company there, and exploring her wares. I purchased a little crochet llama for my baby and a friend's baby because they were just too cute. She also included garment care instructions in the bag for the shawl, which is definitely appreciated. I will recommend this to everyone I know and it's great whether you're looking for a gift or something for yourself. I think the future is bright for this adorable little shop. #1700 April 29, 2024
