I had just stepped out of a dissapointing alterations appointment and wasn't really feeling confident in my dress but I still had to go look for a veil. I stopped by David's bridal to look for a veil. Makenna greeted herself to me and I asked if I could try my dress on and try on veils with it and she said yes, which made me so happy seeing as that my dress is not from David's Bridal. She sat me down after I put my dress on to do a cute little half up/half down hair-do so that I could really envision myself on my wedding day. Makenna went the extra mile to find a veil that fit my needs and made me feel confident throughout the whole process. I kept getting compliments after compliments from her other co-workers and that was a confidence booster as well. So, thank you for your patience and helping me pick the perfect veil, Makenna. Even in a pandemic, your dress dreams can come true! While I may have gone in with a specific silhouette in mind, my consultant helped me find the perfect dress. I feel like Veronica lake every time I put it on. But the true magic happened when I went in for my alterations appointment. Now that I was only three months from the big day, I found that I could no longer zip up my dress! No worries, they were able to put a lace-up corset back on my dress. And now I love it even more! I had a strong vision of what I wanted for my wedding dress and didn't have a large party of women with me, so I relied pretty heavily on my stylist, Taylor. My whole experience was great thanks to Taylor, the only reason this isn't a 5-star review is that a lot of the dresses I viewed online Taylor told me weren't available in their store (even though the online dresses said they were available in stores); that isn't her fault, more a flaw in the stock of their store. Also have to add that while I'm used to the traditional sticker price of wedding gowns/dresses being $500+, I found my dream dress for $200 and DB has been offering some really cool options under $500 for those of you with a more frugal mindset. 5/5 stars for Taylor! :) read more

I found my perfect dress at David's Bridal. I worked with Amanda and she was great. She listened to the details I was looking for in a dress and also took time to peek at Pinterest dresses I'd saved on my phone for inspiration. I was actually shocked when she brought out a dress that fit the description of what I was looking for. She knows the dresses in the shop very well! Super glad I ended up with my dream dress and Amanda made the process painless and special. I was able to buy my dress right off the rack too, which I know isn't super common. Holy dresses! I came here (I'm actually here right now writing this review) to watch my friend try in dresses fora ball she's attending next month. Prices seem to go anywhere from $40-$1300. Luckily she found one for $45 lol. If you need a dress and don't know where to turn, check it out. The couches are REAL comfortable. I however am a guy and I do not need dresses.... Do not support this store. They have terrible customer service, especially when you need them the most. This is not a place you want to deal with during the stress and pressure of a wedding. I had two appointments for my wedding yesterday, one was at 10:30 and the other was at noon. They called to confirm the appointments 3 days before, on the day of the appointment we drive 45 mins one way and nobody ever showed up. I ended up live chatting an agent from their website and they said they had no clue why nobody was there and that they should be. We waited almost 30 mins and still nobody came. We ended up going to get something to eat and coming back at noon, still nobody was there. Nobody ever called me to apologize or give me an explanation. I had flown my daughter in from out of state for this appointment and our experience was completely ruined. I have no clue why they called to confirm the appointments if nobody was going to be there in the first place. Don't waste your time coming here, it's obvious that your time and experience doesn't matter to them, they can't even manage to show up to work. read more

The only thing that was off, was the fact that the actual place didn't open until 12! Other than that everything else went quick. I didn't have an appointment and was still treated like a VIP! I had Brie as my stylist and she went above and beyond to help find the perfect dress for my upcoming vow renewal. She was professional and personable and we had a great conversation like we were old friends! She was quick taking my measurements and really listened to what I was looking for. I went in looking for a certain dress they didn't have in the store but she looked in the system to see if it could be shipped to the local store (it was completely out of stock everywhere) but she pulled beautiful dresses still in my price range and even showed me one dress very similar to the one I went in looking for (it was gorgeous, I just didn't want to spend that much money). She was very patient with me as I had to take pics of the dresses and send them to friends back home in another state. She gave me tips and tricks with each dress I tried on and made sure that once I found my dress I got to make a wish and ring the bell! TODAY WAS SUPOSE TO BE THE START OF MANY SPECIAL DAYS OF PLANNING A WEDDING! INSTEAD.... IT WAS THE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! We were prepared to buy her any dress she wanted for her special day! We arrived a few minutes early for our appointment, excited to find a wedding dress for my daughter the bride-to-be.  When arriving and checking in it started off ok for the first couple of minutes. Our party was the only people in the store along with three employees. We  waited for several minutes before asking for assistance since no one was assisting us. We were told not to take the dresses off the rack that someone would come over and help us. So by The time you found a dress then you would have to walk through the store to find an employee and hope to find the dress again.  The empolyees were huddled around eachother chatting across the store each time. Not acknowledging us.  They actually had the audacity to tell us they'll be over in a minute after making us wait for over 5 to 7 minutes, multiple times when we ask for assistance. (They told us to wait on multiple occasions and it wasn't like we were being overly needy either) simply wanted to find a dress. we finally asked what is the procedure on getting assistance and picking out the proper dress. Still no one with explain the procedure  so we were not sure what we were supposed to do .  With little acknowledgement besides being told somebody would eventually be with us when they were standing round talking to eachother. Finally the young man came over and gave bare minimum service, With trying to find the bride to be a dress. Only after  the family starting to get upset is when he started piping up and helping more efficiently. When a couple of the family members tried helping to find a dress (asking the ladies to carry a dress over, since we were not allowed to) the other two ladies were off in a corner chatting instead of assisting again. They treated us like we were a burden. I, the mother of the bride saw a dress that my daughter would really liked (because I know her taste unlike The Stranger that was trying to dress her) I asked the lady to come over and carry it back for the bride-to-be to try on a second lady came over and rudly told me I need to go sit down and let the gentleman pick out the dress for my daughter.  The sizes he picked was picking for the undergarments and dresses were way too small- even after measuring her he was off- he did not know her measurements. What a way to break somebody's self esteem with bringing dresses 4-6 sizes too small (mainly because of their stock only having size 2 or size 18). She's a slender size 10 to 12 a common size.  It was also awkward having a man (Not her husband not doctor) dressing half naked daughter in the dressing room especially when there is two other women available to be able to do it.  That's just part of what happened there is just too much to type. As supportive family to the bride -to-be's, and it being her first experience,  we did the best we could to salvage her day with no thanks to David Bridal employees. The whole situation was rude, disrespectful and we will NEVER SHOP DAVID'S BRIDAL AGAIN!  If I could I would rate it a BIG FAT ZERO! Suggestion on making improvements would be better customer service with friendly employees. More common size options. We liked several of the dresses but we're unable to try them on because they only had size 2 or size 18 and my daughter was a size 10-12. It was not worth our hour and a half drive for several family members and a four hour drive for the matron of honor. After looking online and seeing several beautiful dresses then going to the store and seeing none of those dresses was heartbreaking on top of having crappy service. read more

I went to this David's Bridal location with my sister to look for a dress for her upcoming wedding. From the moment we walked in, we were treated very well. It is very apparent that their primary objective is customer satisfaction, which is a principle that many other stores decide not to espouse anymore. Now let me talk about our stylist , Bri. She was SO sweet, incredibly knowledgeable, and so, so funny (she definitely had some of the best lines I have ever heard! It was hilarious!!) She was also very efficient and really listened and catered to my sister's needs and desires. One of my favorite things she did was she put a dress on her that wasn't like the kind she wanted, all to just "cleanse her palate" as Bri said and give my sister an opportunity to experience a different type of dress, in case it remains that she actually does like the style she has in her mind. Needless to say, she was a pure joy to work with. And for anyone who intends to shop there for a wedding dress, I tell you to request Bri. read more

I went wedding dress shopping with my mom and my best friend. It was my first wedding dress shopping trip and I was 100% not expecting to actually buy a dress since it was my first time out AND I figured the dresses would be more expensive than my budget allowed, even though I knew there was a sale. Since my appointment was on a Saturday, and I knew my consultant would be working with two brides at once, I kind of figured it would be fun to try on pretty dresses, but it would have a factory feel to it. I was so wrong! Not only did Kelsie give me more than enough attention, but she was genuinely kind and funny and simply a joy to work with. She really listened to me about what I wanted and looked at the photos I brought. She humored the three of us and let me try on a bunch of different dresses and let me see what they'd look like with different veils and sleeves and shoes. And all the dresses were totally in my budget. Kelsie was never pushy and she was relaxed, which allowed me to relax. She obviously wanted me to buy a dress right away, but she was also supportive of me and my friend and mom going to get coffee to talk about it. And I ended up coming back an hour later and getting the dress. And ringing the bell. Obviously, the plan is that this is the only wedding dress I will every buy, but if I hypothetically ever bought another dress, I would definitely come see Kelsie! P.S. Rude snippy phone conversation with 'Hailey' after I'd purchased several dresses. I visited the tacoma Washington location and was happy with my service, but my bridesmaid went to this location. I called in to set up payment and confirm when the dress would arrive as well as ask about my last bridesmaid (who has not picked one of 3 dresses yet) and if she still had time since she could not come try on dresses for two weeks. The woman on the phone was obviously rushed and short/nervous, most likely they were busy, but she constantly would instead of answering a question push me off and say they would answer in store when the bridesmaid arrived. It felt a bit like "we already have your money and know you have to buy here so whatever" I'm sure she wanted to rush off and snag commission, but I needed her to check the availability on those dresses! It's the difference of me knowing my girl can get a dress or having to tough talk her into going early.... not fun for me. And this saleswoman was short and snappy by the end of the short conversation. Now I have to call a different location to try and get the answer I need. read more

First off had to go here to get my son measured for Black Tux rental for my brothers wedding. The girl ended up being totally off on sizes. David's Bridal only measures and can't help you any more with the tux rental which is pretty crappy. Bad company to do business with. When we received the rental, I notified Black Tux within 48 hours of size replacements needed. No responses on emails and called and waited on hold multiple times with never an answer. I ended having to buy my son some clothes to replace what was incorrect. Didn't match any of the groomsmen and I'm out the money. Will never use this service again!! I came in for an appointment to try on bridal dresses and all though I didn't find what I was looking for the consultant Lisandra was amazing. She listened to everything I had to say and took it in to find beautiful dresses that almost matched to what I was searching for. It was my first time trying on bridal dresses and she made the experience very comfortable with smooth sailing. I was a bit nervous going in not knowing how the outcome would be but she was an amazing help and very kind! David's Bridal is mediocre in every possible way. I found most of the sales women to be snotty without the slightest clue how to treat customers. The associate that helped me try on dresses seemed well meaning, but a bit clueless and scared. I don't blame her for this, I imagine she didn't get very good training. The selection of bridesmaid dresses was terrible, but then again, are bridesmaid dresses ever good? Selection of bridal dresses is fairly large, but none of them were anything special. I'm really not the princess type, but I did want to feel valued and a bit special when I picked out my wedding dress and in this aspect David's Bridal is spectacularly underwhelming. Not impressed. Good News: David's Bridal has lots of gowns in lots of styles, colors, and sizes for non-bridal customers. Bad News: The likelihood that they will have the exact style/color/size you want in stock is very slim. You can order your favorite style in a different color; which can take up to 8 weeks to arrive in store. Good News: There's a ton of dressing rooms Bad News: Service is underwhelming. There was only one bride when I was in, and despite having at least 3 sales associates on the sales floor, I had to wander around half naked trying to find someone to help zip me into my dresses. This happened about half a dozen times. Good News: None worth mentioning Bad News: Dresses are made of synthetic materials, and many had discrepancies, flaws or damage. I saw broken clasps, loose/broken bead work/embellishments, stitches ripped from underside which made the bust lie uneven, and general mass-produced quality issues. Good News: None worth mentioning Bad News: Corporate Policies. I had 2 dresses I was trying to decide between. I asked if I could put them on hold for 24 hours to return with my fiancee to see which he liked better. Was told they cannot put items on hold. I asked if I could buy both to take home and return the one that would not be kept, and was told that all sales are final and they do not accept returns. Other News: Some of the prices in the store were more expensive than the prices listed on the David's Bridal website, which currently included free shipping. Online orders can be returned, but the process is time sensitive and not necessarily one that is easy or offers no questions asked. Maybe their wedding gowns are nicer, but I wouldn't bet on it. read more

For what it is, David's Bridal is not that bad. I'll grant you that it's the Wal-Mart of bridal boutiques. When you consider how much emphasis the Wedding Industrial Complex places on The Dress, and being "princess for a day," many brides might be disappointed at David's Bridal. You will not be served champagne in a luxurious salon with beautiful fresh flowers. You will also be spending hundreds less on a dress you will wear for one day. I got engaged in March 2010 and was planning on a July 2010 wedding. Knowing how much time it can take to alter a gown, I went shopping almost immediately. As a plus size woman, I knew my options would be limited in most bridal boutiques. My budget was similarly limited. So, David's Bridal it was. In contrast to the other reviewers, I actually had a positive experience. The consultant who helped me was friendly and attentive, and she did not rush me or make me feel bad about myself or my body. I found a lovely dress that made everyone squeal with excitement when I walked out of the dressing room. Is it a beautiful silk gown hand-sewn by Vera Wang? No, but it will look pretty in pictures, it fit, and it didn't bust the budget. If you are plus-sized, or have a limited budget, David's Bridal is a reasonable place to search for your gown. Keep your expectations in check about what you will find and what the gown shopping experience will be like (avoid "Say Yes to the Dress" beforehand), and you may be pleasantly surprised. Bonus: if you have a short engagement or need to buy a dress in a hurry, you are likely to be able to take a dress home the same day, avoiding the months-long wait at other boutiques. read more

The ladies who run this place are PROFESSIONALS. They love what they do, and they give everything they have to make sure the customer does too. It's a difficult job, and working with brides/special occasion people can't be easy. I know, I got married last year and as easy as I am to please I was still a little crazy-town. The ladies at David's bridal make the whole process simple. They help you pick the perfect dress (and if what you want doesn't exist, they pull out their wizard friends from alterations to get you what you WANT) they help you finalize your color palate making all of your Pinterest dreams come true They have bridesmaid dresses in every color shape and size so if you're like me and want 9 dresses for 9 entirely different women (I'm talking size 0-16, red head to dark skin here) they've got you covered. Just remember to order early, some of my girls slacked off and ended up with different dresses. Nbd, the folks at David's went out of their way to find me what I needed. And to top it all off, the whole staff is incredibly sweet and hard working. Oh AND alterations is amazing, they guarantee the work. I ended up buying my wedding dress here as well as my wedding shoes (which were then dyed for me). I started looking for a dress six months in advance of my wedding. We set up an appointment - which I think is an absolute must. We scheduled on a Thursday evening to avoid the busy weekend rush. It was still very crowded with brides trying dresses on. I felt very anxious in the setting. The manager Christina noticed how anxious I was getting and took me to a separate part of the store to try dresses on. She was very calming and kind. She helped me pick out my dress- which is absolutely beautiful and a way better price than at any of the other stores we looked at. The dress came in a timely manner and the fitting was easy. I purchased my wedding dress from David's Bridal at the end of last year for my wedding this July. My dress came in and I picked it up, brought it home and put it in the closet. Along about March, I had my daughter come over so I could try it on and see how it fit and to start the arrangements of getting it altered. The fit was tragic. We could barely get it zipped and I was spilling out in places that I won't even mention. I couldn't walk in it let alone put my shoes on. I stressed for another couple weeks trying to figure out what I was going to do as there was no amount of altering that would fix the issue. I decided to take the dress to back to see if they could do anything for me. At first the answer was no, we cannot exchange it. I was crushed. The manager (sorry don't know her name) said let me take a look at the dress. She unzipped the bag and could see that I had never worn it and it had been stored very well. She told me that I had taken very good care of the dress and she would definitely exchange it for me. The young ladies working there went to work immediately finding me the perfect dress to exchange the original for. They were awesome. We found the perfect dress got it ordered. My dress came in, I went to my alteration appointment and the dress fit perfect. The only alteration is hemming it. I couldn't be happier with my dress and I am ready for my special day. One rude, careless employee can completely spoil an otherwise positive experience. This was the case at this business. My daughter is normally outgoing and bubbly but was anxious and insecure about shopping for her first wedding dress. Since I would be visiting Eugene from out of state in February, she scheduled her initial appointment to coincide with my visit so that she would not have to go alone. When we walked in, we were met by smiling, friendly staff. My daughter's consultant listened to her needs and made her feel completely comfortable with her body image, budget and style choices. She was supportive, funny and very accommodating, doing her best to find exactly what we were looking for. My daughter and I were both impressed with the level of customer service and overall pleased with the experience. Until her final fitting this week. The alteration employee, in assisting her into the corset undergarment, said "there's no way this is going to fit." As I said, this was a CORSET, it is supposed to be tight by design. I would assume someone who works with corsets on a regular basis would understand this.... She then went on to actually tell my daughter "you're not going to be able to breathe." and "you are going to be so hot under all these layers." As a plus size customer, clothes shopping has not always been a pleasure for my daughter. In the past, dressing rooms have been a place for self doubts and tears. THIS dressing room is the absolute last place for those feelings. THIS was a time for joy and excitement. THIS was a time to delight in how beautiful she is and how radiant she was going to look in her dress on her wedding day. However, this unkind employee's rude and insensitive attitude robbed my daughter of all that. The inconsiderate and harsh comments (concerning alterations that were supposed to be done correctly by her or by her department, by the way) were unprofessional, absolutely uncalled for, and sadly, ruined an otherwise positive experience. read more

I have always had great experiences with the ladies at David's bridal, but so far my most positive has been with Kylee. My friend Bekah brought me with her to try on a wedding dress that she had seen on the website and Kylee was quick to find it and bring it to her. When Bekah asked to see any similar dresses, Kylee brought a dress that Bekah ended up falling in love with and deciding it was THE dress. She then helped her accessorize and was spot on in her suggestions for shoes, a belt, and a veil. She really listened to what Bekah was envisioning and absolutely nailed her style. My friend and I are a bit... um... enthusiastic when we are together and Kylee was great about just letting us be us while being attentive and friendly. I never felt like she was too pushy or too distant. Overall, we had a wonderful time and I feel like Kylee was quietly responsible for it going so very well. read more

When you walk in there is a person standing at a desk and we were not greeted or asked if we needed help. We had an appointment and one of use ended up asking her what we needed to do. We got a consultant who immediately told us she was new and hoped to hear a bell from us; it came off a little pushy and needy. She said it a couple more times throughout the appt. They have 3 sections where you can try on dresses to show your friends and family. In these areas there are walls of mirrors. We were given a dressing room and we asked where we were supposed to try on our dresses because the 3 areas were already taken. The consultant told us we would share it with another bride. We asked why and if they had overbooked, she said no it was just a busy time and it was normal. She did not ask the other bride or our bride if that was alright. What woman wants to share this special moment with a total stranger? We refused to share the space and talked with the other family and they were weirded out as well. We made our own area up in a corner by opening the dressing room door for privacy. The consultant was nice but she didn't know what she was doing and kept pulling the wrong dresses we didn't want or like. She eventually had the store manager come over and she seemed really nice and helpful but quickly we could tell she was being a little too assertive towards. Everyone wanted to get out of there but we needed to look at bridesmaid dresses. The consultant ended the appt and we moved on to bridesmaid dresses. We all had dresses picked out and then we went to get a room and no one would help. We asked the girl at the front and she said someone will be around soon. They didn't. We had to ask another consultant for a room and she said it was her first day and walked away. We ended up going back to where we had been before. It was an overall frustrating experience and we would have been better off going to an actual salon. I know someone from Davids Bridal reads these reviews so here is my advice for you: set up some curtains for privacy. No one likes nosey people next to them eavesdropping and staring. It's not okay. Your customers deserve privacy and to be doted on, not to share space with a stranger. We will be taking our business to another location from here on out if we even decide to come back. read more

Don't waste your time. These jerks aren't worth your time, nor are they worthy of wasting your emotions. I'm a size 18/20. I was thrown an unfocused, uninterested and insensitive employee. I was given the "up-down" the second I walked in. My attendant continuously handed me size 12, no, I'm not embelishing the truth, size 12 dresses to "try on" and had to deal with numerous insults about my best friend's choices in bridesmaid dresses. As if it's my fault they don't carry a range of sizes, or that my friend dear friend is at fault for selecting a variety of dresses they supposedly carry. My careless and rude attendant had me step out in front of a group of strangers to stare at me in a dress that did not even remotely fit because it was 6 sizes too small! She even laughed while she "attempted" to zip me up. I will NEVER return to David's Bridal and will encourage my friends to do the same. read more

I am not thrilled with my experience at David's bridal. I came in for a bridesmaid dress for my teenager and was talked into getting an adult dress in a size 0 which did not come close to fitting once it arrived. The alterations to get it fitting were going to cost more than the dress ($145). It was very frustrating as I'm sure the lady who was helping her knew that it would need extensive alterations. The only reason I gave this 3 start is that I called to voice my concern and the manager allowed her to come back in and get a different dress that actually fit. read more

Anything less than that, and the remainder would go towards helping the bridesmaids with their dresses, or towards the bachelorette party. After trying on some dresses, the consultant put my daughter in a dress that is over budget. Of course that is the one my daughter loves. She and I argued, and it has ruined any joy in the experience. IF I do still buy my daughter her dress, it will not be from this consultant. I'm a plus size bride, typically a size 16 and they had a good selection of dresses for me, which is something I was worried about. My issue with this particular store is the bait and switch we experienced upon checkout. My daughter was told the dress was one price. When we went to check out and order it, it was a hundred dollars more. She had "misspoke." Her manager authorized fifty dollars off, but not the full $100 . (However, the manager did not come up front to confirm this.) I have contacted corporate on three separate occasions, and keep getting this answer, in the form of the same basic letter, from three different employees. "Hello Mari, Thank you so much for contacting David's Bridal. My name is Cortney, and I love Harry Potter. I am here to make your event magical. We are truly sorry for all of the time you have waited while we work on get this resolved. We appreciate your patience. No family privacy, not intimate, multiple families in one area. We felt like we were at Walmart trying on dresses.

I went into the Eugene, OR David's Bridal a week and a half ago with my Mum, Grandmother and Aunt who were only up for a few days from California and it was the only time before my wedding in October that we were going to be together for them to be with me to try on dresses. We walked in and were told there were no appointments ava...looking around there were open rooms and consultants standing around. Needless to say, I never got to try on any dresses and my Aunt and Grandmother will not be able to be with me to try on dresses now. I was so extremely dissappointed and upset. The consultant up front said she had something opening up that afternoon and promised to call for the time. I gave her my name and number and she never called... So SAD!!!!! read more

Avoid at all costs! I am not kidding! Please read this! These people will be somewhat kind until they swipe your credit card then they turn nasty, unhelpful, and downright rude. The manager is the worst offender. I had a bridesmaid dress ordered and it was a disaster! I am a very easy-going and patient person but these people made me want to go into battle mode. I got different stories about my order from everyone I spoke with. At the eleventh hour the dress arrived but was a mess! The dress was sent to my bridesmaid in a wrinkled ball, was not cut right, the pleats were all uneven... It looked horrible! It was barely the same dress she tried on in the store! Even the last minute alteration and steaming didn't help. It was a disaster and we were stuck with it. Oh yeah. No refunds at David's bridal!!! Hmmm... Too many unhappy customers and had to get rid of the return policy perhaps?! And now let's talk about my alterations. I got my dress back a week after being measured. I put it on after they took it in and all of a sudden it was two sizes too small and the bustle was horrid!!!! They even tried to blame me for gaining weight!! Really?! In a week!!!??? 2 sizes ( I was losing weight on Jenny Craig). Only after threatening to sue them did they make it right... And not very nicely!!! Please drive an extra 100 miles or go to another shop (unless you like being treated rudely and having the centerpiece of your wedding ruined)! Avoid these people at all costs!!!!! read more

This place is god awful. My girlfriends and I went in to look for the white by Vera Wang line. We asked one of the employees to help us just to ask about it. She said she would be right back and never did. She walked by us a few times even and didn't come up to us... Weird and awkward. I went in another time and no one says hi to you as you walk in, or approaches you when you look like you might need some help. Avoid this place at all cost read more
