Our favorite place for authentic & delicious Chinese food! Have been going here for years and have never had an issue. The waitstaff are extremely attentive to your needs.

Over the years, we've been to David Chens and have always enjoyed it. We had not visited for a while and thought we'd visit. The parking lot seemed quite empty despite the time (5pm). Inside looked as beautiful as always. There were three occupied tables when we arrived. We were quickly seated and brought hot tea and menus. I chose chicken with cashew nuts and my husband had the shredded spicy pork. My dish seemed a bit dried which was strange, but otherwise tasted ok. My husband's dish was not spicy and he said tasted almost sweet. He only had a few bites and refused to eat more. He was afraid the pork was bad. Our waiter was pretty much MOA during the meal. When he did finally appear, my husband told the waiter he didn't like his dish and did not want to take it home. The waiter didn't seem to care. Not what we had ever experienced before at David Chen. They must have changed chefs, which is a pity. We will Not be going back any time soon. Oh and when we left, the place was still empty looking.

The BEST Chinese food in Westchester!!! The boneless spare ribs are to die for as well as the cold noodles. The staff is always a pleasure.

Friendly service which is rare for a Chinese Restaurant. Food is very good. Better than most NYC Chinese Restaurants.

From the moment you arrive, the elegant décor and inviting atmosphere create a welcoming setting for a special meal. The food is fresh, flavorful, beautifully presented, and infused with authentic Chinese character. Warm, attentive, and professional service completed the experience. Whether you're enjoying a family dinner, celebrating a special occasion, or simply seeking an exceptional meal, O Mandarin is well worth a visit. A true gem--we'll definitely be back!

The…read morerestaurant itself has a great ambiance, a little dark (in a good way), and probably great at night. The service was excellent, with not only our waiter helping, but food runners and bussers assisting as well. And the food was delicious! The soup dumplings were delicious- I think I could just eat a big serving of those. My seafood hotpot was full of wonderful shrimp, scallops and much more, all very tasty. They said it would be "spicy", but it really wasn't very, so if you don't like extremely spicy food, you'll be ok (But maybe ask them for it to be a little spicer than normal if you do like very spicy food). I would recommend a visit ASAP! Don't wait for years like I did. I missed out!

The food wasn't bad--it was simply mediocre and underwhelming. The biggest issue was that several dishes were underseasoned and lacked the bold flavors I expect from a good Cantonese restaurant. The Yang Chow fried rice was especially bland and needed more seasoning. The har gow and several of the dim sum items also fell short of expectations. The steamed spare ribs and beef chow fun were okay but nothing memorable. The salt and pepper shrimp was probably the highlight of the meal, but it wasn't unique or better than what I've had at many other Chinese restaurants. Overall, the food was decent, but considering the restaurant's reputation, I expected much more. I don't regret trying it, but I wouldn't make a special trip back.

However, the rest of the broad and deep menu is excellent as well. The rich Sweet Corn Chicken Soup is sweet, thick (but not gummy) and quite tasty. The pan fried dumplings were outstanding. They were perfectly cooked and well stuffed with minced pork and veggies. The Honey Walnut Shrimp were amazing - plump and perfectly dressed. Finally, the Sesame Chicken was amazing. Perfectly cooked but the best thing is that the chicken was moist, rich and flavorful. So, if we're ever back in White Plains, you know where we'll be dining.
