I made last min reservation to come in with my husband cause I was super hungry. I've been craving beef carpaccio so I was happy they offered that in the menu. We both ordered the straight flush cocktail and it was good. We opt for the pre fixe menu my husband got the prime rib and I got the braised short rib. We both also had a soup I liked my French onion soup he had the clam chowder the cheesy popover was also good taste kinda like a croissant but it was hollow inside but it was good I shouldn't have eaten so much I didn't finish most of my entree I had to take it home and the dessert but overall great place to dine will definitely come back again maybe with kids cause I like the complimentary cotton candy they give and I know my kids would love that part. Our waitress was very nice and attentive but I don't remember her name. read more

Beautiful place. Came for Mother's Day - service great! Food was ok. I ordered the prime rib it was very lack luster. Lobster mashed potatoes had no flavor, very disappointing. French onion soup was good. Clam chowder was just ok. Point is, nothing was mind blowing, well except the bill. Which of course was no surprise. For the cost, I'd just try the many other options at the casino. read more

I enjoyed this steakhouse. I really did. But I cannot give them higher than a 3.5. And that's not a bad thing. At the end of the day, this place is a sellout. A luxurious billboard. But I expected that. Of course the interior was grand and beautiful, as expected from any steakhouse that's lodged into a gigantic casino. Unfortunately, Service was very slow. I also felt like the menu was way too long. Overpriced like crazy , but then again, it's a steakhouse in a goddamn casino. What the heck did I expect. The servers were very nice though. I enjoyed their efforts. I went with the 18 ounce dry aged ribeye , with a side of "whipped potatoes" . I also got a side of Béarnaise sauce, which was SIX dollars. And it came slightly cold. Get outta here with that. But it's okay, because it tasted good. Anyways, the ribeye was cooked perfectly, and had the classic dry aged flavor that I was looking for. A beautiful steak to say the least. I cannot be upset about the steak. I honestly loved it. Unfortunately, the "whipped potatoes" were literally the same thing as your classic "Idahoan" brand instant mashed potatoes that you can purchase at your local grocery for 2.49$. And I'm not even kidding. Same exact taste, texture. Not sure who they're fooling. Not me. They charge 14$ for a small plate of them. Absurd. Anyways, steak was great, everything else was ehhhh. Not a bad place to go though, if you're looking to let loose and throw some additional money while you're gambling . Cheers. read more

So overrated. The items that needed salt were not flavorful and the items that had salt had way too much of it. Our server was really nice but not knowledgeable about food. read more

The food here was really good and I left the restaurant absolutely stuffed. My family went to Foxwoods for Father's Day and my grandmother's birthday so we were there on a Sunday, which is when they have their pre-fixe menu available. It was $44 for an appetizer, entree, and dessert, so it was definitely a big meal. They first came out with some popovers, which I thought was nice and really unique. I'm not a big popover fan, and would much prefer some warm crusty rolls, BUT as far as popovers go these were pretty good (and huge) and I liked how it was different than what you get in basically any other restaurant. Then I had my appetizer, which was a meatball with ricotta and some other meat pieces in the sauce (sausage and another beef I think). The flavor was pretty good, but the meatball was weirdly tough on the outside, and I'd prefer my meatballs to be consistently firm but still soft throughout. It was large and filling, though, and had a delicious piece of bread on top. Meanwhile, my brother had a Caesar salad (not an option on the fixed menu, so he ordered separately) that they made right in front of him. He said it was the best he'd ever had and we all thought having it made in front of us was a fun touch. For my meal I had a filet mignon with spinach. The filet had a little too much hard, burned crust on the outside for my liking, but was otherwise very good and flavorful. The spinach was excellent - it had garlic and dried tomatoes and tasted amazing. It definitely paired well with the steak. For dessert I had crème brûlée that was really delicious. The top wasn't overly toasted which I liked, and it was really rich. They also brought out a little bouquet with cotton candy which was so cute and pretty. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel like it's a little overpriced. I think part of that has to do with it being located in a casino. The food was definitely good, but even at the pre-fixe level I still feel like it was a little beyond what you would want to pay for the food - I wasn't necessarily mind blown. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here if I wasn't already at the casino, but it's a good option if you're looking for that type of meal while you're there, so I'd still recommend checking it out. read more

Super nice! Came with a friend when we were in town for her birthday. The cocktails are great and we had a shrimp and bacon starter, so delicious! Our server, Michelle, really sold us on the delicious dry aged steaks. The wagyu was delicious (a bit pricey) but definitely worth it. My friend got an aged sir loin...PERFECTLY COOKED. We were stuffed, and didn't order dessert, but Michelle was such a sweetheart to bring one out for her birthday! Overall, such a lovely time, and amazing service. Loved loved loved this place! I was staying at Mohegan sun and made reservations for a restaurant that was cancelled last minute...so I was trying to figure out where to go last minute. I found this place and made a reservation on open table. Although it was my second default choice...their noting second place about this restaurant. The service was impeccable and the food everything you could expect from a high level steak house. I had the pre fix meal, that comes with a appetizer/dinner and dessert for $54. I chose the wedge salad, Rib eye & cobbler. The food was delicious, hot and fast. And afterward they give a little surprise which was great! Highly recommend! I normally get a small filet, medium rare + side of mushrooms. However, I opted for some type of big-daddy meat. I went bone-in ribeye for a super fatty delicious chunk of happiness. Did i need that? No. But did I need room service, spa treatments, and boubon drinks ×8? Probably no again. But if boys want girls to smile so damn much, we've got needs. Okurrrrrt? Amazing meal from start to finish. The inside is very beautiful and the wine tower is stunning. The waitresses were very attentive throughout the whole meal. The meal started with the cheesy bread. They give you a generous size piece that's warm out of the oven. The drinks we ordered were all really good and strong. The waitress recommended a drink that my husband and I both really enjoyed. Then, I had the lobster bisque which was one of the best I've ever had! Creamy and delicious! I ordered the scallops as a main with cauliflower mash and I loved every bite. We were too full for dessert but I'm sure that was amazing as well. At the end of the meal they put cotton candy on the table which is a nice touch. We will definitely be coming back! read more

5 stars. I wish I could give more. We came to the casino for a overnight and picked this place by chance. It was OUTSTANDING! From the ease of making our reservation online, getting seated, the wine suggestion and most important, our waitress. Excellent. At the end of our meal she asked what brought us to the casino. No special occasion. We missed out on having 50th birthdays, or big anniversary parties. So she brought us cake and ice cream on the house. Amazing. read more

So truth be told, it's probably closer to 4.5 stars but here's the thing: it just felt somewhat uninspired. A little too mass produced. And mass serviced. That is not to say it isn't good. It is. Very good in fact. Lemme explain. We got in late on a weekend night. And we got seated with a waiter who was busy taking care of another larger table that just got seated. Guess who got ignored for a while? Not our waiters fault totally but the front of the house shouldn't do that. We waited on our drinks and then for the other table to place their long order. The waiter had none of the usual banter -- for good and for bad-- so we just placed our order. Got the French onion soup which I enjoyed. Nice and cheesy. Not too salty. But you come here for the steaks. They are not cheap but they are excellent. I got the 18oz ribeye. It was cooked perfectly and was rich and flavorful. Lots of juicy goodness in each bite. Friend got the Bronx cut of filet which had a bone. Good stuff. The sides, while expensive, were fine. Not bad but not quite amazing too. Finish it up with cotton candy and it was a good though expensive meal. Just a little too corporate. read more

Food is decent, service wasn't so bad, took a little bit for the food to come out. As well as it being quite overpriced. After you write your first review, lengthy for all the wrong reasons and the first review was not for this restaurant but another one at Foxwoods, this one will be short and sweet. Ate at Prime Monday night, table of 2. Prime Rib, scallops both with their accompanying sides along with a side of mashed potatoes and onion ring tower. Beverages were great, appetizers consisted of Shrimp cocktail, onion soup and baked clams. Cheese cake with berries and chocolate cake. Great meal, spectacular service headed by a team led by Carlos made it even better. Tuesday, hmmmmmm, what to do for lunch ? David Prime again, Great Mai Tai's, burger and beef dip sandwich both with fries + an additional side of fries and a shrimp cocktail. Great lunch and can not say enough about the bar tender, Daniel who waited on us. Both times food, beverages and staff could have actually used another star or two. As they say, you get what you pay for and they deliver on that ! Don't miss this restaurant on your trip to Foxwoods !!! read more

Dinner for four this past Saturday night. Three steak dinners and one lobster dinner. Here's a list of all the problems: 1. Sparkling water served warm, not chilled. 2. Two steak dinners were wrong and had to be sent back to be corrected. 3. Steak dinners were served luke warm, not hot. 4. Side orders were served luke warm, not hot. 5. Side orders were terrible, tasted like they came out of a bag. 6. Lobster dinner was actually cold in the center, like it came out of the fridge, and had to be sent back. 7. No apologies or explanations given on why every single thing was WRONG with our dinners. This place was no better than a Ponderosa Steak House. The atmosphere si like eating in a cafeteria, the entire front of restaurant is open to casino mall, people and very loud. Save your money and time and eat somewhere that has good food and not so pretentious. read more

That was a punch in the gut!! I've been waiting for 6 months to get back here for my absolute favorite, King Crab Legs! I'm not sure why any restaurant would throw 15-20 sprigs of thyme on top of king crab legs that are served on a crackling hot pan. (We pushed all of the thyme to the edges of the tiny pan but you can see them in this picture) These were the saddest excuse for king crab I've seen since Providence Oyster Bar. They were inedible in so many ways. The only flavor we could taste was the overwhelming aroma of thyme that had seared into every bite of crab. It was dry and stuck in the shell and was so thin, it was next to impossible to get a decent bite. If there are baby king crab legs, then that's what it seemed like. We basically couldn't eat any more then the one bite each, the strong taste of thyme lingered in our mouths the rest of the evening. That was such a huge disappointment and waste of 3 hours of just driving to go there for just that reason. We left there starving and had to go find another place to eat after spending $125 on an app, salad and 3 drinks here. Thankfully they took off the "one pound" of crab legs or it would have been well over $200. I refuse to order King Crab Legs again anywhere without seeing them FIRST!!! And do not allow them to put Thyme on yours if you order these, it completely ruins the whole dish and rest of your night. ‍ read more

This review is based on the bar only because I only had a drink and not the food.. So my first impression of the place was like wow this is fancy and pretty! Pink Himalayan salt decor all over, an impressive wine tower, perfect lighting.. It had it all going on. Staff was dressed professional and our bartender was decently friendly. We both had a patron/pineapple and it was $40..for two drinks!!! Daamnnn that wasn't worth it, sorry. I enjoyed it don't get me wrong but I left without even a slight buzz!!! I'd expect atleast a double shot for that price but it was weak. Also, people on either side of us had sent their food back (unrelated people) 2 separate parties. Not sure what that was about, the food looked good but that's just what I witnessed for sitting there for 15 minutes. I'd give them another shot, as long as I'm not the one paying :-p read more

Kayla S was an amazing server. Very personable and attentive! Food drinks and atmosphere was great as per usual!

We used to love going to Vue 24 at Foxwoods. Now that it is gone, David Prime is their "fine dining" option. The wine selection is good, but their house wine is not great. As far as the food goes, I felt like I was paying steakhouse prices for outback quality. Everything was subpar, bland and our aged ribeyes were only about a 1/2 inch thick. There was nothing fine dining about this place and I hope foxwoods adds something nicer by the next time we are there. read more

Came here for dinner the evening after Christmas with some friends. Great food. Service was also good. They start you off with popovers, which I loved! It is so uncommon to see popovers at a restaurant so this was a pleasant surprise. The Caesar salad was surprisingly amazing!! They made it tableside!! Homemade dressing and everything! It was more exciting than any of the steaks that were ordered. They also have a bacon appetizer that comes on a clothesline. It is so Smokey and delicious. It is pricey so make sure you win big when you're in the casino. I would highly recommend this place! Easy to get a table at too! read more

So, we didn't get steak at a steakhouse because we just had it last night. Their chicken pasta was pretty good. Generous amount of chicken, pasta, veggies, and sauce for their lunch portion. We came here for our 16 year anniversary! The bacon app. was the best part of our meal sadly. We ordered 10oz Filet Mignon's & Lobster Tails. My husbands steak was not cooked properly, and needed to be sent back! The mashed potatoes were horrible tasted like instant mashed potatoes with a pound of butter, the French fries tasted like cheap fast food fries. Overall for what you are paying I expected it to be much much better then it was. We were better off at Outback honestly. The service was good until one of the servers kept pushing us to get more food once a few things were returned even though we declined several times. Overall it was a very bad experience, especially on such a special day! We definitely won't be going back! read more

Sub-prime This place is a lot of sizzle, but doesn't really deliver on the flavors for the price. Came here for a birthday dinner with some friends. The waiter was very good...attentive for such a large party, and helped answer a lot of questions. I started my night with a vodka martini and asked for blue cheese olives...not on the menu but they delivered here. Really well done...$18 a pop for these. Appetizers included the calamari and one of the specials - meatballs made with the dry aged steak. Calamari was ok, but nothing special. The meatballs should be on the menu...really tasty with the manchego cheese and marinara. For the bread they serve a popover, and serve it with a slab of butter on a pink salt block. The look was excellent, but just tasted kind of bland. Maybe my expectations are too high, but would have expected something a little more flavorful at this place. The butter was boring...tasted like they unwrapped a pad of Kerrygold and put it on salt. I went with the 40 day dry aged ribeye for dinner. At $59 you obviously expect to be blown away. While the portions of actual steak were excellent, there was a ton of fat on this thing...not sure if I got at more than 6-8 oz of actual steak on it. And again, not dressed in any unique way...just here's your piece of steak. I added a side of carmelized onions, and tasted someone else's horseradish cream (both $5 adds), and these helped add a little something to it. Where's that unique spin that's going to make me remember this experience for years to come? Perhaps most disappointing was the side of fries. This were so pedestrian...something you could get just about anywhere. Served with Heinz ketchup and an extremely spicy mustard. A $12 side that I am completely underwhelmed by. This is your classic Prime steakhouse where they expect you to be excited about the fact it is "Prime", but they really aren't doing anything to make it a memorable dinner. I've had a lot of steakhouse dinners that have been tremendous and always on my list of best dinners I've had, but this isn't going to be one of them. It was fine, but at $240 for 2, it had better be remarkable and this just didn't do it for me. read more

I've lived in Connecticut for 12 years, now, and the steak I enjoyed at David Burke Prime, yesterday, was the best I've had in the state. I used to enjoy David Burke Primehouse in Chicago, but that restaurant is, sadly, gone. However, I now know that I have an excellent version of it in my backyard. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with high ceilings a multi-story atrium wine cellar. The servers on my visit were Marcus and Molly, and they were both terrific. I wanted a bottle of Amarone, but because I was unfamiliar with the different wines on offer, I asked Molly to suggest one. The Tommasi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2009 that she recommended was absolutely delicious. I've had dry-aged ribeye flights at Primehouse in Chicago with 40-, 55- and 75-day dry-aged steaks, so I knew to order my preferred steak, which is the 55-day cooked medium rare. It was a beautiful piece of meat, cooked to perfect temperature and nicely charred in the outside. The chef must follow the tradition of basting steaks in meat butter, because my steak glistened like a tender, delicious steak should. The creamed spinach I had on the side was good, but had more cream sauce and less spinach than I prefer. And the blue spun sugar that Marcus brought to the table for dessert was a fun touch. I'll be back for another meal, again. Soon. Writing this has made my mouth water. read more
