Stopped in for dinner before a show. Snagged a spot at the bar. They were busy. It took a long time to get the food and plates from the previous guest cleared away. Ordered wine, chowder, and Caesar salad with shrimp. The couple next to me got a Caesar salad and it looked really sorry- I was regretting my order. The wine was a very heavy pour. The chowder was fantastic- filled with both clams and potatoes. I asked for some bread as I had misgivings about the salad. It arrived with 3 very large grilled shrimp. Unfortunately the chef never had a good Caesar salad before- they would have never served this limp tasteless lettuce if they had. I had a few bites and gave up. So hard to make a bad salad but they did.

    Prime Rib Sandwich

My wife and I were hungry for lunch at the casino . We looked at the menu and decided to eat here . The servers were knowledgeable and very personable. The prime rib sandwich was very tender and tasty. I had the lobster roll that was loaded with fresh lobster. It must be a good place because Jay Leno was eating here also at the same time!!!

Tomahawk steak, whipped potatoes, and mac and cheese

Came here for a birthday dinner, the ambiance was nice but the service was average. The food was only slightly above average, not quite worth the price (except for the mac and cheese, that was great). Whipped potatoes especially were average, they needed salt pretty badly. Overall the experience was good however I feel like there are better options at Foxwoods at similar price points.

Superior service. Our waitress was one of the hardest working ever! Constantly filling our drinks and hustling for our food. Enjoyed the ribeye. Good portion size and great Caesar's salad. The sides were excellent. Steak was cooked just right. Desserts were a bit smaller and the only flavor of ice cream was vanilla. Still excellent steakhouse.

Prime rib and french fries. Entree came with a popover.

Cedars has been at Foxwoods for many years and has not lost its touch. We were in the area on a Saturday night and decided to go to the casino for dinner. We were lucky to get a timely reservation. We were seated promptly. The one negative was our waitress did not tell us about the evening specials and we wouldn't have known they existed had we not heard the waiter at the table next to us telling his table about them. We didn't order appetizers, just entrees and side dishes. My husband and I both ordered prime rib. I opted for the roasted brussel sprouts. The sprouts were well cooked and loaded with pieces of meaty bacon. The entrees came with popovers, which aren't a favorite of ours. I broke a piece off to try it, but left the rest of it behind. We were both happy with our meals and the holiday decor was absolutely beautiful. We will be happy to return in the future.

    My "medium" filet

Was seated and within a few minutes our waitress cane over, mumbled something and scurried off. It was another 20 minutes before we saw her again. She took our drink order and came back 10 minutes later. We took advantage of that and placed our order and asked for extra butter for our bread. 5 minutes later we received ketchup for our bread. It was then a 35 minute wait for our food which was underwhelming and under cooked. She offered to take my very rate (ordered medium) filet back but I was afraid I may never see it again. She then asked if I would like a refill of my drink... 30 minutes later that never came and we begged for our check as we were seeing a show and had been there for an hour and 40 minutes, no apps just entree. She offered dessert on the house for my mooing filet and we declined, three times. No credit on the bill for the filet issue. Save yourself $200 (for 2 steaks and 2 sides one cocktail).

The ambiance at Scorpion Bar is nice. The lightening is nice and the decor is cool. My friend ordered a mango mojito and I ordered a virgin mojito which was surprisingly very tasty and refreshing. It did take a while for our food order to be taken. One of the bartenders said she would come back to take our food order after finishing a round of drinks, but then never came back so we had to ask another bartender to take our order after about 10 minutes of waiting. We ordered the nachos with ground beef. Those were pretty good, I liked how cheesy they were. For our main meal, we decided to get two tacos each and the birria quesadilla. The tacos were good! My favorite was the Baja fish taco. It was very flavorful and one of the best fish tacos I've had in CT. I was disappointed in the birria quesadilla. It was just OKAY. It was pretty pricey for just the quesadilla and no sides. I didn't think the meat was seasoned enough. The last item we got was the fried ice cream for dessert. We got it because the bartender said it was a large portion and was pretty good. It was NOT that goood. It was extremely large...like almost too big. The fried dough that covered the ice cream was very sugary and wasn't warm and the ice cream was very plain. I would not recommend. Overall, I think if you are looking for a restaurant at the casino with good ambiance, good drinks and decent food, I would recommend Scorpion Bar.

The place is loud, flashy, and absolutely convinced it's the main character... even if the food is giving more supporting cast energy. Sure, the décor screams "Flavortown," but the actual flavors? More like a polite wave from across the street. The menu reads like it's auditioning for a Food Network montage, but the dishes land squarely in the "I mean... it's fine" category. Nothing offensive, nothing memorable, nothing worth texting the group chat about. Service is friendly, but you can tell they've had to explain the same five signature items 400 times a day. And honestly, the whole experience feels engineered for people who want to say they went to Guy Fieri's restaurant more than they want to actually eat at Guy Fieri's restaurant. Fun once, especially if you're already at Foxwoods and need a break from losing money. But if you're expecting a culinary pilgrimage to the gates of Flavortown, temper those expectations. Cheers

Hate to say it but the spa, this restaurant, and our room were all just ok. $700 for a room. The casino is wildly expensive. Ambiance - extremely dark in here. Next to the restaurant is the club and thankfully we ate and got out of there before the club got going. Got sat next to a bunch of moms with their cheer kids who looked miserable after their cheer competition. That or they were tired. Looked like a bunch of brats to me. The food - just ok. Didn't wow us. Started with the pork dumplings. Big appetizer! Came with 6 pieces. I asked for the crispy onions on the side. They were tasty. I then got a sushi roll. I believe I got the crunchy roll without the tempura flakes. Boyfriend got the salmon. He said it wasn't bad. What was really awful was the mochi they served when they came out to sing happy birthday. It was disgusting. My boyfriend paid extra for the singing act and dessert and I felt bad that he paid extra for this since the dessert was terrible. It was pretty funny how the staff come out with masks and a fake cake and sign. After mine they sang with their ensemble to like 4 other tables. Seems popular. Overall ok restaurant.

I love the open kitchen design because you can see and smell what is going on in the kitchen. The food unfortunately didn't impress me at all. I had the steak noodles that seemed to be tossed with pre-made salad mix that you'd find at your local supermarket. The steak was cooked perfectly (medium-rare and tender) and had sweet, tangy flavor. All in all, not a terrible meal, but the salad mix on a sautéed noodle dish wasn't that enjoyable. We also ordered an assortment of sushi. The sushi was edible, but the rice was too dense and mushy. We ordered the salmon, unagi along with other seafood and it was just OK. The service was good. I thought that our waitress was attentive, polite and brought us our meal as soon as it was available. I'm not sure I'd come here again other than maybe getting a drink in a restaurant that is beautifully decorated. -ODL Connect with me! IG & YouTube: @AOEAT

There's something about seeing the cooks working the line that adds another layer to the experience. It feels lively, energetic, and authentic. We started with a variety of appetizers because, honestly, everything on the menu sounded amazing. First came the bread service with two olive oils. The bread was light and airy, with just enough chew, and it soaked up the oil and sauce like it knew exactly what its job was. Next up were the meatballs, served in a rich tomato sauce with ricotta and shaved Parmigiano. The meatballs had a unique flavor thanks to the sausage mixed into the blend. They were tender, savory, and deeply satisfying. The sauce was chunky and well-balanced, just the right touch of sweetness without tipping into acidity. We also ordered the arancini, which came crisp on the outside and packed with umami flavor, helped along by the truffle sauce. One bite and you understand why these little rice bombs are such a classic. And then there was the cheese board, a nice variety that gave everyone something different to pick at between bites of everything else. For my main course, I went with the Pork Chop Giambotta. The pork chop was grilled beautifully, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It was topped with a giambotta, a rustic Italian stew of vegetables that included fingerling potatoes, sausage, hot cherry peppers, vinegar, garlic, and onions. This dish hit every note on the palate, sweet, savory, tangy, and just enough heat to keep things interesting. One of those plates where every forkful gives you a slightly different combination of flavors. It was a great meal, made even better by sharing it with family. And the service deserves a mention as well. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, the kind of hospitality that makes the whole evening feel effortless.
