Celebrated my birthday there last weekend. The vibe and decor is beautiful. The service was good. I was able to adjust the spiciness of the pasta sauce, which was nice. I got the lobster pasta. It came with HALF a lobster tail. Where's the other half? And it wasn't picked. So I ended up fighting with the shell with my bare hands, which was ugly. I know it's a new restaurant so I may be forgiving and try again, but our the ladies of the table were definitely disappointed. read more

The Bedford by Martha Stewart did not start out strong. We had a reservation for the breakfast buffet. While we were promptly seated. We sat there and sat there with table bussers, and waitresses passing us and not stopping or saying a word. My friend called over the nice man in the suit that seated us and let him know no one had stopped at the table since he had seated us. He apologized - took our drink order and assigned a waitress to us. When our waitress came to the table she was very apologetic. She gave us my friend's son's buffet for free. And each of us a box of pastries to take home. All four of us chose to do the breakfast buffet. The buffet had croissants, mini muffins, sweet breads, fruits, sausage, bacon, Canadian bacon, two types of scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and french toast casserole. All of us enjoyed every bit of this buffet. Everything tasted farm to table fresh. Even the eggs tasted like real eggs were used and scrambled and they were not from a box. If I plan to stay overnight again at Foxwoods I will be making a reservation for breakfast at The Bedford! read more

We recently dined at The Bedford by Martha Stewart and overall I'd give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. The ambiance was warm, elegant, and inviting, and the service throughout the meal was excellent. The staff was attentive and made the experience feel upscale and welcoming. The food was a bit mixed for me. My scallop risotto was flavorful and nicely prepared, but the portion was small enough that I was still hungry afterwards. My father really enjoyed his filet mignon, which was cooked perfectly. We both also ordered salads, which were fresh and good. What disappointed us most were some of the extras considering the price point. There was no complimentary bread service, and the bread basket cost $23, which felt excessive considering we'd only eat one piece each and I wouldn't take the rest to go, as we'd be at the casino for another few hours. The coffee was also surprisingly terrible for a restaurant of this caliber. With salads, entrées, one cocktail and two coffees and tip, our bill ended up being over $200, so I expected a little more value and a more polished overall dining experience. read more

Lunch. I Ordered chicken parm and it was burnt and tried to eat it but couldn't make it through the cardboard dryness. The wife had the chicken salad sandwich but it was dry also. They took it off the ticket and gave me a free desert which was good. The oysters Rockefeller were fair also. I noticed there weren't many patrons there for lunch. Probably a bunch of new customers like us. I would try elsewhere while at Foxwoods. Someone needs to over haul the cook staff or menu or both. The Bedford by Martha Stewart is located by The Canopy and High Rollers. It was very convenient and is accessible by motorized scooter. There current times are 7AM-11AM for breakfast, 11:30AM-4:30PM for lunch, and 4:30PM-10PM for dinner. We loved our experience here for breakfast! Everyone was all smiles from the hostess desk to the table. They do not take reservations for breakfast or lunch, but we didn't have to wait to get a table for 3 on Sunday 9:30 am, and were immediately seated. Our waitress, Dana, was so pleasant and knowledgeable about everything! She told us about the coffee blends and accommodated l my gluten allergy. It felt like a family member taking care of us. The menu has so many options of comforting yet elevated dishes. We ordered the Farmer's choice breakfast, Martha's French omelette, and Hold-The-Yolks omelette. It was all so tasty and presented with care. The coffee was also delicious! If you are gluten free, do keep in mind that the restaurant is still new and they are working on accommodations. However, they were able to still swap my toast for a side of fresh and sweet berries, which I was very happy about! The ambiance is warm and elegant, like Martha herself. Sat at the bar for dinner. Service was excellant and the ambiance of the place is spot on for Martha Stewart. Bread basket is awesome and the clam chowder was top notch, drinks were cold and the Magaritta was solid. However the main course of scallops and chicken parm were warm not hot, only 3 scallops felt like theft and the risotto was a bit bland. Chicken parm was crispy but need more sauce and again was warm not that off the oven hot you normally get. It's a decent , but nothing special in terms of the main meals. Lastly. The configuration of the bar is off. We sat toward the right side middle. From those seats to the end of the bar are 8 seats. Yet they clean all the dishes and prep all the drinks in this tight space. So you constantly have 3-4 people cleaning glasses one at a time , a lot of bar prep for drinks etc happening. The space behind the bar is too narrow thus the reason. Note. We eat out a lot, seat at many bars. If you going to seat people facing a wall , make it not working space. I should have realized that. The bread basket included garden veggie crisps,sour-cherry rosemary focaccia, & warm Parker house rolls w/ Vermont creamery butter. I skipped out on garden veggie crisps b/c it had onions & I'm not an onion fan. The focaccia was so flavorful & moist. The house rolls tasted like it was a mixture of bread & croissant. It was buttery & flaky. The butter was velvety,rich, & creamy. The meatball was tender but lacked flavor. The poppers were crispy but again lacked flavor. For dinner, I ordered the filet mignon (w/braised leek,watercress,& béarnaise)w/ table side smashed baked potato(topped w/ crème fraiche,chives,& bacon). I ordered the filet mignon medium rare as it should be.The filet mignon was cooked to perfection but lacked any salt or pepper. The restaurant does give you salt & pepper if you want to add on but the keyword is add on. It had none whatsoever. The smashed potato was cold,flavorless, & tasted old. The bacon was not baconin'. The fraiche tasted weird. Overall, a huge disappointment. I sampled the clam bake basket & chicken Milanese & both lacked flavor as well. We visited on a Sunday evening after being unable to snag our preferred time for Saturday reservation. The restaurant's design is stunning, an elegant replica of Martha Stewart's 1925 farmhouse. The Bread Basket is an absolute must order; the garden-seasoned flatbread and rosemary focaccia were highlights. For appetizers, the turkey meatball had a lovely basil flavor, but the corn jalapeño dish was a letdown, it lacked any "kick" and was skimpy on the jalapeños. For entrees, the filet mignon was cooked perfectly, the tableside potato felt gimmicky. It was served cold, and the bacon topping tasted fake. The Stovetop Clam Bake and Chicken Milanese were both incredibly bland...the most disappointing versions of these dishes we've ever had. The drinks (Manhattan and Espresso Martini) were well crafted but as with everything else, a bit pricey. With bread not being included and entrees missing the mark on flavor. We really enjoyed their famous pierogis, Alexis's chopped salad full of fresh seasonal veggies, and the chicken Milanese. I am currently on vacation on a nice Foxwoods trip and decided to come here for the very first time. I just had their wonderful breakfast buffet and had the most lovely server named Haley. She was so warm and welcoming, and incredibly attentive answered all of our questions we had about the menu. The breakfast buffet is such a wonderful variety of fresh pastries just stuffed French toast lots of different meat, choices, and Hardy favorites! Their omelettes are absolutely delicious! Ok so ill start by saying this place is very fancy and everything looks great inside. We had reservations and we're seated quickly. We ordered a few appetizers and some main courses. For the apps we had the bread basket, corn jalapeño fritters, Martha's big turkey meatball! The bread basket and the meat ball was my favorite. The bread basket came fresh hot and delicious. It had different kinds of bread most of which I can't name lol. But one things for sure is that it's worth it! The flat crispy bread was my favorite out of them all. It had baked into it red onions peppers basil and fresh spices. Really was the winner of them all. My second favorite was the loaf bread. It had a croissant texture to it and it was soft and delicious. The butter just made it all the better. The turkey meatball ball was really good. The sauce was hearty super fresh and the spices were on point! It was tender and definitely would love a whole serving of that to myself but we had to share lol. The corn jalapeño fritters were my least favorite. They were slightly crispy and tiny jalapeño pieces inside but it wasn't spicy at all for me. Perhaps cause I eat insanely hot food but it just needed more flavor. It did t grab my attention the way I thought. Now for the main courses I had the stove top clam bake. Now I would say for this meal and everything that we ordered was fresh, clean and well presented. But with that said my opinion it was more on the bland side. You are provided with a serving of salt and pepper at your table but it just wasn't the same. Again it was super fresh but just lacked the flavor profile I am use to. I got to try the chicken melenese and the filet mignon aswell. The chicken was crispy and pretty big but unfortunately it lacked flavor aswell. The steak was cooked lovely at a medium rare temp and it was very good inside enjoy that. For drinks I had the espresso martini. And it was delicious. Had a nice kick to it. Not weak at all. The same for the Manhattan. It was strong. The service was attentive and kind. I had really high hopes for The Bedford by Martha Stewart. The ambiance and décor are warm, beautiful, and very inviting--truly a stunning space. Reservations were tough to get; I booked about a month in advance, which made the experience feel even more anticipated. Surprisingly, when we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty. We had driven 1 hour and 45 minutes just to try it, as my boyfriend and I love exploring new restaurants (I don't gamble, so this was purely for the dining experience). We chose to sit at the bar since there were plenty of open seats, but in hindsight, I wish we had opted for a table. The bar faces a wall, and we spent most of the time watching glasses being cleaned and serviced right in front of us--not exactly the ambiance we were hoping for. The food started strong. The chowder was outstanding--perfectly seasoned and served with a few crackers already in the soup, which made for a great first impression. My margarita was fresh and very good. However, my boyfriend was disappointed there was no beer on tap. We ordered the bread basket after seeing so many positive reviews. The crunchy flatbread was excellent, but the rest of the bread didn't taste particularly fresh. We love bread but rarely order it unless it's worth it--this wasn't. We left about half behind. For entrées, the scallops with risotto were very expensive and came with only three scallops. The onions on the dish were drenched in oil to the point they were inedible. I ordered the chicken parm--crispy and flavorful, but it needed more sauce. Unfortunately, both dishes were barely warm, which really took away from the experience. We skipped dessert, and honestly, it wasn't even worth bringing leftovers home. Overall, while the space is beautiful and the concept is appealing, the experience did not live up to the hype. Was excited to try the Bedford but was very disappointed. We started our dinner with wine, which was very nice and at a good price point. The main dishes were less than satisfactory. I had the Chicken Milanese which was over cooked and very dry. The menu stated it has a red wine vinegar and lemon. I asked for more of this mixture to add to the cutlet, but it still did not present well. The other person in the party ordered the Stovetop Clam Bake. This was very disappointing. It had no flavor and was very dry. She asked for a side of butter, with the butter and salt and pepper there was still very little flavor to this meal. Went to The Bedford at Foxwoods several times in April and had wonderful experiences. Our visit in May was extremely disappointing. My husband ordered the Pasta Limone and added shrimp... BIG MISTAKE. The shrimp was not cleaned at all and had veins and excrement in them. I ordered the Honey Mustard Salmon and it was done on the outside edges but raw inside. To say that this was the worst meal we ever had would not even be close. This food should never have been served this way. With Martha Stewart's high standards our meal should have been free. We went to the Bedford with high expectations. Unfortunately, the service was quite poor. It took 20 minutes to get a glass of wine, and our hors devour arrived before our drink. The food was excellent, but we were never offered a second drink, and sat with empty water glasses until we asked for the check and left. The table next to us( different servers) were attended to every 3 minutes maximum and even had their napkins folded for them when they went to the bathroom. The Bedford was a total letdown! We had high hopes for a restaurant from the queen of hospitality and as we were seated, the service and atmosphere met expectations. The letdown started when we ordered. They have no allergy menu. Gluten free options are very limited and don't offer substitutions. My friend ordered pancakes, her daughter ordered chicken and waffles & I ordered the corn beef and eggs. I asked for potatoes since they don't have GF bread. The corn-beef was so salty that it was inedible and I couldn't have potatoes because "they're a much higher price than the toast" so I reordered potatoes as an extra paid side. The waffles were burnt, the chicken was so overcooked that it was hard on the outside and rubber inside, the poached eggs were so overdone that they looked like hardboiled centers. The servers were very nice apologized. The manager comped everything but instead of apologies all he had were excuses: The saltiness was my fault because I order the corn-beef gluten free so the chef couldn't add a final ingredient that lowers the saltiness, and it went on from there. I finally said we didn't require excuses or explanations for the bad food but had I been informed of this issue, I would have ordered something else. At least one of us got edible food, I was told the blueberry pancakes were great and the serving was enough to share with her daughter whose food was also inedible. The food was extremely bland and lacked the flavor you would expect, which was very disappointing. Service was also slow from the start--we waited quite a while before anyone even approached our table, although our waitress herself was pleasant once she did. Our waitress was very over the top like she was putting on a performance, and it was a little too much. The rest of the Wait staff looked a little confused and not very excited to be working. You can tell that they're still trying to get the kinks out as a new restaurant and maybe could've had a couple of more soft openings to help with this. I was extremely excited to see this restaurant when we arrived at Foxwoods. The place is clean and sleek, just like anything you would expect from Martha Stewart. It is classic and fancy without being pretentious. As soon as you sit you will notice the open kitchen with lots of copper pans. And lots of cake stands/domes decorating lots of the areas, as well as Martha's pictures everywhere. The menu is small and contains some of Martha's favorite dishes. If you used to see her show, you would recognize them. It was 3 of us and we opted for a few appetizers and mains. I wish we could have tried more items, but with only 3 people that is harder. We ordered the oysters Rockefeller, the pierogis and the giant turkey meatball to start. The oysters Rockefeller were good, but not the best we have had. The pierogis were lukewarm(our biggest criticism for the night), but delicious. Hard to fault them otherwise since I love pierogis and I have always used her recipes to make them. The giant meatball was spectacular. I read other people who complaint about the seasoning. I do think that if you are used to eating salty food, then the food will be bland for your palate . We usually complaint about food being too salty, and these were spot on. The meatball was very moist, full of taste and the sauce on top was very fresh. I am used to eating ground turkey, so if you are used to ground beef, it won't be the flavor you are expecting. I do not eat beef, so this was absolutely perfect. We opted not to order the bread basket like most tables did because it just seemed like it was a lot of bread. And for $23 dollars, we opted to stay away from a basket that we were probably not going to consume. The meatball comes with a big toast. As a main meal, we had a steak, the halibut and Alexi's chopped salad. The salad was VERY fresh and all the vegetables were crunchy and flavorful, not cooked to a limp stage like many other places. The colors are vibrant and lively. The halibut was cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly and served over a bed of a thick chowder. Garnished with beautiful fresh tomatoes that have been barely cooked to retain their flavors. My son's steak was served with what looked like watercress(he couldn't tell and I did not tasted it). The steak was ordered medium rare and it was PERFECT. They did not undercooked or overcooked it, it was absolutely perfect and gorgeous. It tasted fantastic. Served with an au jus to complete the dish, and what looked like pieces of king oyster mushrooms. Everything was what we expected from a place that has the name Martha Stewart on them. The cocktails were fantastic and extremely well balanced. We only ordered one dessert, since we were full already. The dessert was small and a bit different to what we were expecting. It was tasty, beautiful and very light and airy. I just wished it had more of the lemon curd. It was an upside down lemon tart and the lemon was not as present as I would have preferred. The service was outstanding and the place is really beautiful. I really liked the uniforms. Non pretentious, but very classy. There's a little store with merch at the exit. If you are a big fan(like I am) they have nice shirts, jackets and a few of her kitchen products. Overall, extremely well worth it. The food was all outstanding until desert came. I ordered the upside down Lemon meringue pie. It was horrible. Nothing like a pie. It was all hard meringue with a teaspoon of lemon. Just horrible. I left 95 percent of it and the waiter asked how I liked it. I was honest and told him and said he was sorry and knew this about the desert. Very welcoming space . When you walk into the restaurant there is a small, forgotten area that sells Martha products but honestly it's been forgotten. No signage indicating it's even there . We just stumbled upon it when leaving. We dined during breakfast. No reservation required. We were a party of two around 9:30 and we were promptly sat down. Service was good. Guy had too many tables to serve but he was trying hard. We were going to order off the menu but once we heard about the buffet we figured it's a good way to try more items. Looking back I wish I'd ordered off menu. The buffet was just ok. The breads were the best part! The coconut croissant is killer. The plates ran out. I had to ask three different servers to get more. Someone needs to be in charge of the buffet! Anyhow, the deviled eggs are a nice touch but tasteless, sausages were good, scrambled eggs were tasty too, potatoes weren't warm and bland. As I said for myself I'd not get the buffet again. The waiter also offered made to order omelettes which I find odd because you have several egg dishes on the buffet. having eaten breakfast once before at martha we decided to go again. previously one of us had the french toast which was thick with a creamy interior and just delicious. this time two of us ordered the french toast and were very disappointed. we were served two thin pieces of bread that were burnt. they were also dry. it was almost as if they took two pieces from the buffet and tried to reheat them on a griddle. i had the ham and eggs. the ham was to be smoked. only problem the ham had no flavor but smoke and was not pleasant. ham had no grill marks so again only flavor unpleasnt smoke. the potatoes were well done and crispy which i liked but they were so overly processed with rosemary that you could not taste potato just rosemary which again not pleasant. nice resturant, good service but food not what i would expect from this resturant. read more

Went to Foxwoods where they have only recently opened Martha Stewart's " The Bedford " restaurant. As a retired chef I have always admired Mz Stewart's culinary history and cultural influence, therefore I was excited to see what this venue in a casino was about. Decided to go with the breakfast on Monday morning with plans for dinner later. They were busy, as no other place offered a breakfast that day that was comparable. After a short wait the very congenial hostess sat us a a deuce that was bordered on either side rather closely by other guests. As we are large men it was a bit awkward. But our server was prompt and ready with coffee and told us about the buffet that was open as well. Choosing to pause and peruse the menu for a bit to see our options we sipped our coffee from cups that we could barely get our fingers thru the handles, obviously not made for big guys , but my grandmother would have loved them. Unfortunately the coffee itself was weak and lukewarm. Certainly not a robust wake up call. Having put aside the menu we opted for the buffet. Apparently petite is in when it comes to breakfast pastries, most were an inch and a half square., like two bites, not wanting to resemble an ape , I just took a couple, and moved on to the hotel pans and the hot goods. No one tended to these and it was a serve yourself. I went for the bacon pulled up a piece and five other pieces came up attached, I tried another piece and six pieces came with it, another and I got lucky with just three pieces. On to the scrambled eggs of which there were two kinds , plain and Italian . Looking at the Italian scramble there were pieces of shredded meat on it with a sprinkling of chives , took a bit of both, completed my plate with breakfast fries, two sausage and an egg puff, my partners plate was pretty much the same except he got a ham slice. And then I also grabbed a small yogurt parfait. I will make this brief, nothing was hot but lukewarm, seasoning was lacking in everything and our table held no salt or pepper, no table did, you had to request it, did I say it was busy ?? The eggs cold, the Italian scrambles mystery meat appeared to be canned tuna, gross in so many ways. The sausage needed the knife to cut and were very chewy but I did like they had a maple sweetness. My friend's ham was inedible as it was drier than the Sahara . The petite pastries were good for mass produced. The small yogurt parfait had a lemon curd topping that completely overwhelmed the small bit of yougurt on the bottom and made your eyes pop with the first bite of that curd. And all of this for over a hundred dollars or so. Plus of course a 25% gratuity. Sorry Martha , not impressed and we dismissed the thought of dinner, if you can't get the simplest meal of the day right why come back for possibly more of the same ?? We went to Hells Kitchen , Ramsay's venue and had a marvelous time and dinner. Oh and the homefries , cold and once again not a smidgin of seasoning of any kind, Come on kitchen ! read more
