Honestly, I walked up into here because it was the first food option when we walked into the casino. I do love a good burger and a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to sample Wahlburgers at an event in Boston. I was kind of thinking, fast food experience, but our actual experience couldn't be further from that. We were greeted with a friendly and genuine hostess. It's turned out to be a really good experience. I ordered a regular cheeseburger with just cheese and sauce and pickles. It was a really good cheeseburger. I was really happy with my burger. I ordered the chicken sandwich, and it was honestly disappointing--dry, lacking flavor, and nothing close to what you'd expect for the price. The meal was bland, and overall it just felt low quality. On a recent trip from Long Beach to Norfolk, I grabbed a double Whopper with cheese and a large fry from the Burger King at SLC (Salt Lake City Airport). It cost $15, took 10 minutes, and honestly was exactly what I needed -- hot, fast, reliable, and TASTY. Later, at DTW (Detroit Airport), I tried Wahlburgers and ordered the closest thing they had to the same burger. That meal came out to $30, took 20 minutes, and the burger was less than half as good as the Whopper. Bland, overpriced, and absolutely not worth what they're charging. What really sealed it was the staff situation: there were no less than six employees behind the counter and in the back room, and every single one of them was doing exactly nothing. No urgency, no movement, no sense that anyone cared about getting food out. Just standing around while customers waited. So here's the bottom line: the Whopper at SLC was cheaper, faster, and way better. Wahlburgers at DTW was double the price, double the wait, and nowhere near the quality. Was visiting the resort and decided to give this place a try. Unfortunately it was the stereotypical fast food burger joint. Kind of grimy, staff just so so, the food was middle of the road. Better than a McDonald's experience but not to the leveling Five Guys, for reference. I'd eat here again but not some place I'd go out of my way for. read more

Grabbed a to go order from Walhburgers late one night and take back to our hotel room after a night of gambling and drinking. We've done this twice now. (Well originally we wanted some sushi from Red Lantern..we showed up at 9:50om and the website said they closed at 10:30pm, but they were definately closed sooo....) Can't say we have any experience though with how it is dine in getting burgers. The first time, my husband's burger didn't seem cooked thoroughly. Our 2nd time was a bit better. This food is best for the purpose that we used it for...a greasy, bready meal to absorb the alcohol to not have hangovers the next day. While at Foxwoods we stopped in for a quick lunch. We all had a great experience. The food was great, it was cooked perfect, the server was attentive and was present. We had to wait a little bit where we were a table of 5 but we were sat pretty quickly and to be honest, we ate at two "high end" restaurants while at Foxwoods, but these burgers, app's and salad was the best meal we had during our stay! read more

Wanted a quick bite and none of us had tried Walhburgers before and were interested. We had to leave our drinks (Starbucks) up front, and we were promptly seated. Service was very friendly. The rest of my table opted for the classic burger, but I opted for the BBQ Bacon Burger (BBQ is my go to condiment on a burger!). It came with fresh spicy jalapeno, a good amount of bbq, melted pepper jack cheese, not crisp bacon (not a bad thing) on top of a well cooked beef patty, all held together by a soft bun. The jalapeno is strong so be sure you want that heat! We shared a side of Tater Tots, which were nice and crisp! The Lemonade Iced Tea was a great balance, as there was more iced tea than lemonade. I got the slider flight and my husband sweet chili tenders and it was delicious!!! The sweet chili was on the hot side but flavor was great. The slider flight had so much flavor and was pretty filling for mini burgers. Tots were on point- nice crunch to it soft and salty delicious. Service was great at the bar! The 2 bartenders worked great together. The gentleman had great stories - loved his hat! The girl was really friendly and kind to customers. Well, yet again, while staying at Foxwoods for a couple of days, I stopped to get a burger to bring up to my room around 9pm. I specifically requested NO bun and extra Wahl sauce on the side instead of the honey mustard and a Diet Pepsi. When they brought out my order, they forgot my drink, and when they did bring it to me it was regular, not diet. Then, when I got all the way back to my room, I find that my burger is on bread and there is no Wahl sauce either on the burger or on the side! I paid $20 for those two items and I would expect them to get a simple order like mine correct but this is NOT THE FIRST TIME this has happened. I have metastasized cancer and was too tired to go all the way back down to complain but seriously, they need to do better! Even though it's mostly hamburgers and fries, the hamburgers were cooked the way we asked for them to be not just overcooked slabs of meat. Plenty of fries that were hot, just cooked hot not sitting under a light hot. Milk shakes were thick and tasteful. Service was very good. And best of all price was right. We placed our order for 2 and after 10 minutes we're told our meal would not be serve for at least 40 minutes. We watched take out orders flying out of the restaurant. We gave up. This is my second visit at this location and I've never been to another one. First, the service we had last night at the Wahlburgers at Foxwoods was phenomenal. I don't remember the server's name, but we sat in a booth at about 11:30pm. He was super attentive and extremely nice. I haven't had better service in any restaurant we've eaten in at Foxwoods or elsewhere maybe ever and we're foodies. We eat out a lot. The food... Last night, the burgers came out and looked fabulous. I took a bite of my double decker and meh... it was pretty flavorless. Once I added salt and pepper, The burger really popped. It was just under seasoned. With salt and pepper, it was one of the better burgers I've had including the one I had earlier in the day at Hell's Kitchen. The fries were fine, but I'd try the tots next time. The fries really taste like frozen fries, which is a shame for a place doing burgers. Fries are a big part of the experience. I'd have expected fresh cooked fries, but it's not Five Guys. This visit was way better than the first time from food quality to service. We're glad we tried it again. Overall, this is a decent place to grab a quick bite at Foxwoods if you don't feel like walking to Fox Tower for Johnny Rockets, which has better fries. Amazingly delicious smash burgers! Toppings are fresh, the beef is full of flavor, and the buns are slightly toasted, but still are soft and fresh on the outside. Fiesta burger was spicy from the fresh jalapeño, but still very good. Sometimes you get a hot fresh jalapeño and sometimes you don't, but they had a good kick today! "Our burger" was absolutely perfect with a blend of all of the right ingredients with the special sauce. I want another after thinking about it! There is a big bar with plenty of seats and the staff were quick and efficient. Wahlburgers is a basic eatery. More hype than value. Burgers are premade not hand formed and definitely not grilled. Stopped in after a concert at Foxwoods. The hours are good. Pricing is moderate. Burger was prepared with bacon, cheddar, jalapeños and special sauce. If you are looking for fries, those are an up charge. There's many choices for dining at Foxwoods. They let me know so I was not bothered or surprised it really did take that long. I went to the one at Foxwoods. I like to snack as my wife gambles. Best of two worlds. Well this is not a snack. I've always been a fan of Wahlburgers having experienced their flagship Massachusetts location, and their now defunct Trumbull location as well. I will say that the menu at the Ledyard location was limited and I was disappointed that the Thanksgiving burger has been discontinued. We enjoyed our meals and will return in the future. read more

This was way better than I thought it would be. The staff greeted us immediately and even though we were going to have to wait for a table, they let us know the bar was free so we chose that. When my burger came I was a little concerned bc the buns looked squished and there was already grease on the plate- but when I bit into it- I welcomed that grease. That burger was juicy, flavorful and delicious. The mushrooms and bacon were perfect and the provolone cheese was stretchyyy. Sometimes places overcook or undercook with provolone and it's a disappointment but not here. My husbands burger was well done instead of medium but he said the flavor was really good.
