Yvonne is an absolute GEM! Someone recommended Davi because of how long their set lasted so I walked in and Yvonne greeted me and asked for a photo. She nailed it and did a great job recreating the photo. She did an AMAZING job and I wish I had taken a photo but I will post what that set looked like after 3 1/2 weeks! This is the first time in my life my nails Lasted over 3 weeks with no lifting what so ever! I had no chipping either and the top coat is still shiny! Yvonne so far has done the best job on my nails. They have not lifted, which is awesome. I have gone to other places and have gotten mold under my nails and they lifted. I walked in and Yvone was able to get me in pretty quick for a manicure. I brought my White Apple Ear pods with me and set them next to my wallet while I got my nails done. I paid, left. That evening I looked at my Ear pod location on my phone and it said they were at Davi Nail Salon - 8503 NW Military Hwy, Sam Antonio TX 78231. I called the salon and they said they were not there. I looked again at the location and is stills showed my ear pods were there. I went to the nail salon and told them I know they are here, they are showing here. Walked in literally 30 minutes before closing, it was my first time here and I just wanted to check their prices out and get a feel of the place but Yvonne quickly took me and my friend in. I told her we could come back the next day but she insisted. Not only did she do my nails kinda fast but she did amazing on the design I showed her I wanted! Definitely not the worst place I've been but not 5 star fabulous. Stopped in on a Wednesday morning around 10:15. They had just opened and had the front door propped open but no AC on. Not sure why but it was comfortable and at some point they closed the door and turned on the air. Got powder dip for $35 (they said that included $5 to remove the shellac I had). No manicure but I did ask them to file my nails down and it wasn't a problem. It was a pleasant experience and really don't have anything to complain about. I'm new to the area and want to try some other places but would definitely return to this place. read more

Came a little before 5PM today and asked for a $65 pedicure and I was not even give the $65 pedicure, so I asked to just do the basic with gel $50 the lady painted my feet and I asked about the scrub that they normally do even if you get a basic pedi and she said that she does it after she's done painting my nails but instead because I asked for a basic pedi she only can rub lotion on my legs and put the hot towel. Really crappy job, no massage and a half ass job done for $50. Not to mention my nails, I felt like I was pushed to do it and I normally don't do it here so I did it anyway, I asked for a certain set and I'm so very disappointed, I specifically asked for square shape and I wanted it boxy instead it was filed down so much and I was given a rounded square shape, what I asked for didn't even look like what I got, i paid $75 and I left with white marks on the palm of my hand. Paid $125 no tip because I felt like I wasn't given a service I should have gotten. The owner seemed more interested in counting her money than making sure I was happy. read more

By far the worst mani-pedi I've ever had. My nail technician first turns on the hit water. I tell her it's too hot so she leaves it on cold. She's getting crazy with the cuticle trimmer. Hurting me. Slaps my foot." Like don't move." HELL NO!! don't hurt me then, lady. Then she's cleaning her nails on my foot. Wth!! I don't want the mani anymore but she says someone else is doing it. So I comply. The other Rexburg brings her bowel of soda and water. But doesn't even give me the time to out my hands in there. Just gets to cutting my cuticles with dry hands. Tolerable but no. My first experience was horrible, but I was in the area today and thought I'd give it a second chance out of convenience.last week again I decided to give it a second try out of convenience. Once I was sat down, at one point, She asked me what shape I wanted and I said "just a file, not too short" and then she just immediately started clipping my toenails off as if she didn't hear me. I had asked for a 50$ deluxe pedicure but my nail tech was rushing me and seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. Every time they have new people there. I'm not going back ever again. Stopped in here last Thursday (today is Wednesday) and received pretty great customer service. I got dip powder on my natural nails and they turned out noticeably uneven but they were so short I didn't want anymore length lost. Next, I got my eyebrows and lip waxed. My right eyebrow stung worse than usual; when I later checked the mirror after the redness went away, I realized I had a 1/4 inch scratch along my brow bone. how does that even happen?! Anyway, my eyebrows are gorgeous but I have to conceal this scratch. Here's my biggest issue: I have had dip many times before. They last about three weeks for me during the school year when I'm very active. During the summer I can get a month out of them. The ones I got 6 days ago are chipping and raised at the cuticle (when I do my hair, strands get caught under the nail). I typically go to the salon across the parking lot but stopped here for the lower price... yup. That was a mistake. I'll pay the $15 more to keep my nails for longer. read more

I was very busy that day and just needed a pedicure for an important event happening the next day. For that reason I was unable to relax and order a deluxe pedicure. But my feet felt and looked great after my pedicure was done. I don't think I got his name but he was very polite, quick and efficient with making my feet look good. Thomas's work is trash. Reading other reviews for this location that described the rough and painful work leads me to believe he's the owner, of course that's just an assumption. I came in for the first time here for a new acrylic set and I was surprised there were only two nails techs there on a Sunday. I was greeted and sat for 30 minutes and no one even bothered to soak my nails in acetone while waiting, or even offer me water. I asked if they had chrome powder and they only pointed to a collection of chunky glitter polishes. I realize why I waited so long, this man takes his sweet ass time doing shit work. He walked out of the salon multiple times while they finally soaked my nails, not washing his hands in between. He ripped the center of three of my fingertips, which is SO PAINFUL. When asked to not cut so short on my right hand, he looked at me like I had just cussed him out and didn't speak to me after that. The one other tech stepped in to distract us from possibly arguing in front of the other customer, she was sweet, I'll give her that. Still continued later to file RIDICULOUSLY HARD on my fingers, knowing he already hurt me. While ripping off the remainder of my old set, he sliced my fingertip on my right hand. I hadn't noticed since he was already causing so much pain already, but when he put the alcohol on my fingers i had to pull my hand away because of how painful it was. I'm not a baby about things like this but it was ridiculous. I reckon they have a bad rep since they have a sign that reads "SORRY NO REFUNDS". I mentioned before that he was not washing his hands when coming back, he was not dusting the powder that flies off when drilling either, so his sweaty hands mixed with the excess powder made a disgusting paste on both of our hands and I couldn't wait for it to be over with. He didn't even let my shellac dry all the way in the UV light, left excess polish on my fingers and left them lopsided. The tools didn't even seem clean since he blew a piece of nail off of nail clippers before using it on me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. These people should not own a salon. I'm only giving 3 stars because of how clean this places was , I pay 85 dollars including tip, that for two pedi and a eye brow lip and chin wax . I kinda was let down of my pedi because I did t feel anything . Usually I like mine a bit rougher , but they were gentle for me . It was my first time here . The people who work Here take pride in cleanliness and sanitation. My pedi. Was okay but didn't get a great foot scrub . They did get my cuticles really well . Next time I hope for better service . Stopped in for a pedicure while a watch was being worked on down the way. After evaluating my nails, and prompting from the technician, I decided to go for a manicure too. I upgraded to shellac for my manicure, noting how rough I am on my hands with cooking, cleaning and the sorts (no, not Cinderella, just a wife and mom). All said and done? I liked the space but there is no restroom, right, no restroom. One must venture to HEB. My pedicure was really just acceptable, frankly, it wasn't as shiny and even as I would have liked. My shellac manicure wasn't completely dried before I was rushed out. The polish was on thick and my nails were not under the lamp long enough. This prompted two fixes. I asked for the oil for shellac nails 3 times. I think there was a lack of communication. Either way, the staff were nice about fixing my nails and apologetic about the restroom, but at just under $70 after gratuity the experience left much to be desired and I will find someplace else next time. read more

I had a gentleman doing them at first and with no warning or explanation he left and did not return. I had to ask if he was coming back and they said they called another girl into to do them. I have gone before and the ladies are awesome, but haven't seen them lately. They probably left because the owner is rude and very rough while doing any type of work on your fingers and toes. They told my daughter they don't do designs when the girls always have done them before. I will not be going back period after my last incident when filing my nail the manicurist took off a layer from my finger tips then proceeded to squirt it down with alcohol to let it burn. I wish I would have read the reviews before coming here. I usually go to Miracle Nails (and I LOVE it there!) but I had seen a sign at Davi that said $35 for dip powder. Trying to save some money, my best friend and I decided to try them out. The selections they have for dip and regular polish aren't the best. I had a set of nails on coming into the salon...instead of soaking the nails off, he used a tip to squeeze in between my nail and the fake nail trying to loosen it up before popping it off. IT HURT SO BAD!!! I found a pink color that I liked...I asked him if he could sprinkle some glitter on top of it, he said no. Really?? It would have taken 5 seconds to do that! My nails were SO uneven and I kept on having to ask him to make both hands even. I gave up after several times of asking. I went home and just filed them myself. This place is a scam. My mom bought a gift certificate 1 year ago that clearly stated there was no expiration date. When I went in to redeem the gift cert with my 13 yr old daughter on her birthday, the woman in charge said that the owners had changed. This meant that even though the nail salon was the same name and in the same location, they could not redeem my gift certificate.My mom is furious that she put this money toward this and now cannot get her money back because the owners "might be in Vietnam for another three months" to rectify this. What a terrible experience. The man who did my nails that goes to UTSA was the best experience there.. He gave his tip back to me bc he felt bad how the woman in charge treated me. read more

I go every couple weeks for a shellac mani and regular pedi and they are great. They are very courteous, always offer you something to drink. They always do their best - even if it means redoing 2 nails that I didn't like. Prices are fair, but no restroom. Overall a great environment and great place to get your nails done! read more
