I have been coming to this salon for 10 years... I assure you, you will not find better quality work and reasonable pricing anywhere else in the city! Solar Nail Studio - Nail Salons Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

terrible place to get your feet done. paid $50 for nail polish to be all around my toes. I got a basic pedicure and the picture said I get a mask. it was lotion. didnt even tip the guy. he was in a rush when it wasn't even busy. my toes look terrible. don't come to place unless you want to get ripped off. read more

Teresa has been doing my nails for years. No matter what I ask for or the photos I bring in, she always does a beautiful job. My nails do not break or crack between appointments and they are not thick. I usually have the color dip but if I want something and the color is only available in polish, she makes it happen. Her husband is excellent with nails and pedicures also. They also do brow waxing. The San Antonio location is easy to access from Huebner or Northwest Military and plenty of parking. I don't know why Yelp has San Francisco as my location. read more

I was actually looking for Rose Nail Salon when I found this place. After sitting and waiting and literally being ignored, finally I get acknowledged. I got a good manicure, but I have serious hygeine concerns about this place. They had a white hand towel at the nail station, on top of that they put paper towels. They seated me at a station with a paper towel literally stained with nail polish streaks and yellow nail residue from previous customers. Are you serious? How much does it cost to replace a paper towel. Also, they had the AC off and back door kicked open I guess to let air in. It was hot and humid in there. The fans didn't help. It is kind of run down and by not having the AC on for customers and not keeping stations clean they send a message that they are struggling for business and/or do not care about the health and comfort of clients. read more

Wine while getting a pedicure is always a plus. Great service. Some places just try to get you in and out but here they actually took their time and did a really good job. Got a mani-pedi and was very satisfied. Best pedicure I've ever had read more

Solar Nail Studio - My friend & I both got butterfly's on our ring fingers & we are obsessed!! (: - Nail Salons Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Solar Nails has been my nail salon for years. I forget to leave a review so I'm doing it now. My whole family comes here! It started with me then my son and daughter-in-law. Then my sister moved back in town and needed a nail salon. My best recruit was my husband who reminds me monthly now it is time to get our piggies done. Even my sister-in-law now comes in once a month from Houston to get her toes done. They always are friendly and do a SUPER job. I've tried other places when they are closed and have not been pleased. It is worth waiting for them to be open. read more

Always a good experience here. They have a Hello Kitty chair for kids' pedicures that my daughter loves. I usually get shellac or dip fingernails and a pedicure. Prices are affordable and service is great. read more

Pedicure and dip nails. Quality work, reasonably priced and very pleasant atmosphere. The owners (husband and wife) are the best!!! Ho

I came in today with an appointment at 3 pm.I was happy that they offered me a beverage right when I sat down , of course I got water. I got a Gel manicure & pedicure . I got the lavender pedicure which was very relaxing .I got my feet scrubbed and massaged. I also got paraffin wax (first time I get paraffin wax) woah it felt different but in a good way , after my feet felt so soft and shiny. The guy that did my feet took his time & did an amazing job. The hot towels really relax the muscles . Everything was cleaned and properly sanitized . They really listen to your needs and wants and adjust to you . Overall it was a great experience and I will be returning. I also got a hand massage and hot towel on both hands such a relief since I do a lot of things with my hands : lift weights etc. I left happy and I totally recommend this place if your looking for a luxury experience . Also they don't rush so be ready to spend 1hr or more tops . I can never complain about that because they put they're time and effort into making sure you are happy. read more

Staff is pleasant and I think they do a good job. I have brought granddaughters who have used the pretty mini spa chair for pedicures.

There are a few items on a check list that I consider when rating a nail salon and I think that most patrons would agree. Cleanliness, kind staff, a large choice of colors, up to date magazines, TVs, offered drinks and of course price. Oh yes, and wait times, ease of parking - I could go on. This little nail salon tucked in a quickly emptying strip center has lost some luster over the years. The large TV was stolen and later replaced with the smallest flat screen, not to mention that the staples like Oprah are never on, always Vietnamese news or soaps. They do offer water, but back in the day used to offer wine. They don't keep up to date with new OPI colors and the selection seems diminished each time I go in. In addition, I find their services to be slightly overpriced for the atmosphere and amenities (lack of drink selection and color options). I think a Mani/Pedi combo was $45 before tip? The setting is also not too clean. There is dust on the plants and the magazines are falling apart. Now, the staff are darn nice. There are at least 3 or 4 ladies that I love to work with but considering the disappointing last few visits I may need to find somewhere else, even if that means driving further from home. Overall, the place gets the job done but it's not impressive. read more

I've been coming to Solar Nails for a few years now . They have always been kind and welcoming. Good prices on all services. They do a great job too! read more

The owner is so rude, every time I've come in he has been unapproachable and is hesitant to help anyone. They are never busy and service is horrible. There are so many nail salons that give quality service and are approachable so look elsewhere. The owner should be friendly and he is the very opposite of that. read more

Worst full set I ever had plus extremely rude when I asked the nail tech to correct certain nails. Eyes rolled and items where put down harshly to let me know they were not happy with my requests. Ended up leaving and going to Tip Top Nails and they were wonderful! Fixed my nails and were even concerned with who had done my nails because they were so bad. When I told them it was another shop they were relieved. I will NEVER be back to this salon. read more

This is my go-to place when I need a girly-girl fix. Reason #1 I love it here: nail art. Yep. It's true. I'm a sucker for nail art. Reason #2 I am a fan: The men help me choose my nail color, and the ladies make it sing with pretty flowers painted on my toes. I just love that. Reason #3: The people are nice... exceptionally nice. The salon is clean, the people friendly, and the wait is manageable. Did I mention flowers on your toes? read more

Decided to try a new nail salon since the one I used to go to was under renovations & I definitely will be making this my new go to nail salon! Not only was everyone very welcoming they offer 10% off to students, making my new set of solar nails only $30.00 with tip. The store was yes a little old, but very organized and the wait was not long at all. Very pleased! read more

I've been there two times. But today was my worst experience. The lady that was taking away my acrylic fucked up my nails bad and she was being rude about it. She did charge me for a manicure that she did not do it. I'm sitting at another nail salon getting the Medicare done.I did not do anything. I called and talk to the owner and asked for a refund for my manicure. Let's see if that's gonna happen read more

I went here to get my wedding nails along with a few of my bridesmaids. We had called earlier to make an appointment and when we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome and helped promptly. This was my first time getting solar nails and they explained the whole process to me. I ended up getting solar nails with dip with Tony and he did a great job. He has such a fine attention to detail. Prices were very reasonable and our whole group was very happy with the final results. read more

So happy I came here. After the last place I went to ruined my nails and gave me a terrible pedicure. I came to solar nails on a Saturday and it was amazing. They have complimentary mimosas on Saturday which is awesome. They had a papaya pedicure special going on and it was totally worth it. Especially bc the lady that did mine took her time on every detail and actually massages my legs. It's so hard to find that anywhere. Same with my manicure. The young lady took her time and made sure I was happy. I will come here from now on. read more

Tecnician kept ignoring me, turned back on me and played on phone when I tried to talk to him. Only did 2 rounds of dip on me instead of three as I requested. Paid money to not be listened to by several staff and have inferior work performed. First time won't return. Already have cracked after one night. read more

I must admit I came here for the first time because the reviewers mentioned wine :) It's right by my house so I thought this could be my new go to spot. The pedicure was fine, except they didn't use the scrub to clean my feet, just applied lotion. Also I wasn't offered any wine but everyone else there was!! I was offended and disappointed :( I wasn't offered anything at all to drink actually. Oh well. I guess I'll keep looking for a go-to place. read more

So far I've been to the Solar Nail Studio twice for gel and dip nail manicures. The studio is very clean, has a great atmosphere, and the staff is friendly with excellent customer service. The first time I went was a walk-in on a Saturday, and they were able to accommodate me quickly. The second time I went, I had an appointment, and my nail technician began right on time (busy ladies, rejoice!). I've seen the nail technician Cindy both times, and not only does she do a fabulous job, but she's attentive to what you actually want with your nail shape, length, etc. I'd never had gel or dip nails before, and she was super informative with all of my questions. I had my gel manicure for two weeks, and they were still going strong without chips. I've only had my dip nail manicure for a couple days, but I have high hopes that they will last a long time too. I think it's safe to say that I've found my new go-to nail salon, and I would definitely recommend them! read more

Spent $80 for a shellac mani and a pedicure and it's Day 3 and 2 of my toes are chipped already. Not to sure if I'll return here. Most of this time my pedicures last a while and this is a first in awhile for it to already chip off read more

This is my favorite neighborhood nail salon. The people are extremely nice and are excellent at their work. It is always clean and pleasant inside. They offer a beverage (soda, water, white wine). One nice touch that I recently noticed was that they have built in light ovens for shellac nails inside their tables. One for each hand. It was very comfortable and not awkward positioning like at most salons. Just a really nice touch. Also, they have all the hot OPI colors now and they even have their normal paint colors matched up to their shellac counterparts if you want to match your fingers to your toes. Highly recommended. read more

Great place, family owned and operated. Great job, my nails look amazing and the pedicure with the Paraffin wax is awesome.

I first went here a few days ago. Everyone was very nice, but my shellac manicure started chipping really bad after a couple days.
