WORST SALON ON 281! The staff is extremely rude & unprofessional. They completely did not listen to what I asked. I only asked if she could do the design & she said she could but wanted to do her own thing and her own colors. Left my hands in acetone for 20 minutes all dried up. Then she hurt my cuticles multiple times even after asking her to stop. Yelled at staff back & forth in front of me over my nails. The other lady sliced my toe open to the point it's was bleeding and she tried to cover it with her hands to hide it. Plus she complete left nail polish all over my toes like a 10 year old. Long story short, I went in for a full set of almond French tip, and I walked out with solid pink nails with a glitter top coat and bleeding cuticles. For some reason they refused to do my original request, but I was in there for 2.5 hours for a set that should've taken 1-1.5. My original tech couldn't even complete the work. I was needing a pedicure and my nails done. Mike was my nail tech and I have used him before. He is very kind and he does good work. His massages are awesome if you choose to get a pedicure with one. I went with French shellac on my toes and they look beautiful. I had two fingernails that were split on the side so I went with a powder dip today to give them time to grow out. The dip powder looks great even on my short nails. The pedicure and nail took 1.5 hours but was relaxing. I arrived at 10am on Saturday and they had a steady flow of customers in and out. Everyone was busy so an appointment is advised. Their pedicure chairs have a nice massager which was nice on my back. They do offer you a drink if you like and I opted for a Coke. read more

Came by here with my girlfriend to get a pedicure because my feet were beyond scuffed and required saving. My experience was favorable and quite relaxing (ended up with the highest tier pedicure package). However, the same cannot be said for my better half. Her manicure and pedicure unfortunately came out bad, as there were a number of issues such as: Uneven coating on all nails Nails cut to different lengths (these are her real nails also) Some areas of the nails completely lacked nail polish Applied top coat and sealant before filing nails down which derailed the entire service Despite speaking up and informing the tech of these issues while the manicure was taking place, the tech either disregarded her or did not hear/understand her. In the end, it was a lost cause. The only saving grace here was the owner Phu, who told us to come back later in the week and recommended us to ask for Rose/Kim so that the issue could be fixed. This seems to be pretty in line with the experiences here as you can tell from the numerous reviews. Your experience and service greatly rely on which tech you receive and there seems to be only a handful at this location. Overall, I think this salon is good and the owner does care...it just so happened that the tech that was assigned to perform my girlfriend's service was either inexperienced and/or not prepared to complete the work. read more

Just no. I went in wanting a simple Solar American manicure. I told the owner three times that I wanted a Solar American. She started the process of removing my current set, explaining that I would need a new full set. She got up while my fingers were soaking in acetone and left. A second tech took over and again, I explained three times that I wanted a Solar American manicure - sheer, natural pink. I don't know what was lost in translation but the pink Solar powder was on the workstation next to me. This second tech went on a search, looking and looking for the powder. She came back with a jar of white powder - I haven't gotten a Solar American in a very long time so I thought this might be something new and I confirmed again, stating I wanted a sheer pink Solar American manicure. She assured me that's what I was getting. She began working on my nails and asked what shape and length I wanted. I said square, not very long and slightly curved - I reiterated that I wanted the curve to look NATURAL. The nail tech next to mine had the exact curve I wanted and I pointed it out and they spoke and I thought it was understood. Again, I explained I wanted very natural looking nails with a slight curve. I also added that I would like them to be slightly thick because I was clumsy and I didn't want them to break. No problem. Problem. First, about halfway done with the acrylic, I realize this powder is opaque white (made by CMD). I then see that the nails are unnaturally thick - HUMPED in the center of each nail. I thought she would file them down because every other nail technician I've ever worked with has shaped them, but when I reminded her I only wanted a Solar American NATURAL manicure, she again assured that's what I was getting. She lied. My nails looked like miniature eggs. There was a short-lived, very unattractive style of acrylic nails a few years ago called bubble nails - that's what I got. I could not get past this matte white humps of powder so I told her they had to be painted sheer, natural pink. Now I have sheer pink humps that could not look LESS natural. By the time it was over, I was late for a dinner and my nailbeds were sore and bruised. And to add insult to injury, they charged me $65 for this mess I didn't ask for! Never again. EVER! I thought it was cool that there was an iPad to check yourself in while also being able to select who you want to do your nails. Since I never been here before I selected "Whoever is available". I didn't get into a chair until 6p I think. It definitely took awhile. During my wait I was offered something to drink and was given the Shellac colors (so many) to choose from for my nails. Selena did my nails and she did great! She was very meticulous and took her time. Some of my real nails broke and she added some tips to make them all match of course. I went as a walk in and they were very friendly and courteous. I was asked if I could wait about 30 minutes and I said yes. It was great that they could work me in. They directed me to some colors so that I could select what I wanted and after about five minutes I went ahead and sat down to wait. Sigh. A year ago I rated the place 5 stars. My experience over the past two months leaves me re-posting at 2 stars. Rose is still awesome, but beyond her I'm unhappy and will probably look elsewhere soon. I religiously made, and kept appointments. Three consecutive times I had to wait 30-45 minutes past my appointment. So I started just walking in, as they seem to help those folks more quickly than appointments. Today I specifically looked around at the staff to choose who I wanted to request. Many unknown new faces & I told the receptionist I wanted someone I knew. She announced to me who would help me - not only an unknown but someone I'd seen be sullen and hurried with another customer on my most recent visit. I decided to give her a chance. Sophia quickly cut my nails way too short after I told her "a little shorter" than what I came in with, and nipped my cuticles enough with a drill to cause pain on not one, but four fingers. Then when I attempted to make an appt for next visit so I would get someone I liked, I was told that person was no longer there. The woman who did them today hovered over the receptionist and rudely informed me "Anyone can do your nails ma'am." Disappointing to be at a place where Kim, Rose, Daniel and Selena have always been attentive, remembered my name & checked several times while doing my nails to make sure I was happy with the length, color and shape. read more

My friend and I came here because of the excellent reviews. My experience was ok, hers was horrible. We walk in an hour and a half before closing on a Sunday without an appointment. The customer checks in on an iPad at the front where you can select the name of the technician you would prefer to do the service or whoever is available first. The young lady at the front kept asking us what kind of service we would like done at least three times. Being asked the same thing three times in a row was a turn off, if you can't remember write it down. Choosing nail colors was a pain since they don't have their colors in any order like other better places do. The regular and gel nail colors were supposedly numbered the same but it's all for naught since they're not arranged accordingly. Someone else made a comment about how they try to up-sell services here. That was true in my friend's case since they readied a pedicure station for her even after she's told them that she only wants a manicure. Her manicure on the other hand was a nightmare since the nail tech kept cutting her and she of course didn't like that. For myself I got a pedicure and manicure done at the same time. The pedi was ok but the manicure was just below ok. She didn't do a good job with my cuticles. I believe that this led to my gel manicure peeling off from the nail bed only a week after getting it done. The place is not bad. It's just not impressive enough for a 5-star review. It's also possible I didn't get the good nail techs that day. read more

Soooo... I had to insert my finger into acetone in order for him to fix. It burned like FIRE. #3... nail that was redone was still not right and that finished product left me feeling like damn I gotta wait 2 weeks to take them off and start over. My nails have become healthier and stronger than ever thanks to her. She knows what I need when I walk in the door. Also, all the staff is fantastic. Definitely my fave place for a pedicure.
