Exceptionally disappointed. To walk out of a salon paying $200 and feel like you wish you hadn't gone at all is a complete disgrace. Went in for a simple dip manicure and gel polish change. Was charged for a "design" I didn't ask for and butchered toe nails (I believe when he was hurrying to remove the previous gel, his nail wand nicked the edge of my toe nails should causing it to split. James then (without asking) cut my toe nails. They're so short and jagged, it's embarrassing. My fingers should have been almond shaped, but they appear to be round on more than half of them- all different lengths. Bebe did my daughters (child's) mani/pedi as she has many times. Unfortunately after paying $100 (shellac upcharge for both hands and feet and $30 in "designs") we won't be back. Spoke to the girl at the front for a price breakdown and expressed my dissatisfaction and was met with "will you be paying cash or card ?" Would NOT recommend to anyone! read more

The first time I went I absolutely loved it and wanted to make it my forever spot. The second time I went I showed a picture of a cat-eye burgundy with an outline of glitter and they told me they had no one that could do that design. They asked if I could come the next day but I'm unfortunately too busy that I'm not really able to reschedule time I had already set aside. The whole second visit really left a sore taste in my mouth and I'm not sure if I'll be visiting again. read more

This review is for their wax service. I was seen on a busy Saturday afternoon for an eyebrow wax. I did a walk in and was able to be seen within 10 minutes. The waxing took less than 10 minutes. The wax technician used wax and also plucked the stray hairs. No small scissors were used to tame the eye brows but it was fine. The chair in the wax room was comfortable. The salon is beautiful with many pedicure chairs and seats to do manicures. They offer complimentary beverages such as coffee, sodas and teas. Bags of chips are also complimentary as well. In the future, I will visit during a weekday when it isn't busy. They weren't able to accommodate my pedicure request on this day and they did share that the next availability would be 5 hours from the time I came. I am happy with my eyebrows and would visit again to get them waxed. read more

First time here and they did well! Boyfriend treated and we both got Hot Stones Pedicures and classic manicures. The hot stone pedicures included soak/clean/scrub/trims, they massaged, used a lavender scrub, hand stone massage, with feet wax + hot towel. This was $55 for 55 min, which thankfully was more time on the chair getting massages down! They trimmed and cleaned our hands while our legs and feel were wrapped. I got a classic manicure with French tip gel on my natural nail. During this time the boss lady kept rushing my tech to cater to another customer, wasn't sure if they had an appointment, but the quality of service diminished from my experience when my tech was rushed. Honestly, I was pretty disappointed. I went to get a mani and pedi and was rushed as soon as I walked in the door I mean from picking my service, picking my nail color, and getting a drink!! Not to mention a gel manicure on my real nails would cost me $55. As soon as I picked my services, I had walked over to the wall to pick a color and 3 workers surrounding me... hovering making me feel so rushed. I hadn't been in the store for a total of even 5 min. one of the employees was even rude about me needing another second to figure out what I needed to drink (mind you I was still trying to find my color) she had said "well I'm asking you now what do you want to drink?" Still not knowing what they even had to offer to drink since no one wanted to point me in the right direction for anything. I am not a picky menu/pedi kinda person. Danny did my nails and he was wonderful. I'm a busy lady, I change my polish often and everywhere depending on my mood. I got lost drove by and here I stopped. The salon is really very big and they were packed. I waited maybe 3 minutes. They charged me a minimal fee to change my normal polish and do a mani. They charge was so minimal I left Danny a $20 tip. When I left there were 7 new ladies and 2 gentlemen waiting! Well done Sunflower!!! I will be back for sure read more

I was one of the first customers when Sunflower Nails and Spa opened a year ago. I have only got pedicures here but at first they were among some of the best. Now that they have built up their clientele it's a case of getting too big for their britches attitude. Try to walk in on an idle weekday in the afternoon only to be told it's appt only. That's fine but when you do show up for your scheduled appt you still have to wait 10-20 min. All that aside, the service has become lax and the pedicures are rushed, sloppy, and not up standards. The tipping point for me was my last visit on 1/9/22. My nail tech did nothing the entire time except talk to the other nail tech next to her. The prices here among some of the highest in the city. I don't mind paying more for quality but when the quality and customer service are no longer there it's time to move on. I get that they are trying to be a bougie, upscale "Stone Oak" salon but they are failing their customers. read more

This place is 25 minutes from my home and worth the drive! I hadn't had a pedicure or manicure since February 2020. I moved to Texas a couple of years ago and finally got a good recommendation from a co-worker for a salon, and the enthusiasm on her face when she described this salon won me over, and I was NOT disappointed. As soon as I walked in, the atmosphere was cheery, and the staff friendly, and I was already feeling at home, apprehension subsiding, and looking forward to my treatment. Kevin did my hot stone pedicure and powder dipped nails. I was very pleased and couldn't have asked for anything better! I returned exactly two weeks later for another appointment with Kevin. As I glanced around the salon, while sitting in the massage chair, it seems that everyone else gets the same wonderful treatment and gets beautiful work done. It really is a treat! read more

Cindy gave me a full set, I showed her the design and let her know it didn't have to be exact, she told me that she's got it! She exactly did the design like the picture! We talked about going with the square/round shape and going a little shorter because of my work (I can't have long nails). I've never seen someone be more meticulous when doing my nails. I explained that I wanted a pedicure with someone that specialized in ingrown toenail. The appointment was booked. I was happily surprised with the beauty and cleanliness of the salon. The colors are very vibrant and it's a very bright ambience with spa music in the background. I checked out the bar and saw the beverage menu. I had to ask if they were serving, at which point the receptionist agreed to make me the tequila sunrise. It was good. I liked my technician but he was not the ingrown toe nail specialist I expected. He barely touched my ingrown nail, as if he was afraid. This was my top priority so I was disappointed. But everything else was great. I would have given 5 stars if I felt that they complied with my request because it was the reason for my visit. But most people will find great services here. read more

Update on owners response....first of all it wasn't 11 days when I came back to get may nails fixed jt was 6. Only reason jt was 6 days was because I work from 6-6 Monday-Thursday and get home by 7 your salon is closed by then. Second of all you didn't address your tech soaking my nails in alcohol then acid tone and leaving my skin to peel for several weeks....but that's fine and also your staff telling me to go some where else...I have went some where else and my nails didn't break in 6 days. They look better than ever and I am happy at my new place. Have been a customer since they first opened. Everything was great and wonderful, the passed three visit my nails have broke and didn't last the two weeks all new people have done my nails, the last time the lady soaked my nails in alcohol instead of acid-tone. My skin on my fingers where as if I have never put lotion on in my life they where so dried and peeling. I let them know each time, the last time I was told I can just go some where else to get my nails done to see if they do a better job. I'm in shock. I will never set foot in the door again. Not worth the time and money. Just beware. read more

I wanted to wait a couple weeks to see how my shellac/gel nails held up before I left my review. I had my nails done 2 weeks ago by Cindy (mani and pedi- mani had OPI gel). I work in healthcare so I'm constantly washing my hands and using a ridiculous amount of hand sanitizer. On top of that, I just moved into a new home and I've been cleaning more than usual (hands in soapy water, cleaning products, etc). I'm happy to report that even with all the abuse I put my nails through, I have had very limited lifting and peeling! I have an appointment today with Cindy for a gel manicure. I now live about 30 minutes away but it's worth the trip for me! The salon is very clean, nicely decorated. There is construction (or at least there was) happening next door so it can get a bit loud but that is definitely not the salons fault. They have a ton of colors to choose from and offer a beverage (adult or otherwise). 10/10 would recommend. read more
