    Dave's #2 2 Sliders w/ Mac & Cheese
    Jimmy N.

My only complaint about this location is I never get my full order.. I don't even feel comfortable ordering online for delivery anymore. 3/3 with this location that I'm always missing something. This time I'm missing the Dave's sauce which you pay extra for. I know it's only $.29 for one but that's not the point. If I'm paying for it, I expect it to be part of my meal. Last time I was there which was a couple weeks ago, I was missing the Mac and cheese that I subbed for. The food is great that is why I keep coming back but if this continues, I just might have to stop coming back...

Move over KFC, Popeyes, and Raising Cane's! There's a new king of chicken restaurant in town! I've gotten their food via Uber Eats and take out. I always get the #2 Combo which includes two Hot Chicken Sliders with Fries. Each chicken sandwich is topped with pickles and cole slaw and each combo contains a small container of Dave's sauce and additional pickles. No joke this is the best fried chicken that I've ever had in my life! The chicken was seasoned to perfection. It was spicy, but very delicious at the same time and had the perfect crispy and moist texture. Their menu is small and is basically just tenders, chicken sandwiches, milkshakes, and some sides, but they are good at what they do! The Dave's sauce is also amazing and I put it all over the fries and sandwich. Of note, if you review them on google or check in on yelp, you can get a free soft drink or milkshake. Also, if you download and use their app you can get a free milkshake that way too.

Dave's isn't bad but this time they burnt it and it looked worse in person it was a literal black and red color. Almost like mold. I told the lady it didn't look right. But she said it was like that... I asked if I could get another order that looked a little better or a refund but they chose to just give me a refund lol.

Sliders weee pretty good taste like Popeyes chicken sandwich. The spice level I got was hot, I thought it was pretty spicy and I have a big spice tolerance. The fries were also pretty good nice and crunchy and they give you so much pickles. I wish they gave more kale salad on the sliders

The restaurant is not what I expected. Everyone was ranting and raving about it on social media so I finally got a chance to try and I was not impressed. Everything was very spicy which I do not mind but I just didn't enjoy it. The thing is it was spicy but with no flavor, idk how to describe it. The price for a meal without a drink was wild. However, the guy who took my order was super nice and the place was clean.

Let's be honest - this place is so good that I think they're in danger of raising their prices after everyone finally realizes that they're the best value fried chicken in the game right now. The portions are generous, the flavor is insane (actually let's you get spicey), and the cost is pretty dang reasonable. When you compare to Chick-fil-a, Pop-eyes, or Cane's - they don't have nearly as much flavor and heart (and heartstopping oil) put into the chicken. The place was packed when I visited at 10 PM so can't say service was impeccable, but really don't mind since I came here for the food. I think the chaos of everyone wanting a piece is part of the vibe and the hype because the cult following is going. I definitely recommend if you are looking to compare fried chicken in the area.

Two teeny tiny toddler tenders on the no.3 order

Very annoyed with Dave's. Previously they got 5 stars all the way. Today they decided to help me with my diet (thank you) by serving me two kiddie sized tenders for the $15 adult sized price I payed for my meal. The only reason I can think of is that I didn't tip. Not gonna lie, my funds are a bit low right now so I didn't feel obligated to tip particularly when they don't bring the food to you. I'm literally picking it up myself so I don't even know what I'm tipping them for. I'm gonna give them one more chance. I will order from the app and see if they do me the same way. If they do I'm dropping to one star and won't be back. Pro tip: order from the app so that you don't have to tip when going in. Dave, bruh, if you want to charge 20 bucks for a 15 dollar meal just charge 20 bucks. Don't short your customers just because they want to pay the price on the menu. You have no waiters and it's not a sit down restaurant. What service are you tipping for? For the right to not get served a tiny tender from a baby chick that just got hatched? Nah bruh.

Once in a while, I would get cravings for Dave's Hot Chicken and I'm so happy they opened a location in South Boston! Dave's really only has one thing on their menu, chicken tenders, and they do it very well. We visited this branch on a Saturday night and although there wasn't a lot of customers dining in, they had a lot of mobile orders. We got their chicken tenders in the medium and lite mild spice levels with fries. The chicken was delicious, tender, and well flavored. Their spice levels are on the more tolerable side so I would recommend getting a higher spice level if you like the kick but the seasoning is always amazing regardless of spice. The fries are good as well, especially dipped into their special Dave's sauce. This store itself is on the smaller end with some seating. During warmer weather, they also have a number of outdoor seats available. However, your best bet is probably ordering delivery or takeout during their rush hours, which is a bit unfortunate as fried chicken doesn't travel very well. Additionally, the store gets a bit chaotic due to the lack of space when there are a number of people waiting for their orders. I hope that they are able to find a way to rearrange the pick up area for more standing room in the future. All the staff I interacted with are pleasant, especially the person who packaged my order and gave us extra Dave's sauce!

We ordered the cheese topokki (soft rice cake, fish cake, vegetable, & mozzarella in Korean spicy sauce) & the beef bulgogi bowl (fried marinated beef, vegetables, steamed rice & side of soup). The cheese topokki was just as good as we remembered - chewy, flavorful, comforting, & a little bit weird. The cheese was poorly distributed, but it was still very tasty. The beef bulgogi bowl was really underwhelming. Firstly, it was very little food. We were promised vegetables, but there were only a few scarce onions & zucchini pieces mixed in. It was also dry. It was devoid of moisture & sauce, so we added some from the fridge at home. The side of soup was a joke. It filled only about 2/3 of the container & looked so sad, we wondered if it was the sauce that we we so desperately needed. Nope, just a meager amount of watered down miso soup. So the conclusion - great topokki, sub-par bulgogi, non-existent soup.

The price for the portion size was a great value and we ended the night feeling very full and even had to pack up an entire container of the hotpot for two that we didn't finish. Overall, we had a great time and I can't wait to come back again. This might be my new favorite Korean food spot in the Boston area.

I'm so glad Uyghur cuisine has made its way to Boston…read more I was first introduced to it years ago at Silk Road in Cambridge, and I've been hoping more Uyghur restaurants would open ever since. Jahunger truly delivers. The restaurant immediately sets the mood. Candlelight, the scent of incense, traditional instruments on the walls, and pothos plants growing from mounted glass jars all make the space feel warm and inviting. One warning: unless you arrive around 6 p.m. or earlier, expect a wait. (It's popular.) Oh, and the food is worth it. The leek and egg dumplings tasted homemade in the best way: slightly rustic, fresh, and delicious. The hand-pulled noodles are the stars. Every noodle dish we ordered had the perfect chewy texture. My favorite was the Laghman noodles, though the Jahunger noodles were a close second with their rich spices and satisfying heat. The mee fen and stir-fried green beans both packed a respectable kick and leaned a little salty, but not enough to keep me from happily polishing them off. Don't forget the tea! It's beautiful to look at, filled with all sorts of ingredients (Chinese jujubes!), and only lightly sweet, which I appreciated. Then came the showstopping honey cake. The cake itself was fluffy, while the filling had a firmer, almost sticky texture with deep caramelized flavors that reminded me of burnt caramel in the best possible way. Paired with what tasted like coffee ice cream, it was the perfect ending to the meal. Jahunger is one of those restaurants that makes you want to come back before you've even paid the bill. I'm so glad Jahunger made it to Cambridge; the Boston food scene is richer because it's here.

The Yellow Rice was likely seasoned with turmeric and saffron, making it very flavorful. The basmati rice grains were distinct but not too dry, perfect for mixing with the sauce. The White Garlic Sauce wasn't overpowering; it mainly added a touch of acidity, which, along with the cool, sweet corn, helped to cut through the greasiness.
