Best BBQ near the Lexington area hands down. Pulled chicken is juicy and not dry, as are the smoked wings. Brisket sandwich was also very tender and flavorful. Sides are also great (Dave's fries, Baked Beans, Potato Salad, and Cole Slaw), definite did not skimp on quality. All of the food was even great after a 50 min DoorDash wait

Absolutely blown away by The Local Feed in Georgetown!…read more We rolled in with a party of 10 which included a baby and two toddlers on a packed Friday night around 7 PM and I honestly didn't expect to be seated that quickly, but they had us at a table in under 15 minutes. The place was hopping, yet the service never missed a beat. Our waiter was an absolute rock star--super attentive, friendly, and on top of everything without ever hovering. He made the whole experience feel effortless. Now, the food... holy cow. I went with the ribeye and it was tremendous--perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. The sides were just as impressive: those roasted carrots were sweet and tender with a great herb taste, the Brussels sprouts were next-level and addictive, and the cornbread was warm, moist, and honestly one of the best I've ever had, whatever that butter was that was served with it, amazing. My wife tried a bite of the fillet and literally said, "This is one of the best steaks I've ever eaten." She wasn't exaggerating. Everything was cooked with care and came out hot and fresh. This is the kind of meal that makes you want to come back the very next week. If you're anywhere near Georgetown, do yourself a favor and book a table at The Local Feed. You will not be disappointed. We're already planning our next visit!

We sat mostly on the front patio with a table or two inside later in the evening. Everyone ordered their own food and drinks. Adam and his bar staff took great care of us. They got the first rounds of drinks taken care of then took food orders. The deviled eggs were popular, plentiful, and delicious. I got the fried chicken (again) with a side of real mashed potatoes and gravy. It was fantastic (again). I really should try something else sometime. But others did and I heard no complaints. They serve breakfast any time and a couple got omelettes and cleaned their plates, raving about the hashbrowns (no meat fat to cook, so vegetarian friendly). All the cocktails were good. New seasonal menu had just started and the Marmalade Sour got good reviews. They have a larger patio out back and an ample dining room. It's a great stop when in Georgetown. Pics from my last visit but still accurate.

The chicken breast itself was exceptionally large, tender, and juicy perfectly fried the Nashville sauce on it was hot, but not too hot you know what I mean and the coleslaw wasn't runny and have too much mayonnaise. It was just a really good solid cold coleslaw. The brioche bun was excellent. My wife's Cuban sandwich was amazing and my mother-in-law's hamburger was very good as well. The only thing I will say is that the service from the young man that we had was just average. It took us a lot of effort, joking around with him, asking his suggestions and recommendations to get him to even smile I would suggest that he acts like he wants to be working and not come across to his customers like we're a bother to him. If that wouldn't have been the case, this would've been a 5+ star review.

There was no parking in their parking lot, so we had to drive down the hill and try our luck with street parking, then walk back up about 5-7 minutes to get into the restaurant. A bit of a pain, especially since the restaurant was only about 50% full. The host or person at the front desk was hiding - sitting on the floor on his phone. We had to lean over the counter to ask him to get up so we could ask him to seat us. He ended up being our server as well, after he literally argued with a coworker who walked up while we were inquiring about a table. "I just took the last two damn tables, isn't it your turn?" doesn't inspire confidence that you're a welcome guest. I ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown. When in Rome, right? The menu says you can get it with Mornay sauce or Kentucky Hot Brown sauce. I asked the waiter which was better - he said the Hot Brown sauce. Sounds great! It came out with the mornay sauce. It was still good, but I was a wee bit disappointed. My companions enjoyed their meals. I picked up a reasonably priced bottle of Sazerac Rye on the way out, since they didn't have any left at the distillery when I was there earlier in the visit.

After leaving yet another distillery, the ladies in our group wanted to head to Georgetown for some shopping. But before the shopping could begin, we needed lunch. We had stopped at Fava's a few weeks earlier with another group of friends for breakfast, and it was excellent. With that great experience in mind, we decided to try Fava's again, this time for lunch. The décor is classic Old Town Kentucky--exactly the kind of place that brings back childhood memories of small-town restaurants. Charming, comfortable, and familiar. We seated ourselves and looked over the menu. I went with the chili cheese hot dog with fries. My wife and one of our friends chose the open-faced Reuben, and the last member of our group ordered the club sandwich. Every dish was excellent. The club sandwich was so large it required a to-go box. Before leaving, everyone except me ordered pie to go-- Fava's pies are legendary, at least to my wife and me. I skipped dessert this time and immediately regretted missing their ice cream options. We dropped the pies off in the car (it was cold enough outside to keep them safe), and then the ladies headed off to explore the shops of Georgetown. And I cannot leave out the wait staff, very attentive and friendly . This was my second visit to Fava's, and both times have been outstanding. I'm already looking forward to our next "shopping trip" to Georgetown so I can enjoy their food again--and this time, I won't miss out on the ice cream.

This is a Comfort Food Place with friendly people and large portions of really good food at great prices. Cheap drinks. Horse Racing on the TVs, as well as other sports and such. My wife and I went last month on a whim as we were in the area (it's a bit of a drive for us) and ran into 4 people we knew on a Thursday night. It's a small dive of a place, so that was 10% of the crowd. I've been several times for lunch but this was my first dinner. They have a standard menu with a good bit of variety and a lot of great desserts. But, they also have daily specials. For my lunch visits, there are usually 5-8 options and when they're gone, that's it. For dinner... I swear there were 25 options handwritten on the damn chalkboard. It was insane. What do I get!? I got the frog legs. My wife got the standard menu cheeseburger. Both as delicious as the fish platter, the open faced roast beef, and every other thing I've gotten here. Home Cooking my friend, and I mean food you want to eat. This ain't no health club, this ain't no disco, this ain't no foolin' around. It isn't fancy, it isn't pretty, it's old. And, I'd go there 3 nights a week if it was within a 10-minute drive.
