I really like this Cattleman's Roadhouse location. I frequently work in Kentucky and I think I have been to every location in the state. The salad bar is excellent! I enjoy dining in because I love the salad bar. It is always clean, and all the salad ingredients are fresh. A large variety of ingredients and dressings. The dining room is clean and attractive with comfortable seating. Today I didn't have time to dine in so I ordered online for carry out. My food was ready at the quoted time, and everything was prepared to my order. I love the homemade sides, especially the mashed potatoes and green beans. The salmon is always perfectly cooked and flavorful. Employees are friendly and helpful. This restaurant is always busy, no matter what time I stop in. I have been visiting this Cattleman's for probably over 10 years now and never have had a bad experience. We visited them again today and as usual, they knocked it out of the park! Whoever maintains the salad bar is amazing. The vegetables and fruits are always fresh and delicious. Great lunch time specials from a juicy sirloin steak to a delicious chicken wrap! Don't forget their onion rings! The only negative thing about Cattleman's is that there is not one in Richmond, KY or Madison County. We were staying at the Hilton behind Cattleman's and walked over for a bite to eat and a drink. Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. I ordered steak tips and a baked sweet potato and everything tasted delicious. My husband ordered the chili and he loved his food too. Great atmosphere at the bar and the restaurant has a good ambiance throughout. I stopped for lunch while passing through town, I had seen these restaurants but had never eaten at one. The menu was pretty similar to Texas Roadhouse other than the prices are higher and they have a large salad bar. I ordered a hamburger since it was lunch time, my food arrived fairly quickly and was okay but I felt it was overpriced. Our server had several other tables and was spread pretty thin. Considering how busy he was, he was doing as well as he could. The restaurant itself was clean and tidy looking with plenty of tables so the wait was short. All in all my dining experience was pretty good, I felt the prices were a little high and the food quality was okay. While everything was okay, I probably wouldn't eat here again with all of the other choices in the vicinity. read more

This is my third visit to Cattleman's Roadhouse and I have to say each time I visit I like it more. The restaurant is very welcoming, the staff is always extremely courteous and helpful. I have had steak, chicken and last night I ordered the whitefish dinner. I've never been dissatisfied with any of the meals, and the extensive salad bar is always well stocked and clean. The place can be very busy, especially on the weekends. I recommend you arrive earlier rather than late as you will encounter long wait times for a table. But that is not unusual for the popular restaurants in Georgetown. I will definitely return and look forward to dining at Cattleman's again soon. read more

Ordered an 8 ounce filet. It was very small, but the big problem was the texture. It had been over tenderized to the point it instantly turned to mush in your mouth. The flavor wasn't great either. Kind of like sawdust. The manager said that was just how it was. I should have made him taste it. My wife's ribeye was great and our server did a good job. read more

We both ordered the unlimited salad bar and both of us had the smothered chicken with sides. The salad bar was clean and the salads were fresh crisp and at the right temperature. Our main courses arrived quickly and the chicken was hot and juicy. Our side items were delicious as well and I even ordered 10 hot wings too go. The wings were also delicious. WOW!! The restaurant at the hotel was closed due to renovation, and were we glad it was. We walked across the parking lot and found spots at the bar. The service was great, but if you're a steak lover..... the rib eye might have been the best I've ever had. The flavor was off the hook, and the side mash potato dish complimented it perfectly. I am gluten free and had several options. I had the filet which was cooked perfectly!! The broccoli was cooked just long enough to not be crunchy or mushy. My husband got the sirloin and said it was almost as tender as a filet! He also enjoyed the salad bar. Our server Faith was incredible and very attentive! Well this is a first! I've never eaten at the same restaurant more than once during the same vacation. We've eaten here four times on this vacation. That's how good it is. All four times we had the daily special, which is a great value. About $15. You get an entree, a side, AYCE salad bar, and their delicious rolls! The salad bar is packed with goodies, including the best broccoli salad. We had the steak, country fried steak, and the bourbon glazed steak specials. I ordered my glaze on the side so I could taste the beef. But even better than the food is the service. Sally and Sean are the best servers! They're smart, efficient, and super friendly! We were camping at the Kentucky Horse Park and decided to come here for supper. I ordered the 12 oz Ribeye (medium) with green beans and my son ordered chicken tenders with fries. I am eating low carb so I didn't try the dinner rolls but my son ate all of them so they were probably good. The meal came out about 10 minutes. The steak was tender and had a good flavor but the seasoning was a little too heavy for my taste. My son said the chicken tenders and steak fries were good. Our friends went ahead and got a booth to beat the church crowd this afternoon. While they waited, the waitress got their drinks; but refused to bring any rolls until the entire party was at the table. When we got to the table, the waitress (Kelsey) came right away. Both my husband and I asked for unsweetened tea with no ice and a side of lemon. She brought us iced unsweetened tea with the side of lemon. When I mentioned that we asked for no ice, husband comments and said because our teeth are sensitive to the ice. She did bring back unsweetened tea with no ice and asked if we were ready to order. Asked for her to come back so we could look over the menu. Through the entire visit, she faithfully kept all of our drinks full. I had the BBQ Chicken Breast with broccoli. Asked for the BBQ sauce on the side, in case I didn't care for it. A different waitress that brought our food, didn't bring the BBQ; and to be honest, I didn't want to have them worry about it, so I said not to worry about it. The chicken was on the dry side and chewy; but it had a good flavor. The broccoli was plain and steamed, but ok. Next time, I will try something else on the menu. Hubby had the Cattleman's B+B Cheddar Burger. He felt like the burger was more well done than it should have been because it was falling apart in pieces. The bacon pieces could have been bigger; but the fries were ultimately excellent. My friend, Pam, had the Haystack Sirloin. She said that it was cooked to her perfection, delicious, tender and juicy. She loved that her potato wasn't dried out, since there is a tendency that getting potatoes at restaurants are dried out. My friend, Lisa, had the Wild Bill ribeye. Her steak was full of flavor but was much more dried out than she anticipated. She said that she asked for the steak to be burnt; so she thought it was her fault for the dryness of the steak. Even with it being dry, she would still get this item again. My friend Jerry got Cattleman's White Fish Platter. He thought from the picture that the fish battered would have much flavor; but he was disappointed to find that the picture didn't match what he thought the flavor should be. He won't ever get this particular dish again; and he kept thinking he should have gotten the Cattleman's B+B Cheddar Burger. I've been told from plenty of people that the only Cattleman's Roadhouse that is good is the one in Frankfort. I like to be able to make my own assessment; and I have to agree that those people are 100% right. I won't be coming back to this Cattleman's Roadhouse any time in the future. read more

Fat Man Reviews ventured up to Georgetown to try Cattleman's Roadhouse. Cattleman's is a down-home steakhouse featuring hand-cut meats, burgers & other American eats in a casual space. There are 8 locations throughout central Kentucky. We started with the Buffalo Bites. These come as an order of 6 boneless wings in buffalo sauce. They give you good-sized pieces that are completely covered in sauce. I found the chicken to be tender, juicy, and fried with a nice crispy bite. The sauce is mild and salty with a butter note and a slight heat kick at the end. Ranch or Blue cheese is an option for dipping. I got the Wild Bill's Ribeye, rare, with a loaded baked potato (butter, sour cream, bacon, and green onions). My steak had good grill marks; it was cooked closer to medium rare but was very tender with very little fat. The steak did not have any seasoning, and it could have used at least some salt and pepper to add to the beef flavor. The potato was good-sized, baked about perfectly, and topped with ample toppings making it indeed loaded. Bread is an option with meals as well. My fiancé tried the Daily special, a 6oz sirloin, medium rare, with green beans as her side. Hers was cooked a little under medium rare but had good grill marks while being juicy and tender. As with my steak, hers had no seasoning at all. The green beans were tender and cooked with pork but had no seasoning. Salt and pepper are available on the table, but seasoning food during preparation is an absolute must. Cattleman's menu offers several appetizers, soup and salad, steaks in several cuts, and local entrée favorites typical of a southern steak house. They offer a full bar and several beers on tap. Our server was friendly and attentive. The Fat Man says that Cattleman's Roadhouse is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin. read more

Checked Yelp and this restaurant was ranked 2nd highest in Georgetown. My party was seated upon entering, however the table and booth were not cleaned. We actually wiped the table ourselves. Further, the menus were very distressed and certain sections were unreadable. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. She ensured that we had everything we needed. This was my first time at this Cattleman's location although I have eaten at other locations. I stopped for a solo lunch after picking up an order at a nearby store and I was not disappointed. Gavin provided excellent service and perfectly mixed my 60/40 sweet/unsweet tea. The entrée arrived almost as soon as I sat down from getting my salad, but it remained hot while I finished the lettuce and broccoli salads. Not a big fan of the roadhouse type steak restaurants, but after getting into Georgetown after a long drive, Cattleman's is literally across the restaurant from the hotel we were staying in, so it was the best choice for an easy dinner. All the salad was as green as it could be, and there were tons of toppings. And the potato salad and broccoli salad were very good. Systems went down, customers couldn't check out. I assumed table orders were locked. Okay, stuff happens. But what I can't get over was the complete breakdown of customer service. Waitress disappeared with no updates. No communication about our order, FIVE TIMES asked FOUR different wait staff for drink refill. I was not a happy camper as I fi ally asked (with drink cup in hand) at the host stand. This after a short'Yeah we're getting it' as 2 young girls sslllooowwwlllyy moved tables. Zero sense of urgency. That gentlemen at the host stand delivered quick, and with an apology. After at least 45 min asked about our meal again to a 5th waitress! My prime rib potato delivered hot, prime rib clearly had sat under a heat lamp quite awhile. Last of the meal was the boom, boom shrimp, delivered hot 10 minutes later. Turns out Shayla was supposed to be our waitress, another "took her order" (our table) and went MIA. The two young girls with no energy were clearly not taught customer service. Shayla made sweet apologies, but as I told her....this was a management's lack of training and NOT a customer centric wait staff.
