The bourbon sauce was delightful, and the potatoes were sliced very thin. While I usually don't enjoy bourbon-flavored items like ice cream, this sauce was exceptional. I'm going to be honest. The outside nor the inside has a lot going for it but the food is delicious!! If my coworkers didn't highly recommend it I would have kept driving past it. This place has a small menu but they do everything right! I highly recommend the bourbon chicken over rice, Philly cheese and the burger. And you get a lot of food. Just letting you know. Since it's a small little place the service is pretty quick. The only reason I didn't do 5/5 (which I wish I could do a 4 1/2.) is because of you get the bourbon chicken the sauces spills out in the bag. Like a lot of it.. so you have to be really careful not to make a mess of you or your vehicle. I was pre-warned by my coworkers so I knew. After months of hearing how good this place is from several different co workers we stopped on the way home. One of us got the small order of bourbon chicken and noodles on the side, the other got a Philly cheese steak sandwich and Cajun fries. The portions are more then generous. The food came out piping hot and the service was quick. I have to say it was really rea lly good! I'll definitely be back again. It's a no frills store front but looks are deceiving! First visit to Georgetown Cafe today, and it couldn't have been a better experience. I when I announced that I had never been in before and asked what their specialties were, I was given multiple samples to try. I tasted both Cajun chicken and bourbon chicken and liked both, and they suggested I get half and half. In both cases the chicken (chopped up thigh pieces, from what I could tell) was moist and very flavorful. It was served over a (probably too) large portion of spicy rice and steamed vegetables. The vegetables, which was primarily cabbage, we're good but could have benefited from a little salt. That said, the cabbage was tender and juicy. If this entree is any indication of the quality of the rest of the menu, I might find myself here for a quick takeout lunch regularly. read more

Find Dining yet again, like what's this little place grilling chicken on the barrel barbecue like a county fair just aromatizing the whole neighborhood? Why is there a line out the door and cars pulling in and out like a car wash and all these men in work crew uniforms and professionals from the factory offices? And then you go in and see they have every chicken option you can imagine in any combination with vegetables or beans or rice and more, they have philly cheese steak that looks like the ones on tv, the prices are low and the single portion has fed my family of two adults and two small eating girls more than twice . Back in the summer, my nephews would show up with these containers smelling oh so good....I ask, where did you get that....G'town Cafe. OK. Where is it....across from the park. I go, walk in, there is curry and cajun starring at me.....I can't make up my mind. One of the owners, said, "I'll give you some of each, how's that. I said sure. That combination surprised me! It is now "my" signature dish. Although I love them separate, together, they were music to my taste buds. The combination of flavors rocked my buds! That's what I'd order each time. Nice variety of options like pitas, burritos, bowls sandwiches (even a burger) with types of chicken and steak and fish that you can get with rice or cajun fries, etc. Hole in the wall place with nowhere to sit but the wait time wasn't long. This place is incredible. Driving by you wouldn't think anything of it, but this is one of my top five places in Lexington to eat. They don't have any places to sit down inside so you have to take it home with you but it still tastes so fresh even after getting it home. This place may look like a hole-in-the-wall but it is amazing. The portions are huge and the food is so flavorful. I'll try to snap a pic of mine to add next time, it's just so good I can't help but dive right in soon as I get the Chance.
