First visit to Georgetown Cafe today, and it couldn't have been a better experience. I when I announced that I had never been in before and asked what their specialties were, I was given multiple samples to try. I tasted both Cajun chicken and bourbon chicken and liked both, and they suggested I get half and half. In both cases the chicken (chopped up thigh pieces, from what I could tell) was moist and very flavorful. It was served over a (probably too) large portion of spicy rice and steamed vegetables. The vegetables, which was primarily cabbage, we're good but could have benefited from a little salt. That said, the cabbage was tender and juicy. If this entree is any indication of the quality of the rest of the menu, I might find myself here for a quick takeout lunch regularly.

Omg Hands down they are worth the money and drive! The food is so good I've been craving it. I plan to try everything I can on the menu. The Portions are huge and great Customer service. It's a small restaurant packing a lot of power! I've been recommending them to all my friends and family. GO TRY IT!! Promise you will not be disappointed........

This place is awesome. Nice guys at the counter and the good smells so good. They have banana pudding and cheesecake too.

Buffalo chicken, with Cajun potatoes and green beans. The guy was very nice giving me samples to try out. Great good and great hospitality.

It was one of my husbands favorite lunch spots. They are now closed. Just wanted to notify the next person who thinks of going.

Food came out real quick and has great flavours at a great price point and I enjoy that you can do half size so you can try more than one. I ordered the crawfish etoufee. So many different hot sauce flavours to try and get them in a little sauce container the bread oh my God I could devour that so good the whole meal. Honestly, the flavours were delicious. If I'm ever in this area again, I'm definitely gonna come back.

We ordered the Maque Choux and the Hog Wild Red Chili this recent visit and did a half-and-half combo with extra garlic bread (highly recommend for soaking up every last bite). We chose rice as our base, but they also offer grits, pasta, or jambalaya. Make sure you ask to sample a few options before committing to your option Everything was flavorful, hearty, and clearly made with care. The staff is incredibly friendly and very patient especially with me asking a million questions about their various spice levels in their dishes. For dessert, we tried the bread pudding, which was good, but the peanut butter pie was absolutely amazing, it didn't even make it home before it was gone. They do have beer options here as well. The ambiance inside is very casual and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. We will definitely be coming back again and again. Highly recommend!

I ordered the artichoke and mushroom with Parmesan cheese sauce, potato salad, and Andy's Cajun Korn pudding. Portion sizes are very large! My entrée was large enough for two meals. My husband ordered the red beans with smoked sausage and the gumbo. He also said that was delicious. When you go in you order at the counter and then there are a lot of sauces to choose from to put over your dish if you like. I recommend the garlic hot sauce. The dining area is spacious and decorated with unique art. I'm excited to try the bbq sandwiches and the chili dogs in the future.

The Good I consider myself some what of a seafood boil "snob" being that I lived in Las Vegas around some of the best restaurants in the world and have had seafood all over the country. There isn't any seafood in the small town I live in so every time I go out of town for work I stop to get seafood. The appeal of the Storming Crab: this place is located just down from the Fayette Mall which use to be a booming shopping center. The restaurant has a HUGE Fiberglass Crab on the outside of the building and hip graffiti painting outside. Inside the restaurant reminds you of being on a ship if it was autographed by everyone you know. The host was nice and so was my server who was super sweet. The Bad (?): I had been here a few times before and remember being disappointed because of the butter reminded me of the jug of melted popcorn butter instead of real melted butter. - However this time it didn't taste that way so I'm not sure if they changed it but it really won me back as a customer. The Good: Something I did find today that I have never found before is their seafood bread! I don't know what kind of witchcraft it is but it is one of the best things I've had. Think cheddar bay biscuits x100! Overall the Storming Crab is a solid choice. As someone who is a seafood person, if you get a boil, and know how to peel seafood, get the head ON shrimp vs. the head off- it should be fresher and more meat.
