Me and son love bbq. We will definitely do a little traveling for good bbq. My son found this place in Georgetown online. We went because the bbq places have not been that good in Lexington. We shared the brisket platter with coleslaw and ranch bbq fries. The fries were cooked to perfection, but the ranch was none existent and the bbq sauce barely made it to the plate. I hardly ever write an online review of a restaurant but today that's changing! My wife and I are from out of town and wanted southern BBQ and found Dave's Blazin BBQ in Georgetown, KY. We both had the classic BBQ sandwich and it's literally the best BBQ we have ever had. We talked with one of the owners named Steven who smokes the pork all night in order to get the moist and most delicious pork you'll ever taste. Their own BBQ sauce was mild and sweet and the Cole Slaw I had with it was as good as I've ever had as well. My wife and I went in today for lunch to go. Greeted friendly enough by a person taking orders and serving the dine in orders to one couple. We ordered and went to sit and wait. A customer right behind us orders from the same person. Then a couple behind him are waited on my the counter person. And you guessed it, in walks a customer and is immediately waited on. Ok, fine ... but what about the orders waiting in the pass through from the kitchen to the dining area? When are those going to be served to the customers waiting? The kitchen is outpacing the person taking the orders so there they are in all the styrofoam glory just waiting and waiting and waiting. Apparently the boss walks out of the back and immediately tells people working there in a very loud and authoritarian voice, "who's food is who's food?" The original order taker was able to communicate what goes to who. In the end we did receive what we ordered, which alone is a positive. We had a way oversalted potato salad. So oversalted it was inedible. We had the Parmasean Fries they were real good. We also had the BBQ Chicken Nachos that were ok and we also had a small order of pork ribs. When we went at ~6:00pm on a Saturday, they only had one kind available, which lucky for us was brisket. It was excellent! Our picky child liked the Mac and cheese, which was no frills, just the way they like it. It's in a strip mall, so plenty of parking. Order at the counter style with a clear menu. We're glad that we found this BBQ place for our lunch. We tried the brisket and the pulled pork both of which are delicious along with two sides - the creamed corn, which is really good and the slaw which was pretty basic and didn't seem homemade. The spicy sauce isn't really spicy, but not too sweet and tastes good. This place is a deal for what you get, plus the interior seating area is up-to-date and they have a large T.V. you can watch while you're there. Friendly service as well. read more

We tried Dave's for the very first time today. It was excellent. We tried the Korean sticky ribs, brisket, turkey & pulled pork. All are highly recommended. The sauces are good also. The sides were pretty good. The fries were a big hit. The potato salad was well received. Green beans, corn pudding & baked beans were all okay or pretty good according to my crew. We also had a BLT salad. The only complaint there is that their ranch is very thin/watery. The flavor was ok of what you could taste of it though. I would have given them 5 stars if they hadn't forgotten the banana pudding. If they were busy, it would have been more understandable, but I came in at 3:30pm on a Wednesday. There was only one table eating at the time. The place was clean and quiet (obviously) but seemed like a nice place to come in and eat lunch or dinner. Overall I would highly recommend. Now for the good part. The special was absolutely amazing. The wings were smoked to perfection. The spicy sauce worked well but I don't like overly tomato based sauces (at least it thats what it tasted like to me) so WHEN I return I would get them with the sauce on the side.
