I cannot believe this man is still in business! I wish we would have read the reviews first but were referred by someone. He made repairs he did not have authorization to do after 4200 dollars in supposed repairs my husband drives off his lot with the engine light on and a broken air conditioner that worked perfectly before hand. When he took the car back Dave claimed another 5400 in repairs. My husband said I'm picking it up for a second opinion. Dave said well you me 1700 in repairs. We said those repairs were not authorized. I called him for proof of authorization of those repairs since the previous two repairs were confirmed via signature. He proceeded to spout off laws he does not understand then proceeded to send us a voice recording of the "authorization." Which was just him spouting off numbers that did not add up to his claims and their was no authorization. Sounds like he tries to bully people with this BS because they do not know better. The law clearly states it must be a transcript or copy of explained repairs to consumer and authorized. He is now holding our car hostage for CASH ONLY payment of 1700 and charging us 40 dollars a day for impound that is on his lot. We are filing a civil suit but looking at all these reviews I wouldn't be surprised if we couldn't file a class action law suit and shut this guy down. read more

My ram diesel had a loose injection pump that completely destroyed my engine. While waiting 3 hours for a tow truck I researched diesel repair in the SLC area. ( unfortunately I did not look at yelp. ). I wish I had. The repair would be completed in 2 weeks including some upgrades to be completed while the engine was out. I arranged a flight home and would return in 2 weeks. The vehicle was not started for 2 weeks and another 2 before it was semi completed. The vehicle runs like garbage and was told to replace the injectors for $4800. They were done 6 months prior and worked perfectly before entering this shop. I had the turbo replaced while everything was removed and charged $650 in labor for something that had to be removed and replaced as part of the engine re and re. The power steering/ brake assist system was removed and replaced. When the fluid was replaced the system was not bled. When the truck was returned to me the pump was screaming and the steering and brakes barely worked because of the air. I was told the pump was bad and they could replace it. I added fluid and worked the wheel for 20 minutes with the cap off until the air was bled. Works perfectly. I try and discuss my bill and concerns and they leave the room mid sentence. The owner of this place may be a competent engine builder but knows nothing about the surrounding systems. He also will take as much money as he possibly can with the justification he's busy and can get it. If there is no resolution I will go to my credit card company and hire someone to get accurate unpaid reviews to every site possible regarding this shop. read more

I've taken my Sprinter to Dave's twice, since they operate a website claiming to specialize in Sprinter maintenance. I will start by saying I think they are competent at the repairs and maintenance that they've done. My low score for them is based on pricing. I had them replace my fuel filter, which is an easy maintenance item on these vans. They charged $122 for the part, $150 for the labor, and an additional $10 to use the factory scan tool to reset the fuel system. This is an insane price for this. It would literally be cheaper for me to have gone to the Mercedes dealer to get this repair. Therefore, based on Dave's pricing (not their expertise or competence) that Sprinter owners should get service done elsewhere, including the dealer as it could be cheaper. read more

Dave is a horrible person! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! I brought my daughters car in and told them I had already taken it to the dealership and they told me I need to have cylinder 3 repaired. They told me they were going to charge me $130 diagnostic fee to see what's going on. When they called me 3 days later they told me it was the 3rd cylinder that was leaking compression!! Really No kidding!! Pretty sure I told them that when I dropped it off. So they were charging me $130 for nothing.. pretty sure they didn't even look at the car at this point. Then he calls and says we need to to a compression test and that's going to cost $400 I asked why so much? The guy Woods told me well it like going to the Dr we have to figure out what's wrong. So I figure my daughter has $600 for repairs I guess we have to get it done! Then Dave the owner calls me and tells me its going to cost $8500 to get into the engine. Not even a repair just to get into the engine!! I started crying and he was such a jerk he kept stating my name over and over and says I'm not listening to this call me back when you gather yourself and let us know what you want to do and hangs up! I text Woods and told him I did some research and a compression test shouldn't be more than $100 and a new engine is $3k with a 10 year warranty why is he charging $8500 just to look at it? He asks if I want them to continue or not? Of course not!!! So I go the next day to pick up my daughters car and he tells me cash only! CASH ONLY? I don't have cash! I have a CC. It doesn't state anywhere that it's cash only.. He states if I don't pick my car up by 5:00 with cash he's impounding my car on his lot for $40 a day. So I called the police. They come out while I talk to Dave. The police told me that they know Dave well, that they are called weekly by other suckers like me for the same reason. Except most cases are a lot more money like $8k and ends up keeping their cars because they don't have $8k in cash.. He waits until you pick up your car then he'll tell you he's only accepting cash!! That's no accident! It's his way of making more money onyou! So then I come in with what I came up with and he tells me he's not accepting my cash because it's 50 -1 bills and some 5's mostly 20's. But he won't take it and tells me I'm trespassing on his property. So I had to go to the bank to get him larger bills so that I could get my daughters car before he sabotaged it worse than he already had. read more

BEWARE!! NEVER. SET. FOOT. IN. THIS. SHOP. Avoid this shop at all costs, do not trust them. This is a very evil institution run by a very sick man. Summary: I have never had worse service. They are extremely corrupt and are only concerned with lying to you and stealing your money. Avoid them at all costs. They are not here to help you and will say anything to prolong your stay in order to keep charging you. My family and I are appalled by the service we received but have learned that the owner has a very serious mental illness which results in pathological lying and no remorse for taking advantage of clients. When Dave and his crew find someone that can be easily taken advantage of, they try their best to trick them into paying absurd amounts of money. _________________________________________________________________ My story: My sprinter stopped in Wells Nevada on the way from CA to WI. I was helped by a local mechanic to get it starting again. He said he couldn't help me fix the problem, but advised me to drive to the nearest sprinter mechanic in Utah. I found this place online and drove straight there because I couldn't turn off the vehicle; there was no guarantee it would start again and the mechanic in Nevada thought it had to do with my starter going out. I arrived an hour before they closed and I was told that they would try their best to fix it that day by Miles, the man behind the desk. I was told I would be given a ride to the nearest hotel if it would take longer. My family and I waited on the property, and after the hour and a $189 "initial fee to access the vehicle" I was told all was good! What a miracle. They had been able to start my car 12 times in a row, and the problem was due to the kill switch on my vehicle affecting its ability to start. They dismantled my kill switch wiring, and apparently, the car was working well again. There was another problem though, they told me my radiator was very messed up and they advised me not to drive my sprinter. For $2,000 they could fix the replace the radiator for me. I couldn't afford the fix, so I took the "risk" and told them I had to keep moving. They gave me my keys and we left. My family and I loaded into our vehicle and tried to start the car, but it wouldn't work. We walked to the shop but they had locked the door! We called and Miles, the man behind the desk, and he said everyone had already left. We told him our car didn't start and he said that he could at it tomorrow. I was surprised and asked about a ride to a hotel as promised when we first arrived because surely in the 3 minutes it had taken us to walk our car and find out it had not in fact been fixed, that he or the other workers there weren't far from the shop yet and could give us a ride, but no, Miles told us no one was near the shop or could help us to a hotel. I should have known then these were evil men. They had already charged me almost $200 and lied to me twice. We were left stranded and had nothing to show for the money I had given them. They took advantage of me and my family when we were most vulnerable. The next morning we arrived back and they taught us how to use a broom to start our car. We were instructed on how to bang on the starter through the top of the engine requiring us to prop open our hood each time we wanted to start the car. Alternately we could also get on the ground under the car and also try to bang the starter hard enough that the car would start after ignition. I was very frustrated and asked for our money back but they would not give me a refund. Apparently Dave the owner is very mentally ill and uses a man named Miles behind the counter to deal with clients because Miles can talk sweetly and put on a good face. Miles aids Dave in the corruption of innocent people needing their vehicles fixed. First, they charge a $189 initial fee for a check, then they find another "problem" but one that they can fix for you if you have a few thousand dollars to spare. They are incompetent in fixing vehicles and can only make money for lying to you and then miraculously fixing a problem you never had in the first place. They took my money and did not fix anything. I paid $189 for a lesson on how to use a broom on my starter. When I arrived home to my mechanic in WI, I was charged a total of $200 to flush out my radiator and patch a small crack I had, as well as $200 to replace my starter. There was nothing major wrong with my vehicle and I was lucky to not have fallen into the trap that would have cost me a few thousand dollars. When Dave and his crew find someone that can be easily taken advantage of, they try their best to trick them into paying absurd amounts of money. This is an illegal operation that I hope is shut down immediately. I feel terrible for all the people who have been taken advantage of by this very sick man. I took my express van in to have a check engine light checked out. I was referred to them by Young Chevrolet because my van is CNG and they send their CNG work to Dave's. When I made the appointment no one would tell me what their shop rate was. Then when I dropped it off they said it would be a $129 diagnostic fee. Ok fine... After day 1 in shop they said that they needed more diagnostic time because my van has a hitch on it and the rate is $100 an hour and they want approval for 5 hours. (In my opinion should be part of diagnostic. Fine charge me to remove hitch.) Of course they burnt through 5 hours. When I picked it up the desk guy was in a hurry to take my money and send me on my way. As I pulled out of the parking lot the check engine light came back on and started flashing as the van was badly misfiring. About a mile down the road I called the shop to explain what was happening and he then proceed to tell me that I would need my injector system cleaned for an additional $750 (at a discounted rate of course). (Shouldn't he have told me that before I left the shop) So now after a week without my van it now runs worse than when I took it in. PS Any recommendations on somewhere else to clean my injectors would be greatly appreciated because I am never going back there. read more

CROOKS!!!! DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!!! Took a car in to get the engine installed. I supplied the new engine. They were paid to install it. They wanted $6300. After 4 months they finally had the old engine removed and the replacement engine placed inside the vehicle, nothing was hooked up. NOTHING.... According to them this was installed. They wanted $26k (minus the original $6k) to finish the job (and that was only an estimate... likely was going to be more. read more

Nice people, but they are expensive and excessive in their "add-ons". Upfront Miles told me the initial $100.00 for diagnostic on my a/c would be counted against any work completed but then called to say they'd need another $250.00 to continue investigating the problem. My AC compressor had gone out and before I knew it I was $350.00 deep in "diagnostic" charges before the $850.00 in actual repairs started. It turned out the $350.00 did not count against work completed and I ended up with paying about $1200.00 for the repair. Not one to be taken advantage of twice, I called around and asked some of the neighboring shops if this is how it should have gone down. Each told me the mechanic should have been able to diagnose a broken A/C compressor with the initial charge and that if I had gone to any of them, that cost would have been applied to against any work completed. Out the door, the average repair cost at other shops would have been between $900.00 - $950.00. I wont be back, which is to bad because I really like to shop local and support small business. read more

I went to these guys to check out my G35 and then my Camry. They are very nice and gave me an honest opinion. The interesting part was that they bring you into the garage to show you your car's problems. This was a huge plus. Anyhow, before that, a neighbor was checking my Camry and suggested me to change all sorts of parts and that got me nowhere. I changed spark plugs, spark plug wires, alternator, and a few other things. It lasted for about 2 weeks and started to die again. After going to these guys, they explained that my oil leak was due to some parts (I forgot, it's been a while). I knew there was oil leaking, but I just wasn't sure how bad the problem was. Instead of telling me that I should fix my Camry, they said that I would be better off getting rid of it. They also replaced my brakes and rotors for my G35. Braking has been great, there are no more squeaks and that pulsating feeling when you brake gently at stoplights. I'd recommend them to friends, family, even my boss. read more

In probably the most costly bad decision of my life, I took my 2005 GMC 2500 HD Duramax to Dave's Auto in June 2018 due to some overheating / high temp issues accompanied by disappearing antifreeze probably going out the exhaust pipe as there were no leaks. I explained the issues and expressed the need to have this truck fixed to avoid overheating in the future. Dave's Auto changed the thermostats, cleaned the radiator, replaced the fan shroud and supposedly pressure checked the engine for head gasket leaks. I wondered if any of those repairs other than examining the truck for head gasket leaks was really necessary. They charged almost $3,000. I strongly questioned as to whether the problem was really fixed. They assured me that everything was done that was needed and gave me a clean bill of health for the truck i.e. no more overheating problems. Now August 2019 and 8,000 miles later, the engine overheats towing my 5th wheel on a flat section of freeway. The 5th wheel isn't what I would call heavy - the previous owner towed it with a Toyota Tundra without a problem! I then had the truck towed to Dave's Auto to evaluate. I was hoping that they would at least acknowledge some responsibility for the overheating problem given the clean bill of health and repairs to prevent overheating the previous year. Dave's Auto examined the truck claimed that the truck now has bad head gaskets which will cost $7,200. I said ok and they charged me $3,500 up front. Then after tearing the motor down, sent a new estimate for $18,000. When I declined this repair, I asked for another estimate for a used motor which turned out to be $14,000 with caveats about limited warranties and the potential other repairs could raise this estimate. I declined again but they still ended up charging me an additional $500 bringing this new total to $4,000 for tearing the motor apart. I've collectively spent $7,000 with Dave's Auto and have a worthless truck to show for it - a truck that was probably worth around $14,000 before taking it into their shop. I'm out $21,000 (repair charges plus the value of the truck) with only a false verbal promise in 2018 that the overheating was solved to show for it. This truck should have been fixed correctly in the first place. The excuse they now give for not fixing the head gaskets in the back in 2018 was that "these things are hard to tell" but the other repairs were "necessary". If "these things are hard to tell" then why would they not tell me that back in 2018 instead of promising no more heating problems. The only amazing thing about this place is the outrageous charges and failure. I'm basically out $7,000 in "repair" costs and a $14,000 truck that is now worthless thanks to Dave's Auto. Never again! For those of you thinking about using Dave's Auto - be prepared to pay and proceed at your own risk. read more

A Nightmare from start to still not resolved 2 months later. My car was overheating in March and I took it to Dave's to have the thermostat replaced. $1900 later I had not only the thermostat but the water pump, timing belt, serpentine belt, and oil gasket replaced. They did a tune up as well and I felt confident that the car would function fine for a long long time. less than 2 months later my power steering seizes up on me on the freeway. I looked down at my dashboard only to see that the battery light is on and the car is overheated again. I have the car towed to a shop and am advised that the brand new timing belt snapped in half. They advised the culprit was my alternator which was not bolted down securely when the work was done. The top bolt was completely missing and the bottom bolt so loose that it had almost come undone which snapped the belt in two causing all the other problems and most likely causing me to have a blown gasket. Since I had just had all of this work done not two months ago I was confident Dave's would take care of me. 3 days after I called them to advise of my problem I was just advised to have the other shop send them a couple of pictures and they would pay to replace the broken belt but that they would not cover any other repairs as my negligent driving caused the other problems and I should not be driving an overheated car. (just how long does it take a car to overheat when you're on the highway and your timing belt snaps in two because your car wasn't put back together correctly by a professional repair shop?) Really classy to blame your customer because you can't put their car back together causing major damage to the engine. Needless to say take your car anywhere else unless you like getting taken for a ride twice. read more

I would be very careful taking your vehicle here. My experience consisted of $600+ just in troubleshooting a problem they were never able to fix. Then I realized they charged me substantially more for parts & labor then the dealership (Mercedes) would have charged me. To top it off, they overfilled my DEF tank and spilled highly corrosive DEF all over my engine and hoses. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle elsewhere. read more

What a bunch of crooks! Bait and Switch practices, beware!! They offered to do a diagnostics of my Chevy CNG van for $135.00. A couple days after taking it in, they call me up and ask for another $300 to find out what is wrong. All they had done was hook up the code reader (I own one of these myself!) and tell me it was misfiring and that for another $300 they could open the dog house, attach additional sensors and find out what was wrong. When I get upset of this bait and switch practice, Miles tells me they are like a doctor's office, doing an initial evaluation, but having to order more tests which cost more money... And then when I go down there to pick up my vehicle, Dave tells me the same line of bull! They obviously get lots of complaints about their dishonest practice and have practiced the story line they use to extort more money out of their customers. I made the mistake of failing to read reviews about this company before I went there, so it's my fault I got took for $150.00. Don't make my mistake. ...and for the rest of the story, I took the van down to Lancer automotive in SLC, and for $100 they were able to do a complete diagnostic, including hooking up the sensors to the dog house and tell me which valve needed to be replaced. As we didn't have time to fix the CNG side right then, they made some temporary repairs so the engine could run on regular gasoline (at no additional charge) and sent us down the road. DO NOT BRING YOU VECHICLE HERE!!! We have never experienced such rude, condescending LIARS with a business. After numerous lies and a rip off prices with repairs we got our truck towed to a dealer. They diagnosed the issue and are charging thousands less than Dave's quoted us for. They also said there were things in Dave's quote that they said needed to be done that does NOT need to be done. The dealer also informed us that the work Dave's originally did may not have needed to be done!! Also, they charged WAY more than other places charge for the same work done after calling and comparing from other local mechanics. Do your Better Business Bureau research and you can see I am not the only one with these exact issues with Dave's Auto. I have no idea how they are still in business!!!! read more

The guys here are so nice and professional. They have never been pushy or tried selling me something that I did not need. They remembered that I had recently purchased tires and that the warranty was still in effect instead of saying " you need a new one". Also needed my air conditioner worked on and instead of just replacing it like I suggested, they just tried recharging it and has still not had a problem 3 years down the road. Saved lots of money. This shop is SOOOOOO expensive!!! Plan on opening a vein in order to pay to get your car back from them. They will hold you car hostage until you pay their overpriced, way to many hours for the job fee. You'd be better off driving your car off a cliff than taking it to Daves. There is also no manager or owner available to speak to if you feel like you are being taken advantage of. You WILL pay the price if you drop your car off there. I was told lies before I dropped my car off, then the story totally changed when I went to pick it up. And the price was OUTRAGEOUS!! Did I say EXPENSIVE!!!!!!! Daves is EXPENSIVE!!!!! I wouldn't recommend taking your auto to Dave's unless you like spending money. I took my 4 runner in for a leaking head gasket, a reasonable quote turned into four times the original with radiator needing to be replaced, all hoses, water pump. They even asked me if I would like my slightly worn tires replaced with some used ones that they probably wanted to get rid of. Every call I received from them was another problem found untilI told them no thanks, my budget of $1200 was enough. I will never go back or recommend this place to anyone! Beware of this place... I feel like I paid for one of the neon palm trees, wouldn't even suggest business here to enemies. read more

THE WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! Brought in my F-350 for an oil leak. Other than the oil leak the truck had no issues, Dave's informed me it would be expensive and I understood, they also informed me repair would take 4 days. Three weeks and many up-charges later I picked up my truck. When they dropped it off I noticed a noise that concerned me. I was informed nothing was wrong,however I asked them to re-inspect the vehicle. They informed me the fan clutch had broke, (which they removed.) And it would be an additional $1100 to repair. I left the truck and told them I am giving you the opportunity to do whats right and repair the item they broke. The next day they offered a compromise, that if I buy the part the will install it for free. The cost of the part was $540 and I just wanted my truck done so I agreed. Four days later I picked up my truck and it had the same issue and the power steering did not work! Dave's also told me that the power steering pump is now faulty and needed to be replaced and the cost would be $1700. The owner Dave told me my truck was once again in good working order other than the power steering, and advised me he was the expert and he was done talking to my about the repair. At that point I paid over $4100.00 for a repair and my truck was in much worse shape then when I brought it to Dave's Complete Auto. I then took it to a dealer to repair the issues my truck was having after the repair. There assessment found that the fan clutch they installed was faulty and the power steering just need to have the air removed from the system. The dealer also advised me that the fan clutch they charged me for was a after market product and could not me warrantied by the dealer. I had to have the dealer call Dave's and let them know of the situation in order for them to believe me about the faulty part. They then refunded the cost of the fan clutch. One note I paid the dealer for a new fan clutch and installation and the total was only $580.00. Which means they charged me for the part was more than the dealer cost with installation! Some people have had good review of Dave's and I am sure that they have happy. However I just want to share my experience to prevent this from happening again. Also I hope Dave's Auto reads this and learns from the situation. read more

I have nothing good to say about Daves Auto. Last December my car was towed there and we weren't sure what was wrong. It turned into a nightmare. I had just bought the car (used) four months prior to this. Long story short, the engine needed to be rebuilt. When all was said done, after they continued to "find" more damage. After my car being in their shop for over a month the final bill was over $10,000.00. This Monday I again had my car towed to Daves. Miles called to inform me the brake system needed to be replaced and the estimate he gave me was $1300.00. We gave them the ok and they said our car would be done the next day. Around 4 pm I called to see if I could come get my car and whoever answered said "please hold for miles he needs to talk to you about your car." Miles got on the phone to inform me that they now determined the brakes master cylinder would need to be replaced. Just another $670 was all... I told them to stop working on the car. Here's the really pathetically sad thing.. After all the money we have paid them they have no problem adding more stuff and charging double what another mechanic would. I know this because I got off the phone and called three other mechanics for a price quote to replace the brake master cylinder on a 09 Honda Pilot. These are the quotes I got: $420 $455 $415 I'm sick that they would do this after all the business I've given them. When I picked my car up I looked over my bill. I was charged $17.80 to put my spare tire back under my car & $14.00 to mount and balance a tire. What a joke. I'll never pay them another dime. So my original estimate of $1300.00 came out to be $1545.00 out the door. For new brakes There's your warning I would not recommend them to anyone. The other interesting thing is they are sending emails to former customers saying if they get on this app and give feedback you'll get a free oil change. It's too bad they have to try to cover up all the negative reviews they've had. One more thing. When I went in to get my car, miles tried showing me how and where the "condenser" needed to be replaced. I had my car inspected by a different mechanic, and sure enough it was fine. I would not recommend this place. They charged me for work that wasn't done. They did try to contact me after a bad review, so I've added a star. A refund on the "alignment" would solve some issues, but that is unlikely as it's difficult to prove (the car is gone and the only proof is an alignment spec sheet). I just took my Audi Q7 in to get a coolant leak checked. They were very friendly and courteous and said they would get to it when they got a chance. I paid $129 for a diagnostic fee which seamed fair for taking a look at the car. I got a call back later that day that said the hose that was leaking was the crossover pipe and that the water pump seamed like it needed to be replaced as well. They said if they did both services that they would knock $120 off the price because some of the work to do the 2 jobs was the same. The total quote came to just shy of $1600 with the discount. I have access to alldata which is a mechanic software that rates both parts and the amount of labor it should take to do the job. Both jobs came in at about 2 hours to do for a total of 4 hours and parts came in at $300. So at this rate I would be paying $325 an hour in labor to do the job. The Audi dealer only charges $120 an hour. I brought this up to them and they said the software system that they use quoted it in at a lot higher time. I am pretty handy and took it to them because I didn't have time to do the job. Now 2 hours later and $261 in parts directly from Audi and I have my car back on the road. Don't use these guys they will rip you off! I get that you need to make money to stay in business but gouging customers is not the way to do it. read more

I had the unfortunate opportunity of doing business with Dave's when I experienced problems with my 2016 Mercedes Benz Sprinter while traveling across country. Being a retired auto mechanic , without any tools to make the necessary repairs myself, I was forced to hire Dave's to make repairs. I stopped in Cheyenne, WY. and had the codes scanned, detecting the left rear ABS/Speed sensor was not communicating, but the shop did not have the replacement part available, and would take 3 days to get a new sensor. I contacted Dave's, as we decided to continue our trip, and he assured me he had the part on hand. Well when we arrived at Dave's, he obviously saw by my plates that I was from out of state,so he immediately jacked up his prices, tried to charge 280 dollars for a 145 dollar sensor, and insisted he needed to rescan the codes, another 129 dollar charge. I convinced him to lower sensor part cost to 180 dollars (had to mark it up for instant profit), his estimate went from 627 dollars to 524 dollars. I contacted my MB dealer in Wisconsin, was informed Dealer charges would be $470, but I was in Utah, so $54 more seemed reasonable. BUT, when the work was done, Miles (the shop manager) added 10% to my bill for bogus charges not in the estimate I signed for. When I protested, Miles pointed out the small print that stated he has the right to charge up to 10% over estimate. I'm used to doing business with honest folks and signed the work order without carefully reading the small print. My trusting nature cost me an extra $40. In hind sight, I should have walked away when he told me his work might not fix the problem, and there are no guarantees for the repairs! RUN, don't walk away from this shop. Miles had the balls to state I probably didn't make much money as a mechanic. My reply was, I made a good living without ripping off my customers! read more

I recently took my 2006 Volvo into Dave's due to a noise coming from the front right tire and the AC blowing warm after 15 minutes. I received a call from Dave's telling me they had identified the issue and also found another problem with the timing belt to the tune of about $2,000. I took their advice, paid and had the work done. I picked my car up and to my surprise after 15 minutes the AC began running hot again and the noise was still there. I also noticed a huge problem with the transmission at this point so I decided to take it to Les Schwab to fix the noise. $600 later they replaced a bearing which Dave claimed to do but apparently they like to replace the wrong one and charge you. After my AC continued running hot I took my car back to Dave's and explained that again after 15 minutes it's warm. I get a call saying it's blowing a cool 68 degrees and to pick it up which I do and guess what? Blows cold for 15 and then gets hot. I took it in for a third time and the manager Keith had the audacity to charge me $89 for a diagnostic on an issue they hadn't resolved. Needless to say we had some pretty heated words and I left my car. I received a call from Dave and it was the most unprofessional business experience of my life. He yelled, I yelled back and he put me on hold twice while I was in mid sentence. Dave then quoted me another almost $2k. At this point I was done and gave in to have the work done and felt entirely taken advantage of. I have since received a call from Dave asking me to take down my yelp review since the issue was fixed after 3 visits and $4600 including the work I had to get elsewhere because they failed. Not a chance, this is the worst mechanic and business I have ever dealt with. I will make sure every social media and review site receives feedback from me to save anyone else from this sham. While the work gets done, the process is horrible. They always underbid on the estimate to get your business - then continually add in additional costs they "find" as the work progresses. By the time you're done you are almost twice the price of the original quote. Even when they tell you the job is complete and give you a final price they come up with more costs when you pick up the vehicle. Save yourself a lot of time and money and go anywhere else! read more

If you have a foreign car (or American) this is your place. Timely, friendly, reasonably priced service...don't waste your money negotiating with the dealership. Hit Daves first. Easy on the pocketbook, and great at diagnosing the "problem" rather than quick fixing "symptoms". I recommend everyone here especially if you have a car that requires specialty service. He explained his current and improved situation and I understand he cannot recall our incident but sounded sincerely apologetic. I am writing to update my previous review that I cannot seem to find (not good maneuvering these sites), to forgive him and I'm glad he's practicing better business and customer service than previous. Literally the worst place you could possibly go. Rude, unprofessional. And will rip you off!! Please don't go there and deal with what we've dealt with. They "rebuilt" our engine only to have to take it back to them numerous times because something kept going wrong, engine seized with less than 4000 miles and it has been a fight with them ever since. They claimed we didn't have warranty at all but once we proved to them that we did they back tracked and are now finding something else that's wrong. They threatened to throw our engine away if we didn't pick it up within 24hrs when we went to pick it up they had it sitting outside in the sun and it had started rusting. We have proven time and time again that this is their doing but yet they refuse to take care of it like a good business should. The owner is literally the worst of the worst, I called to ask a question regarding our engine and he literally yelled at me, he has been very rude and short with my husband. This place should be out of business!! Don't waste your money nor your time with this place. I can't even call it a business because they don't act like one. ONLY GAVE THEM THE 1 STAR BECAUSE IT WOULDNT LET ME SUBMIT WITHOUT A RATING. read more
