After coming back here since opening day back time ago I have to say I was pretty impressed with how the staff was managed this time around. My waiter Hugo, did a FANTASTIC job being completely professional and open with any questions I had. He was extremely nice and catered to us in such an incredible way. I have to say the new line up had us a little confused but after digging into the nachos and the avocado street corn mix. WOW! Such great apps! For a Friday night it was busy but it wasn't overly crowded, we were able to play any game we wanted or we would wait about 5-10 minutes before someone changed games anyway. Having this at a mall is never a good idea because you know it's going to be overly crowded with all types of people... Firstly, the entrance isn't very organized. My friends and I went to what was assumed to be the 'entrance', only to see a big sign that said 'exit only' pointed to the door...moot point since there's only one way in and out of the place. Secondly, you walk up a pretty long flight of stairs to get to the top floor only to find a very chaotic area where you an buy your D&B card with preloaded 'chips'. Thirdly, the dining area was like a maze and confusing as hell for people just strolling in. My first paragraph of this review sounds as confusing as the place looked. My friends and I were STARVING (this is around 8pm on a Saturday night) and had NO idea why there were two separate seating areas. We finally found one of the busy waiters and asked if one section was self seating - what was explained was that the back seating area is sit down only while the random middle section where the bar is is self seating. As far as service goes- good luck. We were seated within half hour, which was fine, only go be given appetizer plates and our utensil settings. The hostess who sat us didn't give us menus nor let us know our server would be with us shortly. We waited for about 10 minutes before someone actually noticed we weren't being helped and had to ask for menus. To our surprise, she came back and took our orders. If I wasn't so hungry and if I wasn't with entertaining people, I would've complained LONG before my food arrived. It took about an hour for the food to get to our table and even longer to get bottles of beer. Our waitress got our friend the wrong bottle of beer, even after having shown her the bottle to refill. Food really wasn't all that- typical bar food that really shouldn't have taken an hour or more to be served and it wasn't like the food was orgasmically delicious. Enough to fill our stomachs, we waited probably another 20 minutes before actually being able to wave down our server to get the check. We joked about getting the check the minute we put our orders in because there were barely any servers in our area. Thankfully, my entire group had cash, otherwise we'd probably wait another day and a half to get our credit cards back. Anyway, the games here definitely had its upgrades with a few old school games...some useless games they had - iPhone games such as temple run, fruits ninja, and doodle jump. Why would I pay to play these games on a bigger screen? Waiting to play the games weren't too bad. Everyone seemed pretty courteous to others as far as letting others play if they've felt they were at the station for too long. I haven't been to D&B in a LONG time and I admit I did have fun because of the group of friends I was with. Some classic games still gets your excited and that's what we really wanted. They really should improve on the quality of their service when it comes to the bar/dining area. Someone threw up all over the bar and someone else was dragged out of the game area after having thrown up all over herself. Thankfully I wasn't here to witness either events, but this is HIGHLY unsanitary and for her to be served that much alcohol (I'm assuming), is really the responsibility of the bartenders. Who knows, I could be totally wrong; she could've gotten sick from the food. Regardless, I probably wouldn't come back here for quite some time. But since I paid $2 for a D&B card and $56 for 375 chips, I'd come back to get my prize and use up what's left of the chips (obviously these don't expire). Was it worth the amount of money we spent on the chips? Ehh it's hard to say because once you're hooked on a game , you keep using it. It really gets expensive if you think about it..each machine averages about 6-9 'chips'. I started out with 4 stars....smdh This place looks like a ton of fun, cant wait to get started.....but we hit a glitch right away after purchasing tickets using the app on the phone. The machine wouldnt allow us to scan and play the games. This took 10 minutes to fix. But once fixed we played several games and then went to eat. We went to the hostess stand to request a table...Don was our hostess. He seated us at 2 tables pushed together for our party of 8. After seating us we literally had to wait 25 minutes for waiter.....after first having to walk up and get another regular menu from Don/hostess that forgot to bring to the table AND after asking for a waitress a few times. Finally Diamond our waitress came over to take our order. Our fingers and toes are crossed that she got our order right after having to ask a few questions and correcting her a time or two. Merf/Murph the manager that came on at 4:00pm went to all the tables and asked how everything was....we told him we had to go to the hostess stand to get another menu and requested a waitress for our table a few times He informed us that he just walked in and would take care of everything so that nothing else happened. I must say that the manager was on the ball, he refilled our drinks before we ran dry, put in our unlimited buffalo wing orders repeatedly We had a good time playing the games but honestly even with the Manager/Murphs attentiveness after telling him about the problems, we more than likely won't return. As expected, this place is always crowded on weekends and Wednesday nights (when there's half-off games). They have a decent selection of games, ranging from skee-ball to Candy Crush to shooting games. I wish they had four-person Pac Man like Barcade so maybe one day they'll add one in. They use reloadable game cards to play which is super easy and convenient (even though there's an activation fee for a new card, so make sure you bring yours every visit). We recently ate here for the first time. What we got what was what we expected- ok food. Not bad, but definitely not great. I'd only recommend eating here for the convenience factor. We ordered the ancho Caesar lettuce wraps and bang bang chicken with spicy Thai peanut noodles. The portion sizes are decent and prices are fair. The service can definitely use improvement. There have been times where I went up to the bar for a drink and was blatantly ignored for a while. The bartenders will walk by without any sort of acknowledgment. Dear D & B, I was rooting for you. We were ALL rooting for you! I'm giving this place one star and that's for the games- even that's stretching it a little. Believe all of the negative reviews about this location because they are all 100% true! I had several warnings before stepping foot in this place but my kids insisted on going. Ok, so here's the deets: The entrance is super weird! There are about 99 steps that you have to climb in order to reach the main floor. Of course there's an elevator there but good luck trying to get on it. There were several employees standing at the entrance but no one bothered to greet us. Once you're up the stairs, it gets worse! The line to check in was chaotic. They had about 10 employees behind that desk and they seemed to all be very flustered. I guess that's how they ended up over charging me by $37! Yup, you read that right! I advise you to pay with cash only!! Or if you use your credit card, check your transactions before you leave. I didn't notice it until I had left but I quickly returned to dispute that charge. The manager was apologetic and took down my information. He gave me some lame excuse about having to make a few phone calls in order to reverse the charge. He said he would call me the following day. We shall see... The games- we went on a Wednesday so the games were all 1/2 price. It was extremely crowded so we had to stand around and wait to play most times. I noticed that a lot of the games were dirty and there were cups and napkins all over. One game we played actually squirted water from the gun and the water reeked of urine. The food- after being there for over an hour we had worked up an appetite. We checked in for a table and was told 45 mins. Once they texted us that that table was ready, we sat down and noticed the place was darn near empty! What was that wait for? Anyway- the restaurant was gross! The waitress was filthy too! We ordered drinks and they took about 10 mins to come. After placing our meal order, we noticed the two tables by us were complaining to the nonchalant manager. I had bad bad vibes anyway because the chair was greasy, the menu was dirty and there was chicken bones on the floor! I called the manager over and she gave me a major attitude. We came for my nephew's birthday: 3 kids & 5 adults. We went to another D&B but they were closed. We tried to contact them to make sure they were op open. Despite calling several times no one answered. We came anyway because we heard from someone else that it was open. When we arrived we heard it was a 30 minute wait. No problem. The kids played their games. 45 minutes went by. We asked and were told it would be 15 more minutes because a table was leaving. At the 90 minute mark we asked again and were told several waitstaff were not there. There was only 1 table that could accommodate a group and it was occupied. When that group left we would be seated. We told them that was not ok--especially when they never told us any updates--we always had to ask. The server said she'd talk to the manager. She came back and said she could seat us at a 6 seater table and a nearby 2 seater. We agreed. We pushed the tables together. The manager never talked to us, apologized, or made any concessions. The QR code menu ordering was confusing and caused the food to come at drastically different times. And the fries were overly salty. All in all it was a poor experience. read more

To preface this: I never really leave reviews, and I also never really take the time to write anything negative about places. went with a group of my friends last night and not only were we immediately asked for our ID's, but the front desk staff was insanely rude and racist. They were all talking amongst each other about how stupid non-colored people are, and how "Saturdays are the worst because that's when all of the white people come in." Honestly I didn't realize this at first, as I was just excited to be there and play some games. Then I began to look around and notice nobody else walking in was being asked for an ID of any sort, they just walked right on in. My sister had to walk all the way back to the car to grab her ID when we originally came in. It took us 10 minutes to even walk through the door! This was genuinely an insane experience. The newly opened Dave & Buster's at Willowbrook mall is really big, really loud, and really crowded. Valbona X. sent a mass invite to our co-workers and a bunch of us showed up to a massive crowd of high schoolers. It's a big space, but it's pretty dark in there so it feels pretty cramped. They have plenty of arcade games, but I feel like there's a little less variety than the location in Nyack. It's fun, but since it's so much more crowded, a little less so. read more

So I went last night with one of my friends and I'm going to say that the place is way way to crowded. Every 5 minutes or so a kid constantly ran into my friend. Now he isn't hard to miss he is 6ft 4 and over 300 lb and is very easy to see. The food was good but not worth the price. Don't get me wrong it was cheap but now I'm suffering I'm having really bad food poisoning. And on top of that when you drop your card and see someone pick it up and ask what they could do they tell you that there is nothing they can do. Today, while throwing away old receipts from my wallet i noticed the "tip scam" they were up to. I will attach the image of my receipt with this review. I am very shocked when reading the negatives in other reviews. I had a blast when I came here on Wed Feb 14, opening day. Crazy how at different times of the same day there were so many differences. At first just browsed the place around 8pm to see if it had potential. There was a greeter that was asking people if they planned on eating, playing or both to direct them to the right area. The elevator took a moment to arrive on the first floor. I was inside with 5 and there was plenty of room for more. Everyone inside looked like they were enjoying themselves. The vibe of the place was just great and it wasn't as packed as I thought it would be. So we decided to come back after dinner which was 930pm. Took the stairs this time, there are a lot of stairs so take at your own pace. When we came back there were less people eating and more people playing. Had to wait for a few of the games we played but nothing that ruined our experience. Mario kart game was fun. They take a picture of your face and have the characteristics of your character on top. It's funny when you have Mario and get the mustache. The basketball shooting game is always a good time, you never know how competitive you are when you start making shots. I got really addicted to this shooting game they had. I died like ten times but kept swiping the card to keep going. They have a lot of games and some new ones I've never seen which makes it exciting. Didn't see any issues with games when I was there. Bathrooms were very clean. Only ended up spending an hour here but had so much fun and didn't feel pricy at all. I paid $29 for 170 points. Left the place with about 80 points left and there were two of us. Quickly stopped by this location to check out for a potential party for a group of friends & myself. While exploring the location, my friends & I sat down for some drinks. Which were the ONLY saving grace. The positives of this location are the vibrant atmosphere, livelihood, creativity of food & drink menu & variety of games. My personal points of dislike: Upon entering there's one small desk & not much space. I just wanted to ask for a tour of the facility & how operations worked. I myself have been to the NY location but I took my kids to this location for the 1st time last weekend and they had an amazing time! It wasn't crowded at all. The staff was kind and quick to help when my kids had an issue with about 2 or 3 of the machines. They were very clean, organized and took precaution during this time. They had jugs of hand sanitizer around the place and made sure everyone had masks on. The only thing that was bummer but understandable was that the dine in section and bar were closed. They did have water and gatorade but if we go again I'm bringing my own. The water that I would normally pay 75 cents - $1 anywhere else was $3 and the gatorade thats like $1.50 was $4. Went here for my birthday with my boyfriend. We sat down for dinner and it was decent. Our bang bang chicken order was tasty but the chicken was cold while the noodles were hot. We also ordered boneless wings but instead hkt bone-in (no biggy). These errors probably are because they're just getting things running and still have some kinks to workout. My 4 stars is not food related. All of the games were very "meh" and didn't have some of my favorites. We still had a lot of fun though and I hit the jackpot playing wheel of fortune! With all of those tickets, we went into the gift shop to spend them. There was literally nothing in the store in comparison to other locations (NYC and Jax, FL) That was the biggest disappointment. Hate to give one of my favorite places a negative review but sadly it happened last weekend. Arrived for the superbowl at 6 and we went to the bar. Busy, but not overwhelming. Took a few tries to try and catch 1 of the 3 bartenders to put our drink orders in. Never offered menus, had to take them off the other tables. Finally put our food orders in after having to wave another bartender down. Its a shame because the food was awesome but the service was not. Luckily by the 2nd half of the game, we had a new bartender and he was way more attentive and now as hard to track down. Pretzel bites and cheeseburger was awesome. Sweet but tangy sauce for the pretzels hit the spot and the burger wasnt too greasy and the fries were good too. Could also be a coincidence but I find the odds on winning jackpots on the games are much less than the times square location. Maybe too many people were winning when it first opened. I went in during lunchtime yesterday. The space is beautiful but things are pretty disorganized. They kind of rushed this opening as the outside was still being painted when I arrived. When you walk in, there's a desk on the left, an elevator or a bunch of stairs. No greeters. You go up the stairs (why couldn't they put in a second elevator or an escalator?) and inside it's beautiful. The bar looks great and so do the function party and rooms. The games weren't all functioning properly and it seemed like there were less games here than at the location at the Palisades Mall. Also the men's room is pretty small; this will definitely be an issue when it's packed. The biggest issue is that you have to go exchange your power card for a new one DOWNSTAIRS. No one tells you this until you realize that your power card isn't working when you go to check your balance. Thanks but no thanks. I'll check back in a few months maybe. read more

Finally had opportunity to re-visit Dave & Busters after almost 18 years since our last holiday company party at their West Nyack, NY location. First , the bartender was very friendly , accommodating , and seemed to be very conscientious. I ordered the cheesesteak and it took about 30 minutes to be served by the kitchen runner. My first impression was that the sandwich looked extremely smaller than its representation inside the menu. One corner of the hoagie roll was hard while the rest of the roll was warm . That is a typical indicator of heating the roll by means of a commercial microwave boosting oven or from the frozen state . The french fries are not cut fresh , but packaged frozen . The cheesesteak and fries tasted good though . Restaurant is loud with game noise in the background. Decor is nice, with lots and lots of flat screen tv's. Menu is a little overpriced for a mall location and no happy hour appetizer specials ! (bad mistake !) Would I go again under normal circumstances ? No. Would I go again if I needed a change from all the other mall restaurants ? Yes, but maybe only once or twice a year . We came here Monday night with our kids to enjoy the arcade. As far as the arcade no complaints but the food and service was bad. We sat by the bar so we can play and eat and it took a while for a server to come over. The food was poor, the portions are tiny, the drinks are weak. The main issue I see this place is having is that you see all the staff just chatting away and not paying attention To the guest. We saw the bartenders, servers, manager all talking and joking about by the side station. Many tables without napkins, side plates, silver ware. I had to get up every time to ask for several things. The server brought drinks for the kids with no straws, he just said I can't find them. WTH? Why even bring them with lids ... but again maybe this place is just over staffed which this is what ends up happening staff starts to hang out instead of work. Play the games, leave the food. Service at the restaurant is horrible. I had reservations for 7 people (5 kids) for a 12pm lunch. They sat us at 12 and no one came to see us for 20 minutes. The waitress took our orders and we didn't see her again for another 45 minutes when I had to track her down. I called ahead letting them know I was brining an ice cream cake for my son, which I gave them earlier to put in their freezer. After finding out waitress, I asked to have the birthday cake to the table. After about 15 minutes the cake was brought to the table. No presentation. They didn't even take it out of the Target bag that I brought it in. Thankfully, I listened to my wife and brought a cake cutter and candles with me. I asked for additional silverware and napkins, which never arrived so I walked across the restaurant to find them myself. My daughter and I waited another 20 minutes for the waitress to come back with the check, which she never did. So a searchin I go for her, again. She gave me the check and I hand her my credit card. I receive a notification that the charge was approved by my credit card. But the waitress says it was declined. So I show her the approval. first time ever at dave and busters and i'm so glad one opened up so close to me. I've always loved chuck-e-cheese and the fact that there's now an adult version makes me feel like i'm a kid again. when I came spontaneously with my coworkers, they had a deal on the app where you can get 50% off when you buy the credit with apple pay - so I bought $75 worth of credit and shared it with my friends. Each game is around 5-10 credits and for "$75" we got around 550 credits . we spent every drop LOL but of course we were there from 930 to closing at 2am on a Saturday night. the place was packed so we had to wait awhile for the games but we grabbed drinks to wait and the service was quick but the drink came out pretty slowly (about $13ish per each drink). overall, I had a fun time . some games did malfunction or stole my credit which was frustrating. the rewards though are pretty "expensive" though so if you want them, focus on the games that give a lot of tickets, otherwise, if you're there to just play, then know that the playing games don't give out tickets! read more

Pretty disappointed! We went to have a fun family time, ended pretty pissed off They told us we can have seat where ever we wanted! I decided to sit far from the games, when you have a 2 yr old you want him to eat and then play. No one redirected us, no one said a word! We sat waiting looking at a drink menu! Waited nothing, husband got up got the menus had to ask from a worker! Again no one mentioned to us that we couldn't sit or be in that section because there is no waiter! Waited again nothing, to get our order! My husband went to ask if there is a waiter to take our order! Looking forward to this place. The place on a Saturday night was nearly empty. When I got there the server tried to up sale everything. My friend showed me a picture of a Strawberry Margarita with Strawberry cubes she got last time. It looked amazing. My friend and I ordered the drink and it didn't even look like what the menu pictured nor my friends picture. I asked the server what was going on he said, "Relax" he suggested another drink. We got our meal and nor did the server bring any water to the table my mouth was on fire. The meal was finished still nothing. My friend and I got the other drink and it was horrid. We drank it in two seconds. When I was trying to be nice the server was rude and all he said was "YUP". My son has had two different incidents in this establishment. I keep telling him not to go there any more but, him being so young and naive and me not wanting him to drive too far from home has made him end up at the same place. One one occasion my 18 year old son and his friends were told at the door they couldn't come in because they neede to be 25 years or older, I thought it was odd, but then he went again on a date and they told him that they couldn't take his credit card because the credit card machine did not work and they needed cash. Although he was able to buy tickets to play with the same credit card. I did not appreciate this strong feeling of him being profiled because of the color of his skin and I definitely believe that because I took my 16 years old nice, much lighter skin, and two of her friends there while I was in the mall they used my credit card and there were no questions asked. I wonder why the experiences were so different for them. read more

I don't know why the reviews are so low for this Dave & Buster's. and I am going to try to bring it up a little. Just had my Daughter's 10th Birthday at this location, everyone was so nice, I thought I wasn't in NJ. The Waitress named Kelisha was excellent helping us serving our party guests. I highly recommend this place for all things party. read more
