I was actually at this location for a birthday party event a friend held and it was a lot of fun! The food was good (it was the Mexican food party package - everything was a bit spicy, but still good). They opted for a cash bar and my biggest complaint was that there is only the one bar here so we had to go to that (and often wait a while) to get drinks. Also, the official policy is that all minors need to be accompanied by an adult at all times but that was definitely not true in practice. There were a LOT of children and teenagers here literally *running* through the space. And plenty of irresponsible young adults being generally obnoxious as well. We were there from 7pm to around 11pm and it would be great if they had some sort of cut off at a certain time where under 18s are not allowed in the arcade space because it definitely cut into the enjoyability. The drinks were super good. I was a little worried because the cocktail menu had zero prices on it - this is a massive pet peeve of mine and it drives me crazy. A customer should ALWAYS know how much something is before they order it. We stuck to the Perfect Patron Margarita and it was 10/10, large, and I found out eventually, they were all $11.95. Reasonable, good value, surprisingly affordable as far as a night out goes. After this experience we will actually be considering another D&B location for my companies holiday party as I plan it (but our office is located in NYC). I'd love to come back here one night for date night with my husband. I hadn't been to D&B in over a decade and never since I turned 21, so I think it would make a fun outting. read more

The boneless wings tasted like corndogs, and we waited for our drinks over 20 minutes each time we ordered (I'm talking about coca-cola and water). Overall, this Dave n' Busters's is kept very clean, everyone properly ID'd, and also the food is of a good quality, highly recommend the buffalo wings and fried pickles. Only thing I do need to note, however, is that I was never given water for over 10 minutes after I got my initial drinks that it was supposed to come with, and I had to ask a selerate server to get it for us. Other than that, I would also note that there were quite a few games that I did want to play but were left out of order, one of which did not even have the option for me to swipe my card. A Saturday family outing to Dave & Buster's Wayne, NJ sure was exciting-- bloody mess and all. We played a few arcade games to work up an appetite. The entire family had fun playing the arcade games from soccer ball kick to skee ball. We finally worked up an appetite and saw the hostess for a table. We requested a booth near the arcade games so we could watch the kids play games as our food was prepared. Despite waiting a little longer than we wanted with our younger children our meals were good. I ordered the Buster's Bacon Burger. It was nicely prepared at a medium well. I was happy I splurged for the truffle fries as they too were tasty. My wife ordered the Crispy Chicken Cobb Salad. It was made with their crispy chicken tenders, romaine, spring mix, red onions, cucumbers, fresh pico de gallo, buttermilk ranch, roasted corn, cheddar & mozzarella. Both are opted for the children's meal of the crispy chicken bites. It was served with french fries, carrot sticks & ranch dressing. After having our dinner we played a few games. Our visit was cut a bit short because I had cut my self in on our the arcade games and needed to get some steri strips. I was steering one of the games in a booth and I somehow cut myself on a sharp edge within the booth. I lacerated my finger nicely and bleed all over the game and seat. I did contact a manager for a Bandaid and made him aware of the sharp edge and the biohazard situation. He was able to bring me out a cool blue bandaid. I don't know, I had a good time, but I went on Wednesday night where they have half price games, so I imagine if I go when it's twice as much and twice as crowded, the tune may be different. Alas, I can only judge from what I experienced. Yes, it's upstairs above a Sears. It's probably not the idealest, but that's how the spaces is. It's not THAT many stairs. Unless you have major health issues, if you have trouble walking up that many stairs, you should be more concerned about your fitness level. I ate first and they have some deals you order whatever order/app and you get a play card. We got the Pepperoni Pretzel Pull-Apart bread and some grilled wings that came with 5 dipping sauces. Yeah everything has a massive amount of calories. You know what you're getting into. So it tasted good and made me feel bloated later, but that's my fault. There aren't really any healthy options. We were seated right away, and even though service was a little slow, it was not inconvenient. It was on the slow side on a normal scale. I have a few arcade favorites and I had a chance to play them all. Only issues is some games like the basketball one, some people steal balls from one game to use in another, so then even when you see an open lane, it may have no balls and there wasn't anyone around on the floor to even point that out to. Luckily the games add points to the card you swipe so no tickets. Unluckily, they have some pretty crappy prizes. Even the candy was candy I didn't want with my free points. Stock up on some Snickers or something chocolate (that's how I roll at arcades). So overall, I *DID* have fun, but it was the same fun I have at a regular arcade but more expensive. The only thing D&B really adds is food and drink, and the food is only okay and I didn't get a drink. I had a friend want to come here for their birthday. Let me start with dining. I was less than impressed. I understand we came on a busy Saturday, but what pissed me off the most is that you order through a QR code and have to pay for your food before you even get it. This also means you pre tip. I also asked for drink refills multiple times when the server had passed by and never got them. The only thing we had gotten was a side of cheese which we had to ask for twice. We asked a manager first, who did not help us, and then the server who brought it for us. The food over piled each other. I wanted my app to come first, and the entree came way too quick. We were also here for a birthday and had put it on the reservation. No mention of a casual happy birthday from the server. Let me go onto the arcade. The arcade is one of the best Dave and Busters has. They have guitar hero which you can barley find anywhere now. They have different options and this appeals to different types of gamers. My suggestion? Split the dining room in two. Do a full service section and a fast service section. The place is big enough you can do both. Awful staff. I went here for a first date and while my date was in the bathroom. I tried closing out or tab to pay while she was gone. I close it out and when I'm browsing on my phone waiting for her to get back the bartender tosses out our drinks. 2 canned drinks both maybe half and 70% full. When I realized I quickly called him over and said "Hey by chance do you still have our cans they were full and we still had a lot left." He pulls them out of the trash and pours them into the sink to measure how much was left. He then gets a manager over after my date is back and is like "Hey we can give you half of a white claw since you had about half left so I'll pour out half then give you the half can (WTF?), For me they didn't have anymore of the canned wine Like. So I said is it possible for a high noon instead I guess. The manager goes "No we can't give you that since it's slightly more than the canned wine so I can give you like an IPA or something if that works?" Went here for my 21st birthday and the service was incredibly slow. Spent most of the night waiting. Worst part was that we wanted to get our last drink at 11:25, they called last call at 110:30, and at 11:35 the bartender told us it was closed as he was rudely walking away from us. His name was Jason, and the entire experience with him was incredibly off putting and rude. However, the person named ChaCha at the gift shop was incredibly kind and helpful! Unbelievable. My friends and I, ALL 17, went in to try and enjoy a night of fun and games. When we entered and climbed up the VERY LONG stair case we were asked if we had identification. Very confused I said I did have identification on me but asked why. They said we needed to be 18+ to enter. Very confused I asked if we needed to be 18 to play the arcade games. They said that to play the games I needed to be 18 or have someone 25 with me! What kind of policy is this. I understand that the bar is integrated but if we aren't even sitting at the bar I'm confused why the games are reserved for 18+. It seems to get alcohol we would need to be IDed again at the bar. Visited 1st on September 20, 2020 and a bunch of times since. Still have yet to play all the games. What's there not to like about this place. There's entertainment, alcohol & food all in one place. You can even take your drinks with you while playing. Admittedly have not had the food, but there are some fun drinks and the tap selection (like the Blue Moon & ciders) seem to be reasonably priced. They change up the drink menu which is nice. The "Only at D&B" cocktail selection is creative (tried the Tito's Strawberry Mega Mule, Backwoods Blueberry Lemonade, Frose & Mango Berry Bull). There are days where games are half off so check the website. If you ever need a break from playing games, there's also the shopping mall right next door. read more

Your employees are all miserable. I went in with my 18+ friends and one of our friends did not have their physical ID. From the start, Tan and the black woman with the glasses immediately had a repulsive attitude and sighed obnoxiously when we went up to the front desk. They refused to explain the policies themselves, as if that is not your job? When our group decided to leave, she said "don't piss me off." Extremely unprofessional wow. We attempted to file a complaint with the manager on the phone but both the same front desk employees that we already dealt with picked up and kept hanging up on us when we asked to speak to a manger. When we finally got a hold of them, they impersonated being a manager and still maintained their nasty attitude. Their nasty attitudes made our friend cry and we will never be returning. This location has plenty of seating and tons of games - you won't be without one you can play - and comparatively, I think the be trade-in for prizes is so much more reasonable than most arcades. Visited Dave & Busters this past Saturday during the day and my experience was so-so. As far as the games go, it's always a blast playing with your friends. I was looking for the light jump rope game but couldn't find it at this location. The service was absolutely terrible. There was only one bartender on a Saturday which makes no sense. She was responsible for the people at the bar as well as people sitting at the table. It doesn't make sense to have 1 person on a weekend. The bartender was working hard but it took a half hour to get a bottle of beer (bud light and corona was $5.50 each). For it being a pandemic, I was very surprised there was no hand sanitizing stations, no stations with wipes, no one walking around trying to maintain any sanitation, no mask protocol in place and no crowd control. Been to this location a few times. Every time I come my experience gets better and better. On the last time here, I threw my daughter a birthday luncheon. Prior to setting this event I did stay in contact with their party planner Lorena. She was extremely helpful explaining packages. She made the process of booking an event a breeze. The best part was that she was easy to contact and when I left voicemails, she was quick to respond. As I arrived I was walked over to our table. The table was set with just the right decor for a teen party. This included utensils, plates, napkins and a birthday placemat. For food we ordered the all American platter and kids chicken tenders, fries, pizza bites and fountain drinks. Food was your typical food chain style and flavors. There was so much food we brought back an abundance of left over boxes home. The waitress was extremely patient and quick. The games here are just like the games at every other Dave & Buster's. I recommend adding the unlimited video games for $5. I look forward to returning and booking another event here! read more

The prizes are normal compared to other chains and the staff is nice here. CONS: The mens bathroom toilets are always clogged and there computers were down when I went. Im completely shocked with the low reviews! This place is awesome! Like, really awesome! I've always loved D and B, and I'm glad more are popping up in NJ. I'm also glad we have two locations within a half hour from each other (there's another one in Woodbridge). I much rather visit the ones in NJ over the overcrowded ones in NY where you can't even play a game because you're elbow to elbow with other people. I live nearby and have been to this location quite a few times. I've tried their food, their bar/drinks, and of course, the gaming entertainment. As far as the gaming, they have an awesome amount of options for all ages. Every time I've been here has been on a weekend and I've never felt it to be too crowded. The food is good, obviously not a Michelin restaurant, but it's typical bar food and I had no complaints . The drinks have always been good. If you want to make sure you're not getting watered down drinks (seems to be a complaint among a few Yelpers), stick to the beer. They give big full glasses. Also, their prize system is really good. Almost all the machines give tickets and there's a lot of potential to get a few hundred tickets each play (I love the coin dozer one)! If I spend let's say $30-$40 on my trip, I leave with really awesome stuff. read more

No wonder the manager was able to disrespect me this way. I even called to speak with the general manager and up until this day never received a callback. What an interesting experience my partner and I had at D&B for St. Patty's Day. We wanted to go somewhere different for date night and decided to try out D&B for fun. It was a bit disorganized when we got to the main area where you can buy power cards, there was no clear indication of where the line actually began. We ended up just using one of their kiosks instead, which proved a bit more effective. Surprisingly, there were no stations available to wipe down the machines and there seemed to be about one hand sanitizing station I could spot. There were people walking around with no masks at all, which was pretty ridiculous. Then, we decided we could use a drink since we were both parched, but forget about it. The only way to even get water is to put your name on a list to be seated in their dining area, which was over an hour of a wait. Interestingly enough, the place was pretty packed but they had a limited dining capacity. I think I'll skip a return visit. read more

I called the location multiples time to complain formally which I was then greeted by the same two employees who continued to impersonate the manager and hang up on me multiple times. all I wanted to complain about was how the one employee said "Don't piss me off." because we asked why we needed to show ID. Came here recently with Wifey, son, daughter and her boyfriend and didn't really know what to expect since I'd never been to a Dave and Buster's before. As a kid I spent a lot of time in arcades and I still love those old 80s games. Obviously this ain't what's at Dave and Buster's so I was skeptical. Anyway, we started with dinner and unfortunately had to wait almost 45 minutes for a table. Luckily, our meals were actually very good. We had good service too so nothing to complain about. My disappointment was mostly with how expensive the games were. The games were fun...my son loves shoot 'em up games, but just too pricey. We didn't have to wait on many of the games we wanted to play even though the place was pretty full. Luckily we were here on gift cards so it wasn't our own money for the games. So my friends and I went to this Dave & Busters on a Thursday evening to grab some drinks/food and play but unfortunately our experience was disappointing and frustrating. I'll start by saying I understand that this location is clearly (extremely) understaffed and I honestly feel bad leaving this review because our waitress was trying to make do with a difficult situation, she even apologized and explained how understaffed they were. It was relatively busy (not crazy though) and it took 30 minutes for someone to come and greet our table/take our order. It then took 40 more minutes for us to receive an order of pretzel dogs and wings, without receiving our drinks or utensils/napkins (it's wings!)z We were told 45 minutes after placing our order that our drinks were "still being prepared" however we literally ordered high noons and premade drinks. At this point we were frustrated enough to cancel the drinks order and go to the bar downstairs. Our waitress also ended up trying to charge a far higher tax than 7% on our food, which I believe was an accident but it was frustrating after the experience. Ultimately the games are really fun of course and the food was decent but the service was so bad I really won't be eating there again. read more

The worst service ever. I took my daughter here for her 21st birthday. We waited almost 45 minutes for the check. We asked other servers for our check and they said we had to get it from our server. Our server disappeared and no one could find her. We waited on line for a card for the tickets for almost 30 minutes. There were three employees there. Two were bullshitting while one worked. Food and drink could be good if you can get it in time. Service here is horrible and despite the hiring of new staff, the service has only gotten worse especially between 4 and 7 pm happy hour. I don't blame new staff but they don't check up on you, don't ask how the food is, customer service skills for the younger generation are at an all time low. The games aren't that much better and gone are the arcades of old. One experienced staffer being followed around by 3-4 trainees who need to learn customer service. It's sad but we still come here because the spicy habernero sauce that came with giant pretzel was awesome; too bad the 6 sauces that we tried to get more of varied between mustard and beer cheese. To preface this: I never really leave reviews, and I also never really take the time to write anything negative about places. went with a group of my friends last night and not only were we immediately asked for our ID's, but the front desk staff was insanely rude and racist. They were all talking amongst each other about how stupid non-colored people are, and how "Saturdays are the worst because that's when all of the white people come in." Honestly I didn't realize this at first, as I was just excited to be there and play some games. Then I began to look around and notice nobody else walking in was being asked for an ID of any sort, they just walked right on in. My sister had to walk all the way back to the car to grab her ID when we originally came in. It took us 10 minutes to even walk through the door! This was genuinely an insane experience. Not only will my friends and I never be returning, but I will be contacting the corporate office and giving names of the staff that were actively profiling us the second we walked through the door. I am quite annoyed with Dave and Busters service. I sat at the bar for 45 minutes waiting for my chicken tenders and fries, and then received the wrong order. I made them aware of this and sent it back, and then got the next order about 20 minutes later, again without the fries and with different sauces. I can see that they are heavily understaffed however, I would expect customer service to be at the forefront of this establishment. I will not be eating again at Dave and Busters anytime soon. read more

Looks like nice place, walked over couple time when going to Willowbrook mall. They have many games and seems to always packed with people having great time playing video games. Restaurant seems be packed as well. I have not play any game or had dinner here. Will try one day. I being other location, this seems to be par with other locations. read more

It's great that this place is still operating during COVID. In an effort to practice social distancing, gaming machines are alternated on and off to ensure safe gaming. In the time I was there, I did not see a single machine wiped down or sanitized. The machines that are turned on are not properly maintained and functional. At least 3 games needed to be reset or required technical attention altogether. The games are pretty pricey which makes it really difficult to be ok with wasting credits on a faulty machine. I hope that the next time we visit we have better luck. read more

I'm 57 years old and this is my first ever bad review posting. Just had a terrible experience at Dave and Busters of Wayne. Food service was pretty poor. I can go on about the service but i'm trying to keep this review concise. After many things gone wrong with the meal, I waited way too long for the check while my family had already entered the arcade. When it finally came the waitress remained with me while the bill was taken care of table side. This was a little unusual and uncomfortable and not realizing I tipped 20% and the total bill which included $80 of arcade cards. So instead of tipping on the $70 meal (which was not good), I tipped on $150. When I realized what I had done, I asked the waitress to correct the payment. She could not amend the card transaction and apparently the managers can not do so either. What kind of business can't credit a patrons card? And why didn't the waitress make me aware of the fact that I was tipping on $80 worth of gaming cards that she was all to happy to offer and provide with the meal? I could have just as easily made the arcade card purchases myself and saved the $16 tip on the cards. This is simply a scam. To make matters worse, dealing with the management was the worst part of the whole experience. The initial female manager didn't offer her name. I was pretty upset at this point and I let her know. She was pretty rude and told me a refund required some paperwork and about 7 to 10 days to get while she promptly left me at the table. Another manager, or so I thought approached me. He tells me he is head of security and the female manager I had just interacted with for probably 15 seconds felt threatened. Unbelievable! In conclusion, I was given an additional gaming card to make up for the inconvenience. $180 spent on a terrible night. After coming back here since opening day back time ago I have to say I was pretty impressed with how the staff was managed this time around. My waiter Hugo, did a FANTASTIC job being completely professional and open with any questions I had. He was extremely nice and catered to us in such an incredible way. I have to say the new line up had us a little confused but after digging into the nachos and the avocado street corn mix. WOW! Such great apps! For a Friday night it was busy but it wasn't overly crowded, we were able to play any game we wanted or we would wait about 5-10 minutes before someone changed games anyway.
