The arcade has a lot of variety, which is what keeps us coming back, but unfortunately, the service continues to be subpar. Today, we waited about 30 minutes without even being acknowledged by our server. Meanwhile, a family seated next to us, who had been there for no more than 10 minutes, received service right away. I completely understand that waiting is expected during a busy lunch rush, and I don't mind being patient when a restaurant is busy. My issue is with the lack of organization and management of the service. There doesn't seem to be any clear rhyme or reason to the order in which tables are being acknowledged or served. Edit: I reached out to their corporate office, and not only did nothing change at all..the person I was emailing and speaking to, all of a sudden email doesn't exist anymore?! Which is extremely strange and concerning. They not only have NOT returned my points or tickets, they cleared out my entire card! And now the corporate employee doesn't exist in their system?! This is beyond shady and suspicious, something isn't right here and I highly highly suggest everyone avoid otherwise you'll receive the same treatment I have. Depressing. Then upon checking my card(without ever hearing back from them at all or any type of update) my card is just empty...this is a scam and terrible business. If the card was supposedly invalid, why have I been allowed to use it for years and why did their system continue accepting it? This is completely out of my control, and I have used it 100% legit and the manager even told me they did not see any fraud on my card or anything like that, so why am I being punished now? Taking away an entire balance after years of legitimate game play, feels deceptive and completely unacceptable. At this point, it feels like a scam designed to let customers spend lots of money and accumulate tickets, only to have them disappear when it comes time to redeem something valuable. My last visit was not too horrible; we went on a weekday, on a Thursday, so it was not crowded, and it was easy to get a table. However, we had to get our own table, and it took forever to get a server to come to us, which was a shame because it was a slow night. When the server did come, she took our order and went on her way. We waited for 20 minutes and never received our drinks. Then our food came, and we still had not received our drinks. I was upset because it was not a busy night. When I finally flagged her down, I told her, and she brought our drinks maybe 10 minutes later. She did apologise, and then the drinks were removed from the bill, but waiting all that time on a slow night still sucked. On the plus side, they have their new eat-and-play deals; get a card and a meal for only 5 bucks more. We got the $55 all-you-can-play and added a burger with fries for $60 total. That's a great deal. We spent about 3 hours playing with that $55 all-you-can-play card. The bad thing is that tickets do get capped at 1500. Once you reach that, you can't get more to get more prices, which sucks. Overall not a bad place, but I prefer the Arcadia location: bigger, better, and nicer staff. read more

Came on a Tuesday night and had a blast with the trivia night and arcade games. There was a trivia game that was fun to join. It was free with a chance to win prizes. Most of my party picked items from the meal deals that come with a playing card. There were many options to choose from. The food and drinks were good. My crew enjoyed the salmon salad and fried items the most. Then we played games for a few hours. There were so many to choose from. Very nostalgic to play games. I learned that Dave & Buster's had redone their food menu and added many new items, so I wanted to try it out. I came on a Wednesday evening for happy hour, which runs from 4 pm to 7 pm during the week and 10 pm to close Sunday through Thursday. I ordered their Dragon House drink, and it was delicious. I do wish their happy hour included some food options to balance out the drinks, but instead I ordered a salad and the chicken quesadillas from the regular menu. Our bartender, Ashley, was lovely and very kind. On Wednesdays, their games are half off, so it's a good day to go. You can also check out the farmers market in the parking lot outside. My main reason for giving 3 stars instead of 5 was my disappointment with the game area. I came with three friends, and we all had issues with different games. Many of them were broken, and we literally had to hunt someone down to fix them. There wasn't anyone readily available, so I went to the prize area, where the one employee working was able to call someone over. She told me to wait by the machine, and about 10 minutes later, someone came to help. However, I lost many of my points on games that weren't working and wasn't able to get them back. Make sure to keep your game card so that if you come back, you can simply reload it instead of getting a new one. read more

I've been to this location a few times. The food is ok and the drinks are really good. However, the service could be better. Yesterday was the first time that I had good service but.... I sat at the bar and it wasn't crowded or super busy). The bartender was great and very attentive. The first drink she made was not good, it was missing an ingredient in which we both discovered it was the simple syrup/sweetness. Came here with family and had a fairly smooth time getting my Powercard and getting right into the gaming. The games (at least the ones that were working) were pretty fun. Shoutout to the Top Gear Maverick arcade game! That one was the best. Unfortunately there were a good amount of games that I wanted to try out that were out of commission, so it sucks not being able to enjoy everything. We then had lunch at the dining area, and were sat very quickly. Our waiter checked in on us right away to get our orders as well, but once the food came, we were hardly visited. We kept having to look around to see where they were so we could get some more water and pay for our bill. They were pleasant to interact with, though. I had the Crispy Goldfingers and they were decent. It wasn't exactly mind-blowing good but it was what I expected. The dining area seems like a solid fit to watch sports games. TVs everywhere, noise level pretty high, dim lighting, billiards area. It's literally a bar attached to a large arcade. I'd be down to watch a few games or combat sports here. Wish they had more bathrooms, though! Especially ones closer to the dining area. Customers Beware -- Be Careful With Your Credit Card We went to Dave & Buster's with our kids to play in the arcade. My husband and I sat at a table and ordered food. Our server told us that, as part of their policy, they needed to hold my credit card, so I handed it to her. Before leaving, I went to get the kids while my husband stayed behind and paid the bill. Unfortunately, I completely forgot that the restaurant still had my credit card. What really concerns me is that the server apparently didn't notice or remember that she still had my card, and no one contacted me afterward to let me know that I had left it there. I returned the next day to retrieve it, but I was told they didn't have it. I tried to help the manager locate the server by explaining where we had been sitting and approximately what time we were there. I don't remember the server's name, but I figured the manager could easily look up which server was assigned to that table. Unfortunately, he didn't seem interested in investigating. He didn't ask for the time we were there, the table number, or any other details that could have helped identify the server. Instead, he repeatedly told me, "I have 27 servers here. It would be hard to find out which one." Seriously? There seemed to be no effort to actually look into what happened. The manager was not apologetic, helpful, or even particularly concerned about the situation. I used to like Dave & Buster's, but this was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. If holding customers' credit cards is part of their policy, then I believe they also have a responsibility to make sure those cards are returned and accounted for. It's now the third day, and no one has contacted me--not even to provide an update. Because of this, I ultimately had to cancel my credit card. Customers, please be careful with your credit cards here. I would expect a business that requires customers to hand over their cards to have a system in place to ensure those cards are returned safely. I would give this experience 0 stars if I could. My kids love arcade no matter what or where. But we were seated and waited so long and I had to get up and get someone to help us. We got the gold Summer Pass and it was so worth it. It was great. The only "bad" thing was the 1000 cap tickets. Sometimes we'd hit that right away sometimes it might take a while. If they have the summer pass again next year, I'd get the higher pass that has the 2000 ticket cap. I think it's worth the money because you can easily spend $50+ a visit for one kid. We tried to go once a week to get our money's worth. My daughter really enjoyed it. Going so often in a short time frame you start to notice a few things. Thank you for the hand sanitizer stations. The staff is super nice. Food is pretty good. They have ICEE's! There are games out of order a lot. So not sure if that's a staff issue of the quality of the games. I think it would be helpful to add a feature to the app that allows you to report broken/not working games. Also to report spills or broken glass on the floor as staff isn't always easy to find right away. You can report the spill then be able to add exactly where it is like next to a certain game or pinpoint your location. If I could give zero stars I would. This Dave & Buster's in Northridge is one of the worst run establishments I have ever set foot in. We came excited because it was the kids first time, but from the moment we arrived it was chaos. Half our group had been to Arcadia's Dave & Buster's before and actually had a smooth experience, but this Northridge location is dirty, unsafe, and completely unorganized. Costco should be ashamed to even partner with them because it makes members think they're buying into something decent when in reality this place is a disaster. We had Costco gift cards that worked perfectly fine, but the problem was that the staff had no idea what to do with them. Every time we asked a question we got a different answer. One worker told us to go upstairs. Another said to use a kiosk. Someone else told us the meal deal was no longer available. Nobody gave a straight answer and all it did was waste our time and send us running up and down these huge unsafe stairs with kids. The elevator line was so long it was impossible to use. From the start it already felt like a safety hazard. Upstairs, the hostess staff could not have been worse. Two women working the stand literally skipped right over us while we stood there waiting. When they finally noticed us, they threw us on a so-called 20 minute waitlist that dragged into almost an hour. We tried to kill time with the kids by playing games but the machines were half broken, balls missing, scanners not reading, and nothing designed for small children. This place calls itself family entertainment but if your kids are under five years old, don't even bother. They will have nothing to do and you will just waste your money. When we were finally seated, it somehow managed to get worse. We sat for twenty minutes without menus, without water, without any sign of service. When the food finally came it was lukewarm and tasted like it had been sitting out for ages. I ordered appetizers and even those were awful. My family's food was worse and when we complained, the waitress acted like we were lying. She gave us a look that made it clear she had no respect for us or our concerns. At that point we had lost our appetite and just wanted to get out. Checking out was the final insult. Instead of a server handling the bill, they shoved us toward a kiosk like we were supposed to do the work ourselves. With the gift cards it turned into a circus because the employees didn't know how to process them and gave us no help. We stood there waving for assistance for another twenty minutes while everyone ignored us. Finally a manager came over. She did eventually apply a discount but only after I demanded she stay with us until it was resolved because at that point I was done with being treated like garbage. This place is not family friendly. It is chaotic, unsafe, unclean, and staffed with people who are either untrained or simply don't care. The layout is miserable, the service is nonexistent, and the food is disgusting. I regret bringing my family here and I regret recommending it to anyone. I will be returning my Costco gift cards and I will make sure everyone I know avoids this place. This location is a warning sign. Do not waste your money or your time. read more

We had a really disappointing experience at Dave & Buster's in Northridge. We waited 32 minutes just to be seated, and it wasn't even super busy. The hostess, Caroline, was rude and completely dismissive -- I went up to her multiple times and she acted like she didn't even see us. No greeting, no update, nothing. By the time she was ready to seat us, the whole visit already felt frustrating. She didn't even wait for us to follow her she just kept walking and she didn't even realize we weren't behind her. Ws frustrated we just went to go eat at CPK next door. Completely different experience and much better service. If this location wants people to keep coming back, they really need to work on customer service and basic courtesy -- especially at the front where first impressions are made. Not worth the wait. An amazing time was had! My dentist is in Northridge, so I decided to take her out for the holidays. She said she hasn't been to Dave and Busters since 2003, so I was determined to show her a good time. The games were clean and mostly operational. You can't expect an arcade to be perfect, especially around the holidays. I can only imagine the wear and tear on these games. We played basketball, Jurassic park, top gun and Mario Kart. All the classics. Jurassic park never gets old! For food we had the cheese stick stack (amazing), calamari (okay) the salmon (great) and the teriyaki steak (great), and the brookie Sunday (amazing). Tiffany (waitress) and Ashley (bartender) was above and beyond. Great customer service throughout. Managers Mike, Tyler and Jenny were all fantastic. Down side is that it's so far from home, but now I have sometime to look forward to every time I go to the dentist (3x a year)! read more

I came for World Cup, I get it that it's packed and my food wasn't going to come out in a timely manner BUT wow.... I placed my order at halftime of the game, they brought out my dessert first right at the end of regulation which was an hour after I ordered.... I explained to the server that I wasn't going to eat my dessert first and to please take it and bring me a fresh dessert when I finished my food. My food arrived about five minutes later and the grilled chicken was ice cold and the croutons were stale. I ate a few bites and the dessert was back and the waiter tells me specifically that he had a fresh one brought out to me, but the problem with what he said was that it was the exact same one that I sent back with the exact same two spoons that I left on the plate and the brownies were cold instead of warm because they put the whole order in the refrigerator. I asked to speak to a manager at that point because I didn't appreciate somebody lying in your face, and I was willing to accept all the other problems that I had today, but not somebody lying to my face. The manager came over and told me that he knows for a fact that the waiter has been making a new one and he saw four serving sitting in the back of the restaurant and he believed that the server accidentally brought me back the original one instead of the new one at no fault of the waiter. I can accept that as an answer but at this point, I'm frustrated and I don't wanna eat the old desserts. He asked me what he could do to make it better and I told him to do what he thought it took to make it better. His solution was to not charge me for the dessert that I wasn't going to eat and apologize to me for the outcome and told me to have a nice day. I basically waited over an hour for my food that wasn't worth what I was charged and I was given a discount on something I never ate... We had a fun time celebrating my niece's 13th birthday at Dave & Buster's in Northridge on a Sunday at 11am to 2pm. We had the back area reserved for 60 to 70 people with food set up buffet style. Excellent customer service from all the waiters that tended to all the guests. The children had fun playing after eating with their Power Play Cards. After playing the arcade games and other entertainment options they came back to the reserved party area to eat again. This is why we love the buffet set up for birthday parties as easy access to food for everyone including all the adults. The children can play while the adults can mingle and eat. Food served buffet style were Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo, pretzel dogs, ribs, chicken tenders, pizza, cheese burgers, mac and cheese, fries, onion rings, salad, fruits, juice, soda and other food items that I may have forgotten to mention. This is the third time we've celebrated a birthday party here including our child's. We highly recommend it as all you have to do is show up and have fun. read more

The games were awful for not working right. Some shooting games had the guns on the wrong side of the corresponding player and/or the reticle was way far off from where you would point. 2 player games often didn't register the second player consuming your points. The internet would often disconnect with a certain section not allowing you to play. Other skill games that involve tossing/throwing balls would have the targets malfunction and I've seen a few with exposed wires like the carnival one or axe throwing. I would try to avoid coming back for the games The staff for food was good and the ones for games were okay. One worker was working the prize area, but kept jumping between the 4 registers tending to other people that walked up when I waited at the original register. Having had both two Dave & Buster Power Cards, including a digital card from the Hollywood location I definitely enjoyed a variety of what Dave & B's has to offer. The food is popular nationwide restaurant meets bar club, almost if Applebee's had an arcade... Think burgers, loaded fries, fried pickles, fried eats, flatbreads, pastas, salads, appetizers, and desserts. I've enjoyed bites here in the past, but mostly partake in libations and game play. A place where adults can be as kid like as they want and kids can enjoy all the arcade, table top and VR games they were meant to. There wasn't anyone on the main floor when I enter... Which there sometimes is, but as soon as you climb the stairs (elevator also available just beyond them)... You'll be greeted. You can purchase and recharge/reload power cards downstairs self serve and/or with the D & Buster's crew. They offer a variety of packages and deals for events from birthday celebrations to holiday parties to work gatherings and more. Aside from planning a party, you can join in on fun nights like Trivia Tuesdays, enjoy sporting events and even play some pool (billiards). It's rarely as busy as the Hollywood location here and the service is nice though it can be a bit delayed at times, especially during holidays, sporting events and such. Easier layout than other SoCal Dave & Busters. Restrooms are fairly clean like the entire arcade meets sports bar restaurant itself. I ordered me one of their rum cocktails and a Stella Artois while I was waiting for my group to arrive. My friend ordered the Chicken Alfredo while I had the Cajun Shrimp Pasta. Everything was well worth the expense that we all incurred at the end of the night. The environment itself gave a chuck e cheese like vibe that caters to all ages alike. I haven't been to a Dave n Busters before, so I didn't know what to expect. If you have someone that has trouble walking, there are a couple flights of stairs to get to the 2nd level venue. I enjoyed all the big screens and the cool vibe. The food is delicious! We enjoyed our meals! I loved my Ribeye, and my husband enjoyed his Creamy Chicken pasta. When the party room was ready, we were impressed with the catering. This place is absolutely perfect for a party. We celebrated a 14 yr old. The food service sucks! The past two times I've came here with my young son to enjoy our Sunday, the service is terrible!!! First visit I was at the bar and ordered a drink and the bartender acted as if I was bothering him to get a drink. Second visit I sat down at a booth to eat before playing and a server took at least 20 minutes. I then ask the manager if there was someone in the section and he pointed to her and she finally came up.
