I went to another repair shop who mentioned they don't work on Acers and there are very few shops that do. They did tell me to check with Pleasanton Computer Repair though. Thank goodness I did! They were able to repair my computer for a lot less than I anticipated and finished the project quickly. My computer is working great, and Gabe even sent me a follow up email 2 weeks after he fixed my computer to check in and see if everything was working well. I highly recommend Pleasanton Computer Repair! They have great customer service, repaired my computer quickly, explained clearly what they were going to do, and provided a really great price.

Then I have a trip coming up where I need to bring my equipment to work off location. My hard drive died the night before and he contacted me pronto to help. He saw me the next day where we met to confirm my laptop was dead on arrival then I ran to get a new laptop where he took it and made come to full life. Full life meaning he saved my old hard drive, my software and set-up better processes for me to use. When I say software, we're talking Quickbooks, Adobe, and Office! Yes I was stressed. But knowing Rodney was on the job, I was sound. And I had my new laptop back and I was up and running that afternoon! This is an updated review as I worked with him back in 2016. He helped me figure out how to print and scan on my Brother printer using their Command Center (that Center is wonky to use). Then helped me with it again and my new HP as again couldn't get them to both scan. I gotta scan and print for my biz. He deserves the bestest review possible as he is the bestest when it comes to PC help. Incredibly responsive, courteous and down to earth. He's knowledgeable and will guide you on a sound path.

He explained there were so many different issues with the CPU, the SSD and the fan and a couple other things and that he COULD certainly fix them all, and re-build things but it would cost about $700-$800. But he said honestly, you'd be better off using that money towards buying a new computer. This one will likely have other issues and it may be a waste of your money. So I asked him how much I owed him for the diagnostic and he said $0!!! SERIOUSLY?!?! So, he could have charged me $700-$800, BUT he chose integrity over income!! Eric, you have a customer for life. You're amazing. Thank you!!!

It's headed towards the graveyard. But since buying a new PC isn't an option for me, I would like to get a modern-day Lazarus miracle and raise this one from the dead. I called up a few computer repair shops and the only thing that hurt more than the thought of losing years of data is the estimate they gave me. So expensive, and they haven't even seen my computer yet! I found Anami Computer Repair in the Yellow Pages. It caught my eye since it offered free housecalls, lowest rates and I won't get charged if Jack can't fix it. True to his claims, he came to my house to pick it up and called a few times to update me on his progress. After a few days, he dropped it off again in beautiful, working condition! He plugged everything himself and made sure it's all set before he goes. All my documents were saved. He even gave me a few PC optimizer apps to help my system run smoothly. I have some programs myself, but his was better! Everything was explained well. And the price for the whole shebang is completely affordable and reasonable. Other shops would have increased the price from their initial quote, but not Jack Marling. Why hasn't this place been reviewed yet? Incredible service, professional guy. He works on his own so there are no overhead charges. Good to know I don't have to go very far to an overpriced computer shop to get some quality work done.
