Brian from DD happened to be driving from Salem to Stoneham to another job when I called, and would be passing my house on the way. Lucky for me! So he stopped by after talking me through a potential fix on the phone. When he arrived, he quickly determined it was a clogged toilet, quoted me a price that was 3 times less than the last "C"ompany I used...including the emergency fee, and unclogged it quickly and cleanly. Live in Newburyport and noticed on a Saturday morning that we had a clogged drain pipe in the basement along with some flooding from back flow pressure. Called a few local plumbers but were told somebody would get back to us. Hours later, no call so I looked up this company on yelp and gave them a call. A nice woman picked up the phone right away got my information and said an on-call would call me. Ok... heard that before... but 10 mins later Coltin called! I explained the situation and he knew exactly what the problem was, he'd heard this before. He was located in Beverly and was at the house in 1 hour. Coltin was very pleasant and professional and thorough. He assessed the situation and confirmed it was indeed a blockage. Emergency call on a Sunday morning. I put out a couple of other calls, but they were able to come the quickest. My job threw several obstacles in the way, and the job stretched out to 6 hours. I was dreading to hear the cost, but in the end, it turns out they do the job for one flat price no matter what it takes, Including the weekend emergency fee, they were WAY more reasonable than others I've used for similar problems in the past. read more

In January, our drains were not draining. In fact, everything was backing up into the cellar sink. I called the plumber who said it was a job for Dash Drains. At that point nothing was draining and I was nervous. Would we have to move out temporarily? I called Dash and was immediately calmed by the company spokesperson. He assured me that they'd get our water flowing (and flushing) again. Twenty minutes later Sam arrived. Unbeknownst to me, our breezeway door was open to the kitchen. Our dog (another Sam) leaped to his feet before I could get to him. He's very protective. Nothing to fear; the dog started wagging his tail when he spotted Sam, so I knew our visitor was a good guy. Was he ever! He was at the house for more than 2 hours cleaning out the main line. The blockage was caused by roots and located somewhere in the middle of the lawn. Sam (the technician) was confident that he could fix it. It was a huge, messy job and I felt the final invoice was more than reasonable. We have had multiple companies out for an older drain not working. Our septic had backed up into our home multiple times - leaving a bathroom destroyed. We called Dash drains desperate after not being able to use our plumbing for 48 hours (due to the blizzard). Serve Pro came out prior and cleaned the mess and when Charlie (my hero!) showed up, I figured that mess would be duplicated and Serve Pro's cost would be a wash. Charlie recognized this on his own and decided to avoid snaking our main line through the bathroom to avoid a mess and went through our septic tank (so much more work for him)! He went ABOVE and beyond addressing our issues and camera'd our line, which no other company even offered to do. He found the roots causing our issue and then marked in our yard where that was for the plumbers in the future so we can replace the pipe in the spring. He was VERY respectful in answering all of our naive homeowner questions. Charlie was extremely professional and very kind. I cannot say enough about this company and Charlie! Chris saved the day. For reasons I'll never fully understand, my girlfriend thought it would be a good idea to dump beef stew down the toilet. Turns out, that's actually a terrible idea. The drain was partially clogged. Thankfully the toilet didn't overflow but it was draining incredibly slowly despite plunging. That's when I called Dash Drains based on the recommendation of a family friend who is a plumber. Chris was here an hour later, on a Sunday no less. He used a closet auger and snaked out a whole bunch of black gunk that he said had been building up in the pipes for a long time from the cast iron. Drain clogged on Thanksgiving. I snaked but no luck (where/s the thanks in that?) so called Dash early Monday, and Sam was here by 9. We dug up septic tank, no issue there, then he brought in a huge snake (scared mine) and found the clog half way between, then replaced cap whose thread were gone, cleaned up nicely. I had him leave the septic hole open and see it as opportunity to have that pumped early, Personable, likes his job and tells me the whole company recognizes those who call for drain service already have enough issues and they go out of their way to help even the score.. We had a sewer line back up, creating a huge disgusting mess is our basement. I was worried what this meant on a Saturday. I found Dash Drains on yelp and called. Someone picked up immediately and the technician, Colton, was paged. He called about 15 mins later and provided some advice to minimize the mess while he finished the job he was currently on. He estimated it would be about two hours before he could get to us (two hours faster than the other two companies I had called first), but he arrived within about 90 minutes. He diagnosed the problem quickly and remedied the situation efficiently. He was very professional and polite and answered many questions. He made some suggestions of proactive work to be done to avoid other problems in the future (things Dash doesn't do- so it wasn't making business for themselves). I was dreading what the bill for this would be, especially on an emergency basis, but it was very reasonable. He made a very shitty situation (pun intended) much less awful. He came immediately when we called even though we thought the culprit might have been a full septic tank he said he would come check to be sure. It turned out to be an ice dam in our drainage pipe.
