I Had an issue with my hot water heater and needed a replacement as well as vent work since the…read morevent was not correct and was burning from the exhaust of the water heater. I googled Plumbers near me and saw Paul's page. I called left a message and was called back the next day. We had several back and forth conversations which lead to Lee and Scott (Paul's Associates) coming to my home to look at the issue. Paul showed up a few minutes later and mentioned how he had never seen an issue like mine. Shortly after, all three guys left. Lee called a few moments later and quoted me $2,900! I agreed to have the work done since A: There was a fire hazard B: There was a carbon monoxide hazard and C: the hot water heater was shutting off on me. Soooooo after a bit of looking around (sticker price set in) I contacted Lee and told him to hold off on the water heater replacement. I ultimately decided to go with another plumber who not only came on a Saturday to check out my issue, but charged me $1100 less, yes I said LESS than Paul Foukas did. The job was completed in about two hours and I now have a nice industrial water heater installed and saved myself $1100 dollars! This is my first home and my first major home repair. Do yourself a favor and get a few estimates. If you want the info of who I used, contact me here in yelp. I'll be happy to share.

I reach out to Michael Russo Jr. Plumbing and Heating to do the job. This is where it gets good. I don't know who these plumbers were but they need to go back to school or give up their plumbing license. Since they replaced the toilets I have had a competent company (McLaughlin Plumbing) come in a correct the mess they made. They could not believe what a terrible job they did. I paid them (Russo) $1450.00 and so far to correct the mess they made, I've had to spend approximately $1,000.00. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They are the worse.

Lifesaver! Our older Lochinvar boiler was intermittently failing. Would run fine for days then keep…read moreneeding to be reset. Contacted a bigger plumbing contractor (begins w/ "Cr") a few weeks ago because we were desperate to find anyone to come who we hadn't dealt with in the past. They came and did a service on the boiler, which of course was running fine at that time, but then proceeded to go off again 2 days later. They did come back, but at that time it was running fine again (at least they didn't charge us for that visit). So the week before this record cold it really starts cutting out, so I called Lochinvar and their service branch gave me a few local names. By chance I called Russo first and they said they could be here the day after. Woke up to house @ 52 degrees that morning. Anthony showed up and assured me he would get it fixed, and proceeded to go through with me all the possible issues before replacing the fan unit that was most likely culprit. Couldn't have asked for a more professional and knowledgeable technician. Our only regret was that we hadn't found them earlier. What an immense relief to not have to worry about losing heat on the coldest day of the year!

The night before Christmas Eve, we came home from vacation to find our water heater broken and…read moreleaking in our basement. Gary from K&B was the only plumber (we tried several) who answered our call and walked us through some basic troubleshooting. I had my heart set on a high efficiency tankless replacement, and while Gary thought it was overkill and a bit silly, I really appreciated that he told me what he felt I should know (pricing, maintenance, and water pressure differences) and then let me make the decision. So many contractors try to tell you what you want, but Gary was accommodating and happy to do the work I asked for. He picked up the new heater as soon as the first local supplier re-opened, and had it installed and working by mid-afternoon the same day. The installation itself looks neat, orderly, and professional. I did not solicit quotes (this began as an emergency and I felt Gary had earned our business after helping us over the phone), but the price was reasonable and in line with what I've seen others report paying for similar work. He charged us exactly what we'd agreed upon in advance (no hidden/surprise fees). I'd recommend K&B to anyone in a bind or in need of a serious plumbing job.

I recently decided to try replacing my very old sink disposal that was making a loud grinding noise. It was at least 30 years old so I wasn't surprised. The repair was surprisingly easy as I used the same brand to replace and the flange is the same after decades so I didn't need to do the hard work of interacting with the sink itself. When I pulled out the old unit, sure enough there was Ken's sticker on it from when he installed it for the prior owners of my home decades earlier! It was so old it didn't have an area code needed. Ken's team also told me about some repairs that could be safely deferred and done with the help of the local town when they did other repairs they are responsible for, which saved me about $1000. Tip: visit the Absolute website as there are usually coupons available to reduce the service charges.
