The installers came out when they were scheduled in a timely manner and called before they came. Once here, they were extremely efficient, friendly and so experienced in what they were doing, it was installed in a record amount of time. They were neat and left no mess behind. We can't say enough about this store and their installers. That level of service and care hasn't been seen by us for a very long time. We were very impressed with the entire transaction. I attend the monthly Sound Healings where chakra bowls, drums and voices raise the roof! I have monthly private meetings with Pat, who channels Blessed Mother, Padre Pio, Saints and Angels (I promise!) I have a Catholic background, so that works for me. I also have private monthly meetings with Judy, who is an extremely intuitive medium, using the aide of Tarot Cards. She has over 20 years of experience to offer you, and is gifted with connecting you to loved ones that have crossed over. She specifically connects me with my guardian Angel. There is a situation in my workplace that has become increasingly frustrating and is affecting the…read morework environment. An employee in another department is frequently disruptive to coworkers, including interrupting people while they are trying to complete their work. She hangs outside of their cubicles. Or she spends time at managers desks talking instead of working. There have also been instances where she has been seen falling asleep at her desk. At the same time, she always complains about her workload despite having a shorter workday and way more flexibility with her schedule than many of her coworkers. To be fair, her direct manager has made efforts to address the situation. I've heard he's tried to handle her like any other employee. As he should. However, there is a bigger management issue that makes accountability HARD. This employee's parent is the manager of her direct manager. While her parent may be a perfectly nice person and probably isn't showing favoritism on purpose, having an employee report to someone who ultimately reports to that employee's parent creates an OBVIOUS conflict of interest!! It's not fair to the rest of us on the phones. She gets to come and go with her mom, while we are stuck at work. What about the other people on her team? I'm glad I don't sit over there. But it's impossible not to notice. The issue isn't simply her personality. She is super nice. It's the lack of confidence we have that expectations and accountability are being applied equally, if at all. When we all see someone appearing to have different standards, scheduling flexibility, or consequences than everyone else, it creates resentment and damages morale. A better management structure would remove the family relationship from the reporting chain, or at LEAST establish clear and consistent oversight from someone without a personal connection to her. We should feel confident that performance concerns are handled fairly regardless of who someone is related to. And right now.. we don't.
