The kid room was geared for about 3-4 players but we had a group 7. They also gave a lot of clues to our scouts because they really do want want groups to break out. LOCATION: This escape room is a good option if you want an indoor, non-touristy activity in St. Augustine. The escape room is located about 15-20 minutes south of historic St. Augustine and about 30-40 minutes south of Jacksonville. The easiest route is to take 95 to the SR206 (Crescent Beach/Hastings exit) otherwise you can get stuck with all the lights on US1. The strip is located behind a Walgreens. They offer great group prices if you're looking to have your kids try out an escape room but don't want to drop too much $$. They also let us sneak a peek at the two other escape rooms. Looks fun! BTW - You can celebrate your escape with ice cream at the Cold Cow just two miles up the road (gotta love when you can rely on Yelp to find an ice cream spot when your troop finishes earlier than expected!)

Our guide, Chance, was knowledgeable, fun, and engaging. He took time to find out what we were most interested in to make sure to point out relevant locations and share poignant facts. The tour was well-paced and Chance was incredibly considerate about finding us shady spots during the outdoor talking stops on the tour (it was quite a hot day, even for Florida). The food and wine stops were all impeccable; the food portions and wine pours were generous and everything was absolutely delicious. The dining stops were also a great break from the heat - each stop lasted enough time to savor the food and wine and enjoy the air conditioning. We appreciated that the tour was at 2 pm rather than a peak time for restaurants; the stops were not super busy or noisy which made for a very pleasant experience. This is an interesting and fun way to learn about St. Augustine's history and present food scene. We highly recommend St. Augustine City Walks.

If you get her as a guide, you will not be disappointed. I think our other guide Matlock was new. It felt like he was playing a character or role. It may have been the way they chose to split up the night, but his parts felt cheesy. Overall, it was an interesting tour and somewhat what I expected.

Being the highest rated walking ghost tour in St. Augustine, and the fact that it was dog friendly,…read moremy husband, dog,and I decided to check out the Night Watchman Ghost Tour. We gathered at the storefront, and almost immediately my dog started acting confused and scared. He's an 80 lb pitbull, and get doesn't really get scared of anything. At one point, he lept into my husband's arms (a move solely used at the vet's office). As soon as all of the patrons had arrived, Scott, our storyteller, told us about a little ghost girl Lily that lives in that building. She will often play with marbles and a doll in that same room. My husband and I have no doubt that she was petting the dog and that's what freaked him out. It was a great beginning to our ghost tour for sure. Scott then spent the next 2 hours taking us from place to place telling us about ghost encounters in the buildings that we were standing in front of. He was immersed in the history of St Augustine, even being a volunteer archaeologist and helping move parts of history. His storytelling skills were second to none. Even our dog, who had walked ALL day long around St Augustine, stayed close to Scott trying to listen to the stories and was excited as we moved to each place. It was a slow paced tour so you don't have to worry about being physically fit to partake. It was a well-spent 2 hours that my husband and I truly enjoyed. The dog enjoyed it too, except for being petted by the ghost Lily. We highly recommend this tour! Thank you, Scott, for such a fun adventure!

His ghost stories were right on par and none of that tacky paranormal equipment or fabricated sightings. We were lucky enough to be the only 2 souls who signed up this particular Thursday. He could have cancelled, rushed through the tour or lost interest due to our group size but this was NOT the case. At one point, we steered questions towards the general history of St Augustine and there wasn't a single question he could not answer! Everything is impressive, but highlights for me were the stunning Tiffany chandeliers, the clock made by Thomas Edison, and the grand dining hall still used by students today. Tips: When in the Palm Beach area visit the incredible Flagler Museum in Palm Beach... fantastic. And when in Tampa, visit Flagler's buddy's Tampa Bay Hotel (built in 1891) also turned into a college... at the Henry B. Plant Museum.

Behind the desk was a huge pillar with a painted detailed timeline of the landmarks in the immediate area. Took about ten minutes to view most of the interesting stuff which was spaciously displayed. They also offered clean gender assigned bathrooms and a little food mart and gift shop. Oh wait...did I also say it had freezing air conditioning?
