Beef carpaccio

Overall this place is good! Cocktails were delicious as was the food. As pasta comes, it is slightly more expensive. The ambience is cool/trendy vibe. The lights aren't bright and there is a variety of seating. We sat at a table with a bench option on one side and a chair on the other. When they learned it was my birthday they brought me complimentary dessert.

Dirty martini and Nah-groni

We went here on a Saturday night for a birthday for a party of 7. Got lucky with parking by finding a meter close by. Our table was in its own little nook to the left of the hostess station which was an amazing location. It was not loud at all! Noah was our server and he was very attentive. We had a variety of cocktails from the menu- Matcha Mojito, Gardener's Delight, Gin & Tonic and Lion's Spritz. They were all delish! Other drinks we had were the Dario strawberry soda, dirty gin martini and a Nah-groni and those were good too. We tried many starters- gazpacho (tomato- amazing!) on the menu, cucumbers, beef tartare, crudo, potatoes and gem lettuces. Loved the gazpacho, beef tartare and gem lettuces. The others were ok. For our dinners, we shared a bunch of pastas and absolutely loved the spicy rigatoni allá Vodka, summer spaghetti, and ricotta dumpling. The Halibut was amazingly flavored too. The desserts we shared were great - affogato and chocolate cake. All of this food led to a very hefty bill, so this place is a special occasion experience for us.

Dario definitely lived up to the hype! The Doppio pasta dish was delicious and I will be coming back for it! I love the unique, colorful, tasteful vibe they have going on! I would come back for the atmosphere alone! The only downside is this is on the $$$ side and you will be paying up for smaller portions.

Went to Dario for a date night and enjoyed the food and service. Our favorite was the potatoes! The Spicy Rigatoni alla Vodka was good but not as amazing as I was expecting. Overall good experience

This place surely impressed! The server was extremely friendly and was able to offer up plenty of great suggestions and how to go about ordering. She suggested getting a handful of items and sharing amongst the table and that was definitely the move! If I had enough room, I would've ordered one of everything on the menu! The standouts to me were the potatoes, gem lettuces, and the mezzaluna. Would come back just to try those again! We were celebrating an engagement and they were very accommodating and brought out some bubbly for us to celebrate with! The vibe is very classy and almost feels like a very modern/updated 70's/80's vibe. Super fun and unique restaurant that I haven't seen anywhere else. Definitely a place for special occasions!

Dario will always be one of my favorite spots in the cities! You have to be up for a fun colorful restaurant that can sometimes be louder than others (not too loud) and open to fun twists on pasta but it never disappoints. We split 3 pastas, a salad, and the quail at our table and everything as always was perfection. The gem salad with a mountain of parm and the puffed farro is a perfect little Caesar salad ish moment, but the quail - omg the quail! It was insanely good. I'm now trying to figure out how to replicate the butternut squash farro on my own because it was my favorite bite of the evening.

Been here a couple of times and their doppio pasta has been my fav! I've also tried the tajarin which I didn't like as much and the broccoli mezzaluna which I loved. Their dolceta red wine was also super good. They have a rotating pasta menu but the doppio stays constant.

Spicy vodka rigatoni

Went to Dario for a quick dinner, the vibe is absolutely adorable, very cute and girly! The service was also great, different style in the sense it comes out when it's ready so order everything at once and the waitress structures it but overall we got everything at a good time. Now for the food, wow, the gem lettuce was delicious, would come back just for that. The fried potato cake was different, it was good but not the star which is ok. It was essentially a hash brown with caramelized onions then topped with the cream, there is Tabasco in it and you can tell, had a bit of a kick. Finally the spicy rigatoni, it was so good, handmade pasta and you can tell. Great flavors and overall outstanding, I was spicy but not too spicy. I have a low spice tolerance and I could manage but if you do not like spicy at all then I would suggest to try something else but I can't imagine anything is bad here! Would definitely recommend and I will be back!

Ah, we had high expectations for this place since it's been on our bucket list of restaurants for 3 years... it disappointed us. Frankly, the price of this food was much too expensive for the quality, portion size, and presentation. The app (crudo) had amazing flavor in the sauce though the rest of it was subpar. Inside the short rib pasta was a meat purée rather than meat chunks. The saffron was really chewy with reminders of taco meat, not lamb. The lemon ricotta tasted and looked like it came from a basic grocer bakery. The service was slow and awkward. The ambiance was too dim for sensitive eyes and they were playing heavy medal music. It was worth a shot, though we won't be back. * Metered parking (small shared lot) * $75 per person for party of 3 - $$$$$$$ * Need reservations * Crowded by patrons and staff (had an unpleasant encounter with another patron in line for the bathroom that was not in our party)

finally made it to Dario for my birthday and I apologize for an extremely belated dinner recap this spot had been on my list forever, and overall, there were some really high highs. the apps absolutely delivered, and the salad was one of the freshest I've had in a long time. simple but done so right. my friend's pasta (the doppio ravioli) ended up being the standout of the night. not something I would've ever ordered myself, and I was immediately humbled. absolutely delicious. espresso martini felt a little...light for the price, but not a dealbreaker. we've all been there. the one thing that stuck with me though, and honestly might be the difference between a return or not, was the birthday dessert situation. we booked it as a birthday dinner, they brought out dessert... and then charged us for it without saying anything. ‍ not only that, but it was pretty underwhelming and we didn't even get spoons until it melted. and still not comped.... for the price point and overall experience, it just felt a little off. overall: really good food, but expensive and a pretty tight menu. a few things done incredibly well, a few things that just didn't quite match the vibe.

This Amazing on trend Minneapolis Gem in the north loop is a must go to. All the cocktails and drinks are outstanding and unusually delicious and unique. Start with an array of tastings with the lobster pasta, then the delicious flavors of the lamb cuisine, and of course the halibut fish option is oooh so good. We concluded our food extravaganza of culinary excellence with the decadent but light chocolate cake, and the coconut sorbet and the another delicious cake dessert. The ambience and excitement of the environment styled restaurant and atmosphere lends itself to a pleasant and fun space to kiki with friends. The service was fun and the handsome staff and beautiful hostess made our experience so welcoming and awesome. Dario is the place to be for any dinner, lunch, weekend social or just for a fun delicious food experience.

I don't even have enough words to describe how incredible this restaurant is. Food is out of this world, MUST get the doppio but they will sell out so be aware of that. I've been twice and both times the service was not only tentative but their waitstaff have fun personalities. Open kitchen concept is always neat, decor is tasteful, and music is trendy. I asked what their biggest complaint is and they said people will sometimes comment on music being too loud. I didn't think so. YES, it's pricey but it's reflective of the quality.

Ask the Community - Dario

Do they offer any tables for walk ins or is it reservation only?

Walk in at the bar usually but very popular place so would suggest reservation ahead of time

Are there any gluten-free pasta options?

I believe the risotto is gluten free. Maybe the ricotta dumplings too. There are so many vegetables & protein options, I'm sure you could find some dishes that work for a gluten- free diner.

This place has a fun vibe and their branding has a sense of humor. They have QR codes on each table so you can order on your phone, and they have WiFi available. Alternatively, someone can take your order if you'd prefer! For the burgers, you can choose between the impossible patty or the black bean patty. For the chicken sandwiches, you can choose grilled or fried vegan chicken. For beverages, they have cocktails, mocktails, wine, beer, THC drinks, milkshakes, pop, lemonade, and more! There are so many options which is great! The fries are crispy! One of my friends went with the ranch fries which were good, but in my opinion it was not worth the $2 upcharge for the amount of seasoning that comes on them. I would recommend sticking with the regular fries and ordering a side of ranch as a dipping sauce instead! This is the only place that I'm aware of where you can get a vegan juicy lucy! It is very cheesy, and it's fun that there's a meatless version of a MN classic! It was messy to eat though so make sure to have a napkin nearby! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and would go back! I think it's be a great place for hanging out with friends, especially if there are any vegans or vegetarians in the group!

Upon entering we were greeted by a woman who was clearly wearing multiple hats as she seemed rushed, a bit off putting and quite frankly distracted. It was Juneteenth the middle of the afternoon and there were maybe 6 people at the bar and one other table besides ours with 2 diners. The person seating us was also our server and the bartender. Menu is small but the items we ordered were all fabulous! Every single one! The collard green dip with cornbread pita chips was absolutely delicious - Think spinach artichoke dip but soul food! The salmon croquettes with lemon herb aioli and arugula salad that accompanied were fresh and light! The catfish sandwich with fries was hot, crispy and well seasoned with fresh lettuce and tomato on a perfectly tender brioche bun. I want to return so bad for the food but it was clear this host, server, bartender and partial cook was pulled in too many directions and that severely compromised our service and gave us stand off energy as first time patrons. I looked it up and she is actually one of the owners. She came across as irritated especially once we didn't order any alcoholic drinks first and then very short and curt following. What took the cake was her telling us she was leaving for the day and needed to close our tab while we were eating. Didn't ask did we want to order anything else and there was another server taking her place and an empty restaurant! My partner had to put his sandwich down wipe his hands pull out his wallet while she stood there impatiently. Then proceeded to linger around hugging her regular bar patrons. It was clear this is a "regulars" spot and if you're not one you're rolling the dice on the service you may or may not get. We were patient and didn't complain because it was Juneteenth and our intention to support black restaurants all weekend. I have many previous years in the industry as a cook, host and GM and I was stunned to know that she was one of the owners when I looked it up. Had planned to return for live music but unfortunately the off putting energy and unwelcoming vibe may have squashed that possibility. I hope they improve service because the food is delicious and deserves attention from a larger and more sophisticated audience.
