Extremely small wings. I mean I'm really confused & need answers. Every wing was like this. Theres just no way.

a sandwich with lettuce and tomato

This is a interesting bar and grill establishment where you seat yourself and the waitress will come to you. Open during COVID-19 they will provide you with drinks in to go cups, condiments in small containers or pouches, and a packet of disposable silverware as well as extra napkins. My son and I had the chicken sandwich. I had just the normal fried sandwich on a jalapeño roll. He had the same but with buffalo sauce. We also tried the onion rings, fries, and sweet potato waffle fries. First let me tell you that the two sandwiches were amazing. They were larger than a child-fil-a sandwich. You can barely fit it in your mouth. The jalapeño roll had a hint of spice and it was a little sweet but no flavor was too overpowering. This sandwich was not too salty and they loaded it up with tomato and lettuce which was unique for me. Better than fast food and worth the premium price of a little over $9. The sandwich is epic and you don't really need a side dish with it. The side dishes/ appetizers were less amazing. The worst was the French fries. They tasted like they had been dredged in flour. They were cooked to death. I was so happy that I asked for more water because I needed it to wash down the dry fries. These were the worst bar fries I have ever had. The second worst was the onion rings. Also cooked to death they were so crispy they shattered in your mouth. It was nice they used real onions but something about them just seemed off. The best of the side dishes was the sweet potato waffle fries. They were still cooked within a inch of their life but they actually tasted great. So if you want some fries I would go with this option. Stay away from the French fries. You have been warned. Also be aware that the sandwich is pretty large. No side dish is really needed. All in all this is a pretty great dive bar/ hole in the wall. If we ever come back I would like to try their burgers with the sweet potato fries.

The wings and burgers are amazing! This is also a great spot to grab gallon jugs of margaritas to-go.

Great food! We were there for a birthday and had the best service I've seen in a very long time in any establishment from our server Jamie.

Beware - music is very loud! Not a quiet peaceful place if that's what you are looking for. (However, takeout is definitely an option.) No question this location is sports related with all the decorations on the walls. Great bar area seating if you don't want a table or booth. Lots of seating. Restrooms clean. Menu - huge selection! My cousin, Larry Joe and I had crispy, perfectly fried onion rings with spicy ranch, ranch with Sriracha sauce, and Boom Boom sauce, cocktail sauce mixed with mayonnaise, which was soooo good. Must ask for extra :-) They have like eight different sauces for dipping. For our entrée we had Catfish Orleans. Oh my gosh, we chose fried catfish filets, instead of blackened baked, served over rice, topped with crawfish étouffée, and hand-battered shrimp. So delicious. I will be ordering that again. Great service the minute we walked in by the hostess, waitress, and food staff delivery to our table. They kept checking in to make sure everything was good or if we needed refills or wanted to order more. Definitely will go back.

She took our order and it came out within ten minutes. Here is where it goes down hill - the food sucked. The gumbo was beyond salty - so much so we didn't eat it. The cajondillas were incredibly dry - how do you have a quisadilla with next to no cheese? Good thing it came with a dipping sauce which was the only way to get it down. The red beans and rice that came with it was actually good and the side salad was fresh. I think this is a place where you order a bunch of drinks and it will make your food taste better. We will give it another shot sometime and try something different as they do have a large menu of sandwiches, burgers, steak and salads. Probably should be 2 stars but it wasn't all bad and we liked our server!

That was a great first impression. And then our server greeted us by asking which of us was celebrating her birthday. I'll assume that was a brainfart or a failure to read the reservation notes, but I wondered briefly whether he assumed two women dining together wouldn't be celebrating an anniversary. We started with drinks; she had a 1988 (a variation on a French Blond, but named as a tribute to the year the Women's Business Ownership Act allowed the owner to go into business for herself) and I had a Royal Navy (a zero-proof cocktail with delicious herbal and citrus flavors). They were both outstanding. The cheese board, listed as the chef's selection of 4 cheeses and housemade crostini, also included a cube of guava jelly as lagniappe. The kitchen sent it out without crostini, and our server (not one of their regular servers, I guessed) didn't tell us what any of the cheeses were. This baffled me; when we ordered it the server actually explained what 'crostinis' (sic) meant, as if we were unfamiliar with the term. Whatever they were, they were tasty, and lucky for us none was soft enough to need a platform. My wife says her jumbo shrimp skewers were great and she loved the chimichurri enough to take it home for later. My market salad ("local lettuce mix, rotating summer veg & dressing") was a perfect example of quality over quantity: pecans, crumbled cheese, fresh berries, and raspberry vinaigrette on leaf lettuce. Eight beautiful, tender pieces of lettuce. So I certainly had room for dessert. And the dessert was a real treat: a three-inch peach caramel tart, an anniversary gift to us. We enjoyed it and had an enlightening conversation with the charming GM, who confirmed my suspicions that the uneven experience was a result of another staff member stepping in to cover for a server. If Apero fits your budget once in a while, give it a try. They're likely to delight you. (But if you're used to larger portions, you might want to have a bit of a snack first.)
